Johun walked in the cantina. He wasn't really interested in a drink, but rather to people watch. He found people interesting. It was always surprising how much you could learn from someone without them realizing they were telling... Johun grabbed a booth in the back and stretched himself out through the establishment with the Force...

Well, at least the BAR was still here.
Strolling into the Bubble and Squeak Cantina was none other than Jedi Knight Adieumus Matango. Ice had told him to grab a glass of wine before he got home, as she wasn't going to be there for a couple of hours, as she had things to attend to in the RDMC. It was a no-brainer to use that time to catch up with Desmond, and let him know what exactly was going to be happening with the Jedi Watch...he had asked to be informed of any kind of place for him if it opened up...and it had. Intelligence gathering was going to be a major part of the new vision that Adi was getting for the Watchmen....
...Something like Yavin IV? It wasn't going to happen again...not without the Jedi being prepared.
Stewing over this and other things, Adi sat at a booth in the back corner...the former LAN private area, and ordered his usual...a glass of Noghri wine. The server nodded, and not a minute later, returned with a bottle of wine and a glass, pouring one for the Jedi Knight.
"Just leave the bottle."
Nodding, the server smiled, and walked away. Picking up the glass, Adi took a sip. There was much to be done, and not anywhere -near- enough time to do it. Checking his comlink, he noticed there were no messages as of yet. He was hoping for -some- word from those that had stayed behind on Yavin by now...but it was understandable that they hadn't sent him a message. There was much to do as far as cleanup, and rebuilding...not to mention there were still Mandalorians causing issues in and around the Yavin system. What they were doing wasn't apparent yet though...but it was worrisome to the Watch Lead.
Taking another gulp, he sat the glass back on the table and leaned back, looking over the Cantina. It was near empty right now...which was highly unusual. Any other time, day or night, the place would be filled with those who needed a good drink, or a meal. Today, however...there were only a handful of people scattered throughout the bar, sitting alone and sipping their drinks. It was kind of sad, really...it was like there was some sort of catastrophic disaster that had struck the entire sector...possibly the entire galaxy....and caused everyone to go into hiding. Strange, to say the least....but things were slowly getting back to some semblance of normal. Hopefully, things would be back in the norm soon.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed someone...someone he knew from a long while ago....Jedi Knight Johun Starfield....and he was sitting across the way. Waving over the server, he asked her to ask the young knight to come and join Adi. Again nodding, she dashed off toward Johun to give him the message.

Johun felt him before he saw him. Knight Mantango... Johun had many interactions with the man, but not for some time. He was across the bar from Johun. He had probably noticed Johun, just as Johun noticed him. But still... Johun was feeling ornery... Johun stood and walked calmly toward Adi, approaching from behid him, purposefully out of eyesight. Johun was being deliberate in his trying to be undetectable, at least until he was upon his colleague...
Corellian Ale makes a better drink.
Johun had a typical Corellian smirk, making sure Adi would see it if he looked at him.

"And you make too much noise, Knight. One of these days, you'll learn to walk more quietly. Besides, Corellian Ale gives me gas."
Adi had noticed the man, indeed. The server had tried to pass the message, but had nearly bumped into Johun on the way past. Waving for him to take a seat, Adi smiled. He picked up the bottle and refilled his own glass, pulled out one of his 'prescribed' smokes, and lit it, inhaling deeply of the herb. Taking another long drag, he offered it to Johun, not exhaling for a few seconds. It calmed his mind nearly instantly, and relaxed his tired, bruised muscles. He hadn't suffered any major injuries, but defending the Praxeum Hangar against untold numbers of Mandalorian attackers when Adi covered the evacuating Yavin Station Jedi, it tended to make one a bit sore in the body.
"How have you been, Johun? It has been some time since last I've seen you."
He waited for Johun to either accept or reject the 'smoke', and his response.

Johun politely decline Adi's smoke, but did pour himself some wine.
Indeed. Too long in fact.
Johun took a drink.
I have been well. But I have been trying to find my place within the Order. How has Ashla been to you?

