*As expected, Morgan ran to him when he appeared. Kory's crutch was indicative of injury, and Morgan, even whenever she craved love and affection for whatever reason, was too courteous to seek it when one was injured. So she had waited for him instead, and his response, of course, was to scoop her up and cradle her closely, opening himself up to her and sending calming waves of love and concern, taking in her own distress.
But what had even happened to put her in this state? He noticed she was dressed in her Felucian garb, bow and quiver slung across her back. Had something happened in the jungle? She looked a little dirty, but otherwise unharmed. And Lokay was just sitting on the ground, staring up at them. He didn't seem to be damaged either. Did something happen to someone they knew... ? A quick mental check reassured him that all his family were in the base and safe. So what had happened... ?
That was a story he supposed he could find out later, when he and Morgan had some time to talk. Right now, Kory was requesting rooms, commenting that her stay would be a little longer this time. Oh, he knew that would make Morgan happy. Or at least give her something to look forward to. He cuddled her closely and kissed her on the forehead before nodding at Kory.* Of course, no trouble at all. How many will you need? *He didn't even need to ask why she needed them. He hadn't known her too long, but he trusted her. It helped that Morgan trusted her enough to call her "Mama," and if Morgan trusted her that dearly, then so did he, as far as he was concerned.*

*Nemo, of course. He knew the name. He'd been a visitor to Felucia at one point, but Aerandir hadn't actually met him. That was good to know. Though as far as his words regarding becoming a companion to Isabo—Aerandir assumed that was her first name—Aerandir had to take notice of Nemo's title again: Master. Curious. Aerandir tilted his head to one side.* Do you have any experience with taking on Padawans, Master Nemo? *It was a question of mere curiosity rather than than doubt.*

*Aerandir had figured it would have been a good idea to visit Coruscant's archives, to compare data with that gathered at Felucia, and to hopefully have some useful data he could update the Felucia archives with. Sure, normally that information came from other sources, but sometimes there was a delay; if there was anything new gathered at the archives here, he could get the information to Felucia before it would normally arrive.
Of course, Cassie joined him. For one, neither wanted to leave her alone in this facility that was unknown to her. That, and she wanted to see some of the sights of the Temple anyway. The two moved through the halls, approaching the archives, when Aerandir spotted two people leaving the archives. Both seemed vaguely familiar somehow. The man, he wasn't exactly sure how he recognized him, but the woman... that was right. Her Master had recently passed. A terrible fate, that had been. At the very least, while they were approaching each other, he could offer his condolences.* Padawan Vera, is it? I'm Aerandir Calmcacil. I just wanted to extend my condolences for learning of your Master's demise. He truly was a great Jedi. *He regarded the male Jedi with a nod. He knew he'd seen the man before, but most likely had never interacted with him. Cassie stood silently beside Aerandir, seeming mildly shocked to learn of another Jedi death, but otherwise making no reaction.*

Why, is there something you need? *Normally, this would have been one of Aerandir's moments of comedic timing. But now, it was more of a curious and sincere question. For something was wrong with Morgan, that he could tell. And Kory herself didn't seem in the best of moods either. She was on a crutch, for that matter. He appeared from around the corner, approaching them with a look of concern for both of them, more especially Morgan.*

Saw this earlier today, good news, glad they backtracked. I always knew they would with enough criticism. Microsoft isn't stupid. Well, maybe just enough to create initially dumb ideas, but they're not stupid in the sense that they know what their fans want and don't want to lose them, so they'll do what they can without too much of a drastic alteration to their products to improve the experience and win them back.
As for me, this means... that I'll get to take an Xbox One on vacation, I guess.

Both of you spelled "traveler" wrong. >.> <.< In all seriousness I have the same question as Dav's last post. Ah who am I kidding it was an excuse to poke fun at cultural spelling differences.

*As Adi stepped forward, Aerandir took another step forward. It had been some time now since Honoghr, since Aerandir had stood on that wide rock in the Water Gardens and pronounced Ice a Jedi Knight. It was more an impromptu ceremony, but one Aerandir liked to think he handled well. And now he'd stand here and...* Jedi Matango, your years of service to the Jedi are many. You've overcome the temptations of the dark side, fought against many a foe, defending your home, your family, and many others from the threat of death. You've endured many hardships, and still unquestionably serve the Jedi Order. It is due to this that the Council has deemed you ready. Ready to assume the mantle of "Jedi Master." *Aerandir smiled, falling silent for a moment or two to allow that to sink in, then continued.* Congratulations, Master Matango. *Unfortunately, the news wasn't all good, so his smile slowly returned to a neutral expression.* However, we also feel you are not ready for the Jedi High Council at this time. You are also relinquished from your duties as a Knight-Advisor; there is nothing more you can learn from us. Your learning will now come from elsewhere, and continue to come from your duties as Watchman Lead. *It was this last bit of news he wasn't sure how the newly-appointed Master would handle, though he supposed it would be a good test of character. But Aerandir had said and done his part. It was up to Adieumus to go from here.*

