*Serena hadn't packed a large variety of items, so helping her unpack her things had been rather easy and fast. When they were finished, Morgan sat on the edge of the bed and smiled at Lokay, who had curled up on the pillow to nap while the girls did their work. Serena then asked what was next, seeing as she likely didn't have any classes that day. And Morgan... had no idea. So she shrugged.* I dunno. My daddy'll probably be back later to tell you what's gonna happen tomorrow... So... I dunno.

"Yeah probably." Serena had guessed that Aerandir would drop by to tell her the routine, but she didn't know when he would show up. In the meantime, there didn't seem to be much to do now. They couldn't go back outside since they likely didn't have permission to do so.
She bit her lip."Um...so what else do you do for fun around here?"There had to be something else to do as long as they stayed in the base, right?

*What else did Morgan do for fun around the base? Morgan sat and thought about it for a moment. It took a little longer than she thought, not because there were a lot of activities, but because she was sure there were more than she could think of. Which, honestly, wasn't very many. So she shrugged.* Not a lot... I train, I practice, Jake and I go to the gardens to play tag or race or wrestle or something. Or we race in the training area or practice dueling, but sometimes we do hand-to-hand practice at home too. There's a pool here too, but since you don't have a swimsuit... *Morgan giggled, not bothering to continue the thought and moving on.* Besides, a lot of times it's used for training too. And of course we do stuff at home too, maybe watch a holovid or something. *Well, she guessed that was a good number of activities, but not as many as there were in the jungle. Still, Morgan was sure they'd be able to find ways to occupy their time here while Serena was around, and maybe find new things to do as well.*

Serena was a little disappointed that she wouldn't be able to use the pool here, bu that was all right as long as they could make trips to the lake. There were other places to play according to Morgan, but she figured that soon her time would be occupied by lessons instead of playing. She wasn't too into watching holovids, but occasionally watched them with her family if her mother wanted to get everyone together for an evening.
She shrugged, but then something else occurred to her."Do you know where your bother is? I wanna meet him!"

*Suddenly, Serena mentioned Morgan's brother again and asked if she could meet him. Well, yeah, they could totally do that! Wherever Jake was... What time was it? Morgan glanced at a chronometer in the room; oh, it would be about that time Jake would be getting out of his lessons and heading home, if she was right. Morgan grinned and hopped off the bed, walking around it towards where Lokay was sleeping.* He should be getting home now, I can show you my home too! Wake up, Lokay! *She gently coaxed him awake, and after a blinking awakening, he made a noise of affection and crawled onto her shoulder. Then Morgan turned and led Serena out of the room and towards Morgan's quarters, which were only a few corridors down.*

Serena grinned and hopped off the bed, very much looking forwards to meeting Jake. She wondered if there were other kids her age around besides Jake and Morgan, but she could ask Morgan about that later. For now, she was eager to meet Morgan's brother.

*When Morgan reached her quarters with Serena, no one seemed to be home. She looked around curiously, figuring that her father was out doing some business, her aunts were finishing up practice, her mom was with Kayla somewhere, and Jake was likely on his way home. Well that was fine, they had a little time until their family got back and Morgan could show Serena their home. ... only the living area and her bedroom, but it was something at least.
The living area itself was fairly large and open, with one corner dedicated to entertaining, having some furniture and entertainment center. There was the kitchen in another corner, and a table for eating at. There were other various paraphernalia in the room as well, but Morgan moved on to her own room, which she shared with Jake. Now her room was no plain room. The floor, while not actual stone, was designed to resemble a stone floor, with a carpet in the center and a rug beneath both of the beds in the room. The beds were four-posters, Morgan's having light purple curtains and Jake's with green. There were various shelves and dressers with different items on them, and even a section of the room dedicated to Lokay. It even had its own window to the gardens that Morgan could adjust to let in a certain amount of light or none at all. The most striking feature was the small stream that ran through her room, connected to the gardens; it flowed in from a grate in one wall and out through another.
Morgan grinned and looked at Serena.* My daddy had my room made special for me, and we even fixed it up a bit when Jake came to live here. What do you think? *Morgan loved her room, though she loved being outside much more. She wasn't trying to show off, she was just genuinely excited to show it to a new friend.*

Serena grinned back at Morgan."Wow...you have a really nice room, Morgan!"She felt a little jealous of Morgan for having such a nice place, especially since her room back home had been rather plain, and small too. Still, she was really impressed with Morgan's room, even if she kind of wished hers was like this too.

