*The fight picks up the intensity quickly. In a flurry of light and the crackling of sabers connecting, Monte centers himself and moves with the flow of the action. The most educated of fighters in the Imperial Knights were all doing their best to kill Monte as he requested. And they do do their best, but Monte has an answer to their every move through foot work and blade work. The attacks differ, some are precise and calculated while others are aggressive and wild. Block after block with precise and calculated parries. This lasts only for several minutes, it seems the four have to shift in their tactics. A welcomed break, albeit for different reasons. None of them were breathing too hard. Monte was calm and cool. Which unnerved some with a little more anger. Here was this pompous peacock taking on the best and he hardly even broke a sweat. There is a quick shuffle from all four. It seems they were about to attempt a collective battlemind. Which Monte was already in. Now for the real test.*

Calvin nodded when Panno asked him what seemed like another rhetorical question. He was in fact one of the last that Xeonon had brought here before his death. He thought he was the last one but he had no idea if he had brought any others after him. After some initial training he really dident see much of Xeonon, and then Prakith happened...
As far as I know I was. I believe those were the exact words that he used when teaching me how to access the force. It usually works for me, although sometimes it almost seems as if the "river" gets dammed without warning.
The Jedi and the Sith. Just over a year ago those two groups seemed about as foreign and strange and some characters and cults in some of the holonovles he would read in his spare time. Even though he had been going to an academy on Naboo he really didn't know anything about them, or the force. Now it seemed as if he were in one of his holonovles. While he still hasn't met a Jedi or a Sith, he was not part of their world, be it in a different corner of it then them.
As they walked Calvin walked slightly behind and to the left of Panno. He listened to what Panno said about the force. It was a completely different philosophy then what Xeonon had taught him. It sounded interesting, just not as easy as what he had been doing up till now.
That sounds, well different.

I only mention it because of what you are about to see. I'm not sure about how he does it, but this man let's the force guide him in his training. He uses not only his eyes, but also the force to swing his blade.
He knew it sounded crazy. Letting tiny microscopic beings direct where you swing to block something that can kill you. However if you think about it, it's just a symbiotic relationship with the smaller weaker form doing what it can to help the one it's surviving off.
Having worked with Monte for a while he knew about this mans almost obsessive need to perfect every aspect of the way of Imperial Knights. Be it their dress, their walk, talk and even lightsaber forms. As such when he walked into the room where Monte was he let out a grin at what he saw. One against four was not easy task, especially using a form mention to protect others and not yourself. Looking over to Calvin he winked.
Looks like you get to see some of what I was leading up to in action.
Thumbing his own activator the Dressellian was rewarded with the hymn of his silver blade. Unlike the rest of the order though, his had a slight bend in the blade making it look like a Katana the ancient Jedi would use. Walking over to join the fray he lashed out his blade, not at Monte but to catch one of the four lightsabers. He saw the one coming for his chest and hoped Monte understood what he was using if not he would be in a pickle. His mind however was in a different place having learned to think without thinking. He was wondering how Calvin would approach the situation. Would he stand and watch or would there be a threesome making an impenetrable wall of silver?

*Monte is in a complete confidence and trust with battlemind. His thoughts are with the Force as he allows it to guide his every movement. He has no doubt in his mind in a moving meditation. He is the very definition of composed and poised. He notes that Panno and the new recruit Calvin enter, but continues on with his experiment he calls the "Living Shield" technique. He moves as if he has someone directly behind him. As if he were protecting some invisible person. Even as he gives a sharp mule kick to stop a forward advance of an aggressive Knight, Monte does it like he is kicking around someone behind him. Coupled with battlemind and Vonil he comes nearer to perfecting this theoretical and radical technique. Just as Mace Windu develop Vaapad, Monte applies the same techniques. Concentrating on the Force and letting it guide him, he lets himself become a conduit of the aggression being unleashed on him and focusing it right back at his attackers. Using their own energy against them. It seems theory has become law. Monte knows it and feels it as well. He has found a way to protect others by becoming a conduit for the Force itself. When Panno jumps in Monte smirks his telltale grin he's notorious for, and the battle pauses for a moment. The Force lets him know that Panno would parry the attack at Monte's chest so he did nothing to prevent it, and trust his brother to come to his aid. With the odds becoming two on one, the other brothers halt for a moment to switch their tactics. Taking on Monte's defense was difficult enough but Panno's Ishu was legendary among the Knights. His only better would be Xeonon himself. Monte finally has a chance to take a deep breath through his nose and concentrate further and turn with his back to Panno. They stood together in solidarity back to back. This shit was about to get real.*

