Opening the hatch atop his Nemesis-class patrol ship's boarding ramp, Razmik smiles cheerily as he greets the pair of humans in his refined Coruscanti accent, "Ah, a very good morning to you gentleman! Lovely day, is it not? Motioning for Armin, who has joined him atop the boarding ramp, to move down to help the chap with the repulsor-sled, Razmik crosses his arms and leans against the side of the hatch as he chatters in an amiable tone, Armin will happily take over sled duty, gentleman, and see that those crates of yours are stowed safely aboard. I don't believe we ever caught your names, did we? If we're to be working together, I imagine it would be nice not to have to resort to such general things as hey you, or gents, or what have you, wouldn't you both agree? Ah, and speaking of working together, where is it we'll be taking those crates of yours to?"
As Razmik chats, Armin walks down to the repulsor-sled and offers, "You can keep the sled here, and I'll take the crates aboard."

Dierk steps away from the repulsor-sled when Armin says that he will take over, lifting his hands and saying, "All yours, buddy."
Brizio, ignoring the question about his and Dierk's names completely, reaches into a front pocket of his vest and, after producing a datacard, tosses it to Razmik as he says, "Everything you need is on there. Nav-coordinates, name of who you're making the delivery to, how to report in when the delivery has been made. Turning to make his way back down the boarding ramp, lifting a hand to wave without turning to look at Razmik, he says, See you around," and then nods for Dierk to leave the hangar as well.
"Have fun, Dierk says with a wave before he moves to follow Brizio. As he and Brizio head away from the ship and into the crowds, Dierk spots the group of three Sesk'vati that had been tipped off about the fact Razmik and his crew are smuggling spice by Sinya'gella as a way to test out how the crew handles themselves under stress, and tells Brizio, Can't wait to hear how they handle this," and chuckles with an amused shake of his head.
The highest ranking Sesk'vati of the team tipped off nods for his comrades to stay by the doors of the landing berth Razmik's ship had been assigned, and calls out for Armin to, "Stop with the sled, as he strides towards the ship. Step back from the sled please, the Sesk'vati adds, pointing at Razmik as he asks, This your ship?"

"Bloody hells, Razmik mutters under his breath as the three Twi'lek's enter the landing bay, recognizing their garb as that worn by Ryloth's military caste. Nodding subtly when Armin looks to him for confirmation of whether or not to do as the Twi'lek's leader has asked, Razmik smiles as he answers the question asked of him calmly, It is my ship, yes. Razmik Gregoryan, he introduces himself while extending a hand as he walks towards the Twi'lek that seems to be in charge, Captain of the Gledalac. How can I help you?"
His mind races as he waits for the Twi'lek's reply; the situation feels like a set-up, the arrival of the authorities right on the heels of the delivery of what is very likely to be illegal cargo of one kind or another smells to the heavens, and Razmik suspects he probably has only a handful of options open to him in order to avoid breaking cover. Which of those options is the one that will get him and his crew out of the trap that has been sprung, Razmik knows, is what he'll need to figure out, and rather quickly.

Firith'tualin, the highest ranking of the three Sesk'vati, sets the end of his lyaer'tsa on the ground while pointing towards the repulsor sled with his free hand, telling Razmik, "You can have your crew member by the sled walk slowly to it, and then open it so I can inspect your cargo, Captain Gregoryan. I'll also need the names of all the members of your crew," he adds with a brief glance over his shoulder towards one of the Sesk'vati flanking the doors to convey that he should start running checks of the ship and crew against Sesk'vati databases to learn whether the names of the crew or their ship raise any red flags.
Tott'waran, the Sesk'vati responsible for running the security checks, nods and takes a datapad from a pouch on his holster belt, beginning to check for any records Razmik and his ship might have while listening for the names of the other crew members so that he can check them as well. Yuned'han, the last of the Sesk'vati present in the hangar bay, watches Razmik and the member of the crew instructed to open the repulsor sled's cargo closely, one hand holding his lyaer'tsa while the other rests on the handle of the blaster pistol holstered on his thigh.

