"Fleet Commander Riley? Is that what he really introduced himself as?"
Lucian shook his head, but clearly did a very poor job of hiding his amusement at the news the twins had brought him. Turning slightly to face the Kaiya he muffled a laugh to further embarrass his superior officer ~At least for the time being~ he thought with further amusement, and at last thought to bring understanding to the cause of his amusement.
"Give him a tiny speck of authority and it seems to go right to his head 'fleet' is a bit of an overstatement considering we only have 4 ships at the moment, and 'commander' well... he's been left in charge for the time being, but he's truly little more than a senior bridge officer at best. Nakor left the conn to Altair upon his... death... who in turn left it to him while he is on Mission... so really...
Lucian shook his head waving away the particulars that he doubted they were truly interested in hearing about and got around to the inquiry at hand. He wasn't really expecting this sort of reception upon arriving here, he had expected a handful of Jedi bored out of their minds - or the polar opposite and the planet was on fire with war. But looked to be that this place truly had become the would be "Capital" of the Jedi Order... people were coming here from all over the place.
"I am afraid that my business is a little more drawn out than can be seen to in a single afternoon, These brave crewmen were actually considering helping me retrieve something rather dangerous from the Vanishing Place, a piece of a much larger puzzle it would seem. As for you two lovelies... you wouldn't happen to know where to find the Spear of Kalis... would you?

Nodding to indicate that Fleet Commander was indeed the title given by Riley, Kaiya holds off on asking the reason for the question, Lucian's expression and incredulous tone hinting that an explanation for the question will more likely than not be forthcoming sooner rather than later. Smiling with a chuckle when Lucian's truncated explanation for his amusement upon hearing the title Riley had apparently assigned to himself makes the genesis of Lucian's reaction to hearing said title clear enough, Kaiya listens attentively as he then goes on to briefly explain the nature of the business he and the trio of crewman accompanying him are about to embark upon. Given her belief that the Force leads all to where they are intended to be through subtle means, Kaiya begins to wonder if they have crossed paths with Lucian for some as yet unforeseen reason, and if by helping him she and Ellie might be brought closer to the end of their own quest, but keeps the thought to herself for the moment as, in this instance, she believes Ellie's instincts will prove to be a more reliable guide given her connection to the Sith they have come to hunt. Frowning in thought when asked if she or her twin have any knowledge of the Spear of Kalis Luican and his merry band seek, Kaiya exchanges a glance with Ellie to see if there is any trace of recognition in her eyes before she turns back to Lucian to answer for herself in an apologetic tone, "I am sorry, but I have not even so much as heard of the Spear of Kalis before now. The Vanishing Place, if Kaiya remembers correctly, was a Clone Wars era-ish Imperial prison located on Felucia, suggesting to her given all that Lucian had said that he believes going to the prison will help him find the Spear in some way, and so she asks interestedly, Is the Spear an old Imperial weapon of some kind? Or perhaps, Kaiya adds after it occurs to her that the Empire's ties to Darkside Force users might provide another possibility as to the Spear's origins, a Darkside artifact? Do you seek it to destroy it, Kaiya asks as her often insatiable curiosity gets the better of her for the moment, her lips pursed in thought as she considers the possibilities, or merely to keep it from falli. . . Trailing off with an apologetic smile when she realizes she is launching a rapid-fire flurry of possibly unwelcome questions at Lucian, Kaiya asks, Too many questions, right? Sorry."

*Despite the sudden new arrival, Niam had not remained idle, first accepting the attempted communication from Lucian, then creating a message directly for Master Calmcacil; being friends with his daughter had its perks. He only offered a brief friendly smile of greeting when introduced, otherwise his focus was on the datapad, remaining quiet while the new arrivals spoke, though not missing a single word of the conversation.
Koda, meanwhile, didn't have the Arkanian boy's patience: The Devaronian seemed more than a little discontent that the conversation passed by them quickly, without much of a chance to respond or confirm anything. He glanced over at Bolt still running repairs on the ship's engine; now he knew how the astromech felt.*
"Oh, don't be melodramatic," *Niam piped up after looking up from the datapad and seeing him in this state. Instead of continuing to pursue the subject, he turned instead to Lucian, announcing,* "Master Calmcacil will be on his way." *He then looked upon the two female visitors and offered another quick smile.* "It's a pleasure to meet you both." *Finally, his gaze returned to Lana, his question from earlier having remained unanswered.* "Well?"

