For a slight moment, there was no response, only the woman continuing to move about the story observing the plants she had out on display. Short enough to go unnoticed by most, it made the girl curious. That curiosity furthered when she finally spoke, speaking of her place at the Temple of Karabor. Even though she had seen it from a distance due to it being within the limits of the city, she knew little about it except for some rumors. By most she could tell, it was a religious place and that was all. The idea of the Force and beings capable of great power was truly nothing more than a silly girl's fantasy to her.
Moving to keep in step just behind Ashara, she listened as her growing fame was being reflected back to her. This temple wanted her to aid in the work of their gardens? She had been met with requests of high honor before, but this was beyond what she expected. Usually, such a place had its own gardener or would have selected someone that was far older and more well known. She blushed a little at the thought, stammering a bit. "Wow, I..I'm flattered that you'd think of me for such a task. But surely there are those more qualified and much more experienced to handle the gardens that, as I'd believe, are more extravagant than anything else in this city."

An amused smile came to Ashara's face as Kalene, humbly suggested a more 'qualified' person to take the job. A gentle gray hand rested on the young girls shoulder and bent down slightly to look into Kalene's eyes.
=Ashara= Child. Look around you, these plants are some of the most alive and beautiful I have seen. And that is thanks you your work. You have a gift. And I can think of no better canvas to let it flourish and grow, than our Temple gardens. She stood back up and reached into the small pouch she had on her belt and produced a credit chip. She placed it on the counter as her tail grasped a rose and brought it around to her hand. I will be back tomorrow. Think it over youngling. May the Force be with you.
She began to leave the building. Pausing one more time as she turned back at Kalene.

Kalene simply looked back at Ashara, her cheeks still tinited red from the flattery and job offer. Did she really possess a gift? Many had told her she was a natural at growing plants, being able to do more than many, sometimes better than the experienced florists in the city. She never believed it, though, not thinking it was possible. Humble, she continued to just do her best and didn't seek to compete with those around her. Her only goal had been to grow vibrant and lively flowers and make others smile. Now, she was being asked to tend to the gardens at this grand temple. Could she really refuse?
There was time to answer as the woman moved away, grabbing a single rose and placing credit chip on the counter. She only watched, her mind racing at the chance to work with those within the temple. It was a storm of conflict of whether she should or shouldn't, though there was little to support the shouldn't side of things. Still, she said nothing as she watched Ashara leave, a single glance back at her before disappearing from sight. Kalene moved to the door shortly after, locking it and closing early. There were still a few hours left, but her mind was so distracted now that she couldn't possibly properly interact with customers. Giving a sigh, she moved to the greenhouse and looked around at the plants, taking a seat among them. For the duration of the day, she didn't move, thinking about the prospect offered to her.
All that night, she simply looked at the ceiling of her bed, her mind finally made up, though now thinking about what it'd be like inside the temple. She had discussed it with her family and they were surprised that someone from such a place sought out their daughter, but supported her decision to take the job. Ideas ran about in her head about what could be done, what could be added, each bit making her more excited. Unfortunately, these were thoughts based on nothing. She didn't know what the gardens currently looked like, their size, or even what the residents would even like. So much was needed before she could really pursue and plans.
The next day, as school let out, she made her way straight to her shop in a hurry. Typically, she wouldn't be there, being at her dance class instead. But she wanted to be there when the woman returned. When she got there, she went ahead and sent the others home and locked up. Sitting behind the counter, she merely waited for Ashara to return.

Arriving at the same time she had the day before. Ashara, knocked gently on the locked door to the flower shop. She could feel the excited ripples in the Force as the Youngling had it seemed made up her mind. A small smile crossed the Mystic's lips. Once again her sight had not let her down. Waiting patently to see the young girl again, hands held in front of her.

