Chalco shook his head and flashed a small smile at the Jevn's offer of assistance. With dark hair and vivid green eyes the man possessed a quiet calm that Chalco found approval in, a thoughtful demeanor that hinted at patient appraisal of things around him. He knew the man had trained at Yavin as a youngster but assumed he had already left for Coruscant before the Falleen arrived at the Praxeum there.
"Alas I fear they are precariously balanced and any such interference now could lead to a collapse."
He gestured with his chin towards a corridor and moved in that direction, his pace now unhurried and steady. His tan and emerald robes were fresh with him having changed from his morning excursion into the jungle and his single topknot was slightly damp indicated he had recently come from the baths.
"I understand you trained at Yavin when younger before moving to Coruscant..."
His head turned slightly as his own green eyes took in the younger Jedi.
"How did you find the big city?"

Jevn shifted his pack as he followed the Jedi down the halls, nodding in acknowledgement as the Jedi spoke. When he asked about Coruscant, Jevn inwardly smiled. He was asked that question quite a bit, especially by those who knew of his upbringing on Naboo and Yavin in his childhood. He answered as he always did. Busy. Dirty. But always intriguing, always something to do there. He turned slightly towards the Jedi as they walked. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't know who I'm speaking to...

The tall humanoid had the good grace to look abashed as they rounded a corner and stepped through a portal and into the wing that housed the classrooms and study centres. Stepping to the side to allow a group of youths to pass then by Chalco resumed his walk, turning his upper body slightly to offer Jevn an abbreviated bow.
"Forgive my manners, Jedi Marona. I am Master Chalco Gannor."
With another indication with his chin he drew attention to a side corridor that led to the teacher facilities, turning to head down it. Another gesture preceded him taking the third small door on his left and stepping into the classroom itself.
"Just follow my lead."
He muttered the words as the stepped into a classroom already occupied by just over a dozen children of around twelve years old...

"I've seen it done."
She nodded in the affirmative.
"If they're strong-willed enough, I've seen people come back from being Corrupted. One Jedi was even able to do it after we.. they killed him. He was still in control of his Echo. It took its toll on him, though, and he didn't last long. But I've known of those who were 'cured.'"
She gestured to herself, finally pushing herself up onto her feet.
"I mean, look at me. Born of the Corruption, and it's gone from me. Or, at least, not viable anymore. I'm me!"
This statement was followed by a rather unexpected action: she twirled, then, an expression of happiness, the kind that is only known by someone freed from oppression. Her hair, jet black with prominent streaks of blue, spread out around her as she spun, finally settling down a few moments later as she stopped, laughing.
"I think I know where you're going with this."

*The affirmation that someone Corrupted could be save came swiftly, filling Morgan with more hope than she'd felt in some time, and she visibly lightened as though a weight had been removed, her eyes widening and she even seemed to stand a little taller. Rogue even spoke of a Jedi who could control his Echo—she corrected herself to prevent being connected to the Corruption's murder of him—although he hadn't lasted long as it took his toll on him. That raised some questions...
Rogue even used herself as an example of one that was freed from the Corruption's influence, especially denoting herself as an individual. Then she stood and twirled, seeming genuinely happy by this announcement. Morgan watched, unable to contain a little smile herself, then Rogue announced that she thought she knew where Morgan was going with this.
Morgan paused a moment, processing it all. Rogue was an Echo... but she freed herself from the Corruption. Was no longer tied to it. And she had spoken of others, stating her certainty one could escape from it...
Expression hardened and serious once more, Morgan took a step forward, looking up at Rogue intently, a single question all she had to speak.* "How do we save him?"

Her eyes took on a sharpness to them, and her eyebrow twitched upward slightly.
"It's no easy task you're asking about, Morgan. I hope you realize that. To even attempt such a thing, you're going to be putting yourself in grave peril. Just going back there is crazy. And removing it.. That's going to be even tougher."
She sat back down, putting herself once more at eye level with the young girl.
"Are you sure you're up for it?"
She had to make sure..

*Morgan's expression remained set and she nodded curtly, having realized it would be no easy task before she even asked how to save Mesh. The grave peril part didn't even bother her; how many times in her life had she been at the brink of death, only to bounce back? More than anyone her age should be able to say. And she came back stronger each time, the claw scars across her chest were proof of that.
Had she ever willingly put herself in such a potential position? No. But this wasn't for herself, this was for someone else. That alone was her drive. The Corruption had been a terrifying entity, but nothing frightened her more than Psallo.
When Rogue looked her in the eye, intent on making absolutely sure Morgan was up for it, she did not answer immediately, much as she wanted to. She looked to one side and then the other, thinking about her experience. She was talented and had a powerful connection to the Force. She had a determination that couldn't be broken when she set her mind to something. She still remembered everything Mesh had taught her about Haruun Kal, about the Summertime War, the metal-eating fungi... But he had known nothing about the Corruption.
And what were the risks? She had so many family and friends, many of which couldn't bear the thought of something happening to her. She was prepared to take that risk... Was it foolish? Maybe even selfish? How could the motivation to save the life of one who didn't deserve to be taken be considered selfish in the slightest?
Finally, she looked back up at Rogue, her expression as determined as ever, and she nodded again.* "He didn't deserve this," *was her final justification.*

