The third and most heavily damaged Hammerhead Corvette completed docking procedures just as Jez and Lucian entered the main hanger bay. Lucian surveyed the bay taking note of the crew somewhat huddled around the old transport ship and smirked. The look of amusement passed for barely a moment before Jez realized it and scoffed muttering under her breath...
"What a piece of junk"
Lucian shook his head in a disapproving fashion raising his hand to point to the Hull of the Corellian cargo hauler.
"See that hull, after the shields go down that thing could take at least 5 passes before being forced from the sky. and if they had an even half competent gunner in the group those cannons could do some serious damage. The Corellian's know their craft well."
In the course of the short interchange the landing ramp of the third craft had been lowered and the Captain had already descended to join the pair inspecting the YX-1980. He passed a few words to the pair gesturing to the ship behind him and then moved off to find the head mechanic. Lucian had his own mission to investigate and Jez of course would hardly be convinced to leave his side. He spied the Arkanian earlier noticing the entrance of the third Hammerhead and gestured to Jez to follow him as he approached the small group pausing for a moment before addressing the Arkanian who had turned his back to the group.
"Quite the ship you've got here... Are you the Captain?"

*And then she started examining the ship up close, asking what problems it was giving her. Something seemed almost unnatural about this, but Niam couldn't place it. He unfolded his arms and reached up with his free hand to adjust his blinders carefully, but his sight betrayed no secrets. He hummed thoughtfully to himself before deciding he'd test her, see if she was truly knowledgeable.*
"More like what problems hasn't it had?" *Koda grumbled.
Niam frowned.* "Yes, well, partially accurate. Of most importance is making sure the hyperdrive and engines are back in shape." *He nearly began to explain but paused, a small smirk coming to his lips.* "What would you suggest?"
*The answer would have to wait, for a pair of crewmembers from the Hammerheads had approached, commenting on the ship and asking if he was the captain. The young Arkanian opened his mouth to respond—*
"We never agreed to that!" *Koda protested.
Niam shut his mouth and frowned at the Devaronian boy, then faced the pair again.* "Technically speaking, I'm not its captain, no, but I am its pilot. Niam Althacorr, at your service."

Lucian smiled charmingly at the Arkanian, and smirked at the younger boy at his protest but nodded at both when the one named Niam had given his service, a comment he might have held back if he had truly known the one before him. Lucian however dismissed this as a nicety that mainstream sentients exchanged with one another that his clone batch had been trained in but never truly understood in practice - seemed much like a lie to him. Regardless he nodded and had the good sense to speak before Jez did.
Lucian... this is my clone twin Jez, we Captain Maugrim and Requiem the two Vettes you saw landing on the exterior pads.
Lucian looked up at the YX once again studying the hull with eyes that seemed to peer through the metal into the inner workings beyond. Jez rolled her eyes but remained silent save for the occasional tapping of her boot against the hanger bay floor - and yet when her counterpart spoke again she seemed at least attentive.
"Having a problem with the hyperdrive? Class 2... yes? have you considered modifying the horizontal boosters - Trinium perhaps? The stability of the metal allows for a more stable transfer of energy - less taxing on the hyperdrive."

"Hmm.."
Unlike the original designs for the Life Emulator MCUs, which, as a security measure, were deliberately constructed without wireless capabilities, 02's current housing was fully able to access the HoloNet remotely. In the time it took for either one of them to blink, she had run a quick search on the YX-1980 to familiarize herself with the workings of the craft.
While her mind formulated and tested a slew of possibilities, two more beings had walked up to the party. Her face was scrunched up in a thinking expression -- another subroutine's process for her -- as she left the landing strut to return to where she had been before.
"Trinium's great. Might actually help with the engines too if you use it correctly. I used to.. hm."
The thinking expression quickly gave way to a frown..
I used to use it on the Mantis.
She blinked a few times, then her lips abruptly turned upward into a smile.
"Good idea, Lucian!"

*Niam studied the two captains, peering back at the ships they had come in on, attempting to mentally trace which of the two captains came from which ship. He had a decent idea, confident in which ship was which, then refocused his attention on Lucian, who seemed quite knowledgeable of the YX-1980 model, even correctly guessing its hyperdrive rating; not too surprising. His suggestion of metal, however, made Niam's brows knit.*
"Trinium?" *he repeated, then waited for Lana to speak. She trailed off, something Niam definitely picked up on; his brows knit further as he recognized that she was hiding on something. His eyes lingered on her a moment before answering Lucian,* "I wasn't aware trinium was in such widespread usage as a hyperdrive component; I was under the impression it was more of a weapons systems material." *He looked at Lana again, contemplating whether or not to invade her privacy, then asked,* "What's your experience?"
"You haven't introduced me, ya know," *the Devaronian grumbled.
Niam only spared him a brief look.* "Are you not capable of that yourself?"
*Koda scowled and folded his arms, then puffed out his chest.* "Fine! I'm Koda!"
"Very good." *Niam looked at Lana again.* "Well?"