A large, gargoyle like being, entered the cantina and began walking towards Adi and his companion, relying on force of habit and memory, to point him in the right direction before he verified Adi's position with his senses. The being stood over 2 meters tall, had thick leathery wings on his back, scaly skin the color of slate, and pupiless eyes whiter than snow. He wore a grungy and wrinkled black flight suit, with a light saber at his right hip and a chiss Charric strapped to his left thigh. They had both served him faithfully on Yavin, and he was loath to part with either of them for any period of time. He noticed that Adi was talking to someone he hadn't met before and veered slightly to one side, and taking a seat a little farther down, allowing the two some privacy if they desired it. Glancing through the menu, Shihab, for that was his name, ordered Shig, a drink reputed to be similar to the teas he loved so much. He sipped at the steaming brew when it arrived, enjoying both its sharp aroma and rich taste.

The sirvo driven power doors opened with a creak reminiscent of a free swing door of a saloon. The camera focuses in on black leather hard soled knee high boots as they gave deep, purposeful, thuds with everystep; so distinguishable from each other and the general hustle and bustle that these cantinas usually came with, that the boots might as well chimed as spurs would on an old cowboy. The camera lifts with purpose as the figure stops in the middle of the saloon; past a Mandalorian honour sash and up a lavendar colored tunic towards the rogueishly handsome and familiar face of the Corellian Jedi Master Will Son'tir.
His face and hair has adopted a more purposeful and distinguished look, the beard was trimmed much shorter and the silver streaks were less prominence as the strength of the jet black hair took the forefront. But his character and demeanor can always be found behind the eyes. The piercing icy blue eyes surfed the few occupied tables and reached in the Force to find who he came to find.
It wasn't hard to find the pint sized Honoghr native that served as the Order's Watch Lead. Will mossied on over to the bar and ordered, of course, a Corellian ale and went to join the two jedi. Will pulled up a chair.
"Long live, the Prince." A mock toast towards the direction, and a wink towards his fellow Corellian, Johun, and a hardy sip of the glass announces the jedi master's attendance to the meeting.
Some might notice that the more serious and disciplined demeanor has seemed to have melted away with the hot and molting hulls of Yavin Station; or evaporated like the evanescence of rail gun fire and extinguished with the flamethrowers of the Mandalorian commanders that invaded Yavin IV.
"What. Is. . shaking?" Will pats Adi on the back, then casually sits back in his seat and focuses more on the glass then the other two men in attendance.

"She treats me well, I suppose. I am alive, breathing, and able to continue my job. I..."
Adi stopped, mid sentence, and just kind of...stared...at the man who entered, boots clicking on the floor. What. the kriff. was Master Sont'iir doing? Didn't he realize that look was -so- 45 ABY? Seriously, a cameraman? Was this a reality show or something now? Why was there a cameraman walking in backward in front of the distinguished Jedi Master, the camera never leaving Will? Why was there a camera on one of his Watchman to begin with??
Oh, this was going to be good....
The Corellian Jedi Master approached, stopped, toasting Adi...and a look that would have scared the pallid paleness from Palpatine was thrown at the Corellian when he said 'Prince'. Matango =HATED= that title. He was not a 'Prince' of anything anymore...it was merely his family that had given him that title, he had not earned it. Having a title just from being born into a family was not reason enough to earn the respect that came with a title...besides that, the family was pretty much gone now. There were few Adasca's left, and aside from Adi's kids, were scattered across the galaxy. It had taken a long time to get rid of the stigma of having royal Arkaninan blood running through his veins, and to hear someone else yet again dragging it back up, it just served to add to the already somber atmosphere hanging around Adieumus.
Way to be a buzzkill, Will...bring up more bad memories, and further sour your leader's mood....
As Will put his hand on Adi's back, the 'Prince' tossed a friendly elbow to the Corellian's ribs, hoping to knock a little wind out of him...and some ego..then answered his question.
"It's good to see you well, Master Sont'iir, but if you EVER call me Prince again? You'll be assigned to Hoth, permanently.
How are things with you?"