As Calvin watched the one vs. four sparring match that was going on in front of him he watched almost in awe. From the few moments he had watched the match, the four opposing knights did not seem as if they were holding back, but the man in the middle, who he guessed was this Count that Panno had come to see.
It was only another moment before he watched as Panno jumped into the frey, and joined the battle with Monte. From what he saw of this man fighting he guessed another person would help to even the odds but the fight was still two vs. four. They were still out maned, although as it seems, not outclassed.
Calvin was unsure of what to do. It looked when they had entered the room as if this Count had everything under control, but then Panno jumped in and seemed to seamless weave his way into the fight. He felt like he should join his master and the man they were here to see, although he did not know if it was his place to interfere.
Calvin closed his eyes for a moment. He remembered Panno's words about the force but he still did not understand them. Instead he again remembered what Xeonon had told him and when he opened his eyes again he saw the battle in a different light, like he could tell where each person would strike and where their opponent would block.
After only a few moments of watching Panno and Monte fight back to back he had his answer. In one swift motion he drew and ignited his lightsaber and ran the short distance between himself and the melee. As he joined the fight he parried a blow that had been aimed at the side of the two men.

Nothing says bonding like a slightly planned slightly unplanned sparring match. Shifting his weight onto his right leg and shifting his stance so now, with Clavin a they formed a triangle. Ignoring the blade beside him that Clavin blocked he expanded his consciousness so that he could; through the force feel the minds of those around him he brushed ever so slightly against his allies so they could feel his intentions he struck out with the force. Defensively of course. Looking at the Knight to Calvins right he pushed the mans wrist up leaving a momentary opening for the man should he so choose, or indeed see it.
All of this happening in a few heart beats he let his mind drift ever so slightly. To the smoke on the horizon. Where there was smoke there was fire, and on Aaragu that could spell disastrous. He hadn't heard anything about an attack, nay he hadn't heard much of anything for a while. The comms were down apparently planet wide. An ongoing problem for the past couple years. Despite Delvaradus improving the economy and relations between everyone communication arrays across the Deep Core had been on the fritz. Being this infamous with the force though told him this was something deeper. Something much worse than some repairs or a downed transceiver. All of this couldn't have happened at a worse time; whatever it may be. Monte and him had been close to finishing their gift for the new Empress. They were almost ready to leave and now smoke in a usually docile city.

*Just as it was starting to get good, it came to an abrupt halt. Something had caught everyone's singular attention and just like that the sparring match was over. Each Knight deactivated their respected saber and made their way out of the Training room. It seemed trouble had found it's way in the city of New Escrow. Training would have to wait, the real thing was taking shape. Monte nods to Panno without so much as uttering a word to him. He would follow Panno's lead to where ever they would be needed.*

Nodding to the departing Knights Panno pivoted and looked at both the humans with him before closing his eyes. This alarm couldnt have come at a worse time, whatever was happening in the city was bad. Bad enough for the local enforcement to call in the military
How close are we to being done that gift to the new Emperor Monte?
Not that he really needed to hear the answer, they had been working on the thing since the announcement was made about the IR joining the Empire. A gift saying that the Knights would work to preserve the Empire that was growing from the ashes of this Sith run group. No he had helped forge some of the component of it, it was more a question asking what the man wanted to do.

It seemed as if just as he had jumped into the frey, the fight was over. Not because one side was victorious, but because something was wrong. He deactivated his lightsaber as he took a deep breath. he was not sure what was about to come, but he guessed all of his training up to this point would probably seem like nothing in comparison.
Calvin stood at the side of his master as he talked with the man who he assumed was this count. He was curious about what this gift he was talking about was. Polotics may not be his fortay but he at least knew about the political situation going on, although he didn't complacently understand it.

