She was a smart girl, and a smart girl would not join a feathered stranger. But she was a smart girl who had given up. She didn't care. She hoped he was an angel of death and that this was her end. Silently she followed. She was no longer angry, she was just done. She no longer cared. The clothes were familiar, she had seen markings when she was inside the Bruce house. Worst case, things would continue on and she would continue her depression. Best case, she would die... she followed.

AHHHH She screamed and cried as she pushed forward. Not really out of fear but mostly despair. Deep down she had given up. She felt worthless and wanted to just give up everything, but still, she moved forward. Every betrayal, every harm, every action that made her feel worthless played over in her mind in perfect detail. Good things had happened to her, and those memories were just as crisp, but the despair overwhelmed them and blotted them out. She could hear ghosts of her past smoking her. They were not there literally, but her bain replayed the perfect memories. Her frustration continued to build and the storm grew stronger. In a moment everything built up and she cried out louder than she ever had before. Lightning engulfed the teenager, brighter than a white dwarf star. Only the blue-white bolt did not originate in the sky but at the girl. She made the lightning. After that the storm was silenced and everything was dark. only her panting could be heard in the lifeless space.

Kent was not taking in information like she normally did, her anger and fear clouded everything. Her skin grew staticky, the robes she was wearing stiffened from the charge. The Force was whiling around her and through her. She felt she could have controlled it if she wished. But she had no desire to contain it or control it, she wanted it all released. Then she could hear something in the wind. Voices, children's voices were not heard through the wind, but in it. That realization was all that kept her from her desiring destruction... If she thought they were in her head, she would have feared losing her mind. The one thing she was more afraid of than anything, it was her one consent. Her anger and fear continue to build as she cries out to the voices.

The lightning and the wind threw her off. It broke her focus, the map she made in her head broke to pieces with the noise and flashes. Still, she felt she knew where to go. It wasn't really that far, only 3 or 4 miles. She followed the pull, up and over hills, fighting the wind and rain that was stinging her face. The thick robe was soaked quickly, even though it was made of a material that normally repelled water. The storm was that intense. It got stronger as she was pulled closer to the hilltop. She was seeing tombs when the lightning flashed. She had seen horrific things, but this still built fear inside her. This was a strange place, full of things that scared most everyone. Still, she felt she had to go one. Fear upon fear piled on her. She felt lost, the most terrifying thing for her in her life. She had no idea how to get back to the small castle she had recently left, the wind and lack of vision made that impossible. She was alone, normally she was used to this, but in this case, she didn't have her mind to depend on. She had nothing at this moment. Despite this, she pressed on as it was all she could do. The mausoleums got bigger, multiple times she tripped on ancient and broken stone works, falling into the mud. Still, she pressed on.
As she did she yelled into the abys to no one and the entire universe. Anger and frustration filled her voice. Even in this new place, she was as lost as ever. Part of raising yourself meant, no matter the facade you put on or how mature you seem you are always a terrified child. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS! WHY AM I DOING THIS? I am not worth the trouble! Just strike me down and let me be done with it! No more memories. Any more people that forget me that I can never forget... No more hope for something different... She sobbed and tears fell as she continued to steadily move forward. Her tears were erased by the rain and wind. Something the girl realized quickly and it brought her lower. The universe mocked her despair. Still, she moved forward.

I have never had one so I am not sure what looks best on me.Kent follows up to the chambers and the closet. Inside were more cloths than the teenager had ever seen before, some in colors she had never seen in person before either. The intensity filled her with joy. It was new information, and Kent loved to get new information. She smiles wide and bright at it all.

After a little bit of time Kent had calmed down enough to venture out of her little room/ closet. She first tracked down the library. She was shocked to find many actual written texts. She had never really held a book in her hand, these were ancient. She wanted to start reading them, but her mind kept being pulled to the grave yard and the mausoleum. She really couldn't think of anyhting else. The sun had gone down, and a small storm had come up. No rain, but a heaviness filled the air as the wind blew and the occasional lightning flash shown. Still, she found a thick robe and went out looking for the place she had seen from the speeder.

Thank you Kent awkwardly bowed her head, unsure what the correct action was in this context. She hated being unsure and not knowing what to do. Frustration builds a bit inside her. The manor was splendid. The architecture was like something out of a history text with some modern elements dotted around. The openness began to give her feelings of agoraphobia and kenophobia, she felt that she had no where to go and there was nothing around. She had been used to always being surrounded by things. She found a mid sized closet and tried to park herself in it as her place. She was still thinking of that mausoleum, it filled her thoughts.

Kent undid her harness and walk down the ramp. The air here hit different. Nar Shaddaa had so many smells; industry, cooking, refuse, and others a person would rather not think about. Felucia was different, there were more smells but they were all natural. The millions of plants and fungi in the jungle all mixing together. The Star ort and capital here was kind of an in between. But here in Dunbar, there was a lack of everything. Some of the farms filled the air, but mostly it was just empty, clean and fresh. The venders were far off. It was also quieter than anyplace she had ever been. The sounds were far off, there were few trees so the birds were farther away. The stillness made Kent a little nervous. She was not getting all the information she was used too in new areas. Instead she looked all around her, taking it all in. Her look could be mistaken for awe, but really it was a desperate grab for information.

