==Jedi Fly RP== +Mary Cerulea+ <<124 ABY; R5 Sector, Korriban, Wilds>> The Tempest fell from the sky with all the grace of a rock and about as much speed. At the last possible moment, the ship pulled up, flaring its braking engines and repulsors hard to avoid plowing into the burned looking soil of the planet below. Still going far faster than most would be comfortable with, the Tempest put down heavily on its landing skids rocking back and forth ominously for several moments before settling down.-Mary Well, here we are, now if only we knew why.Continued from: boards.jedivsith.com/post/158144/thread

==Jedi Fly RP== +Mary Cerulea+ <<113 PP (123 ABY); R6 Sector, Ossus, Nerit>> -Mary Yes, yes. Go buckle in, we are leaving in a minute.Mary nods and calls back after the Tuskan. By that time, the T1 repair droid was already securing the now lose junk and working on repairing the damage, taking special care to secure it properly this time. Mary blinked behind the safety of her mask as the Vong woman returned quickly in what looked like a call girl outfit. Mary wasn't sure how she had changed so quickly, or why. She did take a moment to bump up the atmo controls in the main lounge to suck up anything drifting out of Mira's room from now on though.-Mary Can do. Grab a seat somewhere and strap in.Mary waved vaguely toward the several places to sit. Even a passing glance would realize they were all rather heavily bolted to the floor for some reason. Not bothering to wait for her passengers, Mary headed up to the cockpit and strapped into the central command chair herself. The view out the wide dome that made up the forward quarter of the cockpit was stunning as always. She never did get tired of seeing all the wonder of the galaxy, after spending the first half of her life in a city, and then the next quarter under it. With a firm nod, Mary pulls back on the sticks and heads to the stars. Half a dozen warnings, alerts, and klaxons began to scream as she more or less stood the ship on its tail and gunned the engines to max. Mary ignored them all, along with the usually bumping, scrapping, thumps, groans and sometimes screams from other parts of the ship.Continue: boards.jedivsith.com/post/158145/thread

There was a sudden groan of metal as part of the ceiling fell in. If Mary hadn't been distracted by getting her new guest settled in, she probably would have been able to dodge. As it was, the young woman that had spent much of the last decade on the ship with her though a vast number of missions came crashing down on top of her. Fortunately, she didn't think anything was damaged, equipment or biology.
-Mary Naan, this is Mira. Mira this is Kr'Naan. Naan, get off me.
Once she was back on her feet and helping Mira up as well, she moved on to answering the question.
-Mary It would seem that the sealed part of our orders were to bring Mira on board, and that she would be the one to see about actual formal training for me.
What Mary didn't say, but that Naan would know perfectly well was that Mira was only the latest to attempt such training. And that all previous individuals had either written her off as hopeless, run screaming from the possible haunted but definitely creepy ship, or mysteriously vanished without a trace.