"...Then we'll get him back."
She shuddered visibly. Morgan was going to need her help to do this. Walking in blind was effectively committing suicide, only worse, and Rogue knew the Corruption better than anyone else on the planet. She was born of it.. and the thought of walking into the jungles of Haruun Kal scared her. The Guardian would have her head if she was recaptured. She doubted that there would be any reconstitution into the collective for her, after all that she had done.
But if Morgan could have the courage to venture in there.. She supposed she could too.
"You're going to need my help. There's no way you can manage this alone."
Her gaze grew cold and distant.
"You have no idea what the Corruption can do to a person."

*Morgan managed to crack a small grin at Rogue's declaration that they would get him back, yet it was not a smile of victory, nor overconfidence, but one of determination. If Rogue had faith, with all her knowledge of the Corruption, then it was more than possible.
But then Rogue shuddered, causing Morgan to almost frown. That didn't look good. But when Rogue spoke again, it was to offer her own help, saying that Morgan couldn't manage this alone. Well, duh... She couldn't have escaped without Rush and— And Mesh... No, she couldn't feel regret, not when the plan was to bring Mesh back! She set her expression once more, nodding. When Rogue's gaze grew cold and distant and she stated that Morgan had no idea what the Corruption could do to a person, she only continued to keep her gaze firmly.*
"I know I can't go alone," *she replied.* "And I know there's more to it than I saw... and what you told me... But I'm still gonna save him! So... I'll take any help I can get."

With hunched shoulders and her hands in her pockets, Eli entered the courtyard. She hated that the cafeteria was so far from the hangar. It meant more people had time to stop her and talk to her, stare at her, see all her awkwardness and flaws. The limp in her right foot. The weird way she cocked her head to the left. The scars along her forearms. She folded her arms across her chest and walked faster. Maybe Ariel was in the cafeteria and had time to hang out. Across the way, she saw two other people talking. One she knew to be the Headmaster's daughter, Morgan. Super friendly and completely innocent, but her boldness with people put Eli off. She wanted to put her head down and not make eye contact but the other person... Blue skin, blue hair. Eli had seen her before, somewhere. Then Arie burst through the doors on the other side, a datapad in hand. Arie . . . Yavin . . . Rogue. Rogue was here. That strange blue girl made from a person and a pathogen. Arie soon approached her and Eli gave up on figuring out if she should say hi or ignore Rogue. She frowned when she saw the lines around Arie's mouth and the shrunken pupils of her sister's eyes.
"Eli, you know your dreams? About the blue?" she asked breathlessly.
Eli raised her eyebrows. "Yeah? What about 'em?"
Arie handed the datapad to her. "You need to see this."
Eli took the datapad with a scrunched up look at Arie then turned her attention to the vid playing on screen. A news report from Algara II switched from bird's eye views to different cameras set around a specific area. Eli clenched the datapad and ground her teeth. In the middle of a forest, a black crater marred the planet's surface. A bright pool of blue liquid sat in the center, covering a good portion of the crater itself. Long tendrils that seemed to throb with color stretched out in criss-cross patterns, creating a thick web. Some of the veins had reached trees beyond the impact area and covered the trunks thickly. Eli hardly heard the reporter, her ears roared so loud.
Rogue. Blue. The Corruption.
"It's a pathogen. It sinks into whatever it can find and converts it. It lives to consume and to spread. Everything it touches, it destroys."
With a pale face, Eli walked away from Ariel and towards Rogue. She didn't care that she would be interrupting the conversation with her and the headmaster's daughter. This was pretty kriffing important, gods-damn it.
"Rogue," she said. "It's back. Help me stop it."

She had opened her mouth to respond to Morgan, when a girl came barging up to her. A girl she recognized.
Eliel?
When the girl spoke, Rogue simply nodded in turn, as if there had been no interruption at all, as if this was the natural flow of the conversation.
"I know. I can feel it out there. Believe me, I know."
She glanced down at Morgan, then back up at the young woman -- though "young" was a misnomer, given Rogue's true age.
"We're planning to go to Haruun Kal. That's.. Well, doing any sort of damage to the pathogen there would hurt its efforts. And probably really piss it off. And we could use some help."
She smiled, a gesture that was not at all reflected in her eyes.
"Help me help you."

