She was still trying to adjust her vision back, everything appearing as blurs of motion. But the harsh, intense blade of light came through quite vividly and clearly. Causing her to bring her hands and arms up defensively around her head as she curled up into a ball. Her brain could barely process everything that was happening, as she broke down and started sobbing. Flashes of memory assaulted her of the cave, the gathering and the death and destruction that had been wrought upon her village and people dasixa dary nenx ztaoseni nun! Her plea to not be hurt had come out in her people's native tongue, the only language she had known for years. It was all her brain could have processed in that moment and made her speak

Tala’s stared down, shocked, as the girl curled up and said something in a language she didn’t recognise. She was clearly upset, that was for sure, and Tala lowered her weapon and kneeled down. “Are you ok?” she asked instinctively, but quickly realised the girl may not know basic judging by the language she had just spoken. As Tala disengaged her green saber she put her hand out for the girl, hoping to show violence was not her intention. The girl had appeared to be pleading before, clearly Tala hadn’t made a great impression, but it was obvious this girl wasn’t a threat to her. If she was then she was doing a brilliant job of faking. Gently her hand rested on the girls shoulder and she gave a smile, unsure what to do as the girl appeared to be panicking but Tala figured being kind should work. Hopefully anyway. “Hey…” she let the small word fill the air between them hoping that the girl would understand what she was trying to communicate- I’m not here to hurt you and it’s ok. Tala then waited, ready to spring back if the physical contact was not appreciated.

Ires stayed curled up in her protective ball position, her instincts kicking in heavily to protect her head and face and chest. She could live with injured limbs, but those areas she protected could lead to fatal outcomes. She couldn't see the lowered weapon, but she felt the other being kneel down beside her and speak in what seemed like a more gentle tone. But despite that, Ires still flinched when she felt the hand come to rest on her shoulder. Afraid she was about to be hurt.
But the pain she expected to follow never came. Instead the hand just stayed rested there as the stranger said something. It was a word that she shouldn't have understood, but yet somehow she did. No, whoever this person was had to be speaking the language of her people.
Ires lowered her hands then, revealing her purplish-blue skin and glowing blue eyes. Her vision slowly adjusting back as the shadow's slowly took a more solid form and allowed her to see the pale skin, green eyes, and brown hair of the girl who was kneeling next to her. Ires was pretty certain in that moment, that this girl could not speak the language of her people, but how else would Ires be able to understand that word H...hi...

As he followed toward and on board the transport awaiting them he, for the first time took actual note of her appearance, not that he was an expert on human species, but she did not appear to him old, yet she was very wise, not to mention more well versed in other religions and organisations then he first thought.
Yisex himself had studied the Jen'sarai. They were an interesting mix of Jedi and Sith philosophies, but she voukdnt have chosen a more apt organisation to make her point. It was a point of irony that Jen'saarai translated to hidden followers of the truth and yer what they adhered to originally as the truth was not strictly the truth."In my experience, truth is less solid than we like to believe and always is delivered and or held from a certain perspective, much like history truth tends to be written by victor. One must never blindly accept." He had learned early that scriptures and tomes only pointed to ideas, the only facts were locations and to some degree whom or what was present, as for any events, well that all depended upon the source of the information, the author and the original purpose of the document. The LAAT Gunship was moved into position before it's repulsor lifts and engines kicked in, allowing it to lift off out of the Hangar and make its way across the surface of Ossus toward the Great Jedi Library. Aurora was indeed quite young, but years of battle and conflict had matured her much faster than most. She'd seen people on both sides of the conflict, most of them were just trying to get by in life. It certainly had affected her perspective on lifeWise words and views, Yisex... There is hope for you yet... The trip from Emberford to the Library was not overly long, but one that was primarily spent in silence. As soon as the LAAT touched down in one of the hangar bays, the doors slid open. Allowing Aurora to disembark first, the Taung Warriors following suit as she turned to YisexTime to go book hunting...

The Raven-class Shuttle made the short trip from Knossa Spaceport to the Great Jedi Library thanks to the map that Yar Sho had provided Valon. Though, if the Lightforged was honest, it would have been difficult to miss the building when flying south as indicated by Lord Malvern. A brief comm exchange between the Raven's pilot and the Library's air traffic control sorted out any misunderstandings and got them granted landing permission in a spot on the vast estate. While it might have been simpler to catch an air or land speeder here, Valon preferred to keep the Raven, and its passengers, close. Especially if this all turned out to be some elaborate hoax or trap. He didn't want them used as hostages or leverage against him.
Once the Raven was landed, Valon descended the landing ramp and made his way across the grounds to the central building. His exploration of the Great Library was set to begin. His primary targets of knowledge was that concerning the Jedi Lords, and anything that might relate to his people or those like him