*Aerandir never liked sitting at these meetings. He always stood beside or behind his seat within the circle of Councilors' chairs. He'd offered Cassie his seat, but she didn't feel comfortable sitting in what was designated as a seat reserved for a High Councilor. Aerandir supposed she had a point, so they merely stood together behind the chair, clasping each other's hand.
The Council was gathered, the guests so far had settled silently aside, and proceedings had begun with the promotion of Master Will Son'tir to the Council. Aerandir, unfortunately, could not say he knew much about the man, but his record spoke for itself, and he trusted the judgment of the other Councilors in choosing his ascension, especially his fellow Corellian, Master Roma.
But as the Master accepted the terms of joining the Council, Aerandir knew it was his turn. Gently squeezing his wife's hand, he released it and stepped forward, a slightly-restrained smile on his face.* Then, Master Son'tir, we welcome you to the Jedi Council. I am sure your wisdom and experience will aid us all. *Aerandir looked about at the gathered, at the faces familiar and new, then spoke aloud.* This ascension is not the only celebration of the day. If Adieumus Matango could step forward, please...

Its why the top Jedi on the site have such large egos. Not I. And I tend to associate Super Saiyan abilities as far away from Jedi as possible... because I only have bad associations with "Super Saiyans" on JvS... ... if you guys know what I mean, you'd know why I feel this way. >.>

*Aerandir ascended the spiraling path of the central chamber, feeling called ever upward. The pull suddenly diverted him into a side passage, one he turned into immediately. And instantly recognized. This was the room where he'd fought two apparitions and claimed the green crystal that now resided in the metal cylinder at his belt. The first apparition was of Darth Ascin, while he was still dead...
... and the other was of an adult Morgan that had fallen to the dark side.
The latter had been the difficult one to overcome; the first one was merely a warm-up and a teaser to lower his guard. He'd overcome the second apparition after seeing through the falsity, then took it down. Whatever the Force had to show him this time would have to be quite the shocker. He, in fact, dreaded to think of what it might be. But he couldn't back down. What kind of Jedi would he be if he just turned and walked away from what the Force wanted to show him?* Alright... *He stood in the center of the chamber, looking around for the first sign of a challenge, an apparition, a trial.* ... show me what you want me to see.

Lumiya was more of a threat due to her training and mastery of illusion. The lightwhip was just an added "benefit." Wookieepedia lists distinct weaknesses for lightwhips, such as the blade being weaker than a normal lightsaber, lacking in defensive capability, and the user could be overwhelmed by pure speed or brute force. Lumiya's lightwhip just had extra tassels of lightsaber-resistant material (beskar mainly) that added a bit of an edge to her strikes. It definitely must have taken tons of practice to perfect its use, and Lumiya was obviously a master. It seems more like the kind of weapon to annoy her foes and keep them at a distance, mainly.
As for the poll and my choice, standard.

*Jake... couldn't see it? That... was odd. And in a way, sad. The apparitions were very much a part of the history of his family and this place, as far as he was concerned, even Morgan liked them, but his son, Morgan's twin brother, couldn't see them. Well, perhaps there was a reason for that. Or maybe they were waiting to reveal themselves to him. The roach seemed to nod again after this thought, and, after a moment, Aerandir returned its nod. It vanished as he turned back towards his son.* Well, never mind then. Surely you should feel a sort of calling, at least. That is your crystal. Follow it. Your test shall reveal itself from there. *There was a calling for Aerandir as well. He could sense it. He'd merely had his focus upon other things. But why would he have another crystal waiting for him? Weren't the two in the weapons at his belt enough? This was strange, but Aerandir was not about to question the will of the Force. He nodded at Jake.* Go on ahead, Jake. I'm going to go seek something out myself. We'll meet up again right here when we're done, alright? *Aerandir smiled at his son, then, after waiting for his confirmation, departed further down the chamber. Up the winding passageway. Following the same path he had when he'd come for his own mephite crystal. A familiar journey, to be sure. But what lay in wait above? What was the Force to test him with this time? He would see soon enough...*