*Ellie couldn't help but feel a small grin appear on her face when she heard that Rileys title was self given. The grin quickly turned to a frown when she realized that he might have given them the clearance codes illegally. She decided not to bring the subject up. Instead she turned her attention to the man as he explained why he was here. Like her sister, she had never heard of this spear. The vanishing, however, she had heard of in passing. * "I'm sorry, I've never heard of this spear."
*When her twin began to rant on about possibilities of what the spear could be, is when Ellie stared to drown them out. Her mind began to wander as she took in her surroundings and every being in it. In the end her thoughts landed back on her twin and Lucian. Just in time for her to hear someone great them and inform them about Master Calmacils arrival time. Her focus gazed on the other being for a brief second as she brought herself back up speed.* "What? Oh...thank you. It's a pleasure to meet you as well."

Despite her loud and obnoxious tendencies, it seemed that Lana had managed to keep herself quiet when the newcomers had approached. She did not, however, manage to keep herself from briefly focusing her attention on the one who called herself Ellie. It was her creator's name, after all. And, phonetically, her designation. Still, though, there was more to listen in on than just that.
..and then Niam was looking at her and waiting for an answer.
"Never said I was a Jedi! But don't worry, I'm a lot more durable than I look! Mom knew what she was doing."
She grinned widely at that, proud of and grateful for everything Eliel had done for her..

*The phrasing was odd, and it only reinforced the odd feelings Niam had about her originally. The Arkanian boy's hand lifted to his blinders and again he adjusted them, attempting to divine some new information. Still, it betrayed no secrets. However... now that he thought about it, Lana's heat signatures were a little too consistent compared to the average sentient's, which often fluctuated constantly.*
"She did?" *Koda asked, brows knit in confusion.* "There's a way to make babies turn out more durable?"
*Niam wanted to berate the Devaronian but kept it to himself; as incredibly-blatant a statement that had seemed, he didn't wish to be the one who outed her. However...* "If that's the case, what skills can you lend?"

A short laugh escaped her at Koda's inquiry.
"Of course!"
She wasn't lying, though none of the genetic modifications that were available to "make babies more durable" would have had any effect on her. At this point, she was just having fun.. But then Niam asked for her skillset, and the grin dropped away as she focused on him again.
"Strategic analysis, repairs, hacking if it's needed.."
She shrugged then offered a small smile.
"All the standard stuff..!"

Lucian fell into a brooding silence for a few moments as the conversation carried. His eyes remained upon the newly arrived pair and he seemed to be considering the myriad of questions put to him by one of the twins, Kaiya. He was hesitant to explain everything here in the open, and even he hadn't been given all the answers, just a laundry list of items to attain while on the planet while Altair himself went after the complicated one - the Journal of Macros the Black. He chuckled at the mention of the Spear being an imperial weapon or dark artifact and shook his head slightly whispering so not to interrupt the planning of the team.
"No no, the Spear is quite literally a spear, used in battle against a Dark Being that once held sway over this world. The one who used it was in league with a race of powerful beings, might have been one himself - the records on this matter are unclear, and this one I never met personally, only saw him in action once near the end of the War. Before he died that is..."
His eyes passed to Lana as the conversation carried on, her replies were odd - and he could tell that Niam was beginning to pick up on them. Clearly the girl was not a normal human child, and he paused for a moment to look at the girl with some degree of concentration before determining to himself that she was not a clone either, one clone usually could always notice another - but something about her was different. Hell, everything about this place was 'different' these days. He smirked at Lana's reply and nodded before finally speaking up to the group.
"I agree I think she'll be of use, but of course your team leader should make the choice and not me."
His eyes passed from Koda to Niam then back again before chuckling softly to himself. He had intended on requesting a meeting with the Master, but if he was to be coming here then he supposed he might as well hang around until he appeared. His eyes finally passed back to Ellie, hoping the question that followed would not seem overly forward or intrusive.
"You mentioned you were from Endor? What brings you all the way out here... are you on a hunt?"

