Base Dormitories

Terra put down her datapad and went to open the door, not really surprised to see both Morgan and Jake standing there. She smiled."Hi there. Where are you two off to today?"She began to run down in her head what she would need to pack for what she was fairly certain was an inevitable adventure into the jungle. There was no other reason for them to be here after all, if not to head back into the jungle once more.

Well, you don't have to, that is, if you don't want to... We can go again later! But Morgan and I were gonna go anyway, so we thought we'd ask you to... well... yeah.
*There he went again. He blushed and looked down. He was trying to be polite and instead started rambling again and getting flustered. He really should just stop talking...*

*Morgan looked at Jake as he again rambled on about how Terra didn't have to go if she didn't want to, but they were going to go anyway and thought they'd invite her. She grinned, then looked back up at Terra as she agreed to go with them, and asked them to give her a few minutes to get her stuff together.*
Yay! Okay, we'll wait right here!

*Morgan and her brother waited patiently for Terra to get ready and join them. She only took a few moments, appearing with a bag and announcing she was ready to go. Morgan grinned, about to turn and lead them on to the exit when she suddenly remembered something. And that she was forgetting Lokay. Oops. Well, she'd gone without him before and her family took care of him when she wasn't around, but this time she hadn't meant to leave him behind. She grimaced, then, thinking of the other reason she needed to go back to her quarters, smiled.*
I need to get something at my quarters first, and Lokay too. Let's go!
*She waved them onward, leading them down the halls and to where her quarters were. She had them wait outside as she ran in, straight into her room. She removed her clothing and pulled something else on instead, got her gear together, then gathered up Lokay and returned outside to meet up with Terra and Jake again.

When she returned, she was wearing instead her Felucian garb, a dark tan sleeveless dress, with what appeared to be a belt woven around the waist at a slight angle. The belt was decorated with a few teeth bones of animals and black beads dangling from braids, with multicolored tassels hanging from the left hip and a stitched necklace of teeth, colorful stones, and stone-woven tassels. Around her back was slung a quiver and a child-sized bow, right beside her bag.

Morgan beamed up at Terra as she presented herself, then spread her hands.*
This is the dress I was talking about! What do you think?

*Morgan was especially excited for a special reason, and it was for that reason she had dashed through the dorm hallways barefooted until she had located Terra's dorm. She skidded to a stop and nearly tripped over her own feet as she practically hugged Terra's door and rapped her knuckles on it, calling out with unrestrained enthusiasm.*
Terra! Are you there?

*Morgan was actually slightly surprised to see Terra answer the door in only a towel, though didn't mind it. Still, lest someone walk by and accuse her of being decent, Morgan slipped inside so that Terra could close the door, then beamed up at her and bounced on her heels excitedly.*
Guess what? Daddy says we can go stay in the jungle overnight and go see the Felucian village again! Do you wanna come?
*They'd had their many trips into the jungle, but none overnight. That meant they could actually stay in the village longer, meet people there, and join in more festivities. And play ball this time. That would be fun; if Terra was able to keep up with Kayala, she would probably be able to handle all the children coming after them in a game of ball. She just hoped Terra wanted to go...*

*Terra's answer was almost instantaneous and Morgan made an excited noise when asked if they could go now. Morgan thought Terra didn't even need to ask.*
Of course!
*... but that was when she remembered she was forgetting some things of her own, as she glanced down at her feet and lifted one as though to inspect it before setting it back on the ground and looking up at Terra sheepishly.*
... but I need to get some stuff ready too. So uh, I'll meet you outside, okay?
*Come to think of it, it wasn't even shoes she needed, especially as she always went barefoot in the jungle. But if she was going to the village, she needed her Felucian dress, not what she was wearing. And also her pack as well so she could bring some gear with her. But she could take care of that pretty quickly, and when the two met up, they could then embark on their latest adventure.*

Giannah leads me to a small, tidy room with a bed, a table, and an adjoining washroom. The sun has only just set, but I have a big day tomorrow, so I eat a light dinner and go to bed early. I wake before sunup and run through my usual morning exercises, then spend the remaining hour before dawn in silent meditation. Since Clara's death, I've been meditating more than I used to, and I find it helps ease the pain of losing her and the regret over what I did to the men who killed her and her husband.

When the first rays of sunlight reach my window, I stand up, feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead. After breakfast and a shower, I fill a small backpack with everything I think I'll need for the journey. If the information I found on Coruscant is correct, the holocron isn't far from here, but I pack a few days worth of provisions, just in case. I dress in light but durable synthetics that won't restrict my movement. As usual, I go barefoot--boots don't really seem necessary on this warm, humid planet. Finally, I hook my lightsaber on to my belt and step out into the hallway, locking my door behind me.
