The trooper relaxed slightly replacing his helmet, only then did the other troopers arranged throughout the room lower their weapons and take a step back - some of them returning to their duties while three others remained around the Newcomer, looking between themselves wondering what to do with this one. Technically with Cane on a mission Patch was in charge - the chain of command was getting shorter and shorter, and they were all struggling just to link themselves on.
”The Jedi Master here hasn’t been available for some time. With the War against the First Order and all he has been kept preoccupied. I’ll send him a message you are looking for him, but I suggest a meal and some rest. No offense, sir, but you look awful.”

With the sound of the lightsaber coming to life several clone troopers from around the hangar stopped what they were doing and raised their weapons toward the Jedi, forming a wide semicircle caging him against the wall. The clone that the Jedi has pushed back panicked for a moment dropping his weapon. Then with a deep exhale spoke softly.
”Relax General. Nothing here is as it seems to you. Relax brothers he’s not going to hurt me.
The trooper spoke with a voice of command but there was something in the words that made him not believe it. Raising his hands defensively against the wall he slowly removed his helmet revealing a face that was completely different from the one the Jedi would expect.

While Patch and the two troopers remained with Dutch’s men, Awen led him away to be prepped for surgery. Several minutes passed and then a handful of the Base doctors and surgeons moved through the check points towards the security area’s medical room. They would observe the procedure so they could then show others, and by this method the entire staff would be trained on how to handle the chip and the safeguards put in place to prevent tampering.
Because of the placement Dutch would be kept awake but given a series of pain killers and numbing agents. But still there would be some decree of pain. Awen was hoping further study would make it easier on those that followed him... but still she did what she could with her knowledge of the force to keep his mind from experiencing the full brunt of the pain. As the anesthetic began to take hold on his mind and his vision began to blur Awen’s mind would appear like a bein of light to guide his mind towards a place of peace and rest within his own mind. The procedure did not take long and within the next 10 minutes the chip had been removed and he was able to be moved to recovery.
”Well done soldier.”

The hanger was a buzz of activity today as techs, repair crews, and several dozen clone troopers all in phase II forest camo style armor were directing equipment and medical supplies into rows carevan style to be moved out of the back of the hanger bay. Clearly some sort of relief or rescue mission was going on, and from the rhythm of the workers and the ease at which they performed their tasks they were either quite good, or it had been going on for some time now, days perhaps. Noting the presence of the Jedi a pair of troopers moved towards the newcomer, he was clearly expecting someone else, but this was the day for things like that.
”Sir! Where were you directed by Traffic Control? I can put you on the right course?”

*Having heard they were traveling Altair had dressed in full tactical gear - which for him meant he put on his coat, and slung the holster with his disruptor pistol in it to his hip. While the baroness was dressing he had pulled up a technical readout of the building that would host the meeting and then passed a message to the leader of Scarlette’s security force and “requested” additional security to be placed temporarily under his command.
No one here knew exactly who Altair was but way he moved, the way he made “suggestions”, and how close he was to the Baroness gave him some leeway with the Security Force here on Cloud City. It was soon the general understanding that Altair was hired as personal security, a bodyguard as it were.
Along with her normal company of two guards, six more arrived at the mining guild’s facility by a different shuttle - it was also Altair’s suggestion not to inconvenience the Baroness in any way, and that until a real threat presented itself her day go on as normal. His presence he knew might throw off the miners guild delegation, and while he didn’t give a damn it might make Scarlette’s position more difficult so he sent another guard into the meeting with her, insisting she not be alone, then ordered the remaining men to establish a perimeter while he and another pair of men guarded the only exits from the room.*

*A gentle chuckle escapes his lips and he looked down at her with a soft smile. His embrace was loose but comforting - as much could be found in the arms of a soldier. There was little about his touch that was gentle or soft... the only soft thing about him was his smile, and generally only when he was looking at her. The cloud car that raced by caught his gaze and his head turned to watch it zoom past. ~Nothing like going Mach two in a V-wing~ He thought with a smirk before her touch made him focus once again.
"I would greatly appreciate your watchful gaze, Darlin'... I'm sure my men would as well, i'm sure they've gotten quite tired of my company."

Awen laid a hand on Dutch's shoulder and nodded, her ever present smile still on her lips and the aura of light still radiating from her. She was perfectly confident in her abilities to perform the surgery. Brain surgery was simple even for a droid, and she had trained all her life, been a military surgeon for nearly thirty years, and a doctor for twenty before that. Her race had a longer lifespan than most, and she was barely out of her adolescent years.
"You are very brave Dutch, If you are prepared we'll prep you for surgery immediately... you should recover within a day or two, then you can address your men."