*Morgan giggled when Serena complimented her room, even as Lokay took off from her shoulder and glided over to his food. As he began to eat, Morgan walked toward her bed and lifted herself up onto it, turning and sitting down upon the edge before inviting Serena to join her.* Thanks! My daddy knows how much I like being outside, so he made my room as nice as he could. See the ceiling? It's a little dark, but watch this! *She hopped off the bed, ran to turn the lights out, then to close the window to the gardens. When the room was pretty dark, she felt her way back to her nightstand. Once there, she found her star lamp and activated it. Then, upon the ceiling, stars were cast in various patterns with some known constellations of the sector, twinkling and dazzling across Morgan's ceiling. Morgan giggled and climbed back onto her bed, laying back and folding her arms behind her head, looking up at the "night sky."* I always have this on when I sleep. I don't need it, but it's very peaceful, and pretty. It's not a real sky, but, well, it's close enough. *She'd clarified that she didn't need it just to prevent Serena from thinking she was as childish as she appeared to be. The light of the projector was enough to dimly illuminate the room, just enough for the two to see each other and find their way around if they had to. Morgan loved her star lamp, and wondered what Serena thought of it, or if maybe she had one or something like it as well.*

Lance was escorted by the droid to the dormitories, Lance was quiet for the whole journey whilst sadly it could not be said the same for the droid who insisted on telling Lance about all the nuances of the entire building, from architecture, to history, to layout. It seemed a very long twenty minute journey, when the droid offered to be of further assistance Lance politely declined then waited for the drone of servo motors to die. Then he silently made his way down the corridor in the direction of the cantine his stomach grumbling as he walked, a constant reminder that he had last eaten some eight hours previous.

She stayed still as Morgan turned the lights off and closed the windows, leaving the room quite dark. Suddenly the room was lit by starlight as Morgan turned on the star lamp on her nightstand and she stared up at it for a moment."That's really pretty..." So Morgan always slept under a starry sky, but she had clarified that she didn't technically need it. Serena hadn't ever used a night light herself, having always felt safe with her big brother around to scare away any monsters. Which led to the question of how she would sleep here in a strange place without Marc to protect her, but she could think about that later.
Turning her attention back to the night sky, she sighed softly and gazed up at it."I wonder what it would be like to actually sleep outside..." She had never been camping before and thus had always wondered what it was like to sleep outside. Haruun Kal didn't exactly have many safe places to spend the night, even in the town she lived in, so she had never slept anywhere besides her room.

I'm home! *Jake announced this as he entered his quarters, but there was no one home. Well, that wasn't too much of a surprise; usually at least Cassie was there but his father and aunts could be out doing business and lessons, respectively. So he shrugged and started to unsling his bag as he headed toward his quarters. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see how dark it was, and the star lamp was active?* Morgan? *She's the only one who used the star lamp, but why at this time of day? Was she taking a nap? Maybe he should've called out a little softer then in case he woke her. He took a few steps into the room, now able to make out the figure of someone on the bed, but it wasn't Morgan. Actually, Morgan was next to this figure, a slightly older-looking girl. Oops, he'd interrupted something! Suddenly grimacing, he started to stammer.* Er, sorry, I didn't know you had a friend here! *Anywhere else, he would have excused himself, but, well, this was his room too, and he felt just as entitled to be here as anyone else, more than anyone else honestly, besides Morgan of course. But what could he have been interrupting anyway? They were only lying on the bed with the star lamp on, so unless they were napping, they probably hadn't been up to anything. Still, if asked to leave, he would. ... not that he thought there was anything going on he needed to be excused from, unless they were having some sort of private conversation, then he could understand, but he was starting to hurt his head, so he stopped trying to understand it and waited for a response.*