*Monte takes a deep breath and relaxes. He knows whatever is happening in town was probably a direct result with the IR joining the Galactic Empire. This was a move that not everyone agreed with, and it seems the sentiment was given an entity to act behind. Enough to call the attention of the military and the big guns. Panno looks at him and Calvin. The Weapon! Seven Hells he had almost forgotten. It just needed some final touches. Nothing major, but it was something Panno wanted to go over before presenting it to Lord Sinistra. Monte didn't like the move himself but it wasn't his place to disagree. His job was to protect. Npthing more.*
"It just needs some polishing and a once over. Pending your approval of course."
*Monte knew how much of a perfectionist Panno is really. Something he understood quite well. Being a perfectionist himself. Good just wasn't good enough, it had to be beyond great. An immeasurable success. Scrutinizing every detail no matter how minor. This would have to wait. Trouble had shown up in town.*

Walking through the Training Rooms with the two visitors the Master Armourer walked with a purpose in his step. Despite being called training rooms, they were more a large open room that simulated multiple scenarios. Desert, urban, forest hell even a volcano simulation was known to be used from time to time. For what he wanted he would go to to an open corridor. All along the way they would pass Knights dueling, one on one all the way up to a large pitched battle of 12 vs 4. He paused for a moment both for his benefit and Anyas. This was the perfect example of both Ishu and Vonil, with the attackers not being able to get through the defensive blocking of the 4 Imperial Knights.
After a few minutes of this they carried on to their destination, finally Panno talked.
Now you can see just why we use these forms. Those lightsabers were a blur of motion, yet none of the outnumbered defenders fell. When we mix these forms with our gauntlets, an outnumbered force can easily defeat their opponents. To my knowledge only our force sect focus only on combat.
As if to prove his point now the duels petered out into people using firearms both blaster and slugs. Fighting was their sole focus. Doing whatever it took to protect their Empire end Emperor. Finally though they got to an unoccupied portion of the training room.
Im throwing you in the deep end here. Do you want to start or should I?
No matter who started, four other Imperial Knights would jump in. One to the side of the defender and three to the attacker.

Anya followed behind Panno as they progressed through the training rooms. During the moment they stopped to watch the duel amongst the group, she stared in amazement at what she saw. She didn't realize how well such forms could help defend, even when greatly out numbered.
Progressing on, they finally came to an open room in which Panno finally spoke. She merely nodded as she allowed the scene she just saw tie with his words. After that small bit, she had no reason to doubt the capability of the Knights. When he asked who would start, she simply held out a hand to him.
"It is you who is the master of these forms, so I believe it is you who should start." As she spoke she held her right hand out to the side, her saber lifting from her belt and spinning into her hand before igniting the golden blade.

Panno nodded, and his silver lightsaber flipped on with a snap-hiss followed by four more. Of the five silver lightsabers only his had a slight curve in it further showing his separation from the other Knights.
Remember Anya, dont defend yourself. Trust your ally to defend you and he will trust you to do the same.
With that the game of cat and mouse began with Panno starting swinging first towards Anya then the others followed suit. His own strike went high, with a step from his right foot he brought his curved blade down towards her head. A whirlwind of activity as two slashes went towards the man beside her. All three strikes were hoping to cause some damage. Or at least practice the manuver, if it looked like the attack would strike at the last second the lightsaber would deactivate.
The man beside her; Marcus, brought his own blade up and ignored the two coming towards his chest as he caught Pannos blade inches from her head. Imbuing his arm with the force he forced the blade away from her head.
I wouldnt let the alien touch you darling.
His own voice raspy, as if he had smoked one to many cigarettes in his life. In actuality it was damaged from a duel years ago, under his armour a vicious scar was covered. He moved into position to defend Anyas back, literally going back to back with her as the others spread out around them.

Anya didn't nod to Panno's words, only dropped her head slightly letting her focus sharpen. In the end, it would have been four on two, odds she wasn't familiar with. All her training had been one-on-one, though she had gone through many types of combat to best help her in fighting with and against. What would make it hard was the fact she had to spread her focus over all of the attackers for any of them could strike either the man or Anya. It was almost like whack a mole, waiting and trying to move quick enough to help them. In all of this, she was going to have to let go of her defenses and rely on another to help her. A man she didn't know, or how he fought. She hoped that they wouldn't end up running into each other trying to defend each other.
These thoughts flew by in a flash as Panno made his attack, the other following. She stepped back on her right foot as Panno made his move against her, her instincts to defend trying to kick in. With her focus spread, she was able to make out the two that made their attacks soon after Panno made his move. They weren't for her, obviously directed towards her partner. Luckily for the timing of the attacks, Panno's made contact first as Marcus blocked his attack. As he pushed the blade from her head, she ducked a little, stepping in front of him and brought her saber around her with both hands to block one of attacks, maneuvering it with her momentum to meet the other as well. With the step, had her saber not been bent back as far as it had and Panno's being pushed back a tad from Marcus, it would have been a slash at Panno's torso.
Letting her left hand leave the hilt, it navigated just below it, palm facing the two attackers. She released a Force Push at them then spun so that her back meet his, her saber coming up in front of her with both hands.
"I will try to keep that in mind."