*Altair exhaled softly finally relaxing a bit, slipping an arm around her, only then noticing how very little she was actually wearing. He pulled her gently against his chest so she could share his warmth, still looking out over the Cloud City skyline."Its not a fear for your safety... I understand you have the right to risk your life the same as any other soldier... Im just tired of watching my soldiers die..."*The loss of Raewyn was years ago, he had dealt with that given time, but in the last year he had lost one of his shadowalkers, nearly his entire fleet, his fleet commander who had been a good friend and mentor... the losses had begun to wear upon him, and he wasn't sure how many more he could take.

*Altair's shoulder muscles twitched slightly beneath the touch and his head darted around to her - a look of relief coming over him when he saw her face, and a soft but worried smile took his lips. He was surprised to find he had not woken her from her sleep when he had left, and when he was sure he couldn't return to sleep himself he had ventured out here. But still the dream - reliving Raewyn's death again and again... but instead seeing Scarlette in her place had shaken him to the core, and it was obvious on his face he had yet to recover.* "I suppose..."*He whispered softly his arms still crossed tight - defensively over his chest*"You do not have to come to Bothawui... I know you are needed here. Your people..." *It was a weak effort to dissuade her from coming, she was a member of the Resistance same as he was, he had no right to tell her when and where to risk her life. Its the life they all chose, and they chose it the moment they dropped out of hyperspace over Contruum.*

After many hours of their shared pleasure exhaustion overcame them and accompanied with that - at least for Altair became a very fitful sleep. Something did not sit well with him that night, and the Dreams he had that night were much stronger, much more vivid, and he had absolutely no control over them. Sometime in the night when the creams were at their worst his voice cut the silence in the dimly lit bedchamber as dream finally got the better of his subconscious and forced him away in a panicked state causing him to call out into the darkness a name... a name from many years ago... then left him panting attempting to catch his breath, and covered in the sweat of a fever dream. "RAEWYN!"

*Altair smirked and dipping a shoulder scooped the Baroness into his arms and carried her towards her bedchambers, his lips already moving up her neck to her ear as he whispered a reply*"Forgotten already have you? I'll have to be more thorough tonight..."*Thoughts of Bothawui and her offer to accompany him quickly faded from his mind as he tossed her unceremoniously into bed - still fully dressed and tearing his shirt from his body fell atop her.*

"I know you will want to remain here until things are a little more solid, and I understand that... But as I said on Contruum... Nothing has been heard from Bothawui since the distress signal we picked up... I've got to go. Bothawui is a crucial system for the Resistance, if we could get their government to support us, and their shipyards back in order to make fleet... in a place unknown of by the First Order?" *He shrugged slightly letting the question he didn't really ask hang in the air for effect. If he could do what he sought it would be a great boon to the Resistance, a Shipyards that was not linked to the Galactic Alliance was something that would help them greatly. He raised a hand to her cheek, caressing it gently as he tucked a few wild strands of hair back behind her ear with an affectionate smile.* "However my men are still prepping... so i have a few more days... if i wont be in the way remaining here?"

~~~Acclamator Crash Site~~~
It had taken several hours to coordinate but finally the rescue crews had begun to arrive at the crash site of the downed Acclamator. Medical crews saw to the wounded, technicians had already begun cutting into the bulkheads where members of the crew were still trapped and a compliment of 30 troopers in Forest Tactical gear had begun making a perimeter - they wouldn't finish by night and this place had to be secured, Felucia was not a planet you wished to be out in the open on at night. Those that were fit were allowed to stay and help with the evacuation of the ship - salvaging anything they could - but seeing first that everyone made it off safely and was looked after. Already many trips had been made to ferry the survivors of the ship back towards the Jedi Base where they would be fed and looked after in the staging grounds until the Jedi Master would allow them access to the grounds itself - in the mean time many shelters would be erected for them and the base technicians were working on getting them set up with portable power generators - before night fall the combined work of the base techs and the soldiers would have a working Mobile Base set up to accompany the entire force and then some.
~~~ Deeper in the Fungus Forest ~~~
Cane led the pair of Jedi deeper into the forest, their Airspeeders flying above the orange green and blue mushroom caps and various other colorful plants that shot up untamed from the planets deadly surface. They were nearing the coordinates Lucian had briefed them on, Felix was going down over the wild horizon, its light would linger for a few hours more, but by nightfall the world below would change, becoming much more deadly. Finally reaching the site Cane circled once, then again searching for a landing zone before finally setting down in a clearing and quickly powering down. What made V-wings useful here was the fact that the take off they did at the base was natural, but in difficult or tight situations the Airspeeders could take off and land vertically - a trait that came in quite handy in the more densely populated part of the Jungles surrounding the Base. Cane slipped out of the cockpit and awaited the Jedi... wondering how the pilot would fair with the vertical landing.