As Kalene heard the knock at the door, he head shot up, excitement growing within her as her heart began to pound a bit harder. Due to this, she didn't move for a solid minute or two, working to calm herself as best she could. She didn't want to appear like some overactive child being given a toy they've always wanted. She had to retain a professional demeanor as this was, by her understanding, business.
Slipping from the chair, she moved quickly, but calmly to the door. As the door opened, she was greeted with the sight of Ashara. She looked at the woman with a smile, still taken in a bit at the unique beauty she carried. A few seconds passed before she realized she was staring and stepped aside, opening the door wider to let Ashara in. "Welcome back. It's a pleasure to see you again." Once the woman was inside, Kalene locked the door once more to ensure no one else entered as she wished all her focus to be upon the encounter and the discussion therein. Taking a deep breath, she made sure she was calm enough to speak, a few lingering questions on her mind before she fully said yes. "If you don't mind, I have a few questions. What exactly does this job entail?"

Smiling warmly at the girl, Ashara stood before her eager, herself, to hear what Kalene had to say. A good sign and impression, that the youngling had thought up questions. Not going to rush into something without knowing the details was always a good sign to Ashara.
=Ashara= Your job will be to oversee the maintenance of the gardens, arboretums, and all other such areas of our Temple. Well, that is the end goal. If you would like to start off smaller you are welcome to and focus only on our main courtyard. Really it'll be up to you, how much you tackle and when. Though we do expect some progress made. You will also be allowed to hire outside help, since our grounds are extensive and may be overwhelming for just one person to tend alone.
Ashara hoped to make it sound like a blank canvas, one that Kalene could do with as she pleased and not some overwhelming monumental task. All the while her golden eyes studied the females reactions to what she said.

So far, the job sounded promising, though she had no real care if she would be free to do what she wished or followed the desires of another. Giving life to the plants and bringing a vibrant atmosphere that made people smile and relax was all she ever wanted. But it was always good to know before accepting a job. One never knew if what was sought of her was actually against what she wished to do. A rare situation, but one could never be too careful. That left only a single question. "Considering the size, am I being expected to take up residence and devote my time to the task or tend to them every few days or so among my other tasks and hobbies?"

Smiling down at the young girl, Ashara answered Kalene's next question.
=Ashara= I would love nothing more than for you to join us at the Temple as a resident. And I would request you do so, at least for the start. If you find that the arrangement does not work for you, we can revisit it and find another plan that will work.

Kalene listened to the words, though it really didn't make a difference. She had made her choice and moving to the temple was among the things she had thought about. She knew the woman had to realize how young she was, that she was still in school. So if Ashara asked her to take up residence within the temple, that must have been thought out as well.
Not responding with anything more than a nod, she moved past the lightspawn and to the door that led to the back. She motioned for Ashara to follow before moving through the threshold. On the other side was her greenhouse with flowers of different breeds and colors all scattered about. Against what lay here, what resided on display in the shop paled in comparison. She moved to the side to let the woman look and walk about. After a few moments, she finally spoke, the confirmation finally stated in an unusual manner. "Do you happen to have any ideas as to what you would like to see? You didn't come to have me do everything as I saw in my mind. Surely, you and even some of the others have some ideas as to what you're looking for. It can give me a good starting point in what seeds I need to start gathering."

A broad smile came to Ashara's lips as she stepped into the greenhouse. It took her a moment to take in all the specimen and the beauty of this back room. This girl was truly strong in the force, even if she didn't know it yet. After Ashara had finished admiring the room full of beauty, she turned her attention back to Kalene, who seemed to radiate with the Force in this moment and place.
=Ashara= I believe you should focus on our main court yard. An assortment of plants ideal for providing a relaxing atmosphere for meditation.