Ndathoggu TempestThe Ndathoggu Tempest is a heavily modified HT-2200 Medium Freighter that serves as the home and mobile base of Mary Cerulea. Deck PlanOverviewThe exterior of the HT-2200 Medium Freighter is painted a deep blue, though closer inspection reveals small whirls and dashes of a deep blood red as well. The most prominent feature is the name of the yacht, Ndathoggu Tempest, written on the exterior blast door that leads into the Hanger Wing. Since the freighter was rebuilt from nearly scrap, only the basic layout of the freighter remains true to the original design and specifications of the ship. It also makes use of the most cutting edge technology and equipment the Jedi Order had available. However the poor oversight and rapid speed with which it was refurbished means that most of the systems on the freighter are one hard knock from being off-line. Mary is currently engaged in attempting to fix the issue, mainly by carefully repairing each system when it fails so that it is properly installed and maintained. In addition to the standard airlocks and doors, Mary has heavy duty security blast doors installed at each of the doors in the ship. The set-up includes various sensor systems and a small blaster turret that retracts into a wall mounted socket. This allows any room or number of rooms to the locked down to prevent movement within the freighter. Additionally, several new doors (including blast doors) have been installed to limit decompression in the case of a hull breach. There are three main areas of the Freighter. The first is the Crew Deck at the rear of the ship, which contains the majority of the common systems crew members would need to access on a day-to-day basis. The second area is the Hanger Wing, located on the right side of the ship. The last area is the Cargo Wing on the left side of the ship, which is mostly cargo areas of various type, though there are a few ship systems that are controlled from elsewhere in the ship. Crew DeckThe Crew Deck is where the crew spends the vast majority of time while on the ship. Most of the bulkheads are painted in various shades of dark greens and purples. Designed for comfort and ease of use, it is a fairly welcoming environment. At the front center of the Crew Deck is the Cockpit (Area 1). The cockpit is a rectangular area dominated by the three main chairs and a grid of window that reaches from deck at the front of the area to the ceiling nearly halfway to the door in a sweeping arc above the seats. Nearest to the window is a pair of pilot seats, side by side with individual wrapping control panels with a gap between them. In the center of the room and sitting on a raised platform is the ship's command chair. A number of holodisplays centered on the command chair keeps the occupant up to date on all the vital ship systems as well as being able to bring up any other data of interest. Toward the rear of the Cockpit are the computer interfaces for the freighter (Area 2, Area 3). To either side of the cockpit is a weapon system mount. On the right is a Tractor Beam Generator (Area 25), while the left is a Disruptor Torpedo Launcher (Area 24). The majority of the Crew Deck is made up of a single large living area (Area 15). A carpet matching the wall colors covers the floor while several couches are scattered around the room. A large holoprojector is installed in the ceiling in the middle of the area. This area is also the crossroads of the ship with doors leading off to most other areas of the ship. The largest modification from the factory model is the detachable central pod. This pod makes up most of the Crew Deck, with the exception of the main cockpit area and most of the engine area. Using the space saved from using smaller modern systems instead of the more bulky originals, a very cramped but otherwise functional cockpit was built under the deck plating of the common room (Area 5). The hyperdrive and engine systems, however, are limited. The pod has a functional clamp system that allows it to detach and reattach as needed. This allows the pod to function independently as a long range recon or shuttle. This, combined with the pod's equal size to many smaller light freighters grants it impressive functionality. In an emergency, the pod could serve permanently as a light freighter, though a poorly designed and short ranged one. The pod cockpit barely qualifies as a crawl space. The cockpit is extremely cramped, requiring the pilot to slide in face first to fly the pod. Most of the controls line the sides of what also serves as the pilot's chair, in recessed wells to prevent elbows or knees from accidentally pushing buttons. The view however is spectacular, as a combination of view ports and screens linked to dedicated cameras provide a double-360 view of the surrounding area. A feature that is unfortunately required to pilot the Pod due to the unwieldy placement of the cockpit. The first door in right from the front leads to Mary's quarters (Area 16, right front). The walls in this room have been repainted a deep red, with a carpet installed to match. The furniture set of a dresser, cabinet, bed, side table and wardrobe are paneled in a matching cherry wood. The next door leads to Kr'naan's quarters. This room is done up in sandy browns and golds (Area 16, right second). The furniture here is limited to a bed, cabinet and a large dog bed. The third from the front is set up as a meditation room (Area 16, right third). The farthest side door back on the right leads to the armory (Area 16, right rear). Stocked with individual weapon racks and secure storage lockers, the armory has room to safely store a huge number of weapons. All four of the side doors on the left lead to currently unused rooms (Area 16, Left). There are three doors at the back of the common room. The furthest to the left leads to the medical bay, which contains a wide range of medical equipment, including a coffin sized bacta tank and a permanently installed med unit (Area 14). In the middle left is a large bathroom capable of handling multiple people in privacy simultaneously (Area 19). To the middle right is a door granting access to the engine room (Area 18, 21, 22). The furthest door on the right leads to the galley, and a food storage area capable of holding provisions for years worth of food (Area 20). The rear arc of the ship and single largest area by volume is the engine room. The center of this area is the