Jehengir cleared his throat with a small cought, in order to make their appareance known.
"That's all, commander Vengelbud"
He said, while handing a datapad to the Twi'lek, a flying ace and commander of quite a few pilots in the Star Destroyer's fighter wing. He turns to face the medic, both hands clasped behind his back. He was lanky and tall, his eyes were inscrutable and cold, red and without eyelids, almost bug-like. The admiral wore a long tactical coat with the identification of an admiral over the chest, a badge that still followed the code of the Gallactic Alliance; the worn coat also had a starbird on the right shoulder. He had no blaster or any weapon on himself.
"The medical officer... you're welcomed into the Oathkeeper's bridge. I'm grateful for your presence, Doctor Jameroo"
Ostrenis' eyes twitch for a second, like examining the woman.
"I called you here because we have thousands of refugees and I, to be honest, must be sure that they're well handled and thus wished to meet the woman in charge"

It's because they're compared to other support ships, not fighters, that's why it's a 2 and not a 1.

A white MonCal mal appeared with a couple guardsmen in Gallactic Alliance navy uniforms, all wore blue and gray bands in their arms, signifying their new allegiance to the Coallition.
"Doctor Jameroo, I greet you"
He offered her a large, fish-like hand.
"Lieutenant Commander Jehengir. Come with me, please"
The hangar bay was filled with many different shapes and sizes of starfighters, including a squadron of TIE Interceptors, K-wings, B-wings and X-wings. There also was an old freighter, Ostrenis' own ship. The MonCal stepped aside to let the doctor board the elevator, then he keyed the bridge on the pad.
"Don't let yourself be influenced by the harshness of his voice and his cold manners, the admiral is way softer than he likes to pretend. He genuinelly cares"
Said the alien, getting his white dome of a head close to the doctor's ear and whispering in it. He smiled, the small barbs in his chin twitching. The door slided to reveal the typical bridge of an Imperial Star Destroyer, save the admiral had installed a tactical command chair, like those in the bigger MonCal ships. There was a very prominent New Republic sigil painted on the floor. The crew pits were rather empty, as most men and women weren't on duty. The admiral was standing with his back turned to them, talking to a Twi'lek woman in a jumpsuit.