Kaiya nods and, following Lucian's example and doing what she can to avoid interrupting the other discussions going on among the group that has been assembled by circumstance, mouths the word 'thanks' silently rather than speaking it aloud; while she is sure that there is far more to the story behind the spear and can think of several additional questions she could fire off in an effort to get a better understanding of the spear and possibly even why Lucias is after it now, Kaiya decides to hold her tongue for the time being.
From what Niam had said to Lucian, Kaiya understands that Master Calmcacil may be arriving shortly, and so she sticks near her twin and keep quiet as she waits for that arrival to occur.

*Ellie caught the state of the young girl and gave a small friendly smile. Her attention turned back to Lucian as he explained what the spear was, then got lost on the rest of the historical aspect. That sort of stuff was something her sister would better understand, and who she would probably have explain it to her later. When Lucian asked if they were hunters, Ellie had to bite back a bit. She had told Riley that they weren't bounty hunters, but here they were, hunting someone. The fact that they were Mandalorian didn't lower the irony in her mind either.* "We came here looking for information on someone. He might have been a former student, but now he's fallen to the darkside. He seemed to know the lay of the land and also had an extensive knowledge of Jedi philosophy and combat styles. I think he came here because it was familiar. So...yeah...I guess we're hunting in a way."

*Whatever time Aerandir got to spend at home was still often occupied by something else, whether it was his duties as a Jedi or as a father. It was the latter he had just been taking care of, tending to his toddler daughter Lucina and infant son Alvis, along with his older daughters Mina and Morgan. Little Lucy was increasingly active, not one to sit still; she was a little dancer, something that, if it persisted, would translate quite well to a fighting style. In other areas, she was a fast learner, and had graciously spared her parents from having to change two sets of diapers early. She was also grasping speech well, as well as very basic acknowledgement of the Force.
He hated that so much of his time had to be spent on this war, overseeing its progress, First Order movements, and even getting his own hands dirty. His youngest children needed him, and he desired to see their growth; Lucy, Alvis, and also Mina. He hated that this war had broken out so shortly after he had brought her into his home, but she was at least better off than she had been before. He was fortunate that his children were surrounded by a larger family that were willing and able to lover and take care of them even when he was unavailable; his younger sister Annabelle, for instance, had eagerly offered to keep an eye on the three younger children while he and Morgan went to answer the call.
According to Niam's message, members of Gadriel'lya's own defense force had returned to the planet after a long absence; a report corroborated by Culex, who had seemed a bit testy for reasons unknown. Not only that, but two sisters with the name of "Ordo" had arrived and had been looking for him as well, though they didn't seem to be fully Mandalorian. This sounded familiar, a fact he took note of but otherwise simply kept the facts in mind, grateful for Niam's detailed reports.
As he entered the hangar with his oldest daughter, he spotted the Hammerhead ships instantly, but the group of people that drew his eyes were standing by the YX-1980 instead. That ship sure had an interesting tale... and still no name yet. They would figure it out, he was sure, but they were more focused on actually getting it spaceworthy first; he had commended their recognition of priorities. They really were a solid team, despite some hitches, and they would only grow stronger as they grew older and more experienced.
He approached the group, recognizing who was most likely the leader of the landing party, as well as the two women.* "Lucian, yes?" *he asked the man, then turned towards the women.* "And you are Kaiya and Ellie Ordo? Welcome to Felucia, I am Aerandir Calmcacil and this is my daughter Morgan. How may I be of assistance?" *Of course, thanks to Niam's message, he had some vague notion of what they were searching for, but allowing them to explain it in person would better inform him of their needs.*