"Of course, Razmik says with a calm, confident smile as he motions for Armin to do as asked, managing to keep his expression from revealing the hopeful question he would like to ask Armin, who is subtly pocketing his datapad with a barely concealed smile on his lips. The members of my crew are . . ."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wenqian, a pale skinned and red haired Kage, says as she jogs down the boarding ramp, waving her datapad above her head to get everyone's attention. Having received a holonet message from Armin informing her of the situation developing outside the ship, Wenqian had hastily come up with a ploy she figures has about a 50/50 chance of succeeding. What are you thinking? Wenqian asks Armin in a convincing tone somewhere between exasperation and concern as she slaps his hand away from the crate on the sled he had been reaching for to open. That is all hazardous stuff, needs to stay shut, remember? Shaking her head in mock exasperation as she continues towards the Sesk'vati she takes to be the one in charge, Wenqian says, Wenqian Ri, ship's mechanic. The idiot that risked everyone's lives is Armin Hain, our medic, who should really know better. Our co-pilot, Alessia Salinitri, is still aboard. Holding the datapad out to the Twi'lek, mentally crossing her fingers that the quick job she did of drafting an official looking manifest stating the cargo they are hauling is sensitive and not to opened before being delivered, Wenqian gives Razmik a quick glance, hoping he follows her lead if any backing up is needed. Good thing I made it out here in time," Wenqian says to the Twi'lek as he takes the datapad.
The crew's names, and that of their ship, should raise no flags, red or otherwise; no record of the crew or their ship being affiliated with the Sector Rangers exists given the fact they are all undercover operatives.

Firith, his expression openly skeptical as well as wary as the red headed female approaches him with a datapad while yammering about hazardous cargo, accepts the device from Wenqian and scrutinizes the document displayed on the screen. Looking over a shoulder, Firith motions for Tott to come over, saying, "Have a look at this manifest, see if you can authenticate it. As Tott comes closer and takes the datapad and begins to go about attempting to verify the crew's claim that their cargo is hazardous and cannot be opened, Firith tells Wenqian, Go and get your co-pilot, please," as much to verify the being in question matches their identification documents as to keep the crew occupied while Tott does his job with the manifest.
"I'll need all of your identification documents, as a matter of fact," Firith tells the other crew members, motioning for them to bring the documents to him so that he can inspect them.
"Looks to be in order, sir," Tott tells Firith after a few moments, his examination of the crew's cargo manifest unable to detect anything suspicious about it.

Doing a reasonable impression of being nonplussed or otherwise affected by the course of the surprise inspection thus far, Razmik gives Wenqian a nod of his chin towards the ship to overtly confirm his desire that she comply with the Sesk'vati request to have Alessia come out to join the fun, the gesture less obviously expressing his gratitude for her quick thinking and technical expertise, which appears to have saved the day.
Smiling at the Sesk'vati in charge after another Sesk'vati has suggested that the cargo manifest appears to be in order, Razmik asks in a casual tone, "Would you like to have a look around our ship as well? We're a bit eager to set out, so anything you need to do so that we can do so we're more than happy to oblige."
Wenqian and Alessia emerge from the ship not long after Ramik's question, the latter presenting the lead Sesk'vati with her documents, which are just as cleverly forged as those of the rest of the crew.

Firith'tualin shakes his head, his gut telling him that the tip about Razmik and his crew smuggling spice was utter Bantha poodoo, frowning as he says, "Not necessary. Giving Alessia's documents a cursory look, Firith hands them back to her and then returns his attention to Razmik, telling the crew's captain, Thank you for your cooperation. Go on about your business." Turning and giving his companions a nod, Firith leads the way from the landing bay.
Siolo'smoo, the third of the Sesk'vati trio, later reports the way Razmik and his crew handled the inspection to Sinya'gella, who pays him well for keeping her apprised of Sesk'vati activity pertaining to the spice trade on Ryloth.
When Razmik has an opportunity to view the contents of the datacard he was given, he will learn that the crew's destination is Vreni Island on Corellia, where the crew will be met by the agent of the buyer awaiting the shipment they are transporting.