Her smile lessened slightly, almost imperceptibly, before she replied. It didn't take an AI to tell that there was no use dodging the question on this one, so she didn't even try.
"I used to use it on my ship."
The previous smile-lessening reversed itself as she continued.
"And yeah, it's primarily used for weapons systems. You just have to think a bit outside the box to make it work for this."

"You're not wrong, he's crazy..."
Jez had barely pulled her eyes from Lucian to reply, and her tone did nothing to further explain her perspective, instead she brushed her shoulders and then looked down at the boy who was currently puffing his chest out either in protest at Niam's avoiding him, or as a method of looking important - Regardless the 'vette captain brushed her blond bangs free of her eyes and winked in the boys direction before giving him a soft smile. Before Jez could say anything further Lucian was already carrying himself away at explaining himself with his typical fashion.
"Of course its used in weapons system Jez, its probably the most stable elemental compound in the Galaxy... and stronger than durasteel if refined correctly. We used it on our Tactical fighters back in the days of the Chaos War. When you put hyperdrives on such small ships you need components that are designed to hold up... the Aurek's arnt as strong as the X-wings and such you see... being of an older, almost archaic design. The Boosters are the main part of the hyperdrive that controls the transfer of energy... adding the Trinium makes them able to handle the load on the smaller ships, makes no sense why it wouldn't work for the larger ones as well."
There was passion in the clone's eyes as he explained himself, something that he had clearly given much thought to despite being created simply to pilot and command. He could never explain why when it was put to him but something in him pushed his mind towards mechanics and engineering. The truth that was kept from them was that Gadriel had requested several of the batch to be much different from the others - the twin pairs - and it was these seven pairs of clones that had been responsible for much of the 'free thought' that now was spreading through what remained of the fallen Jedi's clone army.
Lucian's eyes passed from Niam to the other that had addressed him and something struck him as odd about the being, he turned his head back to Jez, who was winking at the young boy and his eyes flickered between her and the younger female, a sort of communication passing between them that was clear but also non verbal, a subtle inclination that somehow the two clones were linked to one another and it was only a moment before Jez turned her dull but attentive gaze upon the one called Lana - she said nothing simply watched as Lucian spoke again.
"Gotta be careful with the engines... the heat and the constant stress could warp or reforge the compound. antimatter and hyperdrive radiation is one thing, but the sublights on this thing... hmm it would take some doing... you're right, but it might work."

*Niam's eyebrows flickered upward at Lana's response, completely intrigued by the notion of her having owned a ship. No longer, he guessed. Perhaps she was just a crewmember... Though Niam himself as well as the rest of the crew were proof that even children could come into possession of a ship, rare as it was.
But she and Lucian both seemed to have faith in the mineral, while also admitting it was an unorthodox method; "crazy," as Jez put it. Lucian even had some history behind trinium's usage in his own ships, which prompted Niam to pull up more information on the material. Indeed, there seemed to be a reference to using trinium in such a way... but strangely, it seemed to be little more than a footnote.*
"Even so," *the Arkanian boy replied somewhat skeptically but also curiously, looking up from the datapad,* "I'm a little short on trinium at the moment, and even if the base has any, I doubt they'd lend it out to a bunch of kids."
"Bunch of kids with a solid track record," *Koda scoffed.*
"Right." *Niam's agreement seemed to surprise Koda, but the Arkanian ignored him and addressed Lucian,* "Not that I doubt you, considering your track record."

