The West Medbay is located on the Northeastern Hallway of the West building. It is one of the largest rooms in the West building, and houses Ashili Vin's office, several sickbeds, bacta tanks, rooms of medicine, x-ray machines, cat-scan and MRI-machines, and many other things needed to house a fully staffed medical facility. Ashili Vin uses this medbay for forensics, and as a secondary medbay if the primary one in the East building is full.
Amongst all the Jedi healers, medical droids can also be seen as assistants.

*Master Sovund entered the medbay carrying Ellie in his arms. The room was already full of sentients, from healers to knights and masters with varying levels of injury. Sovund entered a small operating room and set Ellie down on the operating table. He was joined by a female Mon Calamari and a medical droid to act as his assistants. Carefully the Mon Calamari pulled back Ellie's clothes around the wound for them to better operate on. Ellie gave a hiss through her teeth when they did, she was still in pain and still bleeding. The medical droid placed a mask over Ellie's mouth that started filtering an anesthetic into her lungs. Slowly, Ellie started to fall asleep, after several minutes, she was out. Once she was completely asleep and situated, Master Sovund turned to Kaiya.* "I know that you are worrying for the safety of your sister, but, I must ask that you wait outside until the operation is complete." *As he spoke he gently ushered Kaiya out into the waiting room. Leaving her behind, he once more entered the operating room.*
*After nearly an hour, Master Suvond finally exited the operating room. He was looked mentally tired, but his expression held no sadness. A small smile formed on his face as he addressed Kaiya.* "Your sister is fine now, just resting. She had a close call. The pieces of shrapnel just barely missed vital organs. I may not believe in luck, but I have to say, she got lucky." *He motioned for her to follow and started back towards a different room.* "Sadly she couldn't be placed in a bacta tank, as their all being used right now. Fortunately, her injuries patched up well enough that she doesn't really need one. She just needs rest and to take it easy for a while." *He came to a stop in front of a door leading into a small room. Inside, Ellie lay on a bed in medical robes. Her eyes were closed, as if she was asleep. She didn't look in pain anymore, just exhausted. Stepping back from the door, Master Sovund spoke in a low tone.* "I'll give you two some privacy. Also, I have many more to attend to."

Clutching her lightsaber hilt tightly and biting her lower lip to prevent herself from protesting when Master Sovund asks her to wait outside while her twin is operated on, Kaiya manages a nod and turns to leave as asked before she is unable to resist protesting and arguing to remain by Ellie's side.
Pacing the waiting room anxiously, impatient as a caged animal, Kaiya keeps her lightsaber hilt in hand in case the fighting reaches the medical bay and it must be defended, something she almost wishes would happen so that she has something to distract her from her worry for her twin. The hour she spends waiting feels more like a week to Kaiya, but the relief she feels when Master Sovund informs her that Ellie will be fine is so immense that she forgets the purgatorial waiting, as well as her own physical and emotional exhaustion as she wipes away her relived tears and tells the Bothan, "Thank you, Master, thank you for saving her."
Nodding when, after entering her twin's room and stepping to her bedside, Master Sovund says that he has other wounded to see to, Kaiya takes Ellie's hand in her own and whispers softly, "I'm here, vod. You're Ok now. You just rest, Ok? "

*Ellie felt her twin take her hand and speak reassuringly to her. Gently squeezing Kaiya's hand, Ellie opened her eyes and looked at her twin. Her gaze was somewhat groggy, as the anesthetic hadn't fully worn off yet. She gave a faint smile and spoke softly.* "Thanks vod. But, I think you look like you should be the one in this bed, you look as tired as I did when you first woke up after Ryloth." *She tried to give a small laugh, but found that it hurt to much to do so.* "I feel like crap. That thermal must of hit us pretty hard."

Returning her twin's smile with one of her own, Kaiya's relieved laughter when Ellie's joking comments make it clear that she will be fine just as Master Sovund said. "Well, I'd tell you to just scoot over and give me some room, Kaiya jokes, but moving would probably still hurt you too much, huh? Turning to look over her shoulder, Kaiya spots the chair in the corner and says, I'll pull that chair over and try to rest in a minute. Looking back to Ellie, Kaiya asks, Can I get you anything? Some water? More pillows? Or should I just, she laughs, stop talking so you can go back to sleep?"

*Ellie gave a soft laugh, as much as her body would allow anyway.* "No, I don't need anything. I just.." *She paused for a moment and thought about her next few words. With a little bit of difficulty, she slid over far enough to let her twin sit down on the bed.* "Feel a little shaken up about the whole thing, and not just the almost dying thing. As for talking. You can talk all you want, I'll probably just fall asleep at some point anyway."

