The cold eyes of the admiral scanned the room, maybe just something he took from years of continuous warfare, rather than just suspicacy on his side. But, clearly, he was measuring the Prime Minister, like a green-blooded predator. Both hands behind his back, he motioned to take one of the empty seats, his bulbous head tilting as he did, as some sort of respectful salute.
"I'm thankful for your hospitality, Prime Minister. Took us some time to cross hostile territory to come here, we even lost a good cruiser on the way. But I thought our greater chances of survival and progress laid with you"
The Crix Madine had been a good ship, but a Resurgent annihilated in the proximity of Onderon, were they were took out of hyperspace by a gravitational mass.

The freighter had landed where indicated and the admiral proceeded to the meeting point established in the datapack, wearing his campaign uniform and acompanied by two, highly symbolic, GA guardsmen, wearing modified plastoid armor with red markings. Renzo was almost too eager to meet whoever was in charge, but he knew how to rein back his emotions; furthermore, he was already too disillusioned about how the galaxy worked these days and little relieved his mind from the burdens of command. At least he hoped that his office still had some regard among the self-styled successor estate to the Galactic Alliance. Force be with us.

"The tripulation of the fleet send their kind regards and heartful thanks. We will dock in the earnest and touch surface"
He turns to one of the comm officers.
"Send them the specifications and codes of my freighter, I shall pilot myself"
The Duros nodded to the commodore.
"You shall have command in my absence"
"Sir, we shall prepare your escort"
"Of course. Commander Vin Taser and sarge Bargus are always a welcomed company"
He replied, formulaic and dry. More willing to preserve the appearance of normality brining a couple former GA guardsmen than actually needing the said bodyguards.
The fleet took a leisurely pace to the drydock, for the anchored ships moved slow and one of the Nebulons was basically limping, the engine slightly faltering after the last jumps in the starlane to Corellia. The ISD-II was sitting proudly in its place, brightly painted in red, albeit already fading, including a battered Alliance's phoenix, blurred by blasterfire. The other ships docked the best they could regarding their current status. Some of the ships, transports and medical frigate included, carried a sizable number of refugees, looking for a safe haven. Jehangir and the Oathkeeper's bridge's crew send a datapack to the Corellian authorities, detailing the fleet's numbers, specs and current necessities. Not too unhappy to finally land for a very long time, even for a Duros' standards, the admiral headed for the main ventral hangar, where his personal ship, the Restorer, awaited, with the two guards awaited calmly for the Duros to board and initiate take off.

"Send a message forward, using the codes befitting an admiral of the Alliance"
The said admiral was standing on the bridge, right in the aft, looking through the transparisteel windows. Before, as announced by the sensors, laid the heart of Corellia's system and, it seemed now, the budding remnant of the Gallactic Alliance. He was a ragged Duros, his hard eyes staring at the emptyness of space around the ship, with gleaming stars and starways covering the horizon. He looked tired, weary, but still driven by purpose. The crew pits were bursting with activity, all the machinery fully functional and at the peak of their power levels, in a record time after leaving hyperspace. Renzo always had favored eficiency. The crewsmen and women were of an eclectic sort, combining many alien races with humans, with would have looked off-place when the Oathkeeper was still an Imperial ship.
"Renzo Ostrenis, Admiral of the former Gallactic Alliance, speaking from the Oathkeeper on behalf of GAF93-03"
That was the official codename designating his fighting force in the old times, but the battered flotilla coming to the system was almost half it was before the fall of the Alliance. Ships had been lost in battles and skirmishes, blown to pieces by the enemy in several corners of this merciless galaxy. And some which remained were quite battered, like the Nebulon-B Companion, badly crippled when it defended its twin, the medical frigate Merciful, from a fateful encounter with a couple Pellaeons, that had almost proved fatal, a week past.
"Send it through the proper channels"
"Of course, admiral"
Said a dutiful togruta. Despite everyone wore the Alliance's uniform everyone sported a red band on the arm, signifying their allegiance to the Duros, who had kept their force together despite the troubled times. They mimicked the own ship they were tripulating, a retrofited Imperial-II, partly covered in red, though part of it looked burn and scorched from blasterfire and missile impacts. Still, no-one would mistake the Oathkeeper for a harmless ship, and it was up to date in ordnance and armament and an Imperial, no matter what, always was a force to be reckoned with. The flotilla, once comprising many ships, now only had the Oathkeeper, the twin Nebulons and four Blockade runners, one of which was in a pretty bad shape, anchored to other two and used more as another hospital and refugee ship. There had been substantial loses in this war, but at least most his commanding officers had remained more less unscathed, physically speaking. His albino MonCal commodore -and personal friend and companion-, Gallus Jehengir, was overseeing the reports of the fleet after leaving hyperspace, the fuel levels, ammunition, status of the wound and sick, etc.
Let's hope we did find a safe haven, at last.