Lucian raised an eyebrow at the small group assembled before him, though his attentions remain largely on the one called Niam. He was clearly more intelligent than the norm of his age, but being a clone he had little understanding of the 'natural progression' of age. His clone batch had been rushed by the Grand Jedi Order and their training on Kamino was cut short, having been completed in actual combat under Gadriel - but his batch or what remained of it, could not be much older than 15 years if that. Lucian chuckles at the mention of his 'track record' and he shot a look to Jez before replying.
"I am a soldier, I follow orders and so I have the privilege of owing my so called track record to my superiors. Speaking of such, what do you know of the Command structure of the Garrison here. Who commands?"
While Lucian inquired as to leadership Jez took a step away to answer a call on her comlink, raising a hand beneath her blonde hair to cup her ear to deaden the sounds of the surrounding hanger bay. Repair crews were already beginning to trickle in to work on the newcome damaged vette, and by the time Jez returned to Lucians side a Kappa-Class transport shuttle could already be seen in the sky above desending upon the Hanger.
"The Troopers are here, and as you requested they brought a squad of those V-wing airspeeders, we'll be able to begin scouting the terrian soon."
"Good, go see to them will you. And get a team together we need to retrieve the Hat before Altair gets back."
Lucian turned back to Niam and the group as Jez nodded and waved farewell to the group and winked again at Koda. The transport had landed and 50 Clone Troopers outfitted in Phase-2 Forest Combat gear began to disembark, unloading several dozen crates of supplies, munitions and weapons. Further back in the Shuttle the V-wings Jez had spoken of were waiting to be unloaded, draped with dust covered tarps speaking loads to the last time they had been used.
"When I get my men situated I may have a mission for your team, if you were interested. I could offer a payment in Trinium of course, if it is true the Base supplies are as hard pressed as you say, another thing I must look into. There is a War going on out there, and I find Felucia I'll equipped for it."

*Lucian at least seemed to be the modest sort, though Niam had been unable to answer his initial question at first, as apparently Jez reported on some more inbound ships that she needed to inspect. The wink from her to Koda had not gone unnoticed by the Devaronian, nor had the first, but he wasn't sure the first time he saw it if it were real. The second time confirmed its existence, and he wasn't sure how to feel... other than smug that he got some sort of recognition Niam had not—especially from the feminine kind—and he smirked.
The notion of a mission intrigued Niam, though the comment about the Base being "ill-equipped" didn't quite rub him the right way either, based on his own knowledge. That, and there seemed to be less room for Lana to be involved in the current conversation, despite Niam still being interested in her history. He looked at her for a moment, then focused again on Lucian, choosing to answer his first question.* "Strictly speaking, Master Aerandir Calmcacil is the Headmaster of the Base, but the majority of the Order's High Council is situated here. Many Jedi come and go, lending their aid in the galaxy. I don't know if Master Calmcacil's currently busy." *He contemplated adding that one of said Master's daughters was also part of this crew, but instead saved it.*
"Yeah, and his daughter Morgan's on our team!"
*... because Koda gave it away regardless. Niam sighed and nodded, then asked,* "What kind of mission?" *He glanced at Lana again. Perhaps she could come along for it... and prove that her supposed skills weren't unfounded.*

"She is? Cool!"
The comment about Morgan being on their team was the part that she chose to respond to. She and the young organic had been friends for a while now, although Lana had recently found herself lacking in what she deemed a sufficient amount of time spent with others. Perhaps if she tagged along, she would be able to make friends with this crew as well!
"I'm sure I can help on the mission!"
The mission details hadn't even been listed yet, and she was already volunteering her help. Granted, she was well-equipped for a variety of situations, so coming along would have made sense regardless, but her lack of caution could be explained as an expression of optimism over preservation..
..and an excuse not to spend more time alone.