*Of course they weren't alone in the courtyard, since it was one of the busiest areas of the base; people were very often crossing through on their way from one location to another. Being used to that, Morgan hadn't noticed the woman until she suddenly became a third-party in the conversation. Morgan looked up at her in slight surprise, recognizing her, though unable to immediately pin down a name. Something like Eli?
Regardless, she knew Rogue, declared something was "back," and wanted her help stopping it. Wait... It was a stretch, but did she mean... ?! Rogue's response immediately confirmed that, yes, Eli meant the Corruption. Rogue's glance at Morgan was immediately returned by the young girl. She could almost grin; literally just after declaring her need for any and all help, her prayers had been answered with one more person willing and eager to attack the Corruption. This was good. Now if only an army more would come to their aid...
Rogue spoke of their current plans to go to Haruun Kal, and Morgan considered adding in some pleas of her own, but judging by Eli's apparent determination, that wouldn't be needed. However, there was something else...* "I'll be fine," *she spoke, her expression suddenly bearing determination matching that of Eli's.* "I won't get in the way, but it took something from me I gotta get back..." *She blinked briefly as she felt her eyes sting, but no tears came. There was no time for those.*

Eli pressed her lips into a thin line when Pipsqueak Calmcacil spoke up. This was a baaaaaaaad idea that bordered on the lines of suicide. If anything happened to her, Grandmaster Aerandir would probably imprison Eli and Rogue for killing his kid. But apparently Rogue had no problem with this. And they were wasting time just standing around. The Corruption was more important.
"Fine," she said. She pointed at Rogue. "But you have to watch the kid."

Her eyebrow twitched up, unamused by Eliel's apparent lack of regard.
"And who exactly will be watching you?"
Her eyebrow traveled back down, setting itself in a stern, unblinking glare towards the reckless engineer.
"You've never faced this. You don't know what it can do."

Things were already boding ill. It had taken a while to find his room, and longer still to go to the hangar, get his things, and then put them in his new domicile. In the end, though, he stood washed, and dressed in knee high black boots, cloth pants of light green coloring, a long sleeved tunic of dark green coloring, elbow length black gloves - Imperial style, baby - and a single gleaming chromium saber at his hip that matched his chromium utility belt. Over all this he wore a dark, almost black, green robe with hood. Making his way, to the dining hall, he had found it to be most crowded - so, picking up some food, he sent a comm message to his Padawan's room for her to meet him in the courtyard.

A few minutes later, Mary wandered out into the courtyard. She had not gotten rid of the leather duster. Though now she was wearing it loosely open instead of closed, with a set light grey jedi robes beneath it. Hanging at her left hip was the bone handled sabre, with the short sword resting slightly lower against her thigh. On her right side the second sabre was noticeably missing, as was the blaster pistol, instead the cut down carbine was in its place. Though seemingly big on her, it wasn't in truth that much bigger than the pistol. The hat & mask were now back in place hiding her face. A pair of matching grey boots & gloves completed the outfit, leaving no skin showing.
-Mary Here you are. I didn't see you in the mess hall.

"Much too crowded." Said Dand, giving her a once over. Still heavily armed, but more or less dressed appropriately. Her survival instincts would be hard to shake - but he decided to leave it be. In all honesty, a saber made out of bone was going to raise more eyebrows than the carbine. "I must admit, I've never had a Padwan before. It will be a learning experience for both of us. Eh, here, eat. Its bland and tasteless, but the Jedi are fond of it." He said "Jedi" as if they were a separate species, or completely unrelated to himself. Curious indeed. "You look good, by the way. I suppose our first order of business should be transportation - Jedi go on missions and the like, and we're more than likely to be assigned some in the near future. Do you have a craft?"

-Mary Never needed one before. Have a good bit of experience with ships & droids though. We could check the hanger to see if there is anything nice there.
Pushing the mask up just enough to eat, Mary quickly downed the food by more or less pouring it down her throat. Returning her mask to its place, she waved the now empty bowl in the direction of the hanger.

Dand gave Mary a sharp look. "Nice, and not being used or owned." He corrected. "Alright, let's go." Standing the pair made their way to the hangar bay.

*The three children upon the akk dog Rush reached the edge of the jungle, just outside the main entrance of the Jedi Base. They dismounted, Morgan bidding him and the rathtar Terror goodbye for now, reminding the akk to keep an eye on the rathtar. Rush affirmed this with a bark before turning and disappearing into the jungle with the tentacled creature once more. The tailring Lokay now on her shoulders, Morgan turned and led Mina and Light into the main entrance of the base.
She stopped inside the courtyard, heading toward the fountain and sitting on its edge; despite her increased stamina on the world, today's events had been so fantastical that she still felt in need of a break. She invited her companions to sit by her, and Mina took the invitation, while Morgan looked at Light.* "This is our Base!" *she explained.* "It's pretty big, and there's a lot of different rooms and areas here. This is the courtyard! One of the nicer spots, besides the Gardens." *Pulling her datapad out of her backpack, she continued,* "I'm gonna tell Daddy to meet us here. He's nice! He'll take you in, no problem!" *Well, he might be a little concerned at first, but then again, Light was part of the Corruption...*