It hadn't been long since Desmond had last been in the Bubble and Squeak, but he never did anything the way normal folks did. Entering through the backdoor as was his usual thing since first going there, the bartender nods avidly to him. At this point, Desmond wore the exact same clothing of the bartender, a simple black tie and vest over a white button up shirt and nice pants. The difference being that Desmond's suit was worth over 3,000 credits. With a newly grown beard, and a change in the color of his hair to a lighter red compared to the normal black that he typically wore Desmond looked nothing like he normally did. The disguise was perfect. His mind was closed, completely closed off to the Jedi around him. If any of the Jedi moved their senses to him, they would see him standing there, but in the force he would almost be an empty hole, a darkness within the light. Gingerly picking up a dirty glass, he slides a towel over it as he stands behind the bar directly where the small party was convening. Silent and watchful, he listened carefully to them as they spoke, but never would anyone notice this action. Nodding to the bartender, he pats his back.
"I'll watch the bar for a moment Jeffery, go have a smoke."
Nodding gratefully to the break in the day, the man heads out the back as Desmond leans back against the counter of the bar, waiting for one of the folks to order a drink.

"It's good to see you well, Master Sont'iir, but if you EVER call me Prince again? You'll be assigned to Hoth, permanently.
How are things with you?"
Before Will sat down, he used his free hand to tip his cameraman, A stealth Bothan who was gone as quickly as he came. But while Will was about to take a sip of his ale, a sharp jab can be felt into his ribcage; Will kept all of his breath and every inch of his ego. Only thing he lost was a splash of ale that managed to escape his glass and find refuge on his tunic. A flash of irritation went through the Corellian master's eyes; perhaps not by Adi's actions, and maybe not the damage to his tunic-- but more likely for the waste of perfectly good . . .refreshments. Will placed his drink down and shook the excess of the drink off his right hand where the glass was previously held; Will purposefully sucked his thumb dry as he listened to Adi's ultimatum. Will locks eyes with Adi, after another sharp sip."Yes, your worshipfulness. . . you say that like I never been to the iceball before." His bodies shivered with memories of -60C degrees in daytime northern hemisphere of Hoth-- driving him to take another sip. "How am I doing?" The usually sharp and piercing blue eyes of the Corellian, have a distant gloss in them; a bit blood shot around the irises. "What a great question." With a snort to himself, No more elaboration was given, just another sip of his ale. "You called me here, which I am assuming for the same reason you called this handsome fellow here" indicating the gargoyle like creature "and this ugly oaf of an excuse for a Corellian." tipping his glass to Johun in a longstanding tradition for all Corellians to give each other a hard time; because the entire galaxy already understands how gorgeous Corellians are. Will's eyes float down to the low level of liquid in his glass. turns around towards the bar he put his back to and flags down the new bartender that relieved the old one; and points frivolously at his glass and wagging a finger up and back-- a "one more bar keep" signal. "Well, spit it out. What has our intrepid Watch Lead have up his mechanical sleeve tonight?"

The Jedi's mood went from slightly loopy and jovial, to somber and quiet....the question was valid...and he really wasn't sure how to explain it to the group. He was despondent for countless reasons, first and foremost being ordered off Yavin before he had finished what he had set out to do. He felt like he could have made a difference, perhaps turn the tide of Mandalorians swelling to take the bastion of Jedi holed up in the Praxeum. It was against his nature to leave a job undone, and yet, he had obeyed the Council without a word. It was a testament as to how far he had progressed as a Jedi, to be sure...but it didn't mean he had to like it. Turning to face Master Sont'ir, Matango's own icy blue eyes locked on Will's.
"Honestly? I don't know, Master Sont'ir. I'm not really used to defeat, truthfully...or being told to leave a battle that has not yet been won. I don't know where we stand, what to do. I was hoping that by us coming together, maybe we could come up with something as a team.
I'm truly at a loss. I don't know how else to put it."
Adi sighed heavily. It was the truth...he didn't know how to take not being able to finish a mission, or accomplish his goals. It was a whole new experience for the knight, and it left a very sour taste in his mouth. Even as they sat here, trying to come up with something, he felt..for the first time in a very long time...helpless in the face of such a challenge.