Not expecting the force push the two Imperial Knights where blown back a few feet. More than that it took them out of the equation for the next few seconds which left Panno to take on the two of them at once.

Holding his blade out in front of him at waist hight, he stepped forward and slashed his lightsaber towards Marcus. With the direction Anya is looking Panno is at her 6 oclock with the other two being at 2 and 11. Swinging towards Marcus the Imperial Knight raised his gauntlet to block Pannos swing, he had to thumb the activator off or cut off the mans wrist. Taking the opportunity to see if Anya had all her 7 senses in use he activated it again after the mans gauntlet. A cheap move in any fight but in this case it was saving the man a lot of pain.

Though the others were temporarily down for the moment, she couldn't let down on her senses. Gavin had already started training her to hone her senses without the Force, allowing even better enhancement with it. While her eyes stayed focus on the two in her eye sight, she focused on Panno, using the Force to help determine when and how he moved.
(Assuming a downward strike) The moment she heard the saber beginning its movements, feeling the tension around Panno grow from the muscle movements, the others had yet to move. Bringing her left leg around, she spun around Marcus, seeing Panno's strike coming down at him. Raising her saber, she attempted to block it, but it passed by as Panno turned it off. Quickly, her left hand made an adjustment on how it gripped the hilt, moving up on top of her right on the top side like a wall. Using her left hand to immediately stop the flow of her saber, she pushed down as Panno's came back online to slam down on it to hold it. She kept it there for only a moment before seeing an opportunity herself, her regular training taking over. She slashed up from Panno's saber towards his head, ready to deactivate her saber before meeting its target.
(assuming side strike from opposite her spin) As she spun, she saw that her approached was too slow. If it hadn't been for Panno's deactivating his saber she would have failed her attempt to save him, though she had already. As he reactivated it, his path was around towards her as she meet it. However, the position did nothing to keep Marcus safe, she knew. Letting go, just before the impact, she brought her hand up underneath her upward facing saber to grab Panno's wrist, allowing for Marcus to gain an opportunity to deliver a suggested strike against him.
(assuming side strike from same way as spin) As she spun, she had the opportunity to stop his attack before reaching Marcus. Though it was a futile attempt as the blade was turned off, letting it pass by her saber and Marcus's gauntlet. She let her movement continue though, seeing the attack as a Trakata move. As the blade activated again, she meet the blade with hers, its angle straight down. She had stepped just in front of Marcus, passing him only slightly. With his saber trapped on the one side, Marcus had a free attempt to try and strike at Panno from the other.

Despite being 10 Anya was sure knowledgeable about the ways of lightsaber combat, and obviously a fast tutor. Although she had managed to step around Marcus, the opposite direction of his swing there was just a moment to smile. The young prodigy had made a mistake, she was fallible. It was always the first few seconds of combat that decided the pace and she had set a good one.
Feeling her hand on his wrist (second option) he was impressed. Despite her young age she had a strong grip and managed to hold his hand there. Had she been older it might have hurt. He would hate to talk to the first man that tried to bed her. With his arm now jerked into the air Panno looked beyond her into Marcuses eyes. He watched as he swung, knowing he had no way to protect himself he reached out with his free hand just as Anya had. His target though was not a wrist but the whole body. If he managed it he would grab Anyas shoulder and use her as a human shield against Marcus's horizontal slash.
Should she not react in time Marcus would turn of his lightsaber and do the same move Panno had attempted against him, except this time it would work and he would be happy for his armour.
Good good Anya, but you left Marcus's back undefended.
True to his point the two other Knights were back, and would be able to strike just after Marcus finished his attack on Panno.