"Shield generators cappacity"
"Capped at 72% admiral"
"Okay. Call in the technicians. We have to reroute power. Send a request to the shipyards, we'll need their help figuring out the leak of power and repairing the conduits. Go on with..."
Ostrenis was looking down to the crew pit, where Jehangir was looking over the shoulder of a sargeant technician, reading the full reports of the ship's status on his console.
"Status of octuple batteries"
"Only 5 fully functional, 2 remain inoperative and the last one has a faulty targeting system"
"Tell the Corellians to send us two new turbolasers of proper caliber, Star Destroyer-class. I'm not going undergunned to battle and this ship diserves nothing less. Next, replace the whole circuitry of the last one and run through some simulation and tests. Levels A-132 to 324"
"Understood, sir, sending the request and the command"
"Fighter wings"
"The Eyebalss have suffered substantial loses. The commander reports that the fighters should be replaced entirely, the floating dust in Metellos damaged the wings and scrambled the engines. The others were able to mantain their numbers, they're in surprisingly good shape, including the Dying Suns"
The numbers ran through the screen. The reports of the commanders were precise and on point and certainly, they had gone through the skirmishes and battles surprisingly well. However, some of the squadrons had been replenished with the fallen Crix Madine's crews and surviving fighters.
"Alright. Engines. Hyperdrive and sublight"
"Fully functional and primed, sir. Maybe hyperdrive needs some very minor and unexpensive adjustments"
"Good. Inform of the rest of the fleet situation"
...
The checks had taken most part of the morning, the Oathkeeper drydocked over Corellia. Renzo Ostrenis stood on the bridge's aft, looking through the windows to the bursting activity in the shipyards.
"Admiral, technicians want to know what to do about the red markings and the sigils"
"This was a flagship of the Gallactic Alliance, I would not get rid of the fiery phoenix that is our right, willingly, if it wasn't a necessity. This is, first and foremost, a ship of the Republic. However, such are the troubled times we live in. Send the decals we were given over by the Corellians, their own sigil is to replace our current on both sides"
"Aye, sir"
He watched how some remotedly-controlled drones, similar to those employed in firefighting, were spraying gray painting over predetermined areas, covering up the paintjob that made the old Imperial Star Destroyer unique. Ostrenis had no qualms with his foes knowing when exactly he was coming for them, this was a predatorial, threatening manouver, that was the sole purpose of painting his flagship red. But, now, he was restoring the destroyer's former appareance. The twin sigils that once brightly covered part of the ship's surface were mostly faded and barely distinguishable over the Oathkeeper's surface. Now they were being covered up, gone under layers of new paint, something the admiral considered shameful, but it was mandatory, the high command had been explicit in its demands: no Gallactic Alliance or Republican symbols had to be displayed openly. He sighed and walked away from the windows, hands clasped behing his back. However, in the bridge, in front of his command chair, there was still a bright sigil painted on the floor, the Corellians had said nothing about the ship's interior, so he indulged himself by keeping the roaring phoenix in place... He walked past it, to the elevator, the crew looking at him from their pits.
...
"Renzo, the Corellian authorities have forwarded the data"
The voice sounded grave in the comm, the booming voice of the Mon Calamari was always distinctive, a voice that was made to be heard under water and not in the steel-laced walls of a destroyer. Ostrenis was in his private quarters, quite austere, but well-furbished.
"Thanks, friend"
He then proceeded to review the information. He had requested to know about the available ships for conscription in the fleet and their current status. He needed more ships if his flotilla was to be ready for battle, the current being slightly underpowered against what warlords or Imperials could field. The assortment of ships was... eclectic. There were many Corellian ships, including some of battle cruiser and destroyer status, but he had always thought that they should stick to making corvettes and light ships, for their more powerful models were either not enough or cumbersome in his eyes. So, he skipped those after a rather quick review. Then, things became more interesting when he reached MonCal designs: their shielding alone and their carefully designed estructures made them worthy ships.
"Ah, here"
He openned a subfolder. Dawn of Tranquility. MC90. Powerful ship. It had been drydocked for three months now, after reaching Corellia in a very sorry estate. It had survived an untimely encounter with an enemy fleet on its way here, but also the battle over Dac. She's a survivor. Desertion, battle and other factors had left it mostly crew-less, arriving barely operational to the system. It didn't even have a proper captain. Commander Rago Cosollis... yes. I think I do remember him, even if vaguely; he was asigned to Anoat sector. Force be with him, whenever he is now. This is a fitting ship. And it didn't have an asigned destination as of yet. The Duros allowed himself a slight smile as he sent the request for the ship to be transferred. Interestingly, the ship still had extensive tripulation quarters in the old MonCal style, with water tanks and pools.

What about this one? I still prefer the Phoenix one that I voted for, but this could be a compromise and an option. It's a Star Wars sigil, after all. Kinda looks like two conjoined c's facing each other and the stars could be Corellia, Fondor and the other founding systems.

That one above is also me, I just forgot to switch between characters (facepalm).
So, what I said in the previous message, a vote for Graemon's sigil.

I think that isn't enough reason to use the symbol of Orisa (XD). And, anyway, our own PM usually says we're some kind of spiritual successor of the GA, so refusing to use that flamboyant and great sigil isn't a good idea, imo.

I'm like the fifth or seventh or whatever, hahaha.
Anyway, I like what LM suggested a lot. Also if you decide for that last one I have to remove the background and polish it. I think that as a successor estate to the GA and the NR we should use a derivate sigil, because it shows the roots and the claims of this Coallition. Plus the phoenix is a very old and revered symbol at this point. And the one he suggested just looks stunning, the stars could end being the coallition's funding planets and systems.

"I'm not denying the power of the Imperial fleet... they're pretty persuasive. Diplomacy in a pretty harsh package"
Granted the admiral to the baron.
"I will have some proper rest. My crew would appreciate if some accomodations are prepared for them in the planet's surface, maybe even some barracks. They're weary from staying aboard and being on orbit for such a prolongued time would make them no good. I have a substantial amount of Mon Calamari and Quarren, so I will need somewhere with a mass of water nearby...."
He said, scratching his chin again.
"Anyway, no need to bother you with those details, I will hammer them with your aides, Prime Minister. When you have instructions for me, let me know, I'm more than willing than serve the Coallition, in whatever cappacity you deem necessary. And Dr Jameroo is more than welcome on my ships. I have no questions, just my wholehearted thank you, Prime Minister Starmane"