So, my character joins the coalition, Renzo Ostrenis. Just so you know, a typically ragged admiral, GA, with the usual political savvy.

Some cheers erupted among the officers in the pits, promptly silenced by the admiral's stern, unforgiving gaze.
"We have much to overcome still, save your joy for later"
He said with a gesture of his bony hand. The ship being torn to pieces was quite a sight to behold.
"All fire to that target!"
Commanded admiral Ostrenis, pointing at the Lestari. The Nebulons moved forward, trying to flank the enemy ships from the left, while the Star Destroyer tilted its bow to better open fire on the remaining Victory.
"Send our corvettes against the enemy. They have to shield our own, as soon as possible"
The fire blockade runners swiftly turned their bulbous heads towards their opposing counterparts, openning a salvo of turbolasers against the closest ships. The Scythe cruiser wa badly mauled, but still managed to open fire on one of the assaulting ships, unleashing its potent forward batteries against the Vindicator assaulted by the bombers. The admiral looked as the holographic ships moved across the board, data and other lectures constantly appearing on the screens around the tactical holoboard.
"The Madine won't held much longer, order Commander Sundu to disengage. Tell the ShaShore to open fire against the closest Vindicator and cover the Madine's retreat"
"Yes sir! The Madine says their frontal deflectors can hold a little and their fighter compliment is still in good shape"
The admiral nodded. The bridge of Ostrenis' ship was a well-oiled machine, everyone knew their place and worked in unison. So many species working with the same goal and in a coordinated effort. Such was the beauty of warfare, the artistry achieved through collaboration, the many beings breathing in unison to man a ship as large as the Oathkeeper, from engineers to gunners. And everything was under Renzo's sole command. He looked at the blinking, holographic shape of the Interdictor. Renzo cried out a last order, before waiting for events to unfold:
"Ion fire on the Interdictor. Now"

One transport was quickly blown into atoms, the empty and scantly armed transport stood little chance against concentrated fire; the second transport duly attempts to retreat from enemy fire, as the fleets were now close enough to exchange full barrages. However, as it was trying to disengage a well-aimed shot brought down the engine, while a second blast detonated the reactor and blew the ship. The Crix Madine held the ground quite ably, only suffering moderate damage in the exchange of volleys, its turbolaser lateries hadn't been disabled.
Two nimble corvettes, which had seen their share of fighting, the Acrobat and the Mercurial, were sent to reinforce the flank, followed by the Pride of Duro and Dying Suns X-wing squadrons to beat the enemy fighters to splinters, joining the dogfight. The X-wings were fairly superior to what the enemy could have mustered and the corvettes were truly effective shooting down fighters with their fast-firing guns and flak cannons, and they would halt the enemy fighters' unrelenting advance towards the Nebulon-Bs.
"Open fire. Full salvo on the Victory hit by the Madine. Blast them"
The heavy turbolaser batteries, including the octuple-barrelled ordnance, open fire, igniting the pitch blackness of space with red and green bolts of shimmering energy. The Star Destroyer was unleashing his impresive firepower on the opposing ship, expecting to disable or damage the ship significantly. In the meanwhile, the ShaShore and the Scythe return fire to their aggressors. The Nebulons start firing on their own, focusing their firepower on the opposing Victory cruiser, who hadn't yet be targeted by anyone. And the remaining three corvettes followed the Star Destroyer suit, unleashing their guns against the very same Victory who had already suffered some fire by the Madine.
"We have to relieve our cruiser. Send the Twin Tails and the Stormbirds. They have to hit the closest Vindicator"
"Orders sent, sir"
The bombers fearlessly crossed space, their wings deployed, their full firepower unfolded against a single cruiser. The Duros admiral was quite fond of the Twin Tails, which had served him in the Spirit of Neimodia, several years ago, before he was promoted to fleet admiral.