Lucian glanced over his shoulder at the clone troopers that were currently assembling in the hanger awaiting orders. If he remembered correctly there was a Cloning facility here on the planet that could suit their needs nicely but before he could call out to Jez for orders Niam had replied and Lana, asking about the mission he had in mind. He smirked slightly looking back at the young group - he hesitated only slightly looking them over wondering if they were up for it.
"Hmm about this Mission... what have you and your team heard of the Vanishing Place?"
The Vanishing Place was the key fortress of the Dark being Ramius who had waged war on what he claimed was the 'army of light' on Felucia. Macros the Black arrived on the planet in time to prepare the Jedi here to fight against them, and several of those he trained breached the Vanishing Place to rescue Raven Alora and Paradigm who had fallen under the sway of the dark one. The Vanishing Place in that time was a deathtrap, it was rigged up and down with traps and defenders who were as strong in the darkside of the force as Raven and her team had been in the light. He had hoped that since then the place had calmed down, but still... he would have liked to speak to this Master Calmcical about sending the group in, he didn't want to be the one responsible for getting the Masters own daughter killed in such a place.
"There was one that fought for the Dark One Ramius... Madigan Spade was his name, but more importantly he wore a dark green tophat. Your mission would be infiltrating the Vanishing Place, locating it... and bringing it back to me."
"Luc... The men are ready and im sending them to set up in that old Cloning Facility that the Conclave made their first run here, Im going with them, did I here you were sending these kids after the Hat? You're kidding me right, if the Vanishing Place doesn't kill them the Hat will take one of them..."
Lucian had half raised his hand to stop her from talking but she had went ahead and spoke her mind as she always had. He turned back to Niam shaking his head slightly as Jez shook her head at the group and left them wondering at her words, but Lucian turned towards Lana and then Niam and lowered his voice slightly, as his words and Jez' outbreak had already begun to draw looks from the mechanics that were huddling around the damaged Hammerhead.
"There is danger to the mission, Felucia is not a walk in the park as they say... and the Vanishing Place used to be the most Dangerous place on the planet, and it probably still is."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that," *Niam replied, raising his datapad and making a few gestures with his finger. It took only a moment to locate the story he was looking for and to quickly scan it before lowering it.* "There's been some sort of expedition on the Vanishing Place, a cleansing attempt that, far as I can tell, is ongoing. And seemingly haphazard, judging by the scorched terrain... Morgan and Sylvie both were far from pleased by that.
"Point being, should we accept this mission, we may have to make arrangements with whatever team's already at the site. Considering the incinerary weaponry coupled with explosives reported in use, we'd also need proper protective gear, at the least being breathing equipment."
*The Devaronian's red hue seemed to have paled a bit at this influx of information.* "You mean this place could kill us and we have to carry around protective gear?"
*Niam peered at him from behind his goggles, admittedly somewhat surprised at Koda's hesitance. He was usually the one who wanted to charge into things.* "Without said gear, this place would kill us. And don't forget, Morgan's particular set of skills would prove useful to us." *He then looked upon Lana, who seemed to have recognized Morgan and had volunteered to join up after all. He appraised her for a brief moment before asking,* "Are you sure you're up for something like this? I'm not even certain you're a Jedi." *If she was, he would have recognized her, though she could have also been a visiting student...*

Lucian nodded slightly looking back and forth between the pair. A cleansing of the Vanishing Place was an interesting bit of news, perhaps it would make the mission less dangerous for the group. Still, it would be doubtful that they would have gone as deep as the lower dungeons where Ramius had made his fortress, the last raid had left the only known entrance blocked, though Madigan had shown the Jedi ways in and out before before the war ended. While they grouped he pulled out his own datapad and synced it to the device Niam had in his hands, and before speaking transfered a file to the device.
"I've transferred my files on the Vanishing Place to your Datapad. The last known location of the Hat is indicated on the Map of the lower prison catacombs, there were a series of secret passages that you'll have to take, that is... if you agree to take the mission. Overlook the files and speak to your supervisors if need be and get back to me when you've made up your mind. I'll probably be in the cloning Facilities setting up shop and seeing to my men."
Slipping his datapad back into his the pouch on his belt he looked back up at the group before he turned to leave.
"This Master Calmcacil... Do you think you could get a message to him for me?"

*The large gunship Gladiator roared across Felucia so terrain as it approached the temple. Once a short distance off, Ellie drastically reduced speed and brought the ship in at a slow crawl. She could feel the old ship shudder from the sudden change of pace, and could swear she almost heard it growl in protest. The Gladiator settled down on its landing struts and wind down to a stop, the only remaining sounds were the electronics and other landing systems shutting down. Letting out a slow breath, she turned to her twin.* "Ready? Good. Cause I'm starting to get nervous."
*Without waiting for a real replay, she stood up and made her way to the loading ramp. The ramp let out a clank than a groan as it lowered. Almost instantly the humidity wafted into the ship, suddenly making Ellie wish they were back on Endor with its cooler climate. She descended the ramp into the hangar itself. All around her were signs of a bustling Jedi academy. Her twin was right, the base on this planet was growing. Now, to find this Master Calmacil. She glanced around till she spotted a man taking to two younglings. 'Perhaps he's a knight or something.' Ellie thought. Letting out another deep breath, she walked over to the trio.* "Excuse me. Would you happen to know where Master Calmacil is at? My sister and I are in need of his help, if he's available that is."

Lucian half turned towards the one speaking, looking about for a moment to see if she was truly addressing him, but hesitated a moment upon seeing her. He had of course heard the roar of engines approaching, from the sound of the resonance an old and very temperamental transport ship. ~oh Jez isn't going to like this~ was the only thought that went through his head before he looked her up and down and half bowed in reply.
"Greetings miss... With hope, these enterprising young lads were about to carry a message to the Master of this Academy, apparently he is a very busy man. Felucia, over night it seems, has become the Capital Planet of the entire Jedi Order."
He looked over her shoulder towards the other and nodded slightly before glancing back at Niam for any sort of conformation he would do so, but his eyes returned to the one that had addressed him shortly.
"You're more than welcome to search for him i suppose, or you could come with me and await his response to my own inquiry."