main reactors, while the engines themselves are on either side. Separating each of the engines and the reactor is heavy duty blast shielding designed to vent any major explosions away from the rest of the ship and out into space. Hanger WingOriginally this area was a pair of extremely large cargo holds. However, during the refit of the freighter, both cargo bays were converted for other uses. The leading cargo bay was converted into a small hanger designed to handle a single starfighter sized craft (Area 8). Along with all the repair, refit and refueling equipment one might need for such a craft. The entire side bulkhead of this area slides upward to allow fighters to enter or exit the hanger. The other cargo hold was split in half. The half along the outer hull of the freighter was converted into an expansive vehicle garage (Area 12, outer). The main way to enter or exit the garage is through a sliding blast door identical to the hanger. For craft incapable of reaching the main door, a tractor system can raise or lower any craft into the garage. The garage is large enough for two landspeeder sized vehicles to be stored near the ceiling of this taller than normal area. Additional vehicles can be secured to the deck if needed. Finally, racks mounted on the walls allow up to four swoops or speeder bikes to be stored out of the way. The inner half of the second cargo hold has been converted into an expansive workshop (Area 12, inner). With a wide range of tools and equipment, this area can serve as anything from a mechanic's shop to a droid construction area. It can even be used to melt down scrap into ingots or reforge them into useful parts. Cargo WingThe left wing of the freighter has undergone nearly as much modification as the right wing, even though only one of the original cargo holds has been converted to other uses. The forward hold is the only cargo hold that still retains its original function (Area 6). This has lowered the freighter's cargo capabilities to only 200 metric tons of cargo, a fourth of it's original amount. Like the hanger & garage on the other side of the ship, the main access to the cargo hold is through a massive blast door in the side of the freighter. The rear cargo hold (Area 10) was split into nine roughly equal areas. The third along the outer hull are systems mainly dealing with the exterior of the ship. This includes a sensor bay. In addition to the normal ship sensors, this large area hosts a number of more specialized sensor equipment and a wide range of communication systems, including a hypertranceiver & a full holonet array (Area 10, outer front). Powerful additional shield generators are also located here (Area 10, outer middle), along with more exotic defenses. A specialized system designed to deploy chaff to disrupt tractor beam locks and enemy missiles can fire a number of materials from confetti like clouds to fair sized solid plates (Area 10, outer rear). The middle third of this area is devoted to more technical subjects. An auxiliary power room powerful enough to run two of the ship's primary systems, such as the weapons, shields or engines is here (Area 10, middle front). It also has a minor subsystem that can run the life support systems even after all other power has failed or been deactivated. The science lab contains a wide variety of testing and diagnostic gear (Area 10, middle). Its massive computer systems also maintains a wide range of databases covering a huge number of fields. It even has an extensive collection for entertainment and recreation. Should all of that prove insufficient, the holonet connection in the sensor bay allows research using any number of off-ship resources. The freighter's computer core is located just behind that (Area 10, middle rear). This vast bank of computers is kept away from unauthorized access by an armored blast shell with secure access panels. The innermost third of the area is mostly taken up by a pair of smaller isolated cargo bays (Area 10, inner front and inner middle), as well as a droid locker (Area 10, inner rear). The droid locker is mainly devoted to the recharging and maintenance of the significant number of droids on the yacht. While it does have some minor tools for droid repair, most of them are in the workshop. Instead this is mainly an area for the main droids on board recharge or be stored when not in use. Droid ComplementMary has collected a wide number of droid bodies to help run and maintain the Tempest. Without exception, all the models have been hardline slaved to the ship's central computer. While this increases the efficiency and allows greater overall control via her command link, it seems to be having unknown side effects. Given that the ship doesn't receive memory wipes, it seems probable that it is slowly starting to develop a personality, much like a droid would. The bridge crew of the Tempest is mostly made up of droid brains installed directly into the systems they oversee and control. This includes all the weapons installed on the ship, as well as the shields, sensors, engineering section, and life support systems. However, some systems couldn't be controlled as directly. While the captain's chair remains open to organic use, the pilot and copilot stations had been replaced with a GD16 pilot droid and an OOM pilot droid. In both cases, the droids are missing extensive parts of their bodies, and have been integrated directly into the control panels. Additionally, a stripped down H-1ME serves as the ship's astromech. The still mobile elements of the droid crew include an AD Weapon Maintenance Droid, a LE repair droid, a T1 utility droid, and a BAF-320 repair droid serving as the janitorial staff. All of which have been rebuilt or modified to some degree or another. These tend to general cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the ship. There are also three mostly standard HV-7 loading droids for any cargo handling duties, though Mary has a noted habit of using them for short range personal transport as well. A Duelist Elite droid serves as the guard of the ship when the organic crew is away or otherwise busy. Mary continues to tinker with both its programming and the mechanical aspects of it. Finally, an A4 laboratory assistant droid and a Med Unit surgical bed make up the ship's medical crew. While the Med Unit has been permanently installed in the medical bay, the A4 is still capable of moving around as needed.