"Always a pleasure, Razmik says cheerfully with a smile when the Sesk'vati leader says that he and his crew can get underway, internally breathing a sigh of relief now that it seems that he has managed to avoid blowing his cover or otherwise endangering his mission here on Ryloth. Once the Sesk'vati have gone, Razmik lifts a hand and, index finger raised, waves it in a circle to signal his crew to get moving. That's that then, he says in an amused tone, tossing the datacard he had been given up with a jovial flick of his wrist, catching it and saying, Let's see where we'll be going, shall we?"
As she settles into the co-pilot's seat, Alessia asks Razmik, "Think that was all for show? Some kind of test to see what we'd do?"
"Almost undoubtedly, Razmik says as he scrolls through the data on the card to see what they are being asked to do. It could have been a coincidence, of course, but you know how little stock in that sort of thing. The more interesting question, I think, is whether or not our new friends have friends among the Sesk'vati, no? Shrugging noncommittally, Razmik hands his datapad to the blonde haired Morganinan as he says, Vreni Island on Corellia. Lovely this time of year I understand. Seems our new friends have quite a bit of reach."
"The Gallucci's?"
"Doubtful. They have most of their real estate in Coronet, and tend to stick to Coronet from what I understand. Probably a smaller outfit getting a re-up. We'll see what we can see when we make the delivery. We may have to reach out to CorSec, see if they want to help us with this case."
"Does seem to be sprawling a bit. We target the supplier here, they take the dealer there?"
"Seems the most fair division of labor, doesn't it? Besides, I imagine CorSec will want to police its own backyard, no?"
"For sure, for sure," Alessia says as she begins laying in their course as Razmik continues readying their Nemesis-class patrol ship for take off. Moments later, the Gledalac is rocketing up and away from the spaceport, beginning its trip to orbit.

Brizio, after sending a brief message to Sinya'gella that consists of a pre--arranged code phrase letting her know that the smugglers passed the test with the Sesk'vati without a hitch or any indication that they are anything other than what they claim to be, turns to Dierk and then nods with his chin towards one of the tunnels that will take them from the starport and back into the city.
Dierk, reaching up with his hands to pull his shoulder length red hair into a ponytail, asks, "Sin' say what she wants us to do now?"
"Just waiting for her reply," Brizio informs his companion as they reach the guard post and, both familiar enough to the guards that they are typically allowed to pass with little more than a wave and a quick friendly exchange of greetings, continue into the city without any hassle.

As the Nemesis-class patrol ship, the Geldalac, touches down in the landing berth it has been assigned, Razmik reaches up to shut the repulsorlifts and engines down as he tells his co-pilot, "Once we deal with any inspection waiting for us, you and I will go and meet with the lovely Sinya'gella at Mala'aa's Kitchens while Armin and Wenqian stay here."
Resting her arms across the back of Razmik's seat after entering the cockpit, Wenqian, a red haired Kage, blows a rasberry and then sighs, "Booooring. Why do you and 'Les always get to do all the fun stuff while me and Armin get stuck twiddling our thumbs?"
Razmik continues with his post-flight checks as he replies, "I hadn't realized you felt so slighted, but never fear, I have an idea about how you both . . . well, really you, might occupy yourself while Alessia and I meet with our associates."
"I'll stick with bored, Wenqian says in a theatrically wary tone, until you explain further, but please do go on."
"Well, Razmik says, settling into a professorial tone that his refined Coruscanti accent only accentuates, Given that we learned when last we visited this fair planet and this very starport that our new associates almost certainly have some agreement with those that operate and stand watch over the starport, I thought it might behoove us to see if you cannot call upon your considerable slicing talents to see what you might see were you to use those skills to take a peek at the recent arrival and departure records from . . ."
Not patient enough to allow Razmik to go on at the lengths he is often want to go on, Wenqian pats the back of the chair as she stands, enthusiasm replacing the boredom in her tone now that she has been given something to do which she quite thoroughly enjoys doing, and declares at a rapid clip, "Got it boss! I'll go back a few months, cross reference what I can get my virtual hands on against the usual databases, see if any familiar names turn up, and then build a chart of their comings and goings to see if there is any pattern discernible . . ."
Waving a hand to shoo Wenqian from the cockpit, Alessia teases, "Uh huh, sounds awesome, you go do that. Chuckling with a shake of her head, Alessia finishes her part of the immediate post-flight checks, standing as she asks Razmik, You ready old man?"
Moments later, passing Armin as the Zelosian leans against a landing ramp strut to await the arrival of any inspection team that might be arriving, Razmik and Alessia make their way to Mala'aa's Kitchens, taking a seat at a booth in the rear of the establishment to await the arrival of Sinya'gella or whichever of her associates the Twi'lek chooses to send to meet with them.