Kalene merely stayed back, allowing Ashara to gaze at the abundance of flora in peace. She hoped that through this display, the woman could better relate any idea she or the others might have had in the gardens that would be created and tended to. However, it seemed that the only idea given was for it to be shaped into something that would provide a relaxing atmosphere.
With only that to go one, that left a very large selection as any of these plants could be considered as such. Be it the blues of the Blue Blossoms, Ithorian Rose, and Puffballs, the purple of the Bachani, Purple Passions, or Trumpet Flower, red of the Plom Blossom, Pyro Flower, or Queen's Heart, pink of the Centaurea and Mycosia Flower or even the more unique such as the turquoise of the Palomella, the emerald of the Green Daisy, the fiery orange of the Gargrell Flower, lilac of the Starmist, red and yellow Jebura Flower, blue and yellow Ryoo. There were even those few that had multiple colors such as the Floating Archidia that came in purple, blue, or crimson and the Delia Pavorum that was normally yellow, but turned blue when influenced by certain wavelengths of light. She even possessed the Lorchad.
Stepping out into the field a bit, she turned back to Ashara. "Do any of these pick your interest? If you find a flower or even a color that appeals to you, it'll work to better set a mood to work around."

Realizing she was being vague and unhelpful to the young woman, Ashara thought for a moment, to formulate a more concrete opinion. She took another look around the green house, before settling on some options. She turned back to Kalene before giving her response.
=Ashara= Cool colors, greens, blues, purples, and everything in between. With a accents of reds, yellows, and gold. Could you do that?

As Ashara gave an idea of what she was looking for, Kalene turned her attention once more to the flowers. With it being the main courtyard, impression was by far the greatest thing to think about. It was a large array of colors, for sure, but she was already thinking about what could be done. Blues and purples as the main with accents of red. Or maybe yellows and greens. For something more vibrant and alight with color, yellow, orange, and gold. And that was just the flowers. The scene could be enhanced further with a small fountain and pond along with pillars. So many ideas, but nothing could be decided until she got there and saw what she had to work with.
Looking back to Ashara, she nodded. "I think I have a few ideas in mind, but I won't know for sure until I see it. For now, I should return home and begin packing. Perhaps you can come with me and speak with my parents about it while I'm getting ready? That way, they fully understand what's going on."

After giving a bow to Kalene, Ashara placed a hand on the young girls shoulder.
=Ashara= I look forward to seeing these ideas of yours come to life. And I would be happy to meet the people who raised such a fine young woman.
She removed her hand and motioned for Kalene to lead the way. Ashara would not have wanted to steal away someones child without explaining herself, especially when they were also likely unaware of Kalene's gifts in the Force.

Kalene nodded with a smile and made her way from the back room, making sure the automatic system was still on. When she could not be here to tend to the flowers, it worked to keep them watered and healthy. Once that was set, she made her way out of the store once everything had been powered down, locking the door behind Ashara.
The trip home was quiet as Kalene pondered what life would be like at the temple, what she would learn there compared to her normal studies, and what all she could do with gardens within the building. Even now, she possessed no inkling as to the power within herself or even that the temple housed those who wielded the Force. Right now, it was so much to process, though her excitement was evident.
As they reached her house, she lead the woman inside and was soon met by both her parents. Upon seeing the Lightspawn, they were taken aback much more than Kalene had been at their first meeting. Out of all the races they had seen before, Ashara was one they had never had the chance to witness. Still, after a few moments, they gathered themselves, Kalene’s father Even casting a few interested glances. A married man, but still couldn’t deny looking when coming across a beautiful woman.
"Mom, dad. This is the woman I told you about, Miss Ashara. She has offered and I have agreed not live in the temple with her while I work with their gardens. She came with me to talk with you two while I pack." Kalene smiled before running off to her room to begin getting ready.
Her parents watched, the discussion already having come up about such being a possibility after Kalene brought up the offer. It was nice to know someone had decided to come and speak with them about it instead of just taking their daughter away without warning. Leading Ashara into the living room, Kalene’s mother offered her a place to sit.
"Can I get you anything while we wait?"
Waiting a moment for Ashara to answer, her father then spoke up.
"I must say, we always believed and supported Our daughter’s work, proud of what she’s accomplished. Never though would we have thought someone from the temple would come requesting her to work with their gardens. It does makes us proud. Tell me, though. Why is it she is being asked to become a resident? The temple isn’t that far. Surely, she can easily come and go as needed?"