Sitting down after Ellie has scooted over, Kaiya crosses her legs beneath her, her mouth trying to keep smiling as her sister echoes her own thoughts when saying how everything that has happened has left her feeling shaken up; the battle at the enclave coming so soon on the heels of their return from their recent misadventures away from Endor, and Ellie's injuries during the battle distressing for both twins as well.
Reaching over to rub Ellie's shoulder gently, Kaiya says, "I know how you feel, vod. Laughing a little when her twin points out that she may just fall asleep even if Kaiya continues talking, Kaya says, Just go to sleep. You need your rest, and gar shuk meh kyrayc *, right? Sighing as she rubs her hands on the sides of her face, Kaiya says, I'm not sure how much longer I can stay awake anyway."

*Ellie forced out a low laugh.* "Anymore I'm surprised that I'm not dead, not after all we've been through lately." *She winced some as she felt her side. The bandages covered any sign of injury so she couldn't feel how bad it was other than the pain.* "We're both tired now, and not just physical either. You should get rest as well. I'm sure we'll both be seeking answers as to what happened when we wake." *Her head drooped some before she quickly lifted it up and turned to her twin.* "I hope Kateri and Honon are alright, and your master." *She couldn't fight off sleep any longer. Closing her eyes, she gave a soft sigh and quickly fell asleep. What tomorrow held would come quickly enough.*

"Me too, vod, me too," Kaiya says through a yawn, agreeing not only with Ellie's surprise that they are both still among the living after their recent misadventures, but also with the suggestion that they are both mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, as well as with her twin's hopes that their friends and her Master have all made it through the recently concluded battle unharmed.
Leaning back against the headboard with another yawn, Kaiya folds her arms over her chest and closes her eyes, only to rest them for a minute she tells herself, though her slow breathing and slackened posture soon reveal that she has fallen asleep.
Her Master, Brijesh, wakes her briefly at some later point, and Kaiya learns that Kateri and Honon also survived the battle, though Honon was badly injured and will require a mechanical right arm prosthesis in addition to an artificial eye due to the injuries he sustained. The relief Kaiya feels, however, is weighted by the news of other Padawans, Knights, and Masters that did not survive the battle, and she finds it difficult to sleep for some time after Master Kei'takao leaves.
The morning finds Kaiya still snoring softly, seated on the bed beside her twin . . .

*Ellie slowly began to wake. She could feel pain, she knew what it was but couldn't fully remember what it was. Her right hand squeezed around something that wasn't there, her lightsaber. Still in a confused daze, she opened her eyes and saw that she was in the medbay. Quickly, the events of the previous day came flooding back. The battles, the pain and almost dying. Her sleepy eyes panned the room until they landed on her sister, asleep next to her. Reaching over she gently shook her twin and spoke in a hoarse voice.* "Vod? What time is it?" *Ellie could tell it was morning by the light filtering in through the window. She didn't, however, know how long she had been out.* "What happened to the intruders?"

Stretching her arms overhead, entwining them as, unable to answer Ellie's questions immediately since she yawns widely after emitting a sleepy moan, Kaiya blinks owlishly after the yawn, rubbing the back of her neck as she peers around for a chrono. "Oh-six-hun'ed, vod, Kaiya says as she rubs her eyes, then explains what her Master had made her aware of earlier, Mas'er said that the 'truders all fought to the bitter end, but tha' we won in the end. Los' alotta people, Kaiya says, her tone mournful, and pauses before going on, There was some fighting in orbit too, but the enemy fleet was repelled. Oh, and they blew up their ship, the enemy I mean, they had a ship that was down here on the moon when the rest of their fleet withdrew, and the ship down here self-destructed or something. Not sure what that was about, but the Masters are investigatin', or will 'vestigate soon. Yawning once more, shaking her head as though to free herself from the lingering embrace of sleep, Kaiya smiles as she looks at her twin, relieved once more that she is relatively unharmed, and asks, How are you feelin' this mornin', vod?"

*Ellie listened to what her twin said. Even though they won the day, so to speak, they had no idea who these people were, and the cost of life was high. The actions of the intruders also didn't make any sense. They risked so much and for what? There really wasn't anything here, and to sacrifice not only a ship like that, but so many soldiers. Her attention turned to her sister when asked how she was feeling.* "Better, also a little bitter. So..how bad is it?" *She lifted her shirt and pulled the bandages out of the way some to show her twin the injury, without looking herself. She'd rather hear her twins opinion before looking at it.*

Tilting her head to the side after leaning forward slightly to get a closer look at Ellie's wound, Kaiya purses her lips in thought as she assesses the injury in light of how it had appeared prior to being treated, and after a moment says, "Not as bad as it could have been if you hadn't been treated by a Jedi healer shortly after being wounded, vod, that is for sure. Sitting back up and gesturing towards the injury, Kaiya suggests, Take a look and see for yourself. You'll have an interesting scar, but I think you'll be fine otherwise since the muscle and internal organ damage was healed outright or at least minimized by Master Sovund."