MG-100 StarFortress SF-17Ship Class: Support. Ship Role: Anti capital ship, siege bomber, heavy bomber. Ship Length: 29.67 meters. Agility (A): 1 Defensive (D): 2 Offensive (O): 5 Speed (S): 2 Special Gear: 1 (Modular bombing magazine) Description:2 Repeating laser canons (EM-1919), 6 Medium laser canons, 1.048 proton bombs. The MG-100 StarFortress SF-17 was a heavy bomber manufactured by Slayn & Korpil, with six sublight engines and an integrated hyperdrive. Dating to the times of the New Republic, back when it was fighting the various Imperial Remnants, it was conceived as a land base mauler, capable of breaking Imperial defenses, crippling their strongholds and, subsequently, making them easier to capture. However, it was both expensive and cumbersome. It received an extensive civic use, mainly for mining purposes; and sometimes, to carry unexpected tasks, like firefighting. No matter their use, they're, and were conceived as, flying fortresses, carrying six laser canons and even two repeating guns in a cockpit at the bottom, able to mantain an effective barrage of fire to keep enemy fighters away. Still, their flight is slow and ungainly and they require a sizable and skilled starfighter escort to ensure their delivery of the cargo. The said cargo are 1.048 magnetized proton bombs that "drop" in the emptyness of space, being attracted to the surface of enemy battleships. Their powerful payload can wreck even large dreadnoughts, if hiting weak spots, but the ships themselves are quite slow and thus very difficult of maniobrate properly; they're exceedingly fragile if not handled well. The repeating guns and several laser canons provide enough defense from behind and below, but are rather cumbersome and uneffective fighting threats from above, where the ship has no armament at all: they relly heavily on their starfighter escorts and flying in close-knit groups so their range of fire is aumented, while their barrages keep enemy fighters at bay. Like a sword with no hilt, they must be handled carefully in order to be effective, but it's still a powerful weapon to add to any arsenal, specially considering it can also act as a siege bomber in planetary warfare.

Ostrenis sipped. This was good for a change.
"I don't believe that a people who have bled so profusely for the Rebellion and the Republic will be swayed over by the Empire, that cannot be"
He said, with a frown.
"Those territories... Rhommamool is a mining planet, that could be valuable as a supplier of raw ore for naval construction. Dressel is close to Bothawui... Indeed, indeed. Controlling the systems in or adjacent to the Corellian run is a priority and it seems your expansion targets are aligned in that regard, Prime Minister"
The red eyes stare at the map.
"Yes, yes... you have my forces and my crews at your disposal. Certainly. As soon as we replenish our numbers we can strike at a location of your choice"

"Certainly, you did a good job, first time I saw these fighters"
The Duros reminded himself of checking the fighers' specs, maybe he could incoporate some of them to replace the lost squadrons.
"Time and time again life has told me to not get over enthusiastic, specially with the current estate of things. But it's a relief to not be on the hunt for the time being"
The admiral leans forward again.
"Of course, it was merely a form of speaking. No conquerors but liberators. Everyone must know a fair and representative government. The fall and dissolution of the senatorial system was a big loss, the authocratic ways of the First Order bring more harm than good and many will soon realize that on their own, or I expect as much. Dissention will arise in due time. Another rebellion, or many"
He studies the holographic shapes.
"Certainly... warlordism is an unavoidable plague these days. But that also means they're easier targets, while imposing they can be brought down without such a strenous effort on our side"
He leans back.
"You have my ships and my people. Once my flotilla it's back to shape I will be up to any task you seem fitting to deliver upon my shoulders. We have to bring hope to the southern fringes of the Galaxy. And there're systems whose support would be invaluable, like Bothawui: their spies, ships and just sheer power would be a great asset"

"I had no idea of such fighters being into production. I believed it was something else entirely. But, of course, there is no way I should or could know"
He studied the hologram, the wavering blue light flickering in his bug-like eyes.
"Certainly, could be a good choice, specially since you won't have the need to modify the hangar's racks that launch the TIEs, an element that I always found quite useful to give the fighters some momentum. I use myself two TIE squadrons combined with good old sturdy Gallactic Alliance ships. The strong point here is that we can combine multiple elements in our advantage, while the monolithic and uniformed nature of the Empire is less adaptable. The figther wings of the Alliance have always proved to be the cornerstone of most our past victories"
The admiral scratched his chin, pensive.
"You need to integrate more systems, be more daring, or either the Imperial propaganda and fear will sway them over. Do you, per chance, have any planets and sectors in mind?"
He raises both hands.
"Sorry if I'm intruding, I have no right to ask these questions, but the rush of excitement gets me carried over. You have supplies, power bases, good shipyards, a considerable population in all your sectors and capable personnel: this is a solid start to take over the galaxy or at least over a sizable part of it. From my travels and later campaigns I can point out that the southern rims of the Galaxy have a weak imperial presence. You, or better, we, could capitalize on it"

