*Jake held onto his dad, glad to finally have that awful weight lifted. And as his dad spoke, dismissing the term "adoption" as irrelevant and expressing how he and Morgan were his children, regardless of how they came to him, Jake slowly began to smile again, a few, final tears spilling forth at this wonderful proclamation.
Silence ensued, Jake too relishing this moment of closeness. The most cuddly he'd ever gotten with his father had been no more than sitting next to him on the couch, as they perhaps watched a program, or read a story or lesson plan, or were simply spending time together. Jake just wasn't exactly the cuddly type, except with Morgan, whom he had been very affectionate with from the start. Part of that, he believed, was due to the immense joy of finding a relative of his alive, especially a twin sister, one he'd had visions of throughout his life.
... had he been doing the very thing he feared his mom and dad were doing to him? Had he shown Morgan more love and affection than the rest of his newfound family? No, no he hadn't, he just showed affection differently. With his father, it was companionship. His mother, helpfulness and obedience. With Kayla... well, Kayla had always been independent, and Morgan and even Michelle and Annabelle confessed that she rarely sought them out for playtime, though Jake had played with her a time or two.
But Morgan was his twin, and Morgan in general was a cuddly person, so Jake felt no hesitation to be affectionate with her. He supposed there would always be that underlying fact that she was likely his only remaining blood relative, and their separation since infancy had made him protective of her, not wanting to lose her, but did that mean he loved her more than the rest of his family? Not necessarily.
His dad finally broke the silence, and his thoughts, by asking if he wanted to go see his baby sister. Yes, Lucina was his sister too, just as much as Morgan was. He looked down and dried his eye with his sleeves, then beamed up at his dad, nodding.* Yeah!

*After drying his eyes, Jake beamed up at him and nodded, enthusiastically agreeing to go see the baby. Aerandir smiled warmly at this, at the reception of his infant sister at last, and at the first joyous smile from the boy he had probably seen since before Lucina was born. However, there was a new question on his mind, as Jake remained on his lap: Had Aerandir ever carried the boy before? Yes, he knew he was nine, and most nine-year-old boys weren't usually carried around by their father, but all fathers carried their sons at some point in their lives.
Perhaps it was a little selfish, but who was Aerandir to miss out on that opportunity with his own?
So, keeping his arms around his son, he stood, hoisting him into a more comfortable carrying position, and carried him back into the living room. Kayla didn't notice their reentry, still too focused on the baby, but Cassie looked up, at first questioningly, but judging by their smiles and the fact that father held son lovingly, she assumed it went well. So she smiled too as Aerandir brought Jake to the couch, sitting down first and then placing him down beside him, beside the armrest. He then reached for the baby.* Okay, it's Jake's turn to hold Lucina. *Kayla seemed only a little disappointed but didn't protest as Cassie, who seemed overjoyed by this notion, handed the infant to her father. Aerandir took her, smiled at her, then carefully handed her to Jake, helping guide him as to how she should be comfortably held.* And I just changed her a little bit ago, so don't worry, she's fresh. For now. *He smiled as he joked, but mostly he smiled from joy that he had eased his son's doubts and brought a family he almost didn't realize was losing an important piece back together. Seeing the two together warmed his heart, and he was happy that Jake once again felt acceptance. His youngest... and his oldest? Aerandir wasn't quite sure which twin was born first, nor perhaps would he ever be. Would he one day learn? Maybe... but that was a quest for another time.*

*Jake was about rto let himself down from his dad's lap— Wait, he was being lifted? That was a bit of a surprise and he immediately grasped for support. Huh... had he ever been carried like this? He hadn't been sure. Part of his boyish self wanted to be a little embarrassed, but the rest of him was only happy for this affection; besides, it was kinda nice being carried like this, he felt pretty tall up here.
When they entered the living room, he smiled warmly at his mom, then waited patiently after he was set down for Lucina. His dad took the baby and gently handed her to him, guiding him on how to hold her. He did so with great attention and care, making sure to cradle her comfortably and lovably, then settled down a little when he felt he was doing just right. It actually hadn't been the first time he held her, but it certainly was the first time he was able to do so at ease and with a genuine smile.* Hi Lucina! Er, I'm sorry I didn't play with you a lot before, but... I will now! *Her eyes had been fixated upon him ever since she was given to him; she had been lively while on her mother's knee, but had gone still when he took her. Suddenly he felt nervous, as though she somehow knew of his earlier misgivings and was unsure of him; she was Force sensitive, so that wouldn't have surprised him, as most Force-sensitive infants were still able to subconsciously use the Force in some ways. But as he held her, spoke to her, opened his heart to her, she finally beamed and squirmed happily, gurgling out an almost-laugh. These acts caused Jake to sit up a little higher and excitedly, beaming in response.* She laughed! ... almost! *He settled down into the seat again, cradling her close, before he finally planted a kiss on her forehead then nuzzled her.* I love you, baby sister. *Yes, he was sure things would be quite alright, after all.*