Mary eyed the large, rather sinister looking organic contraction with heavy suspicion, though the expression was hidden behind her mask.
-Mary If you say so. Follow me, the crew quarters and lounge are near the rear of the ship, but the access corridors go the whole way, so we shouldn't have any problems moving anything.
Once they were in the lounge, it was much easier to pick through the remaining rooms. The right side of the ship was already mostly claimed. Furthest forward was Mary's room. It was followed by the room used by Na'an, though the tuskan child seemed to be hiding for now and only a glimpse of a covered face was seen as the two women entered the lounge. The next two rooms had been converted into a meditation chamber and an armory. All four rooms on the left side of the ship, however, where still unclaimed.
-Mary Take your pick of any on the left. I'm not sure if that is a bed, or meditation couch though. If it is for meditation, I have a room dedicated to that on the right.

Mary followed her new master (... mistress?) up to the living ship. All the pets? Or were those wildlife? She wasn't sure, but they were slightly creepy. She had dealt with plenty of things just as creepy or even worse in her time in the undercity of coruscant. In fact, she thought she recognized a few of the examples.
-Mary You would be surprised at how much you could bring along. If your ship was a little smaller, we could tuck the entire thing in the cargo hold. I've got some research areas of my own in the ship. It is mostly robotics, cybernetics, and computer stuff. But I'm sure we could find some space in those areas for any of the larger pieces you might want to bring along.
Mary thought about the last question for a long while. She had mostly been an on call attack dog for the Order since she had joined. She hadn't had much call or opportunity to pick her own locations for a while.
-Mary I will have to think about it, up until now, I've been sort of on call. Going where I'm needed on any given day or week.

Zotu wasn't sure if the island had been claimed by anyone else, or even if anyone else lived in the area, but a quick query over his internal comm would get someone working on the question pretty much immediately back at headquarters. On the other hand, it was a surprisingly remote and hidden location, given its overall proximity to the capital. He was impressed with the skill that had obviously gone into its choice and development.
-Zotu I would not have thought it possible that someone could set up a base so close to our own heart of operations without our knowledge. I must congratulate you on your efforts, even if it is causing a bit of panic in the people wondering who else might have done so.
After a few more moments, the reply to his question returned. The island itself wasn't claimed or used by any of the nearby groups. Though a trading outpost was a bit further south, and several islands nearby had Rakata enclaves, along with one Ithorian enclave.
-Zotu It would seem that no-one else has a claim on this island, so that at least is one problem we won't have to deal with. And I can point out on a map other nearby settlements that are even closer than the capital if you wish.