About that time, a transmission came through Adi's commlink, it's coming heralded by an obscenely loud beep. Normally, it would probably just have buzzed or something, but since it was sort of a situation, Alkor had made sure that it would get the Watch Leader's attention.
"I know its abnormal for me to make a report, so I'll keep this short. Ryloth has been staggeringly quiet and boring for the past year. I've had nothing t report. Until now, anyway- the Vagrant Angel has just come under attack by a munitions frigate. I've left Lieutenant Ornix to his command, however, I am unsure of the situations surrounding this event. The Force is... shrouded in darkness. And keep your quips about how that shouldn't be a problem for me to yourself. I haven't gazed beyond the veil of the dark side since I was in captivity, and it hasn't started liking me again since.
Trust me, I've been waiting.
Master Frantz is here as well, I'm sure you had something to do with that, though. We are both looking into this situation further. I'll have him keep you posted. I hate these reports almost as much as I hate you.
Centaris, out."

I snort at the Correlians unique description of my physique, but listen quietly while he asks his question and and receives his answer. I ponder the answer, and think about what Uncle Biron might have said if he'd been here. Well, first things first, get your head out of the mud, then you can start swinging again. Taking a deep breath, Shihab does his best to get the group back on it's feet, so to speak.
We should not be to disheartened by the temporary loss of Yavin IV, especially not to such worthy opponents as the mandolorians. They live, eat, and breath to fight harder, longer, and better than anyone else in the galaxy. Instead we should be grateful that we were able to evacuate the temple as thoroughly as we did before the attack began. We cannot liberate Yavin directly, not now, but there must be other planets that we can hit, to draw their attention away from Yavin. If the NR got it's military in order long enough to be a coherent threat, we might be able to raid Mandalor itself, however I suggest we aim a bit lower until the Republic is ready to lend it's fleet to our cause.
Concord Dawn, is home to the Fetts, Or'dinii holds Geonosis and the isolated Lehon, while Fresia and Incom Corp have long been allies of the Mandolorians, surely one of these is within striking distance. Even if we only raid these territories, if we hit hard or often enough it may be enough to substantially weaken the blockade over Yavin IV allowing re-enforcements and supplies to get through.

Will's eyes still to keep their distant glimpse in them. Those eyes can still see . . .all of it. The Red lights strobing against the walls; the glimmer of the red light against the smooth beskar helms and chest plates.
His hands can still feel the warmth of the flame throwers; his skin feels the beads of sweat. His mouth can taste the burning ozone from blaster fire and the oxygen being consumed by the flames. Will's ears can still hear the piercing alarms, the curdling screams of unprepared security personnel. His muscles can still feel the fatigue as he went blow to blow with the assailants. . . .he can still feel their force presences; their distinct signatures in the Living Force as if they are on the other side of the booth with the jedi even that moment.
Will was about to respond to what sounded like a plea for help and support from an elder, ranking jedi of the Order, the Adi's comlink went off and Will heard mention of Ryloth and Mikey, and Will only scoffed and the glimpses of the memories of the LAST time Mike and him were on Ryloth. . .
Will inhaled sharply and gulped back the last of his ale, and listened to what Shihab, Adi's Padawan Apparent, had to contribute. Will gave an attentive nod to Adi to address him as he threw a thumb at the Apprentice "Listen to the kid here." Will hickups, and also releases carbonation from his mouth, then looks back at the bartender; "Where is that dang drink." Will eyes Johun's own ale. "Ain't you gunna have yours? Drink while you can. We are in for a long night." Will turns back to Adi, but stops short and returns to the other Corellian. "What is your assessment of the current affairs, Knight Starfield?" Will is often jovial, and sometimes drunk, but when he adds terms of respect and uses distancing language; most knights of the Order know what to listen and pay attention. Most of all those who claim Corellia as home.
Will was not proud of his state right now, but the Corellian is about to be given a fuller picture about an action plan for the Watchmen, whether it was his current state of inebriation or the comlink call; or the glimpse of intelligence that Shihab had provided straight from the briefing they were all apart on the onset of Yavin, but Will is starting to gain some insight.