Starport
It will be evident soon enough that no inspection will be forthcoming, Sinya'gella having utilized her connections to ensure that Razmik's ship, crew, and the landing bay that has been assigned to them for this particular visit are all ignored by the Sesk'vati securing the starport.
A pair of familiar faces, however, will soon pay a visit to the crew members still aboard the Gledalac, Brizio and Dierk once more called upon to deliver the cargo Razmik and his crew have been hired to transport to the starport. Each human guiding a repulsor-sled laden with locked crates, Brizio and Dierk stop at the foot of the Gledalac's boarding ramp, Dierk calling out by way of greeting, "Oi! Anyone home? I'm pretty sure you'd rather I not just leave this all just sitting out here."
Wenqian's slicing of the starport records will turn up little useful information to the Sector Rangers, given that Mazer'kairn's operation more frequently makes use of hidden bases in the desert, and has chosen the starport in Kala'uun for their dealings with Razmik only as temporary security measure to prevent them from learning anything potentially harmful to Mazer's operations. Wenqian might, however, be able to surmise that she and her shipmates are handled by Sinya'gella differently than other smugglers in Mazer's organization's employ from the fact that the vast majority of the vessels, so far as the official records are concerned, coming and going through the starport can be positively identified as legitimate commercial, military, or tourist traffic, with only a handful of ships able to be identified as possible or confirmed smugglers known as small fish in the general scheme of things - too small to be worth either the Sesk'vati or Mazer'kairn's time.
Mala'aa's Kitchens
Flanked as before by her Gamorean henchmen, Sinya'gella, a brown-skinned Darian Twi'lek, smiles as she gestures towards the chairs facing hers from across the table, inviting Razmik and Alessia, "Please, sit. After asking if either Razmik or his co-pilot would like anything to drink, Sinya says, Our business associates on Corellia were quite pleased with their delivery. Promptly delivered and everything just as safe as houses, she says with a smile, what more could one ask of a . . . courier service? Chuckling at her little joke, Sinya goes on by asking, Now that we know you can handle routine little deliveries, how would you feel about undertaking something a bit more challenging?"

After setting the Whitecloak fighter that is now hers down and securing it, Trishna had taken a few moments to walk without aim around Kala'uun's starport to get a feel for it and those within it. Overall she finds that Kala'uun has a more untamed feel than Lessu, akin to a frontier town as opposed to a metropolitan city, a place less civilized and more lawless despite the obvious Sesk'vati presence she can see.
Pausing briefly to admire a Nemesis-class patrol ship, Trishna then turns to make her way to Mala'aa's Kitchens where she is to meet with the Sesk'vati Elav'passik has sent her to meet with so that she can aid them in their investigation into a criminal organization. As she enters Mala'aa's Kitchens, Trishna cannot help but smile unseen beneath the veil she wears with a headscarf so that only her eyes are visible when she spies none other than Sinya'gella, whom she had been informed was one of the primary suspects in the ongoing investigation. Trishna's clothing, loose-fitting and of a pale purple hue that compliments the darker purple of her headscarf, is not out of place on a predominantly desert world, and as she does not openly carry the lightsaber hilt that is now hers by virtue of belonging to the woman who's name and occupation she has assumed as her own, there is nothing to betray that she is, or at least plays the role of, a Jedi.
Trusting that Elav has given the Sesk'vati she is to meet with a way to identify her, Trishna walks to the bar, close but not to close to where Sinya'gella sits with her Gamoreans and the humans she is speaking with, and orders a drink while trying to subtly overhear what she can of their conversation.