Mary caught the almost slip the other woman made, but didn't think much of it. She did relax a bit as the creature abandoned her leg to return to Mira. the clearing wasn't large enough for either of their ships to land, but Mary didn't really need either ship to land to manage a cargo transfer. With a few commands via her mask's control links, the Tempest stopped orbiting the field and came to a halt in midair only a short distance from the other ship. A moment later, and the other two HV-7s came floating out of the ship to join the one she had traveled on. Within a few seconds, all three where floating next to the two women, hovering low enough to step onto.
-Mary It is indeed my ship and transferring cargo will not be an issue. We can either head straight up to your ship to do whatever packing and loading needs to be done. Or we can stop by mine first to get some cargo boxes to make things easier to load. If you don't have some already aboard. Or you can come over and pick out the room you want. Either way, the first stop for any cargo will probably be the cargo hold.
With that thought, she send another command to her ship, and the wide loading doors of the cargo bay began of open on the left side of the ship. Beyond the opening doors was a large, mostly empty area.
-Mary As for size, I'm not too worried, I have way more room on board that I would even know what to do with. Even with the ship modified to serve as a mobile house and outpost for the Jedi Lords.
She stepped up onto the nearest of the disc shaped droids, letting her boots lock into place and waiting for the other woman to follow her lead.

Mary shook the offered hand, not at all bothered by the odd number of digits. Then smirked at Mira's choice of words.
-Mary Smashing might be a bit too accurate. Sorry about the knock on the head. I was actually expecting you to block it, given how well you had done against my probing attack. As for common people, yeah I could help with that I suppose. I've spent most of my own time in the Jedi Lords as a glorified attack dog. I suppose it makes sense to pair me off with someone that is more, stable?
With introductions made, Mary returns the mask to its more comfortable place on her face. As she does so, she notices Mira's pet curling around one of her armored boots. That did disturb her, a little bit.

Mary blinked, though the other woman couldn't see it. She had no clue what the other woman was talking about, but since she was technically apprehended, Mary keyed open the next section of her orders and quickly read it. For a few long moments, she paused. Then she started to laugh. It started out as a little giggle, then quickly grew into a deeper belly laugh than she had had in a long time. She quickly stepped back and returned her weapons to their holsters.
-Mary I apologize for laughing, it seems the joke was aimed at both of us.
Mary reached up and her mask unhooked with a soft hiss of pressure. The face below it was younger than might be expected, but much more care worn and scarred. Much of left side had been badly burned, and then infected with something that left huge craters in it. Her one remaining eye, the right one, was the color of fresh poured molten gold.
-Mary My name is Mary Cerulea, and it would seem that I have been send to be your padawan. My orders were to arrest you, and then open the rest of the sealed orders, which I just did. Seems the introduction was set up to test both of us. Though I'm not sure who is judging the test or how we did.

At last, Mary saw the perfect opening. This entire time, her left hand had been hidden in her cloak, at last it poked out from between the folds, lead by the brutal snub nose of her carbine, which rapidly spun up with an ominous hum as the barrel pressed firmly against the belly of the other woman.
-Mary I think not. You are under arrest by order of the Jedi Lords.

Zotu recapped the flask and tucked it back inside his tunic. With that done, he followed the Yuuzhan into the belly of the beast, less figuratively that was perfectly comfortable to Zotu. The inside was, however, less squishy than Zotu had been expecting. It was more like a surprisingly warm cave.
-Zotu My people also view it more as a tool. And like any tool, its use should be carefully trained. And used for the betterment of the Empire. I assume we will need to travel underwater for a while?

As expected, the woman was more well informed, but not very well trained. Not as expected however, her .... pet .... thing could spray some kind of fluid. It splattered across her mask, including one of her lenses. fortunately, the autoclean function was working just fine and the fluid, whatever it was, quickly wicked away from the lens. It didn't seem to have caused any damage from the brief contact, but she still had most of the fluid on her mask, the cleaning function only worked on the lenses, not the entire mask. She would have to be ready if the damage sensors started going off.
She would need to end the fight quickly, before the other woman displayed any more surprises. With that thought, Mary stepped up her offensive. With her blade already in a cross body position from the pommel strike, Mary whips the blade back in a left to right strike on her target.