*Today, Morgan and Michelle were alone at home for once. Well, sort of; her father was home, but he was asleep in his bedroom, having also put baby Lucina down for a nap. Morgan had to count her blessings, grateful that the sounds of a crying baby in the middle night didn't carry through the quarters and into her and Jake's room. Kind of impressive; the baby could be loud sometimes. And Morgan adored her baby sister, but she was sure glad she wasn't a victim of her nighttime needs.
Morgan herself was lounging on the couch, laying on her back, legs propped up on the armrest. Lokay the tailring was curled up on her belly, napping himself, while she lay sprawled out on the couch. Michelle was sitting on the other end of the couch, looking at something on her datapad. This reminded Morgan of earlier days, when she and Michelle were much younger, both her father's students, and spent many moments together. The family was certainly larger now, and that was a good thing, but Morgan enjoyed this nostalgic moment.
There was one may to make it better, she knew, and that was to break the silence. She tilted her head back and looked up at her aunt curiously.* Whatcha readin', Michelle? *It may have just been a lesson, but she had seemed so engrossed by it. Maybe it was a story? Morgan didn't move to get a closer look, not wantin to disturb Lokay, so she waited for her answer.*

*What Michelle was reading on her datapad was indeed a story, but not a story one read for entertainment or enjoyment. This story wasn't fiction, and it was in her opinion one of the saddest stories she knew of. It was a bit of history on a certain Jamie Daniels, a boy who'd once been apprenticed by her own brother, and had his life taken by a Sith who thankfully no longer lived. He hadn't really been with Aerandir for a year before his life had been taken...
Michelle sighed, just as she heard Morgan's voice ask her what she was reading. Michelle looked down at her niece, managing to smile at her. She couldn't recall the last time the two of them were alone together like this, when once upon a time they often were. This would be nice, she supposed, to hang out and talk like old times, or it would have been had it not been for the story she was reading, and one other factor... She looked down into her lap sadly as she replied.* Just reading about Jamie again. *She was silent for a moment, then looked up, staring at the wall; she might as well tell Morgan the other significant piece of information.* ... today's his birthday. He... would've been seventeen. *It struck her odd just how old he would've been had he still been alive, almost adult, maybe even a Knight; when he died, he had been younger than Morgan's age. Her brother never talked about Jamie much, but she knew it had affected him deeply, and he might have given anything to have saved his life. However, he wasn't one to dwell on the past much, accepted that things occurred for a reason, and was always focused upon the present. It was an admirable quality, to be sure, but Jamie's death was something that drove Michelle, spurred her in her training; she strove to be the best she could because she didn't want to end up unprepared like Jamie. Wanted to spare her brother from the pain of losing another Padawan...*

*Morgan noticed the sigh as she asked her question, then frowned, tilting her head to the side a little. Michelle had smiled when she looked at Morgan, but now she was looking into her lap with a melancholy expression before answering. She was reading about Jamie? Why? Morgan gently lifted Lokay up off of her chest and sat up, placing a pillow down for him to lay on. He looked up in surprise when he was lifted and awoken, blinked as he watched his owner, scoot over beside her aunt, then merely curled up again; it didn't really matter where he napped.
Morgan looked at the datapad, but it was just text. She skimmed through it, frowning, then looked away; she didn't want to be reminded of how Jamie's life had been so cruelly taken before his time. Two year ago, when the Earth Empire was destroyed... she'd avenged him. Had destroyed the Zabrak who'd taken his life, had done it the same way he'd taken Jamie's: With a stab through the heart. She'd dealt justice... but it did nothing to ease her sorrow for Jamie's loss, even though she never knew him, and had only miraculously met him in Harmony moments before she'd returned to administer fate.
Wait, it was his birthday today? Morgan looked around for the chrono, taking note of the date. No one had ever really talked about his birthday, but she made special care to remember the date. And he would have been seventeen years old had he lived?! But his spirit... he'd appeared only eight years old.
Tears dripped into her lap, but she wiped them quickly, trying to change the subject. She looked at Michelle sadly.* Did you know Jamie?