*Aerandir unbuckled himself as Jake did, standing and waiting for the boy to prepare himself. He smiled at the boy as he announced himself ready, then headed through the ship, towards the ramp.* I won't be able to help you with your trial, but you knew that. This will be something you'll have to face on your own. Oh, and if you run into any giant humanoid roaches... *He stopped at the ramp's controls, allowing himself a moment to reminisce about those strange apparitions he'd seen both visits here. After a chuckle, he shook his head, activating the ramp's controls and glancing over his shoulder at Jake.* Well, don't worry, those are normal. *That would likely confuse the boy, but he would see soon enough. The temperature inside the ship almost immediately dropped, stinging Aerandir's exposed cheeks. Fortunately, it wasn't a long walk to the Temple entrance, then into the caves themselves. He allowed Jake to go first, then descended the ramp behind him, sealing it as soon as possible.
There was a mild snowstorm whipping about. Predictable. From a pocket in his robes, Aerandir extracted a pair of eye-shields. Yes, the very same ones he used to wear everywhere. Those days were long past—and with good reason—but they would serve a purpose now, as he placed them before his eyes, improving his vision if only slightly. He then reached down and took Jake's hand, so the boy would better be able to see his way, and then they made the cold trek to the Temple entrance.
Once they reached the steps of the Temple, and once they'd entered inside, Aerandir removed the eye-shields, putting them away as he looked about the Temple. Things hadn't changed much. He'd met with a receptionist of sorts, identifying himself and Jake, revealing he'd been here twice before, and now was bringing his son along to seek his own crystal. Then they were granted access into the caves, and once more Aerandir walked through the opening hall, stepping into the large entrance chamber.* This was where we stood when we were shown to our separate trials. *As he explained this to Jake, a sudden movement of shadow, smoke-like, wisped before him, before congealing into a solid state. It was roach-like in appearance, though stood on longer hind legs like a humanoid. Aerandir had to chuckle as he looked upon it, giving it a subtle nod.* Looks like they've come to show us around again. *The roach seemed to return his nod, but otherwise didn't move. Aerandir didn't quite understand these things. And why roaches? Not that he was disturbed by them, it was just... an interesting choice. Perhaps their mere appearance was another layer of a test? To possibly induce panic, or at least attempt to take them off-guard? But now he knew they were benevolent, he rather welcomed their presence. They'd only ever been helpful, pointing the way to their trials and making sure they didn't leave until they were complete. And they'd even showed him the right path to take when he came here last time to retrieve Morgan...*

Johun: It'd be hypocritical of me to say I think you can only have one Padawan, considering Aerandir has had two since JvS's inception, albeit they were NPCs of mine (now alts). So, I'd say you'd be fine having multiple, so long as you feel IC your character is up to the task.
Aquilas: Welcome! As for your story idea, where were you hoping to RP him out? Most of the Academies/Praxeums around the galaxy have their own set of writers or people in charge that would be able to assist in such a storyline, though if you were looking to have this occur at Coruscant, then perhaps we could find a way for the Council to accommodate you more fully. Though to be honest, I'm not entirely certain we would dismiss you from the Order for failing initiate trials, if that's what you were implying; I think we would merely just give you more time to train and study. Dismissal is typically saved for pretty drastic measures, from what I'm aware.

*The Quiet Perseverance descended toward the Crystal Caves, toward the same landing spot he'd used both of his previous visits here. Aerandir set the ship down, then deactivated its engines and went through a post-flight checkup.
He was dressed in his adventure robes, which in his mind were all-purpose at this point; ceremonies, missions, diplomacy, what have you, these were the robes he wore. Normally he'd prefer wearing casual clothing, but the robes were preferable in the cold. Hooked on his belt were not one, but two lightsabers, the green lightsaber containing the mephite crystal he'd obtained from Ilum all those years before, and the black blade with the stygium crystal within. Why he brought both, he wasn't entirely sure, but he'd felt the calling to.* Bundle up, Jake; it's gonna be cold. *He smiled at his son, reaching over to pat him on the shoulder. He'd always looked forward to some sort of "father and son" trip someday, he just didn't know it'd be so soon. Jake was quite the sudden addition to his life, but a very welcome one. He was happy to be here with him, right now, and he had faith he'd excel in whatever the Force decided to put him through.
And yet, Aerandir felt a calling himself, at that moment. Again... ?*

*Ilum. It had been a while since he'd been here. More than three and a half years, actually, and then, he was only there to retrieve Morgan, who'd ended up there through... inexplicable means. Fortunately, now, he was here on a much simpler, more benevolent mission: To take his son Jake to the Crystal Caves, and allow him to find his own crystal for his own lightsaber. He still only had a training saber, and Aerandir figured he was a responsible enough child that he deserved to have his own lightsaber. Morgan had one for a few years now, after all, so why shouldn't her brother?
The Horizon-class star yacht appeared above Ilum. Aerandir made contact with control and revealed his credentials as a member of the Jedi High Council, which granted him clearance to the world below. After all, that was part of an agreement made between the Chiss and the Jedi not too long ago. Aerandir was grateful for that alliance; once upon a time, Ilum was a closed territory, controlled by... unsavory folk, but now, the Jedi had access to their crystals once more.
The ship descended into the atmosphere, heading toward the Crystal Caves...*

As far as the online thing, the latest report is that you actually will need to connect once every 24 hours. I'm not sure why this is necessary, but it's a one-time connection check essentially, but it'll lock you out of console features until you're confirmed connected. Really really stupid decision, but with any luck, Microsoft will see the light and remove that necessity before launch.