*Lana's answers were, far as Niam was concerned, a basic confirmation of his suspicions, though he still kept it to himself for now. If anything, it made her all the more interesting. Who built her? How long had she been at the base? Questions he would ask when he had the opportunity. In private, so as to avoid outing her, if he had to.
At last, the Calmcacils were on their way, including Morgan. The rather small eleven-year-old with emerald eyes and long dark-brown hair smiled as she approached her friends, breaking away from her father's side so that she could stand by Niam's, but not before stopping to wave at Lana.* "Hi Lana!" *As she stood by Niam's side, Koda immediately joined her as well, standing at her other side.
Giggling, Morgan put an arm around either of them and declared,* "My boys!"
*Koda seemed pleased by the notion. Niam had no reaction, other than to state,* "I didn't realize you were with your father."
Morgan nodded.* "Yep! I spend time with my family too, ya know!"
"Well, pay attention then, because this man," *Niam gestured toward Lucian,* "has some sort of mission for us."
*The mention of a mission immediately lit up Morgan's eyes and they were instantly drawn to the man, wondering just what sort of mission he had in mind. Where were Laney and Sylvie?! They had to be here too so they could be briefed and decide if they wanted to take it on! Well, of course they would take it on, but they still needed to make that decision as a team!*

*Ellie gave a formal bow to Master Calmacil when he arrived with his daughter. She wanted to get straight to business, but knew she had to wait here turn. Giving a sheepish grin, she turned to Lucian and signaled for to go first. Stepping back a few feet, she stopped next to her twin and spoke in a low voice.* "Is it just me, or do they seem slightly suspicious of us? Maybe I'm just nervous. "

Lucian noticed Kaiya fall silent and while he raised an eyebrow at this and tilted his head as if to inquire as to her thoughts, but before he could say anything Ellie spoke, answering his question, but really creating three or four more. his brows knitted together in thought but he didn't have long to process the information she had given him, that is... the little information she had offered... before he heard the pair of mismatched footsteps moving towards them. He raised his eyes to the pair, a girl that couldn't be a few years over 10, and a man who could only be the Master of this base, and perhaps to some, this planet. Must be the aforementioned "Master Calmcacil" and his daughter, he clearly had already sized up the group and identified him, an assumption which was ratified moments later when the Jedi addressed him by name, then the girls.
"Master Calmcacil I presume. Yes, Captain Lucian of the Hammerhead Corvette "Maugrim".
Lucian's ingrained training kicked in and his entire body tensed as he snapped to attention saluting the Jedi in the Bothan style that Gadriel had taught them all, a right fist slammed with a thud against his left breast just off left of his heart. He hesitated a moment at attention before he relaxed as the Jedi addressed the woman and waited until Ellie looked at him obviously expecting him to speak first. His eyes passed to Niam and the other whom the Jedi had introduced as Morgan before looking back to the Master.
"I am under orders from Captain Altair Sirraf, whom has taken command of the late Jedi Master Gadriel's defense fleet. He has ordered me to return here and... and to lend myself to the aide of the defense of this planet, to do everything within my power to progress in the efforts of making the armies of Felucia battle ready against the recent threat that now moves against the galaxy."
He recited his orders regardless of the presence of the young group, they would be a part of them soon regardless. He couldn't risk the children not knowing the truth, if they were going to be on the mission he had in mind.
"In preparation of this I have landed 50 clones and taken temporary command of the cloning facilities attached to this base. I trust that does not countermand any of your current operations."
The last was not spoken as a question, or with any amount of confrontation, simply as a statement of discussion. He still stood stiffly at some sort of attention, and while he knew that the small group was waiting for more intimate details concerning the mission he had in store for them he wasn't going to break eye contact with the Jedi Master now before him.

After inclining her head in a bow after Master Calmcacil arrives and greets them, Kaiya listens interestedly as Lucian shortly thereafter explains to the man what he has come to accomplish, learning more of him and those he has come with.
Leaning her head towards her twin when Ellie steps closer, Kaiya purses her lips in thought for a moment to consider what her sister has asked before answering. With a slight shake of her head after pondering the matter of whether she and her twin might be under some suspicion due to their surname and the understandable associations some might have upon hearing it, Kaiya says quietly, "I'm inclined, for now, to think you are letting your nervousness color your perceptions. I don't imagine one reaches the rank of Jedi Master without learning to keep prejudice at bay to a large degree. Besides which, she concludes, we are Jedi Padawans, not Mandalorians, and I'm sure that they can verify that with the Enclave on the Forest Moon if there is any doubt as to whether we are truly who and what we claim to be."