*The news that today was Jamie's birthday, as well as that he would have been seventeen, seemed to hit Morgan hard enough to draw tears. She wiped them and refused to cry anymore it seemed, but Michelle couldn't resist putting an arm around her regardless for comfort. Then she asked Michelle if she had known Jamie. Michelle hesitated, biting her lip, then sighed again.* I did... but I can't really remember him. I was only three when he died... Michael tells me he liked me and played with me, and I would play with him too, but I can't remember any of it. He said that after he died, he didn't tell me, but I would wonder where he was and get sad when he wasn't around. *Michelle's own eyes grew moist, so she blinked rapidly to clear them.* He didn't tell me what really happened until a couple years later. But instead of getting sad, I pushed myself more in my training. I guess I didn't remember him too well then, but I didn't want to die like he did, so I made sure I paid attention in every class, to everything Michael said, and practiced hard to be the best I could. *Michelle suddenly felt very saddened that she couldn't remember Jamie. He had lived with her and her brother for the boy's entire short time in training, and had just vanished, and Michelle couldn't remember anything from that time. Very vague memories, blurry images, but nothing more. And yet Morgan, who'd only heard of him before, had seemed to grow the most attached to him. Michelle couldn't forget that moment in Belkadan's Academy, when Morgan had projected Jamie's image over herself and taken his life, nor her story later that she had met him in the Netherworld somehow.
While Michelle liked to pride herself on her own talents, there were things Morgan could just do that Michelle would have given much to experience just once. The ability to visit the dearly departed in the Netherworld was one of those things.*

*Morgan frowned as Michelle revealed that, while she had known Jamie, she couldn't remember any of it, being only three when he had been killed. She only knew stories her brother had told her, and that they had enjoyed each other's company. She hadn't been told about his death until a little while later, and that was what had driven Michelle to excel in her training. That... made sense. Sure, Michelle could have possessed a lot of natural talent, but willpower was also strong, and Michelle's willpower was apparently a key factor in why she was such an excellent student.
But now Morgan almost felt a little guilty; she had had that lovely moment with Jamie in Harmony, had spoken with him, and he had seemed quite happy. Meanwhile, it had been years since anyone who had known him had seen him or been able to speak to him, and Michelle could hardly remember him at all. However, it wasn't like Morgan had chosen to make that visit, and still she was unsure how it had triggered. And who knew what kind of contact Jamie had in that world; if anything, her visit to him was probably a very good thing for him.
A visit... Now Morgan had an idea. She looked at the time; it was still early in the day, she could make it where she intended to go. She grinned, looking up at Michelle excitedly.* You have any classes today, or anywhere you gotta be for a while?

*Michelle seemed surprised at Morgan's sudden change of expression; where she had just been somber, she was now excited, like she had just made some kind of plan. And now she was asking if she had any sort of plans today. Unsure what the girl had in mind, Michelle frowned and shook her head.* No, why?

*No plans? Perfect! Morgan giggled and hopped off the couch, grabbing Morgan's hand and started to pull her toward the door.* It's a surprise! Come on! *She then paused, looking down at herself. Right, she was in her usual lounge attire... or lack thereof. She giggled and let go of Michelle's hand.* Whoops! One sec! *Morgan disappeared into her room, quickly locating her Felucian dress and pulling it on, then returned to the living room to grab Michelle's hand and tug at it once more.* Okay, now we go! *She then attempted to lead Michelle out of their quarters and towards the jungle. Lokay, not one to be left behind, had awoken at all the bustle, and, seeing as her owner was getting ready to leave the quarters, stood up, stretched out his legs and wings, and glided over toward her, perching on her shoulder before she could leave.*

*Michelle was very surprised at Morgan's sudden enthusiasm, and her declaration that she had some sort of "surprise" as she tugged at her hand. Michelle put her datapad down, deciding to go along with it, but when she realized they were heading for the door, Michelle shook her head and tried to pull her back due to a certain detail.* Morgie wait, you're— *Oh, Morgan had caught that herself, and had gone to rectify that situation. Michelle managed a giggle before Morgan returned in her Felucian garb and took Michelle's hand again. Allowing herself to be led, Michelle finally smiled again, deciding to enjoy their time together instead of feeling down.* Oh alright, let's go see what this surprise is. *"Just like old times indeed," she supposed.*