Ashara was unfazed by the reaction she got from Kalene's parents. Graciously, Ashara followed the parents into their living room and took a seat, letting her tail drape over the arm of it. She gave a polite smile as the mother offered her anything, Ashara replied to her and then the father.
=Ashara= Just a glass of water, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Your daughter is very gifted. In ways you, nor I suspect she, even knows. We at the Temple, while some are like you and your partner, others like myself are gifted in the ways of the Force. Your daughter is like me in that regard. I wish for her to be able to explore this gift and expand on it in an environment that is safe for her and others. Because eventually, if left untrained, bad things may happen to Force-sensitives. But this is not to say that she will not be allowed to visit, and I'm sure you will be welcome to come to the Temple. But if she is to learn to how to properly control and hone her powers, it will require much time and dedication, something that can not happen while also trying to lead a life outside the Temple. Do you understand?

Kalene’s mother have a quick nod before heading off, returning shortly with a glass of water for the woman. Taking her place behind her husband, they listened as she spoke, bringing about a new revelation. For the longest time, they said nothing, simply looking at Ashara and processing the information. It was certainly a lot to take in. The Force, the potential within their daughter, and the risks that could befall her without receiving any training.
Several minutes passed before the two looked at each other and gave a nod, coming to the same conclusion. Her mother then left them, moving back to help Kalene pack. Her father then took a seat, his hands coming together as he thought more on the matter. He had been right both about his daughter and about the reason Ashara asked for his daughter to go there. While he didn’t expect the Force to be involved, having thought it nothing more than rumors and stories, he did believe his daughter to possess a gift and the reason she was asked to go wasn’t so much tending to the gardens but learning how to use her gift. Finally, he spoke.
"The Force. Never have I given much thought to the stories I’ve heard but I always believed Kalene had a gift of some sort. I just could never make out what. I’m guessing it’s this power that allows her to grow such vibrant flora. But if going with you to learn to how to best use this power is for the best, then please, take care of our daughter."
It wasn’t but a few minutes later that Kalene came out with her mother in tow, backpack thrown across her back and a couple duffle bags packed with clothes and a few personal items.

Something seemed to strike Ashara deep within her at the Fathers concern for his daughter. A sensation Ashara had no personal experience with. She stood and crossed to the man, she put a hand on his shoulder.
=Ashara= I will not betray your trust. She will be taken care of, and you are free to come see her at the Temple.
As Kalene returned, Ashara turned and gave her a warm smile. She knew she would not be able to replace what Kalene was leaving behind. But it would be in the end, the best for the young woman. It would give her a chance at having even more opportunities than she could ever imagine. Ashara moved over and offered to help with some of the duffle bags. She urged Kalene to say one more goodbye to her parents.

Kalene's father simply looked at Ashara as she spoke. He didn't need to say anything. He could see it in her eyes, hear it in her voice. This woman believed strongly in what laid within his daughter and desired to nurture it properly. She would be well taken care of. Smiling he nodded as Kalene and his wife entered the area.
Being allowed to say her farewells, Kalene hugged both of her parents as they told her to keep her head up and continue strivibg for all she sought to achieve. After a few minutes, she picked up the dufflebag Ashara hadn't grabbed. Smiling bright, she spoke with certainty and excitement. "I'm ready to go."

A kind smile greeted Kalene, as Ashara lead her out of the home. She would lead the girl to a waiting speeder. One that had been provided by the Temple and with only a nod to the driver, the two women were whisked away to the Temple of Karabor. Ashara asked to hear more about Kalene and her interestes as they traveled to the Temple, eager to hear anything and everything about this young lady who had appeared in one of her most vivid visions.