*He nodded slightly his smile vanishing into a more serious look. He couldn't stay here... There was a time when he would have, but he lived a different life now. He had a growing army to see to, and the Resistance was still young, still new. That was in part why he had come.* "Then I must place my trust in your... highly trained security force?"*He tried to chuckle to hide the fact that he still wasn't happy with the situation.*"And there was a few other things I did need to discuss with you; however, they could wait until morning? If you had other matters that required your attention?"

Awen's soft smile turned to one of pure compassion and even a bit of sadness as she nodded - proud of the clone - they were never given enough credit as a species. She took her pad back and once more brought up another page that showed the procedure to remove the chip. Eight Thousand men... the procedure took close to an hour to be done correctly, she would need the full medical staff of the entire base at her disposal for this - every droid and even then they might only be able to manage 100 or so at a time.
"Im not entirely sure what those chips are capable of, Dutch. I am not going to lie to you, the technology was never fully looked into. The 501st destroyed the cloning facility on Kamino so that no one would ever turn the clones against the Empire. When that happened all Data on the Chips was lost. Removing them will give each of your men the right to choose, the Freedom... to choose."
She had no right to offer them anything beyond that. She had no position of authority within Altair's Army, save when it came to medical purposes but she knew that look in his eyes, he was a soldier - like Rex he would be one for the rest of his life. That was his choice... thankfully it was Patch that spoke before she found the right words to attempt to comfort him.
"Altair... our Commander, He will give you a home. Here or on any planet the Alliance has access to. You may be safe, assuming the First Order leaves you alone..."

*Altair shook his head slightly setting her down. His eyes turned once again to the window as he glanced out of it at the orange and red clouds - no doubt a product of the heavy content of gas in the atmosphere. The sun was going down, nothing like the sunsets over the lake country on naboo, it was a different sort of beauty, something more grande. He nodded slowly in agreement with her statement.* "That sounds like something oddly similar to what another administrator of this facility believed... And I know you can look after yourself Scarlette, I know you're strong..." *Altair leaned back against her, his lips nipping at her own. "Are you sure you wont allow me to leave a garrison here...?"

As the Hammerhead Cruiser drifted in open space the shuttles continued to make their way towards the secondary hangerbay at the Rendilli StarDrives. The hanger wasn't large enough to hold them both - especially with the Hammerhead Vette already having docked. The fighters would have no room to land. Lucian's hands gripped at the controls as he constantly looked back over his shoulder - the rest of his command crew were stone silent, they all knew what it meant that Nakor had abandoned ship - he wouldn't leave that ship while still breathing, and ever since his second officer had died in the battle in Chiss Space there was no one to remove him from command and force him off the bridge - as he had done in the last battle where they had lost two Victory Class Star Destroyers in a battle with the First Order. This battle was almost as tragic as that one had been - they had walked right into a full first order invasion of Rendilli, none of them had been prepared for this. As the shuttles reached the hanger bay and began disembarking their passengers Lucian sent a message to Altair...
*Altair had already ordered his men to begin pulling out, and slowly there were making their way to the only exit remaining in the hanger bay laying down fire trying to keep the First Order troops from branching out to far. D'lyse however had moved towards Altair and the remaining RDF guards.
"Sir, we've sealed the turbolifts and planted charges - should they try and be activated they will blow. The main entrance is primed as well, we've got to get out of here!"
*Altair nodded turning back to the RDF commander, who had relented command at least for the moment.*
"Get your men out into the hall, My men and I are headed towards the Command Center - we can't let this station fall into their hands. Get your men together and retreat to the secondary hanger bay... My ships are prepping there as we can escape the system."
"Sir, Go with them, i'll cover rear guard..."
D'lyse would not take 'No' for an answer here, this position was not going to be easy to hold, and many men would be lost if they were not out before the First Order was ready to advance. Shifting through the crates they were using for a defense he unbuckled two explosives and planted them by the crates - then lobbed two thermal detonators across the hanger towards the First Order's defensive line. He had to make a scene - to grab their attention to give the RDF enough time to get out. With a terribly loud battlecry he activated his personal shield and leapt over the barricade where he had planted the explosives. Moving across the hanger bay not towards the Enemy line, but across their field of vision. He had a DC-17 in the blaster pistol configuration in each hand which he unloaded into the flank lines where their sharpshooters would be, his first two shots were aimed to kill, but the rest were simply meant to force them into cover - he was after all simply a distraction.
"Damned fool!"*Altair cursed before turning to the Commander*"Lets get out of here Commander..."*Altair led the last of the men towards the exit where he was sure the rest of his men would be waiting for him... hopefully everything went according to plan.*
Back aboard the Gadriel'lora'lya
Nakor sat in his command chair his head hung low his body wrapped in darkness. Power failure had cascaded across the entire ship and he had spent the last power available to him to give his shuttles time to get clear - out the viewport he had seen the Vettes take up flanking positions and when he was sure the fighters were engaged with the hammerhead cruiser and not chasing after the shuttles he knew he had succeeded, at least for the time being - his crew had a chance.
"I am sorry Gadriel... I have done my best, but your fleet has fallen apart before eyes, I have failed you..."
Emergency power finally kicked in - a dim red light indicating that at the least lifesupport and the airflow mechanisms were functioning for the time being. With a tired and defeated glance he red the power consumption readouts - if he bypassed the emergency life support into the ships electrical systems he could at least get the doors open - maybe make it to the Hanger Bay. Gadriel's fighter was still in the Hangerbay - equipped with a hyperdrive he might have had a chance. But the reroute was a terribly ugly hack... so many things could go wrong... With a soft exhale he hung his head once again - this was Gadriel's first ship, his pride, it was the flagship of his fleet for that reason, not because it was the strongest, or the most heavily armed. Those they had lost to the Chiss. It was hopeless.
"These ships were never the pride of my fleet... it was the men I trained to fly them, the men that fought for me, for the Jedi, for Freedom. Nakor, my friend... you are the pride of my fleet. You must try..."
Nakor raised his head slightly at the voice that seemed to be echoing in his head. It was Gadriel, he hadn't heard that voice in years. The oxygen must have been getting low, he was starting to hallucinate. At least that is what he thought before he raised his head and caught the fading image of the Bothan Jedi... standing right next to the Emergency power console. Nakor's eyes seemed to come alive and he reached into the pouch at his side and pulled out an orange. Putting the fruit into his mouth he bit into the rind tasting the juices coming from within - he held the tasty fruit there as he forced himself to his feet across the bridge and threw open the console's beaker compartment ... He wasn't going to give up, there was oxygen still remaining... and his General believed in him.