Armin, walking to the foot of the boarding ramp after hearing Dierk shouting, greets him and Brizio with a grin, "I hope you weren't waiting too long. Nodding with his chin towards the cargo Brizio and Dierk have brought with them, he asks, You need any help getting those aboard?"
Wenqian, not wanting to leave Armin alone even though she is fairly confident that there is no reason to be concerned about any foul play, joins the Zelosian at the foot of the boarding ramp, thumbs hooked into her belt so that her hands rest near the DL-22 blaster pistols holstered on her hips, asks Dierk, "Where are we delivering these too?"
Taking a seat, Alessia following suit, Razmik lifts a hand with a shake of his head to decline the offer of a drink, cocks an eyebrow in surprise when Sinya'gella asks about the possibility of him and his crew doing something other than making a delivery to Vreni Island as he had anticipated they would be asked. "That would depend, he says with a smile after deciding there is only one way to find out what the Twi'lek has in mind, greatly on the nature of the challenge you had in mind. We rather enjoyed our time on the island, he adds to see how Sinya responds to the subtle suggestion that they make a second trip, and would certainly not be adverse to making a second visit. With the Jedi and CorSec having set up on Vreni Island, Razmik would prefer that his crew be sent there so that Sinya's business partners on the island might be followed so that higher ranking members of the criminal organization might be identified. Not sounding too interested, Razmik asks to try and find another way to ensure that the investigation on Vreni Island can go forward, Or do you rotate the crews making your deliveries?"

Mala'aa's Kitchens
Lifting an index finger and wagging it with a coy smile, Sinya scolds Razmik, "My, my, aren't you just a curious little thing? Tapping her index finger against her pursed lips, she narrows her eyes and says pointedly, You aren't being paid to concern yourselves with anything other than the wheres and whens of your deliveries, which you'll know when I want you to know them without you ever having to ask. Smiling as though to suggest the matter of how she conducts her business has been settled and will not come up agar in, Sinya changes the subject, beginning by saying, Oh, I'm sure you'll find yourselves back on Vreni Island in time, so don't worry about that. As for the challenge I mentioned, I'd need you to go somewhere and pick something up for me, that's all. Well, she tilts her head to the side as though something has just occurred to her, there is a chance, just an ever so tiny one, that it might be a little more complicated. You see, the last crew I sent to pick some of the something up from the somewhere ran into some . . . complications. Nothing they couldn't extricate themselves from, with a little, shall we say, heated exchanging of, she mimes firing a gun with her left hand, things between the crew and the local constabulary. So you see, there might be some, well, hard feelings to . . . deal with. Maybe, she says with a dismissive shrug of her shoulders. I trust you and your crew can handle dealing with hard feelings, if there are any of course? Or do I need to find another crew more willing to deal with that sort of thing and get back to you when I have work for a less bold crew?"
Starport
Stepping back from the repulsor-sleds, Brizio and Dierk make it evident they have no intention of helping load the cargo. Brizio, less sociable than his companion, leans against the wall near the exit from the landing bay and appears to study the nails of his left hand absently as Dierk tells Wenqian, "Don't know. Not unkindly, he explains, Way it usually works is Sin gives the captain of the crew the details on a datacard when she meets with them, like she did last time. Turning to leave, he looks over a shoulder and adds, Ryma'allesh," before, Brizio falling into step behind him, leaving the landing bay.

"Point taken," Razmik tells Sinya with a lop-sided grin when his attempt to pry is met with an obvious refusal accompanied by what he imagines will be the only warning he gets regarding the Twi'lek's policy on the matter of being asked for any more information than one is given, and lifts his hands in front of him to convey that he has no intention of repeating his mistake.
When, in her obtuse and not particularly enlightening way, Sinya explains what she wants from him and his crew, Razmik nods when she has finished, resting his chin on his hand as he ponders the matter. Though the task she has in mind appears to be one that will not help the investigation into the criminal organization's dealings on Corellia, Razmik finds himself intrigued all the same. The fact that Sinya's group has troubles somewhere with law enforcement could be an opportunity, Razmik thinks, to not only learn where else the group has operations, but also to learn anything the law enforcement in that area knows.
"No need, Razmik assures SInya after deciding that he has little to lose in seeing where things with her request leads, which also will hopefully mean the Twi'lek trusts him and his crew all the more, to look for another crew. We're as bold as can be, he adds cheerily, and grins as he asks, So, where is it we'll be needing to be bold then?"
Waving goodbye with exaggerated enthusiasm, Armin tells Brizio and Dierk, "Ryma'whatever to you guys too! See ya next time! Looking over at Wenqian, he says, The back and forth conversation with those guys is what keeps me coming back, really."
Walking towards one of the repulsorsleds with a laugh, Wenqian says, "Scintillating hardly covers it, right? C'mon, she goes on, let's get these aboard and stored."