*Taking her sisters advice, she looked at the injury herself. The scar was about as long as her index finger, but otherwise not as bad as she thought it would be. She let out a small laugh and covered the wound before lowering her shirt.* "Well, it hurts worse than it looks. Which is a good things I guess." *She sat up straighter and stretched some to shake out the rest of the soreness in her body.* "Definitely could have been worse. So how is Honon and Kateri doing? Maybe I could try getting out of this bed and we could go see them"

Tilting her head to the side skeptically when Ellie suggests that they go and pay the Trujillo siblings a visit, Kaiya asks, "You sure you're up to getting up and moving around, vod? Hopping from the bed and stretching her arms overhead with a yawn, Kaiya offers her twin a hand up while explaining, Kat and Honon are actually just down the hall, and the walking will be good for you, so let's go and see if they're awake."
Explaining as they walk slowly from the room and down the hall that Honon had been badly injured, suffering the loss of both his right arm and right eye in the battle, Kaiya remains close to her twin in case she should feel unsteady. Rapping on the door to Honon's room, Kaiya waves Ellie in ahead of her after Kateri, obviously as reluctant to leave her brother's side as Kaiya is to leave her sister's, invites them in.
"How's he doing?" Kaiya asks Kateri quietly upon seeing that Honon is asleep, his bruised and torn face bandaged heavily.
Sighing as she runs her hands through her mussed red mohawk, Kateri says, "Resting. The healers have done what they can for him, and now we just have to wait until he's stable enough for them to do the surgery to replace his leg and eye with prosthetics. Managing a smile as she looks towards Ellie, the Korun says, Good to see you up and about, Ordo. How are you feeling? Hopefully, she jokes, not as crappy as you look."

*Ellie stepped quietly into the room, her bare feet barely making a sound. She gave a small grin at Kateri's comment.* "I must look pretty bad, but..I'm feeling better." *Her gaze stayed on Honon. For some reason a strong feeling of guilt welled up inside her. She knew it wasn't her fault, but she felt as if it was. Her eyes turned back to Kateri.* "I..I'm sorry. He'll be alright. I bet this won't even slow him down." *Her gaze turned back to her friend laying on the bed. A frown appeared on her face.* "I just wish we knew who they were. Cause the hit us pretty hard, and quickly."

Kateri nods, rubbing her chin in thought when Ellie voices her thoughts concerning the unknowns about their attackers and their motivation for the attack. "Well, I've heard that the Headmasters will be sending a team of Knights to investigate the wreckage of an enemy ship that was reported as self-destructing once the enemy began their withdrawal, so maybe they will learn something? Her tone is skeptical, with just a dash of optimism as Kateri adds, And, well, there's also the bodies of the enemy troops to examine, which might be more useful in terms of intel gathering."
"I wonder, Kaiya speculates aloud, if there's any way we could be a part of the investigation, or at least learn what we find out sooner rather than later?"

*There were a lot of questions buzzing around in Ellie's mind, and she wanted answers. She turned to her twin and gave a thoughtful look.* "Maybe we should go ask your Master and see if we can help. Well...right after I change anyway." *She was all for helping, but she didn't want to wander around in medical robes while doing so.*

Giving Kateri's shoulder a supportive squeeze, Kaiya says, "I'm sure he'll be annoying as ever in no time, and if there's anything we can do for you, give us a comm alright?" After exchanging a few more words with their friend, who she knows would no more leave her brother's bedside than she herself would leave Ellie's if she had not yet regained consciousness, Kaiya nods towards the door.
Once in the hall outside, Kaiya asks her twin with a note of concern in her voice, "Are you're up to this right now, vod? Maybe you should get some rest and leave the . . . trailing off as she realizes who she is talking to, Kaiya runs a hand through her hair while shaking her head and saying with an amused grin, Never mind, let's go and find you some clothes and then see Master Kei'takao."

*Ellie gave a chuckle when Kaiya retracted her objection. She lead the way back to their rooms were she changed, with a little trouble, into her normal attire of khaki pants and a white tunic. Over top of that she wore a set of brown Jedi robes. Her side still throbbed but she knew to take it easy and the pain would eventually go away. When she was finished changing, she turned to her twin.* "Alright vod. Let's go see what Master Kei'takao has to say."