*Bix arrived at the base dormitories, his datapad out, both to let Aerandir know of their new destination, and also to secure a guest room for the Cerean. Once they reached the designated room, Bix gave him the code for the room, as well as instructions on how to reset the code should the Knight feel the need to. The room itself would be well-furnished, with ample living space and a well-stocked refresher; aware of Knight Darkwater's appreciation of the world's beauty, he'd made sure the room had a window with a jungle view as well. Once Bix was certain the Cerean had everything he needed, he waited outside in the hallway for Aerandir's approach and for Knight Darkwater to be ready to meet with him...*

They entered the Dormitories area and BIx gave Raimundo a security code for his new room, as well as giving him instructs on how to reset to code should the need arise. The Cerean vocalized his thanks before shutting the door behind him as he entered his room.*
*The room was fairly basic in decoration style, but well-furnished. Raimundo was thankful for the hospitality of the Felucian Conclave and smiled as he noticed he had a beautiful view of the gorgeous landscape and scenery of the planet. It was a small gesture, but the Cerean Knight took it to heart.*
*He stripped down as he walked into the small bathroom. Stepping in the refresher, he felt the hot steam and the jets of water hit his bare, muscled back. He sighed as his body relaxed and he began to clean himself, his hands running through the little patch of hair on the top of his cone shaped head.

About a half an hour passed by as the Cerean cleaned up. He emerged from the refresher in a cloud of steam as he dried himself off with a smooth blue towel. He rubbed his fist against the mirror, wiping away the fog. He ran a thick brush through his brown hair, letting it run down the back of his head. He hung the towel on a rack and went back to the main room where approached the dresser. He took out a clean jedi tunic which miraculously was the correct size. He tightened his brown belt and clipped on his twin lightsabers, one to each hip respectively. He sat at the foot of the bed and slipped his feet into his brown leather boots, tying the strings tight.*
*He looked out the window and observed the view. Thousands of trees expanded as far as the eye could see. Every now and then he saw movement of wildlife as birds flew through the air and animals walked between the trees. Rai was enchanted by the planet's beauty. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he knew he had found home.*
*He walked back into the bathroom, the steam all but dissipated and brushed his teeth with a clean toothbrush in a small holder on the sink counter. Rinsing his mouth out with water, Raimundo turned to head back to the hallway where Bix was waiting.*
*The door swished open to reveal the clean Jedi Knight. Spotting Bix, Raimundo bowed at the waist, greeting him once more. Standing straight, he offered Bix to take the lead.
"After you, Friend."

*But on the contrary, the base was not so large that Aerandir needed more than half an hour to find them. In fact, he'd appeared in the corridor where Bix stood only a short couple minutes after Knight Darkwater had gone inside the room, so the two friends had spent that near-half-hour conversing with each other.*
"Cerean, you said?" *Aerandir asked Bix, both of them leaning their backs against the wall, arms folded across their chests.
Bix nodded.* "Yep."
"How old?"
*Bix spread his hands and shrugged, folding them again as he answered,* "Heck if I know, I've never been good at telling the age of other species. He said he'd been a part of the Order for sixteen years and is a Knight so... Possibly in his twenties? Late? Somewhere in there." *Aerandir nodded his head, looking slightly amused, though the man himself had to admit he wasn't the best at determining ages of most other species by sight himself. When he didn't speak, Bix asked,* "What you been up to?"
*Aerandir shrugged his shoulders.* "Had a brief meeting in the chambers, then ran into Michelle and Shells in the halls. They'd happened upon a girl named Raine, who'd just been brought here and was looking for training."
*At this news, Bix tilted his head back and lightly knocked it against the wall behind him, eyes rolling.* "Aw, Force, I hope Shells didn't leave a bad impression..."
*Aerandir chuckled at Bix's expected reaction to the news his sister had been involved with a newcomer.* "She probably did, but Raine seemed fine. Eager to train honestly. So I took her to meet Tom."
"That must've been good," *Bix said with amusement, removing his head from the wall.
Aerandir smiled and nodded.* "Of course. He seemed impressed by her desire to learn, so he took her to the training areas immediately. The girls and I parted ways at the balcony and now I'm here."
*Bix nodded.* "She'll be in good hands then."
"It's Tom. That goes without saying."
*After an agreement, they continued other idle conversation to pass the time, mostly about the conversations Bix had with the Cerean so far. When said Cerean finally did reappear from the quarters, spotted Bix, and asked him to lead the way, Bix raised an eyebrow. Leaning forward, Aerandir peered past Bix with an amused grin.* "No need for that, I'm already here." *He pushed himself off of the wall and turned to face the Cerean, giving him a bow.* "I'm Aerandir Calmcacil, please just call me Aerandir, since I'm sure this jerk," *he indicated Bix with his thumb,* "referred to me as 'Master Calmcacil.' None of that, please."
*Bix, with an amused smirk, also removed himself from the wall.* "Fine, I'll go fire myself," *he joked, clearly much more at ease and less formal in the presence of his friend.*

