If the Wookiees would like some Jedi assistance, I'd be more than willing to help out on that side.

www.shacknews.com/article/79297/xbox-one-doesnt-require-always-on-connectionThere's no fee for used games, though the new system they're proposing is... intriguing, to say the least. Guess we'll see what they'll have in store later. As for the mandatory installation to harddrive thing, well, the harddrive is 500GB, so that won't be a big deal. Honestly, I don't find backwards compatibility a big deal either; if that's a gamebreaker, then I guess you better get a Wii U, since PS4 won't have backwards either. (Or get a gaming PC but that's beside the point.)

True, when they heard about the possibility of the system always having to be online, there was an uproar and Microsoft backtracked. If there's enough of an uproar over some of the other dumb options, then Microsoft will likely backpedal on that too. Hopefully. If they can remove the flaws, then I see the Xbox One as possibly overtaking the race this generation pretty easily, though I foresee that it'll be a heavy battle between it and PS4.

I like the way it looks, it seems nostalgic in a way. I like the specs, they seem promising. The controller looks a bit odd, but the D-pad looks improved, and overall still better than any Sony controller.
There's some things that concern me. No backwards compatibility, but to a lesser extent, since I tend to hoard old consoles anyway, so I'll still have my 360. Then there's some supposed things I have yet to confirm, such as having to pay a fee to play used games, or needing to be online just to register the game before you can play it. The latter won't really be a problem for me, but I can see it being a problem for others. The fee for used games thing seems completely stupid, if true, and may influence whether or not I decide to put off the console and get a Wii U instead, being the Nintendo fanboy I am.

*The turbolift doors opened, and Aerandir, dressed in his white adventure robes, strode into the High Council chamber, arm interlocked with Cassie's. There was an air of gravity about him, but at the same time strength, both from within himself, and from the woman with him. Seeing that there were already two other Jedi present, Aerandir stopped, smiling at them and giving them a bow, a gesture Cassie mimicked.* Masters Raganella and Dewe, it's good to see you. *Returning upright, he glanced aside at Cassie then gestured to her with his left hand as he returned his gaze to the Masters.* This is my wife, Cassie. *Anticipating questions or comments regarding likely never having seen her before, he grinned.* I'm afraid I can't divulge where I've been keeping her, that's classified information. *Cassie smiled, but didn't say anything. Aerandir led her away from the entrance, the two of them standing slightly off to the side. Aerandir looked around the room, then spoke softly to Cassie after a moment.* We're still expecting another Councilor. Raven won't be joining us today. The other three will be joining us via hologram... from Yavin IV. *She nodded grimly, understanding the meaning of this. Aerandir continued speaking.* We're also waiting for another certain two individuals to arrive, as well as any other Jedi that see fit to show up. *His eyes traveled away to the large window, to the skylane traffic far away from the Temple, the daily routines of these people uninterrupted. How long would that last? Were they equipped to stop the oncoming storm? Of course they were. The question was, how did they respond? The same as they always did.* ... though I couldn't blame them for having... previous engagements.

Probably rock if I can. I'm okay with some forms of classical but not much country or hip-hop at all. I'd use Dubstep, but I wouldn't want to risk blowing out my own brains with that crap..,

I'm... baffled. Did fixing the bold/underline/italic tags fix the quote tags as well? Because they weren't showing up at all before. O.o
Either way, thanks for the fix!

*Aerandir and Cassie made their way to the residential area, and were shown to a room that had been set aside for them. As a High Councilor, he could have been offered one of the more luxurious rooms, and even had it set aside personally for him whenever he came to Coruscant. But Aerandir had declined the generous offer, preferring one of the more regular one-room quarters. He didn't foresee himself being on Coruscant often anyway, so no use reserving quarters that could see other use.
They were shown inside, and as soon as they were left in peace, Aerandir immediately went about setting a custom keycode for the room, preventing access from anyone who didn't know it. He sat down on the bed, sighing as he turned toward the window. Coruscant was a very boring place to look at, once one was used to the awe of such incredible architecture. Then all one had to think was how awful it was that the entire planet was a city, with little natural wilderness upon it.
Morgan and Michelle would both hate it here.* =Cassie= What's the matter? *He looked up at her, initially surprised she could read him so well so quickly after their marriage, but then he recalled that they'd known each other for years already. That, and the bondage of marriage tended to make the connection between two people stronger as well.* Well, the view sucks for one. *Cassie smiled, moving to sit next to him, wrapping her arms around him. He put an arm around her as she leaned into him, then sighed.* I guess it's the timing. We get married, and Yavin gets hit. Not exactly a good sign. *Cassie looked at him strangely.* =Cassie= I know you're joking, but I'm not sure that's the kind of humor I want to hear. *He chuckled, mumbling an apology, which she shrugged off with a smile. They were silent for a moment, then Aerandir spoke again.* Well, I guess this is your first big Jedi gig, at least with the Jedi of the rest of the galaxy. How're you feeling? *Cassie only shrugged.* =Cassie= More curious than anything. I don't have to really say or do anything, so it's not like there's anything to worry about. *Aerandir chuckled as he rubbed her shoulder.* I suppose so. My first big meeting? Mostly observing, but I did do a little talking. Mostly brought on by myself. But you've got it easy; your husband gets to do all the talking. *They both laughed again. "Husband." Aerandir was still getting used to that word. It was a good word. He had been a father for some time now. It was about time he was a husband. And he had a wife. It was a wonderful feeling.
Unfortunately, the universe was not being wonderful. War had arrived. The Councilors of Yavin were not present. Alive, accounted for, but not present due to the threat of the Mandalorian. They had originally planned to hold this meeting for lighter, happier reasons. Now, things were more dire. They had to formulate a response to this threat, and quickly.
Suddenly, he felt Cassie's fingers dig into his shoulders as he heard her gentle voice.* =Cassie= Relax. I know it's a tough situation right now and all, but you have to stay at ease. Everything will be fine so long as you stay focused. It always has been. The Plague War, the Earth Empire... *She really could read him; he was certain he had kept his feelings under the surface. But it was welcome; she was a comforting presence, and she was right. They just had to stay focused and form a proper response, and they would stand strong and drive the menace back. He closed his eyes and smiled, then opened his eyes again.* Of course. Everything will be just fine. *He turned just enough so that he was face-to-face with Cassie, smiling widely.* Especially since you're with me. *He kissed her. She returned the kiss before they embraced. Yes... she was definitely a boon to him. Someone he could lean on, confide in, and share his worries with. And he would be the same to her. He had stood pretty strong on his own before, but she made things so much easier, as she was someone he could talk to on a far more personal level than anyone else. He was so grateful for her, and was so glad she was here with him right now...*