"Well, surely the Imperial techmen were diligent in scrapping records and removing information from the ship's servers. But, it was a sloppy job then, as it was both destructive and too slow, it would have been quite more useful otherwise"
He waved a hand, disappointed at the seemingly incompetent work of the operational agents in charge.
"Simple often works best, the Alliance always had good fighters to pulverize any eyeballs the Imperials could field. I myself always favored even the older models, with slight tweaks they work wonders, I assure you. The only thing a fighter needs is a capable pilot and a good astromech, some of the best aces we ever got didn't relly on a state-of-the-art ship. Posibly those TIEs are too expensive to manufacture, compared to a solid pair of squadrons of B-Wings and Crossfires working and flying in unison"

"It's a shame, it could have been very useful, but the scorched earth tactic is something these... fiends, have gotten used to. At least the frame will be of use and the very shape instills fear"
He examinated the ship closely.
"A fitting ship to rally around. It does its job both as a carrier and a mauler, like any Star Destroyer"
He himself was so fond of his darling, the red ISD he called ship and home.
"And the symbolic value of fielding a converted enemy ship against themselves or other factions cannot be ignored. It has been like this since almost two centuries ago, when General Calrissian led the Emancipator after Endor. Or General Antilles with the Lusankya... Sorry for the rant. Thanks for the eagerness to help, baron"

"One never knows, you could have followed the example of old Baron Fel of yore"
It might have been a joke, but it was lost in the alien's very cold demeanour.
"I'm thankful for your good wishes. Doctor Jameroo must be a capable individual, I hope she will have enough time to meet me on the Oathkeeper when she comes to pick the refugees there. And if you're indeed in charge of the shipyards you must, of course, come to me, for I have forces to replenish"
Ostrenis' eyes shimmer with authentic excitement.
"You captured a Resurgent? That's incredible. They don't usually end in the losing side, neither are they easy to capture, they can carry up to one stormtrooper legion... I had never seen one in the hands of any Republican faction"
He leans forward to read the especifications in aurabesh and the various data displays.
"You should forward the internal data on the ship to me and my commodore, knowing this ship intimately could be very useful. Like it could lead to us finding weak spots or flaws in its design, even if Imperial have gotten more careful with time... that's certainly of use in a battlefront"

The Duros' eyes shine with a mix of relief and excitement. Again he would have a full fighting for and, what was possibly more important, the flame that was the true reason to keep fighting had rekindled with a spark of hope.
"She's working towards a noble and hopeful goal. The captain will have the aid of my crewmembers, I don't wish that the entire families we brought are divided and they should be settled taking their origins into consideration: they will surely have a smoother transition if they live between neigbours, so to speak"
His fingers pitter-patter the chair's arm.
"That's a quite generous proposal, Prime Minister. I will have to work around with what your shipyards might be able to produce and which ships are available. I don't wish to strain your resources beyond what's reasonable. Maybe I will consult with some of your aides in that regard, I like to take matters personally. Also, we do have displaced personnel but might need fitting individuals to compliment the new crews, properly. My men and women will examinate the candidates your people deem worthy of serving in the fleet"
The admiral turns, now for the first time, to look at the newcomer.
"Baron? Is that a Tapani title? I know Fondorians are part of this Coallition. Or this title hails from the Imperial aristocracy?"

"I cannot, in good faith, to remain idle while the galaxy is ravaged and torn by war. Me and my crew, like Loth-wolves, will make sure the Imperials cannot find a moment of peace"
Assured the admiral. His cold red eyes looked determined, even if his alien eyes were hard to read.
"We will leave our refugees in your custody, but after some well-diserved rest the Oathkeeper and my other ships are willing to fight for the Coallition. We could spark another rebellion..."
He leaned back on the chair. Sipping some water, wishing it was the famed Corellian whiskey instead.
"But I fear my current flotilla is hardly up to fighting size, considering the Imperial's current might. Two Nebulon-Bs -one of which is a medical frigate, not too heavily armed-, four Blockade runners and my own flagship might not be enough. I'm afraid we could need some replenishment, Prime Minister, if you truly want us to be a sizable threat to the Imperial assets and borders"