*Ellie almost felt like she was punched in the gut when her twin said that they weren't Mandalorians. Well, she was some what right, but it hurt none the less. She quickly covered up the feeling for one of embarrassment. Her face flushed red some as she tried to defend what she meant.* "We'll yeah, but that's..that's not what I mean. It's everyone else I'm worried about. Like that Riley guy when we first arrived. The first thing he asked, are we bounty hunters. Our last name, even with Padawan attached to it, is normally associated with Mandalorians. Also there's a lot more Jedi here, some of them may have been of fighting the new war with Mandalore." *She paused for a moment and scratched the back of her head. All the while trying to calm herself.* "Maybe I am nervous. I'm not really sure what to do in this situation. We're not taking on an easy task."

Looking mildly perplexed by her twin's reaction to what she had said, Kaiya frowns and then grins as she jokes quietly in an attempt to help Ellie relax, "What can I say vod, most aruetiise * are di'kutla ** when it comes to understanding that just having a Mando surname doesn't automatically make someone one of the Mando'ade. With a shrug of her shoulders, she suggests, Don't let unfounded prejudice get to you. Ignorance and bias are everywhere, but that doesn't mean you should let it get under your skin. We know who and what we are vod, and our actions will dispel any doubts or concerns about our heritage soon enough. Resting a hand on Ellie's shoulder, Kaiya gives it a reassuring squeeze as she goes on, It's normal to feel nervous before any mission vod. What matters is not letting your fears and doubts take hold, so take a deep breath and relax. We have each other, and the Force is with us. We'll get through this."

*Aerandir watched his daughter out of the corner of his eye and smiled at her behavior, though took some interest himself in Niam's comment about a supposed "mission" Lucian had for them. Of course the group would be on board, but what kind of a mission a returning group of military men had for a couple of kids Aerandir had to know.
As the two Ordo sisters patiently awaited their turn, Aerandir listened to Captain Lucian speak, immediately taking note of something he had to correct. The captain went on to explain his purpose here and that he had apparently taken "temporary command" of the cloning facilities. This was the only part that made Aerandir raise an eyebrow.* "Not that I know of, but I suppose it would be for the best if I ask the intentions of such a move, however." *Noticing the man was still standing somewhat rigidly, he added,* "Also, at ease. And just Aerandir's fine, if you please."
*Moving on from that, he added one final quick note in regards to Lucian's purpose.* "Regardless, your timing is quite fortunate, and we welcome you back to Felucia. We can definitely take any help we can get to ensure the First Order doesn't have its way with the galaxy."

"Aye sir!"
Lucian's ridged form seemed to relax, but only slightlyh. Even if Lucian and his men did not answer specifically to this Jedi, the respect for a clear authoritative figure was engrained deep within him. He was created with it and it would be near impossible for him to relax completely within the Jedi's presence. Regardless, Lucian would respect the Jedi's wishes in regards to his name - Gadriel had always hated the formalities as well.
"The actions are intended for the security of the base enhabitence as well as the safety of my men, we are going to be holding a few somewhat dangerous 'artifacts' from the chaos war that ended upon this planet during our late commanders tenure here."
Lucian's glance passed to the children, realizing his words could hinder his intentions to send the group after one such artifact, but he would navigate that asteroid field when he came to it. His eyes snapped back to Aerandir, still partially deaf to anything else that was going on. His focus entirely forward facing at the moment.
"Also i should report a fleet action taken by my commanding officer against the First Order in the Unknown Region of space. A Prisoner was taken, however my Captain would not allow the prisoner out of his presence and so Altair will be bringing him when he arrives with the Shilor's daughter."

*Ellie felt her cheeks burn some from embarrassment. She should have known better than to think that way, but it was hard not to sometimes. Trying her best to return her sisterson smile.* "Thanks vod. I'm just being foolish I guess." *She took a deep breath and let it out slowly as she tried to compose herself. * "I was thinking that...maybe we could visit the base they were using. There could be something there, you never know."