*Altair remained still as the guards left, only when they were gone did he rise and lifted his eyes to Scarlette's. He smiled softly and moved across the floor to wrap her up in his arms - kissing her deeply. As their lips drifted apart moments later he smiled against the soft flesh of her neck, kissing her gently once more right below the ear before finally pulling back enough to speak.*
"Your security has been given a few lessons... hopefully their incompetence wont get you killed if some first order operative sets his sights on you. I'm still not sure about that window... A sniper with a high powered plasma rifle... on any one of a thousand rooftops out there and you'd be dead before your body hit the ground..."

*Since he had dressed and left her to her own devices he had walked half of the Baron-Administrators complex by foot, examining it for weaknesses in security as well attempting to get a better feel for his surroundings. He had passed orders for several changes to be made in patrols as well as security checkpoints at various choke points across the building - all designed for the singular purpose of keeping Scarlette safe - she seemed content to believe she had to peoples affection on her side, but Altair was 'one of those people' and he knew the truth. They didn't care about politicians, they didn't care who ruled... they cared about the ability to feed their children and keep themselves warm in winter - if winter was even a thing on this planet - he really was unsure.
The last test he had for the security force was for him to move from the entrance to the Baron-Administrators personal office without being detected. Surely they had little chance of locating him if he wanted to be unseen, but he would give them at least the benefit of not using his cloaking tech. He had made it probably 150 feet from Scarlettes chambers when he timed the security camera's to run by the old time rather than the one he had asked them to implement. By the time he had turned the corner he was approached by two of the security officers he had met earlier in the day. They drew their weapons on him and he raised his hands with a smirk and a nod. Still, 150 feet was too close for his liking. He gave the guards a few more bits of advice and sent them on their way before making his way at last to Scarlette's door, which he found unlocked and entered his gaze passing around the room as it always did - he didn't like that large window... perhaps a force shield or a blast door outside the window screen on a proximity or crash sensor. His eyes moved to the rose within the vase and he smiled slightly and finally his look turned to Scarlette - she was a vision as always - he couldn't even tell she had barely slept the night before.*
"Baron-Administrator..."*He whispered with a bit of a sarcastic grin on his face as he bowed at the waste - a bow he had seen many of the Jedi do from time to time when addressing senators and the like.*"... May have a moment or two of your time?"

*Altair’s furst thought when a moment of clarity came to him somewhere between her lips and her thighs was how dangerous this was. He was just one soldier in the entire galaxy, but Scarlette was someone who would be under constant pressure voices scrutiny, under the gaze of both the Galactic Alliance and perhaps even the first order, if word of this systems liberation did not serve their interests. He could not protect her from them, just as she could not shield him from blaster fire on the battlefield... He exhaled his lips now pressing gentle kisses into her stomach as he explored her body.
”Something you are used to I am sure...”