For someone that skittish at first, the alien woman moved much better than expected. However, she moved mechanically, like someone that had memorized a book or drilled on a practice field. Not gracefully like someone with with real experience. Mary allowed her blade to be pushed back, and stepped forward with her opponent. Using the momentum of the push to her blade, she spun the weapon in a tight arch that would have decapitated herself, had she not leaned back in the same motion she stepped forward with. The red blade intercepted the strike at her shoulder with the tip, while the handle and lower blade continued on toward the other woman's face in what would have been a palm strike, had her hand been empty.

Mary paused for a moment, just outside of striking range. This odd person was getting upset about ... the turf? Regardless she had a job to do. On the other hand, she did shift her grip to a slightly higher posture.
Then she stepped forward and attacked. The first strike was more of a test than a real attack. She was holding the blade in her right hand, so she tried a simple slash from her target's left to right at roughly navel height. It wasn't a slow strike, but she was holding back enough to check the blow if it seemed likely to actually hit. She did have orders after all. She was also prepared for a counterattack, just in case the figure was a lot more skilled than she seemed to project.

-Zotu I didn't think you were trying to one up me. On the other hand, your people never made it out this far. We didn't have the same wounds inflicted on us here that others, even other clans of mandos, suffered. Perhaps that means it will take less time for the wounds to heal.
Reaching into the small carry all he had retrieved from the cart on their way back, he pulled out a flask of tihaar. While not as strong as their previous drink, the cherry brew was stronger than most humans would be comfortable with. After taking a sip himself, he held it out toward his host.
-Zotu As for the jedi, I have nothing for or against them. We have our own organization of force users in the Empire. Though in the modern empire not everyone is a force user like it was in my time.

Zotu continued to stand, at ease and swaying gently in time with the waves below and the movement of the beast. He had known a fair bit of that history, given his own specialty. But it was still a personal account and there were new details as well. Many of those he had talked to in the past didn't remember the voyage. Either too young, or having purposefully sought to forget.
-Zotu There is always hope. I never thought my own people could change. But we have now. I have subordinates I not only trust to follow orders, but that will do what they think I would want even when I don't order it. And colleagues that I can trust not to stab me in the back. It is strange, and at time I have to resist the urge to return to the old ways for my own gain. But I resist. The old ways didn't work, and if I did ever use them, I would lose the respect they have for me. I see no reason your own people can't change just as much. Of course, hopefully your own people don't have to go extinct and then be summoned back to make the change.
The last was said with a predator's grin. There was more than a touch of self-deprecation in it, but also a lot of truth.
-Zotu As for my bones, I'm not sure what happened to them last time, so it seems a bit unimportant to me what happens to this set.

Mary failed to answer, or at least, she failed to answer with words. Instead she disabled the magnetic locks in her boots and stepped forward. Out into empty air. She dropped the few meters to the ground of the clearing. At the last possible moment however, there was a flair of power as she used the Force to stop her fall. As she landed surprisingly softly, the ground for a meter in every direction was suddenly churned as if attacked by a dozen spice addicts with shovels. Backlash from her slowing herself. Through all of this, only her head and a single arm protruded from the nearly all concealing cloak.
Mary wasn't sure what the alien woman was holding, but it looked dangerous. Mary wasn't even sure if it was a pet, or a weapon of some kind. Either way it didn't matter. She had a mission to do. She advanced toward the other woman, lightsaber still extended and held low as she left the patch of torn ground. The blade hummed softly as it clipped through some of the longer strands of grass. She was still several meters away, but it wouldn't take her long to cross the distance.