Lowering the hooded scarf she wears in lieu of the more traditional Jedi robes, Kaiya follows her twin towards the boarding ramp, trying to sound reassuring as she points out, "No need to be nervous vod. Anxiety, especially foundationless anxiety, she goes on in an intentionally professorial tone that sounds very much like that of her Master, will not serve you well in any endeavor. Raising an index finger as they walk down the boarding ramp, Kaiya goes on, Confidence, self assurance, and trust in the Force, on the other hand, can and often do make all the difference. So, she concludes while tightening the strap of her left forearm guard as she looks around the hangar to try and get her bearings, be confident vod, and trust that the Force has brought us here when we are meant to be here so that we can meet who we are meant to meet in order to proceed along the path we are meant to walk."
Chuckling with a shake of her head, noting that Ellie has already gone off ahead and is speaking with a nearby group, Kaiya chides herself, "Shorter speeches in future Kaiya, brevity is the soul of wit and all that."
Nodding a greeting to the group Ellie is speaking to when she catches up with her twin, Kaiya decides to try the watch and listen thing for at least a little while.

*Ellie was momentarily confused when the man bowed to her. Then it hit her, he wasn't a Jedi. She returned his half bow with her own. Her gaze fell on the two younglings for a moment then back to the man when he called her miss.* "Ordo, Ellie Ordo. This is my twin sister Kaiya. We're from the Jedi temple on Endor." *She almost drew in a sharp breath of air when she gave their last name. Going through the whole questioning process like she did in orbit wasn't something she wanted. Quickly, she diverted the subject.* "This place does seem rather busy. Then again, I've never actually been here so I honestly can't judge the matter. As for Master Calmacil, we can wait. No need getting lost or anything."
*She glanced at her twin. Wishing for backup, but sadly, Ellie was the one with the most information on the subject at hand.*

Lucian nodded slightly at the returned bow and the introduction. His green eyes passed back and forth between the two women. Clearly they were twins, the words accuracy was written across their faces, unlike it was upon his and his own twin. The moments hesitation could have been seen as rude and upon realizing he was blantantly staring at the girl he blinked a few times and stammered a reply.
"Lu...Lucian, Captain Lucian of the Felucian Conclave's Hammerhead Corvette Maugrim."
Lucian's glance moved back to the other sister briefly nodding in greeting as well. He straightened his stance a bit seeming to have forgotten himself for far to long.
"My own twin has moved our squad to the Cloning Building behind the Jedi Base, and that is where I am bound once finished here. But where are my manners, this is Niam, and Lana, and Koda."
He gestured around the group with the introductions starting with the young Arkanian he had been speaking with when the pair had entered and addressed him. The small group had taken his interest nearly as soon as he had landed here himself and he hadn't been able to bring himself to part with the much needed conversation after so many years in Space. Being on land made him antzy after a time, but he missed the people, and the smell of this world, it was so different from the sterile air aboard the vette, here it seemed poison lingered even in the air you inhaled, and if you inhaled in the wrong place that could be true - regardless it brought a thrill to life that he couldn't find anywhere but in the heart of battle.

Arching her right eyebrow in recognition of the name Lucian gives as his own as that of the being that Fleet Commander Riley had provided as a possible avenue of inquiry should Master Calmcacil prove unavailable, Kaiya offers a friendly smile along with the bow of greeting she extends to Niam, Riley, and Koda when they are introduced before returning her attention to Captain Lucian and saying, "It is a pleasure to meet you all. Lifting her hand to gesture towards Lucian, Kaiya adds, We were actually asked to look for you in particular Captain, by Fleet Commander Chatt . . . er, Fleet Commander Riley that is. He mentioned it was possible that you might be able to help us with the matter that brings us here to Felucia, in fact. He did, however, Kaiya adds with a slight frown as she recalls the doubt Commander Riley had expressed as to whether Lucian would know any more than he about the prey she and Ellie hunt, believe the possibility to be a remote one."
Glancing towards Ellie to silently inquire if she thinks it might be worthwhile to pursue the matter further, Kaiya then smiles as she says to Luican and those with him, "But we would not want to delay you all any further than we have already from your business, so perhaps we could discuss ours another time. Canting her head to the side at an inquisitive angle, she asks, Is there anything we might be of assistance with, speaking of the business here you mentioned being in need of finishing?"