Having filled the glass of his favored drink several moments ago, Desmond pushes the glass forward into the intoxicated man's hand. Continuing to polish one of the glasses, he forgets himself. Almost over polishing the clear glass. Setting it down, Desmond grabs another, inwardly beating himself up over the fact that he'd almost dropped his front as a bartender. He was getting old, mistakes like this could get him killed in the real world. He nods to the Jedi as he hands him the glass. Subtly changing his speech so that it wouldn't be so easily recognizable to Adi. As he speaks, the idea of current galactic current affairs almost makes Des drop the mans drink. The blow the Mando'ade had given the Jedi had been almost crushing. A lot of cleanup had to be done, but first these all knowing Jedi would have to realize their own intelligence officer was practicing his well earned traits on his very own allies. The humor of it all made him chuckle on the inside.
"There you are sir, let me know when you're ready for another."

Oh great...more good news...Ryloth was having issues, and Alkor was as prickish as ever. He was making strides, but he was still SO harsh and uncouth, even when he was sober...usually MORE so if he was sober. Monte sounded despondent in his report....Adi knew that Puck hadn't made it out in one piece and the poor guy was blaming himself. Dia hadn't experienced the loss of a close friend in combat before, perhaps? But, according to the preliminary reports, a comchip had been acquired, so the little tiger had accomplished the mission.
There would be recognition for that...Adi would see to it personally.
Still, things were sounding, and looking grim for the spiky-haired, half-drunk, and totally baked Jedi Watch lead's mood, when his padawan spoke up. Leave it to the walking statue to state facts, lay it out, and be rather blunt about things. It helped Adi focus a little better...well, as much as his intoxicated brain would allow at the moment, and for the first time since being ordered off Yavin, the spark of hope was returned. Master Sont'ir's words, too, further inspired the Knight. He was in agreement with Shihab....
...Maybe they were right....No. They -were- right. Adi's head came up suddenly, and he raised a well-sculpted eyebrow.
"You guys are right. We have more important things to attend to other than sulking...I apologize. Thank you for helping me get my head right. "
Adi took a deep breath, and sighed. It was time to put on the big boy pants, and man up.
"What we need is information, and I know just the person. I need to make a call. There is someone that was supposed to meet me here, but he is very late. Either he's already here floating around, or he's passed out in another bar because he misunderstood the directions."
Opening his comlink, Adi sent a message to Desmond, asking him where the kriff he was.....when a beep went off right beside the Jedi Watch group...from the bartender's comlink...just as Adi had opened the call to Desmond......
...Busted.

Johun took a large drink of the Corellian Ale, downing about 1/3 of it. He swallowed the flavorful decadence with a audible, "Ahhh"...
Well, Master, Son'tir. I have been to Ryloth in the past. Masters Frantz, Roma, Shin, and myself, apprentice to Master Shin at the time, helped the natives retake Ryloth from invaders. I lost Master Shin there. I grew as a Jedi there, and know the planet all too well...
Johon takes another drink, smaller this time, more civilized. His mind flashing with some memories of Ryloth... Of Master Shin's death...

As Master Son'tir was taking his refreshed drink from the new bartender, his comlink beeped just as Adi was calling his contact. Will eyes the bartender, with a suspicious squint to his piercing blue eyes-- the intoxication not null to the expression.
You must be, Mr. Heart.
Will takes the drink and takes a long swig; allowing room for an answer.