*Morgan smiled when Serena said that the star lamp was pretty, then wondered what it would be like to "actually sleep outside." Morgan knew from experience and started to talk about how it was when suddenly the door opened and it was Jake who entered, calling out Morgan's name. Then he seemed to notice that Morgan had company and apologized for intruding. Morgan sat up and giggled, hopping off her bed and running toward him.* Jake! You're here! *She hugged her brother, then reached for the light switch so that they could all see each other better. One arm still around her brother, she turned to face Serena with a grin.* This is my brother Jake! Jake, this is my new friend Serena! She just got here today, she's from— *Morgan's voice suddenly caught in her throat before she could say the planet of Serena's origin. When she said it, Jake would know why she hesitated, but she gave him a knowing look anyway, managing to compose herself before naming it.* She's from Haruun Kal, but she's here to learn from the teachers here! Her family's coming later, so it's just her for now, but she wanted to meet you, so I wanted to introduce you! *Her mood improved dramatically as she moved past the topic of Serena's homeworld, though she hoped Jake took it better than she had; Jake was very empathic when it came to Morgan, so one could never tell.*

Serena grinned as Jake entered the room and quickly sat up. She listened Morgan introduced them, once again noticing that Morgan hesiated before mentioning Haruun Kal, but she didn't think on it further. Her focus was on Jake now, and Serena had to admit it: he was actually kind of cute.
She giggled and waved to him a little."Nice to meet you Jake!"

*Oh, a hug. That meant he wasn't intruding. Jake smiled and hugged his sister, then looked around as she turned on the lights and introduced him to her new friend Serena. Jake gave her a smile, though noted Morgan's hesitance and looked at her with mild concern. Then she revealed the source of her hesitation: The fact that Serena was from Haruun Kal. Jake frowned and held himself holding her a little tighter with concern, but Morgan seemed to be quickly cheering back up, which made Jake smile too. When Serena waved and greeted Jake, Jake smiled and waved back.* Nice to meet you too! *He released Morgan so that he could go put his bag and items away, then approached the two again, folding his hands in front of him.* How long have you been here? Has Morgan shown you around yet? *He was curious what Serena had seen by now, and if there was anything he could do to help. If not, well, that was fine too.*

*Morgan went back to sit on the bed as Jake went to put his stuff away. She was so grateful for him, mostly due to how much he cared for her; she'd noticed he'd held her a little closer when she mentioned Haruun Kal. She'd do the same for him when he felt bad, but, well, he rarely seemed to; he was always the one comforting her, and she was okay with that. It felt good to have someone so close to her; she loved her father and her family, but the fact that he was blood-related somehow made their bond that much stronger: They were all they had left of their blood family. Morgan stayed quiet when Jake asked Serena how long she had been here and if Morgan had shown her around yet. She had, of course, but this was time for the two of them to have a conversation and get to know each other; it wouldn't be any fun if Morgan just took the answers.*

Serena nodded when Jake asked her if Morgan had shown her around."I just got here today, and yeah Morgan showed me everything. We even got to go outside for a little while!"She opted not to mention that they had been skinny dipping, though Jake could probably guess that they had been swimming anyway.

*Well, Jake knew Serena had only gotten here today, he was just curious how long, but clearly it was enough it was enough time for Morgan to have already shown Serena around and gone outside to play. Jake wondered if they'd gone swimming... probably had, if they went far enough, and Jake had to wonder if Morgan had "indoctrinated" Serena yet... or if she even had to. Well, if she came with them on future trips, Jake would have to bring a swimsuit...* Well, that's cool. Maybe we can all go together sometime! Er, the jungle that is, not— *Wait, Serena hadn't even mentioned swimming, so why was he bringing it up?! Abort! Abort!* Never mind. *He blushed and wondered now how to change the subject, then figured he could start by, well, getting to know Serena better.* So uh, what're you like? I mean, uh, we don't know anything about each other, so... what do you like to do? And stuff. *Gee, he was quite the picture of eloquence. Well, it was a start at least, and they could build on it. Hopefully.*

Serena couldn't help but giggle a little at Jake as he spoke, noticing his blushing. Wait, had he been about to ask about swimming? She hoped he wouldn't bring it up. Being out in the jungle was all well and good but there couldn't be any swimming until a swimsuit was acquired. Luckily, Jake hadn't mentioned it.
Back to the questions though. He had asked her about what she liked to do and that was easy to answer.
She smiled."Well...a lot of things. Going outside mostly. I'm really good at outdoor games. Especially swimming games!"Well now Serena had mentioned swimming. Which was OK, so long as there was no mention of nudity...

*She liked outdoor games? Well, clearly she and Morgan would make great friends, and maybe even she and Jake could be good friends as well. Swimming games? Well, those could be good too... depending. Jake gave a nervous grin, then decided it would be best to keep away from the swimming topic for a little while and redirect focus to the other topic.* What kind of outdoor games?