At last. At long last. Thast was finally to the point he had been working for so long to reach. He let the warm memories wash through him as he made his way, for the first time ever, to the Senate Chambers. It had taken him nearly two years to get the required fifty thousand proxy votes to even be registered as a Representative. In other situations, that would be a paltry number, but convincing that many mandalorians that his reasoning and judgement were sound was a lot more work than most might think. After that was nearly a decade of steady work. He had carefully guarded his voter's interests in the senate, as best he could anyway. Slowly increasing his own rank by gathering more and more proxy votes, both from lone individuals and from convincing other Representatives to support him. Ten years of shifting his support from Senator to Senator as the various issues came up. Ten years of watching his voter count fluctuate up and down, all while slowly growing.
The large double doors were before him now, only one last security check point remained. He had done it at last. A tenth of a percent didn't sound like a lot, but the population of the Empire continued to grow by leaps and bounds. The vast majority of his proxies were held by multiple tiers of lesser Representatives. They had been and would continue to be the core of his staff, keeping him in touch with what his people wanted and felt. He passed through the security checkpoint with a sense of euphoria, and stood before the grand double doors. Only Senators and the Imperator herself were allowed in the room beyond. He had made it at long last.
The room beyond the great doors did not look like the Senate Chambers of other nations. There were no tiers of seating, no grand podium, no bombastic roof. Instead the room looked more like a wine cellar that had been converted into a tavern. The roof was fairly low, low enough to reach up and touch where the vaulted arches scooped down. Rows and ranks of pillars effectively divided the room into many smaller squares. Comfortable chairs, small tables, firepits, and miniature bars were scattered freely throughout the area. But the main feature were the Senators themselves. A few hundred beings circulated through the area, talking quietly with each other. Most were in armor of some sort, either traditional mandalorian plate, or lighter variants. A few, however, were in more imperial styles, either uniform or casual clothing.
It would take a bit for Thast to get his bearings. Politically, he was a Crown Loyalist, as were the vast majority of his proxy votes. That was in fact the way the system was intentionally set up. He had worked with many of these people for more than a decade, and knew most of the other members of his own political block. But the room seemed intentionally designed to prevent long sightlines, and the sheer size of the room and number of occupants meant he didn't immediately see any of his fellows. He took a minute to order a drink from one of the automated bars, in celebration more than anything, before he started wandering his way through the chamber. He would find them soon enough, for now, he was content to simply soak in his achievement.

==Vong of Lehon== +Zotu Vomdo+ <<113 PP (123 ABY); G11 Sector, Lehon, Open Ocean>>
Zotu returned Sarazen's smile with one of his own. Shark like teeth shining for a moment in the sun. The feel of the sun and water was indeed extremely good. He took another sip of the offered drink before passing it back. While he did so, he let him mind wander back past the ages of boredom to his live before. Objectively, his position in life was much improved, much less stressful. But at the same time.
-Zotu I think the thing I miss most is the certainty. When I was from, the Empire had absolute, unchallenged control of the galaxy. It had been for tens of thousands of years, and would have it for nearly as long after I was imprisoned. Everything was definite and certain. You worked to keep those below you in line, and to try and take what you could from those above. To us, it had always been that way, and always would. Even the lowest of our number were like royalty or even deities to the slave races. I was fairly low ranked, in the empire. But any whim I wanted, I could have, provided for by my slaves. But what we really craved was power over each other. Not just over the slaves.
He paused for a long second, letting memories and regrets wash over him like the salt spray and sea breeze.
-Zotu Of course, the bad point was that you could never trust anyone. Underlings would try to supplant you. Superiors would try to suppress you. And those of the same rank would try to outmaneuver you. Even your slaves would rebel if given the slightest chance. I'm told that in the end, it was that last that eventually broke the so call Infinite Empire. The new one, this Infinite Imperium, it seems to have learned from the mistakes my people made. It even brought my people back from the grave. But it is still young. Barely more than a hundred years old. Only time will tell if it can stand, but I will likely not live long enough to see it either way.