Mala'aa's Kitchens
"Oh, how lovely, Sinya drawls with an amused smile when Razmik consents to undertake the more daring assignment she had hoped he and his crew would agree to. Tsking when Razmik asks where it is he will be sent, Sinya chides him, Don't make me question my judgement about your cleverness already; you should know better than to think discussing details here where anyone might hear is something I'm likely to do, shouldn't you? Taking a datacard and sliding it across the table to Razmik, she says, All you need to know is on that. After you've been bold, you are to deliver what you retrieve while being bold along with what was delivered to your ship while we've been chatting to the location included among all you need to know. Standing and lifting a hand to wave farewell, Sinya smiles prettily as she says, Handle this well and maybe next I'll see that you get to revisit Vreni Island soon. Ta ta," and then waves a finger over her shoulder to have her Gamorean henchmen follow her as she makes for an exit.

Listening to Sinya'gella's meeting with the humans, smugglers of some kind given what is discussed, Trishna can easily understand why the Sesk'vati consider the Twi'lek clever; nothing Sinya says to the humans is incriminating, her words clearly carefully chosen to dance around the actual subject being discussed. Frustratingly for Trishna, Sinya never calls either of the humans by their names, making identifying them, at least for the moment, a daunting if not impossible task. The Sesk'vati may or may not know that Sinya's employers distribute their product to Corellia, something that may be worth following up on, and Trishna makes a mental note to pass that on when the Sesk'vati she has come to meet with arrives.
Watching Sinya'gella and her Gamorean associates get up to leave, Trishna briefly considers following them, but abandons the idea as she imagines there will be other opportunities to do so. Swirling the contents of her still full glass, Trishna continues to listen in on the humans Sinya'gella had met with in case they say anything useful now that they are alone as she waits for the Sesk'vati she is here to meet with.

Mala'aa's Kitchens
Shiri'eyan, a yellow skinned female Tolian Twi'lek who has been sent to meet with Trishna, is not dressed in the Sesk'vati uniform as she does not want to compromise either herself or the Jedi she approaches after Sinya'gella has left with her Gamorrean guards.
Stepping up to the bar beside Trishna, Shiri makes it known that she is the Sesk'vati sent to meet with her by asking in Basic, "How is Elav these days? Glancing towards the exit Sinya had used, she says, I'm guessing you already know about a bit about Sinya? Did you overhear anything interesting? Ah, I should have asked if you want to talk here, or go someplace else?"

Razmik and Alessia do not linger long after Sinya has left, leaving Mala'aa's for their ship shortly after the Twi'lek and her guards depart.
As they make their way to their ship, Razmik broods over what little progress he feels they have made overall thusfar where learning more of the spice ring's players on Ryloth is concerned. They could, Razmik considers, bring Sinya in for questioning, but he feels certain that she would be willing to face a prison sentence rather than betray her employer or employers. If only, Razmik thinks with a rueful shake of his head, they could be more confident of who in the Sesk'vati they could trust; where he and his crew need to tread carefully in order to maintain their cover, the Sesk'vati would be able to more easily set up surveillance on Sinya or her minions to learn who they report to or where on Ryloth the spice is mined or refined. Telling himself to be patient, Razmik sets the matter aside as they reach their ship and board it.
Handing the datacard to Alessia as they walk up the boarding ramp, Razmik says, "Start prepping for liftoff and see where Sinya wants us to be bold, and then heads aft to the cargo hold to see what it is they are smuggling now. Opening one of the crates they will be delivering, not surprised to see that it is spice, Razmik asks Armin, All cataloged I trust?"
"Cataloged and included in the draft of the mission report, sir, Armin confirms. We know where we're delivering it?"
"Not yet, and not Corellia either. It seems the operation is even larger than we thought. Taris, Corellia, Kessel, Ryloth, he lists the worlds they know of which the spice ring operates mining operations or distributes to, and who knows where else."
Having worked with Razmik long enough to recognize when he is feeling overwhelmed, Armin claps him on the shoulder and says, "We'll find out soon, right sir? And more pieces of the puzzle means a better idea of the bigger picture, right? And the better idea of the bigger picture . . ."