And out of the blue, Aerandir was right there. Had Raimundo overlooked him? Wow... Maybe the Cerean needed to get his eyes checked. Surely he wasn't getting THAT old, he was only thirty two!
"Oh! Silly me!" Raimundo chuckled, rubbing at his eyes jokingly. Maybe the hot shower had steamed up his eyes a little bit more than he thought. "My name is Raimundo Darkwater, Jedi Knight of the Corellian Academy." He bowed, "It is an honor to meet you, Master Calmcacil, er," His eyes flicked from Bix back to Aerandir. "I mean Aerandir."
The Knight noticed the relaxed nature between the two men in front of him. It was clear they had been friends for a long time. "I came to Felucia to continue my studies as a Jedi and to get a different perspective from new peers and mentors. My master on Corellia was Mike Frantz, who adopted me when I was an orphaned teenager. Throughout the years, the only thing I really learned from him was... well, his passion for the drink." Raimundo winked and chuckled. He hadn't seen Mike in some time, nor had he heard from him. Every now and then, the Cerean wondered what he was up to. Probably passed out in a corner somewhere with the magic flask that never seemed to be empty.

*Aerandir smiled as the Cerean seemed to realize his small mistake, then returned the bow, stopping to raise an eyebrow jokingly when he referred to him as "Master Calmcacil" before correcting himself. He chuckled, then listened as he explained his visit: As a means to further his studies and learn from other perspectives. Aerandir nodded at the noble goal, then grinned at the mention of Mike Frantz. Ah, it had been some time...*
"I know Master Frantz," *he began, the use of "Master" perhaps odd given Aerandir's own disdain for the term in regards to himself.* "Good man, good Jedi, better friend, though it's been some time since we'd crossed paths. Kicked my behind in a practice duel once." *That had been enjoyable. Aerandir had admittedly opened with a big mistake but decided to salvage it for the sake of a practice duel. Morgan, however, had thought he was in real danger at one point and had intervened... Bless her heart. That had been quite some time ago...
Putting away the reminiscing, Aerandir asked,* "Forgot to ask Bix, but what are your specialties?"

Raimundo's mind briefly reminisced back to his own duels against his master. Mike was a very gifted swordsman, and was far more talented than the Cerean could ever hope to be.*
*He refocused as Aerandir asked about his specialties. Which was a good question, one that the Jedi Knight hadn't really been asked before. He took a moment to collect his thoughts before he asked the Jedi Master that stood before him. "My specialities. An excellent question. I'd have to say I'm most comfortable and knowledgable at using the Force to provide stabilization, revivals, physical healing of minor cuts, tears, and breaks. If things get serious, I know I have the ability to diagnose the problem and find a proper treatment, but as any doctor would agree, I believe I would require assistance. As you are well aware, prolonged reliance and use of the Force can leave me drained and fatigued. To help counter that, I'm always looking for ways that make my work more efficient to myself, yet more successful for my patients."

*Aerandir nodded here and there, satisfied by the response given. It was reasonable and in some small way impressive, especially that he knew his own limits and sought to improve his own shortcomings.* "Well, fortunately, we have no one at the moment we could test your skills on, but your responses are sound. If you'd like, I could lead you to the medical facilities, help you become more acquainted with them?"

That sounds great. It's best for me to get to know my way around this place that way I'm not wandering around aimlessly should something unfortunately arise." The Cerean turned to Bix and gave him a low courteous bow. "Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. I assume you have other duties to attend to, but if not I'd love for you to tag along as well."