Example here: jedivsith.boards.net/user/24In the coding, I have "ACCOMPLISHMENTS" and "GOALS" surrounded by bold, italic, and underline tags, and the entire section is surrounded by quote tags, but only the URL tags are working, and the one link that goes to the old site only tries to add a # to the end of the link. Broken?

Random thing I noticed: When I try to search, results aren't turning up beyond a certain time now. I can't pinpoint when, I'd estimate about 24 hours ago is when the cutoff seems to be. Is this a bug? Did I hit some setting by mistake when searching or in my profile settings? I don't think I hit anything while searching, since I tried multiple times while completely reloading the search bar. Did searching just get unindexed, or is Proboards just being dumb? Wanted to bring this back up, since I don't think there was an answer. It's doing it again, even if I specify to search within the last year. Won't be much point in a search system if we can't search past a certain amount of time...

*The Horizon-class star yacht sailed into the Jedi Temple's hangar, slowing and coming to a stop over an empty landing pad. The ship turned as its landing struts extended, then slowly began to touch down upon the cold floor of the hangar. The ship shut down as antitheft measures were put into effect, then the ramp lowered. Two people descended, a man and a woman, arms interlocked. The man was dressed in a set of white Jedi adventure robes, while the woman was dressed more casually.
They were Aerandir and Cassie Calmcacil, newly married couple. And yet, in the midst of these happy times were also shocking news, that the Mandalorians had banded together to wage war against all those who allied themselves with the Force, light or dark. They had ransacked Yavin IV, meaning two of their Councilors were unable to make it to today's meeting. And Aerandir initially had to wonder why the meeting was still happening, why they hadn't just gone straight to Yavin IV to provide aid. But the answer, he knew, was simple: The Jedi had to approach this reasonably, and not charge in blindly without a strategy.
The Council still had their agenda, their goals for the meeting that were planned before this attack. But now they had other subjects to speak of. Cassie, who rarely even ventured away from Felucia or Belkadan in the past, had come with him because she had wanted to be with him. They were married now, after all, and she wished to know more about his Councilor duties, and the Order across the galaxy as a whole. And Aerandir was happy for her presence. As for his children, he wanted to bring them, wanted them to be beside him so he knew they'd be safe. But Coruscant was a bigger target by far than Felucia; few knew Felucia was the sight of a Jedi establishment anyway. And besides, with Ambar and Tom there, they were in more than capable hands.
Not to mention, Morgan would be far safer under the protection of her mother.
He could see that others had arrived; Masters Will Son'tir and Devlin Dewe, and Knight Adieumus Matango. Aerandir pointed these people out to Cassie, naming them for her, though knew he could introduce them personally later. For now, they would proceed to their temporary quarters, where they would have just enough time to prepare for the meeting. Then they would hold their conference. Then they would know what to do.*

*A Horizon-class yacht appeared in Coruscant's orbit. After some tedious navigation of the skylanes and communicating with the Jedi Temple to clear a descent, it made its way down to the planet's surface, towards the structure.*

Quickmeme just swindled you.
Try going to "View page source," you'll be able to get the direct image link. That, or block the image you just linked in an adblocker if you have one. Quickmeme is kind of stupid about that.

The Jedi Base on Felucia seems to be set to allow all members of the usergroup to create threads. Is it still possible to allow only the group leaders (being myself and Raven Alora) to create threads in that forum? Please and thank you!

As for you, Aer, it sounds like you finally found yourself a good excuse to come visit my crew on the Forest Moon. We Shadow types like to use stealthy Force Power like Cloak, Concealment and Illusion. Zalor himself doesn't know Illusion, (not yet, anyway) but I'll at least be able to find you someone around the Shadows Enclave that does. Also got an offer from someone else in chat, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut who says she can't have two different teachers? Because you're right, I've needed an excuse to go over there for some time. So I could line up both of you; the other wouldn't be ready for a while anyway (because Siege of Yavin). If you can come up with a character, let me know, and I'll make up an excuse to swing by.