The results of the scans arrived soon enough. Two Victory cruisers and Immovilizer and minor ships. Not an imperial fleet of entity.
"Deploy the fighter screens"
Commanded the admiral.
"Place the transports in the arranged spots"
"Yes sir!"
The old Rebel transports, less valuable, placed themselves covering with their resilient hulls the larger flagship, while the rest of the fleet positioned itself.
"Everyone, follow the battle orders. Take positions"
Said the Admiral, orders being sent to the cruisers commanders' who both followed the pre-arranged battle plans. The Scythe covered a flank of the Star Destroyer, reinforced by the ShaShore, while three Nebulons guarded the other flank. The corvettes, in the meanwhile, arranged themselves before the flagship, provinding an invaluable screen of anti-fighter firepower, as their smaller weapons would target the smaller crafts easier than the large turbolasers.
"Everyone ready for combat, sir"
Said the well-known voice of Jehengir, who had taken position in the bridge. He was the main link between the admiral and the rest of the chain of command.
"Tell the Madine to open fire!"
The heavy batteries of the Scythe battlecruiser had a longer ranger than any other ships in the fleet. The ISD had also modern ordnance, but it was heavier. The Crix Madine started bombarding the closest Victory cruiser, while the fleet approached the enemy formation in good speed. The fighters screens had been deployed, led in the center by nimble Corellian fighter Restorer and the Red Eyeballs, a retrofitted TIE Interceptor squadron.
"Frontal deflector shields at full cappacity. Don't overheat our guns, fire when and only when at range. Then, we do a full salvo. Focus on the Victory closest to the Madine"
"Understood sir"
The admiral walked up and down the walkway, while the officers hurried themselves around him and in the pits.
"Let's bring hell to them. Brace yourself, this has just started"

The stars were a blurred mosaic. The ship, like an arrowhead, was swiftly crossing space in lightspeed. Admiral Ostrenis stood on the command walkway, calmly, staring through the bridge’s windows. The crew pit, once only manned by humans, was now brimming with a dozen different species, from MonCals to Ithorians. His first officer, an albino MonCal, crossed the walkway:
“Sir, we’re already close to leave hyperspace. We’re reaching destination, only few minutes away”
The Duros admiral nodded, pensive. The domed, pale, spotted head of Lieutenant Jehangir nodded in turn.
“We must be ready for an eventual battle, leaving hyperspace prepared. We don’t know which kind of surprises has Brentaal saved for us”
“All systems ready, sir. Deflectors, turbolasers and fighter wings”
“Good”
He wavered a hand, dismissively, the lieutenant leaving to resume his duties. The bridge was in a buzz of activity, from the communications officer to the helmsman and the gunners. Renzo had decided to strike Brentaal. Caamas’ allegiance remained undecided, like some of the nearby systems, and a victory on the sector could be instrumental either in gaining the sympathies of those planets or in the negotiations’ table. Breental itself sat in two important hyperlanes and was an important trade hub. If its defenses were weak enough, the action carried over by the fleet under his command could prove to be invaluable.
“Closing by…”
Said an officer. Suddenly, the blurred stars were replaced by the black nothingness of space, the darkness only broken by the shimmering stars in the horizon. The fleet left hyperspace in unison. The flagship, ISDII Oathkeeper, was surrounded by five Corellian corvettes, three Nebulon-B frigates, two bulky transports and two new additions, the Scythe battlecruiser Crix Madine and the ShaShore frigate, the Lawgiver. The flagship, the imposing Star Destroyer, was dramatically painted in red, and it was a sight to behold.
“Battle order, everyone ready”
The bridge remained in perfect order, despite the excitement over a possible encounter.
“What lectures provide our long-range scanners, officer?”
Said the admiral, asking an officer on the pit nearby.
“There is armed enemy presence on the system. We are gathering more intel, sir”
“Good. May the Force be with us”
The same words were muttered by many individuals across the bridge, while the admiral stared through the viewport, seeking the enemy holding the planet’s space…

Since I think my char and fleet are ready to go, I will do an introductory rp, mounting a raid to a FO planet. I think Brentaal would be the target of this said incursion, being accesible from Caamas, which simpathizes with the GA. I'd need a FO player/writer to face me in the said player and engage in rp, which I hope will be fruitful for us both.
Kind regards!

All set, done and ready. After discussing several topics in the discord chat and following some guidelines I've finished writing my character's biography and background info and have most the details hammered. So, basically, I'm ready for duty.
