Stepping through the doors of the ballroom was a man very much unlike the rest of the colorful cast of characters that had chosen to visit this fine evening. Scanning the room with his deep eyes, he could immediately tell this wasn’t his sort of event. He was used to handsomely dressed men, wearing clothes that cost more than the average mining settlement produced in a month, elaborate dresses that took an artist years to create. Sparkling champagne, classical music that wowed audiences even on Coruscant, expertly prepared gourmet food, tinkling crystal chandeliers, elaborate decorations, ballroom dancing... a more cultured, refined sort of event. All of the fineries that a noble like himself was used to.
On this particular day, Aderon wore one of his full dress outfits; gloves, black boots with a gold trim, snow white cape, bottom and top, all with a gold trim. Saber at his hip. He noticed one of his cuff links was a few millimetres off and adjusted it, completing the look. Striding inside, he waited for the host’s attendants to welcome him.

Aderon stood watching over the wall. A large number of droids were approaching. The dust they kicked up from the former farmlands obscured their exact forces, but the electronic signature binoculars could pick them up easily. As could the ground based radar. A klaxon sounded, ushering all residents into their homes and all militiamen to the wall. Soldiers ran to the wall, their white armor and glistening black faceplates looking more like the armor of stormtroopers than defenders of liberty. Wielding flechette launchers, riot guns, and riot shields, they were more designed for police work. As they stood, guns aimed over the wall, several massive light blue beams hit the shield.
At first, nothing happened. The soldiers on the wall stood steady, unmoving. Helmets facing straight out over the battlefield. Aderon, standing on the balcony of the palace, wore a worried expression on his face, as his breath created tendrils of frost against the cold air. Staring up at the shield as the massive blue beams worked away at it. The generation device was heating up, slowly but surely, under the pressure of the SPHA weapons. Suddenly, his attentend, standing beside him, gestured sildly towards a single spot on the massive bubble; a crack had formed in the shield.
“Commence the bombardment.”
All around the city, domes peeled back, revealing massive proton cannons, armed and ready to fire. There was a loud mechanical whirring as the weapons moved and locked into place, followed by a moment of eerie silence. Then, a loud boom and crack echoed across the city. A purple-pink trail arced from one of the guns to outside the wall, creating a distan explosion. Suddenly, thousands of these booms could be heard as weapons fired, reloaded, and then fired again. Soldiers on the wall held their ground, waiting for the droid attack to commence in earnest. Across the massive shield, cracks and small holes began forming, as more and more damage was put into it. The shield generator was being pushed now, he hoped to the force that it held.

The fleet immedeaely moved to defensive positions and prepared for battle with a cold, mechanical efficiency. Shells were loaded into cannons, shields were raised, and turbolasers were prepared. At the same time, eight hundred fighters prepared for launch aboard the Lucrehulk. X0 got on comms with Kortos.
"Statement. By directive M-6879, all ships arriving to Serenno must be terminated, and all life forms aboard either killed or processed. Your threats have no tangible or tactical effect on us, organic. You will now be terminated. Lethal force authorized."

Above the war-torn world of Serenno, an enormous Separatist armada sat laying in wait, consisting of 16 Muunifient-Class Frigates, 5 Recuscant-Class Light Destroyers, 2 Providence-Class Dreadnaughts, and a Lucrehulk-Class Carrier. The fleet, led from the Invincible (Lucrehulk Class) was commanded by Super Tactical Droid X0-57. He sat, waiting to shoot down any ships that approached the planet or attempted to leave. It was what the master ordered. And whatever the master said went, in his eyes.

1 Year Before the Arrival of the Jedi Lords...
Carannia had once been a magnificent city. With architecture that rivaled that of the Galactic City on Coruscant, lively people, wonderful entertainment, and the steeping of history that the city had, it had always been a prime destination for galactic tourists. It attracted the wealthy, the powerful, and those who wanted a taste of a more civil, refined, cultured experience that the world was known for. Not any more however.
It had been a relatively normal day when the fighting broke out. The droid armies on the planet had suddenly turned against the humans. Specifically, the droids produced on Geonosis. The massive fleet in orbit had locked down the system, and droids began overwhelming the government forces on the planet. The human forces of the SDF had not been enough to repel the massive attack force. Millions of droids swarmed across the planet, pushing the humans further and further back. Trapped with no way of escape, the government forces in Carannia fought a losing battle against the endless hordes of droids being produced by the foundries that had been so skillfully crafted by the Infinite Imperium. The city and it's accompanying defensive rings had been set up concentrically. First, there were the outlying districts, encompassed by wall Aurek. Then, there was the city proper, protected by wall Besh, it's magnificent architecture still standing, but militerised. Gun emplacements stood from balconies, concert halls became hospitals, et cetera. Finally, there was the government, military, and palatine districts, set up in wall Cresh. A massive, starship grade energy shield protected the city, while artillery rained fire upon the droids whenever they regrouped to attack. Every day, it seemed like more and more droids came.
Wall Aurek had fallen after six months, after commando droids had killed the shield projector, and tanks broke through the gates. Ninety-Five percent of the ring's population had been lost, alongside the farmland that provided for the city. With shortages mounting, and no end to the conflict in sight, Aderon was losing hope. The Galactic Alliance had abandoned them, and they were trapped by the blockade in orbit. Their only recourse was to fight a stalling action against the forces of the droids, and hope that some miracle would come about that would save them...

A group of state troopers exited a shuttle and marched into he palace. Stopping to salute by the entrance, they entered the lobby of the Count’s private offices and sat down to wait to deliver their report.

Captain Avalon was in charge of this operation, and he took it very seriously. From a police gunship, he coordinated the speeders in their hunt for the foolish pirates who dared intrude on their planet. Two more gunships were on standby for whenever the imbeciles has been found. With the arc lights cutting through the darkness like a lightsaber on metal, he was confident that the pirates would be found. With checkpoints set up at entrances to the cities, it wouldn’t be long before they were caught. Just then, Avalon heard a beeping over the radio. Picking it up, he pressed his ear against the cold metal, trying to make out the voice over the rush of wind surrounding the ship.
This is Flash Four. I’ve found them heading up a side track, it looks like towards Saffia.
The Recon Officer who had found them was on the younger side, a new recruit. Lieutenant Bazzi. He was a little too energetic, but he had the skills needed for a quick ascension through the ranks.
Well done, Lieutenant. Follow them at a distance. Arc lights off. Use the infrared sensor on your goggles.
Turning to the Pilot, he walked to the front of the gunship.
Pilot! Tell all units to hone in on Lieutenant Bazzi’s signal!
The pilot complied, before steering the gunship towards the pirates. “It won’tbe long now”, he thought to himself.