Indeed she was young. Ten years old was she when Gavin found her on Kiffu in an orphanage. Then she wanted nothing more than to be normal and accepted. But that was five years ago. She was fifteen now, strong and learning quickly. Everything, to her, was a lesson to be learned.
She knew she had let Marcus down when the strike came from opposite her spin. Her senses were sharp, but defending another was far different than defending oneself. However, she had succeeded in stopping the next attack Panno could make and left him open to Marcus. But Panno was no fool. Despite trying to fight with honor, one did what was needed to survive in battle and she was in the perfect place to be taken as a hostage or shield. That was what became of her. She felt his grip on her shoulder as she was navigated into the path of Marcus's blade. Still, she kept Panno's blade held in place, keeping him from making a strike otherwise.
When he spoke about leaving Marcus open, in her mind, she agreed. This type of defense was difficult to grasp knowing how to properly protect another against a number of opponents while never leaving him open. But she wasn't without her tricks. There were two options in her mind, though she chose the more subtle way.
"Really?" It was as she said as she focused on the other two. With her being held by Panno and her grip on him, the most she had to worry about was Marcus hitting her. Her focused directed straight to them. In those five years, she made everyday a day of training, taking ever moment to learn and develop. Most of the powers she learned was all the core powers as well as Force Barrier. Her training had been well spent as she no longer needed her hands to help direct the ability. Her mind focused on the Force behind Marcus and created a barrier there a moment before the attacks came.

Not a bad defence he had to admit. He would not have allowed her to be injured had she not figured something out. Once it was obvious she was out of harms way he sent her back into Marcus, hopefully into a tangle of limbs. He doubted it would happen but that was his intent.
Not bad. You have the basics down. You saw an opening and you took it, and no matter what the holovids say sometimes the best defence is offence is not always true. Once more then we switch sides yes?
This time Panno did not swing but rather went for a dirty tactic. He attempted to grip Anyas lower legs with the force and hold her in position. There would be no crushing, no pain, nor trying to move her. In fact it would be the opposite and maybe for the best at first. He would try to hold her in place as long as possible.
The two other Imperial Knights sensing what Panno was doing took the initiave. No words were said between the two, none were needed. One went for Anya the other for Marcus. What they did and your reaction I will leave up to you.

When Panno pushed Anya into Marcus, she extinguished her saber for an instant to ensure she didn't run him through. She ended up colliding into his chest, arms close to her chest. It almost looked like she ran into him as if he was a lover she hadn't seen in some time..
As she pushed back from him to get her bearings, she heard Panno's words. Once more they'd defend before she attempted the offensive style. She started to turn to him when she stopped mid step. Her legs no longer moved as if held down by an invisible force. She eyed Panno for a moment and the fact he didn't make a move. The position that left her in was MArcus and Panno on each side of her, Panno her right, Marcus her left. However, she had no time to think on trying to get free as the other two attacked. She was unable to move, so if Marcus was to defend her, he'd have to come to her. Of course, that would draw his attacker closer as well. Either way she wasn't able to move, and the attacks came too quick to disrupt Panno.
With her stuck in one place, her attacker came in with a straight strike at her back. Defending such an attack without any ability to turn enough would be difficult. Luckily, Marcus was able to get behind her and defend her back easy enough, bringing his attacker to attack him behind. His attacker was still on her side, however, the attack was out of her reach coming from the same direction as the other attacker. Seeing no other option, she let go of her saber and cast her left hand down to her side as she looked behind her. Her saber floated for a moment before responding, the blade driving forward like a spear passed Marcus, tilting up in time to block his attackers blade. Even with no one holding it, the saber held strong.
One thing she had practiced day in and day out for the past five years was her telekinesis. She sought to hone her abilities, never feeling they were adequate enough. But Gavin, while encouraging her to keep up training said her skills were sharp and she seemed to have an affinity for it, allowing them to enhance further. It was because of this he suggested Telekinetic lightsaber combat and so she did, making it her third chosen form.
However, she didn't just hold him. Her left hand moved quickly, going straight up then left to right. The saber responded accordingly, pushing her opponent's saber up before quickly shoving itself towards the one Marcus engaged where it tilted on its side and knocked him in the head with the pommel before flying over to the first guy and doing the saber to him. The saber then flew into left hand where she brought it in front of her and threw it towards Panno, letting it spin like a disc.