Aurora's hand movement broke her focus. Kent blushed realizing how silly she must have looked steary off at a crypt and than hill. No, I don't think there is anything interesting there that I couldn't get better from a book, that battle was long ago. The town is lovely, very efficient in its design in many ways. Farms on the outside of a central city, with a large manor house in the middle easily defended. It works well. Are we almost there? The last part she added mostly because she thought she was supposed too.

As they road in the transport, Kent was quiet. She wasn't being shy or reclusive, just analyzing. The patterns in the lay out of the towns didn't line up with most modern cities. They made her think of old cities and towns she had read about, or other very primitives' worlds. They drove through varrious holdings, on their way to one the Aurora had been given. This knowlage helped her understand the system a bit better. She looked at the vast farms, wishing she could smell the plants. As they made their final approach, they passed over an old battlefield that had become a mausoleum. Old Bruce lords hade fought there, many dying defending the area. Kent could not take her eyes off the central crypt, even has the hill fell behind other buildings. Her eyes and focus were locked on it. She missed Aurora welcoming her to the town.

Thank you for your kind words.Their words were comforting to a point, but the girl still felt very out of place in her plain grey robe and tunic. The plainness stood in very stark contrast than everything else here. It screamed to her that she didn't belong here in a place like this. For all of her potential and her brilliant mind, she was still just a teenager trying to find her place, dealing with all the emotions and pitfalls that came with it. She looked around trying to analyze the art and architecture of the the small castle to distract her from the feeling of loneliness and depression coming up from inside. She had no idea how to hide her emotions, so the conflict was on full display in the Force. She tried to focus on the patterns in the Countess's dress.

Kent always hid the more tragic parts of her past from new people. Pity quickly turned to taking advantage of someone in her experience. She had made fast friends before who promised her the oppertunity fro greatness, they had wanted to use her and lose her. Many of them were dead, in cells, or had bounties on their heads. She suspiciously looked from the Duke to the Countess. She was still too nervous to really act. She said the first thing that came to her mind. I don't have the dress for anything like that. It wasn't meant as a joke, more just the girl being in awe of her surroundings and the well dressed people around her.

Her skills offered her no help in this situation. Her brain and the Force gave nothing to keep a street rat from being extremely nervous in the presence of nobility. The girl stuttered her answers.
I... I don't really know... I don't remember anything other than faces from my infancy, but I was captured and enslaved by pirates, after a while I was living on Nar Shadda, then Felucia, now I am here... I am sorry, I have never met a Countess.

She looked it all. She could see the new construction and new landscaping. I can see that. It is all very new and beautiful over there. She chose to keep the second part of her observations to herself. It was clear that craftsmen and much effort had gone into the manor houses, the other side of the coin were the prefabs, and basic droid construction in the common people's sectors. There was a clear contrast, though architecturally an effort was made to hide it.

Thank you.It was all she could say really. she had heard words like that before, and believed them. Every time however they amounted to nothing. She did wish that this time they were real, but she would wait for proof before she actually got her hopes up. As they traveled. Kent looked down at the city. She could see the pattern of new and old structures and was able to recreate the battle in her mind. She could see the way troops advanced and withdrew by the way the rebuild took place. She could see the priority in the rebuild, something were built with care, others with speed in mind. The city layout went into her head, filing away for future use. To most it would look like she was staring off into space, except her eyes were darting all around.

I guess i never saw that as a freedom, looking to the future. I had to, to stay alive. I had to think of every possible situation and plan for it. The words would sound like an exaggeration, but the girls tone sounded truthful, she was serious. It looks like Kent starts to stare off for a second but she comes back. In fact this, is a rare time when i have no idea what is about to transpire... There are so many unknown variables. Just saying the words made fear build up a bit inside the girl.

It makes sense.Kent pauses and thinks about her experiences and those of people she knew. The Jedi Knight that had been the reason her first friends were dead would agree. He was focused on the big pig picture, and people suffered from it. She was noticing that those looking long term often brought suffering on those forced to live in the short. As long as you have the freedom to look to the future.

This was by far the fanciest place Kent had ever been in. She had seen vids of places like this but never experienced them in person. This made the teenager nervous. Experience is what kept her alive, here she was going in blind. She was made even more nervous because she was by far the most under dressed person around. Her ill fitting plain gray robes she received on Felucia were a stark contrast to the nobility displayed around her. The servants were dressed much better than her. She felt like a peasant in the house of a king, but she supposed that wasn't far from the truth. When Aurora introduced her, Kent had no idea how to respond. The dirty faced teenager awkwardly stood up and looked around.

Well my past isn't exactly full of peace and happiness to draw from. So i use what keeps me alive. She couldn't keep herself from reliving experiences in perfect detail, each one horrible and fear inducing. She felt the power build from it, she was in control, she wasn't in danger but could still feel it.It seems like a good well to draw power from.