Ever since she'd tumbled out of the archway into the Great Library, Iresette had taken refuge within its walls. She was in a strange and foreign land filled with people of all different shapes and sizes. She hadn't felt comfortable and had resisted the efforts of the girl she had first met upon arriving to get her to leave the Temple and meet the grown ups here. The constant activity throughout the Library at all hours meant she could easily slip about the place and keep her presence hidden for the most part. She mostly observed those who visited the Library, watching those who regularly visited.
After a time, she started reading through the books and other reading material. The initial shock that she could understand the writing had lasted for quite some time, but eventually it wore off. While she still had no idea how she could comprehend the alien texts, her curiosity was captured by the content of what she read. In one section of the library she had stumbled across several texts and records relating to a place known as the Temple of Karabor and the Order of Knights that called it home. Some texts even spoke of a race of lightsiders that had constructed the Temple. Their likeness to her own people had causes Ires to seek out all of the materials she could on this place, in hopes that perhaps some of her people might still be out there.
Her daily routine had consisted of getting some food and then heading into the same section of the library to work through the available materials and see if there were any other works that were referenced in those she had read. However, her usual routine was interrupted as she was making her way through the Library and caught sight of massive male figure with long white hair and what appeared to be golden metal embedded in his skin. There was something about him that sparked recognition from her, beyond just that he looked like her.
Sticking to the shadows, she trailed him through the Library to observe him

Valon had expected some hesitance or questions when he showed up to the Library. For him, everyone and everything was different and alien. But for them, he was just one among many different races that called Ossus home and that visited the Great Library. The staff had been quite accommodating, but were even more so when Valon mentioned he was here as a guest of Lord Malvern. The Librarian he met with guided him through the Library, giving him a tour of several different area's, before reaching a corner of one of the spaces where knowledge about various Order's was kept. The Librarian took down a couple books regarding the Jedi Lord's of the past as well as those concerning the modern incarnation. Valon took a seat at one of the reading desks as the books were deposited for him, before the Librarian collected a couple more tomes You may find these additional books of interest. The Th'tremsi are the only race I've seen in any of these books that look like yourself. Perhaps there is some connection there? I'll be available if you need me... Valon gave a bow of his head. He'd never heard of the species, but he knew the term in his own people's language I appreciate the diligent efforts. The Librarian shuffled off, allowing Valon to begin reading through the tomes before him. He started with those relating to the Jedi Lords, how the Order operated, how they had formed, who how they had come to Ossus. The minutes passed into hours as Valon took in as much information as he could about the Jedi Lords, marking several books and passages for later review. His curiosity quickly turning to the last couple of books that the Librarian had brought over regarding The Th'tremsi and a planet known as Talus. While he didn't expect to make any ground breaking revelations, He was curious to learn about those whom could be linked to his people.
As the hours passed, and the day drew to night, he finally took a break from his reading. He closed the book as he lifted his golden gaze toward the shelves opposite his position. He had sensed the presence of another following him when he arrived and watching him as he sat here reading. They hadn't said anything or made a move to approach him. Given they had specifically followed his tour path, he knew it wasn't just a coincidence that they were near him. The fact they had left him along so long also meant they were not hostile. He breathed in, centering himself as he reached out with the Force Do you intend to keep spying on me stranger?

She'd been careful to remain as quiet as possible and not give away her presence as she'd followed him through the library. Between the overheard conversation during the trip, and her familiarity with this section of the library, she was fairly certain of which materials he was perusing. They were much the same as the one's she'd spent the last couple weeks reading through and studying. Much like her, he too seemed to be seeking the same or similar answers to her. Despite that, she still sat and watched him intently, wondering if perhaps he might find or read something which she had missed.
Her observation was soon cut off as the man seemed to sense her presence and called out. She hadn't seen anyone else around here, and she'd been careful. And yet, he seemed to know she was watching him. She'd heard stories of shamans and mages back upon her home world with similar such powers, able to see around them without having to look with their eyes. Her curiosity, she knew, would best be solved by coming out of hiding and facing him.
Gathering her courage together, she navigated around the stacks and came out into the clearing where the desks were located and stood behind him I had planned to, until I could figure out who and what you were...

Valon sat unmoving, waiting as he heard his hidden observe step out of the shadows and into the light. From what he could sense of them in the Force, he expected an adolescent of some alien species. No doubt curiosity drawing them over his strange appearance. The moment he heard her speak in his own language though, he froze as his expectations fell apart. He spun around as his golden gaze came upon the small blue skinned girl, taking in every detail. The tendrils hidden by her platinum blonde hair, the pair of protruding horns, and her almost iris-less blue gaze. The shocked look was clear on his features as he stared at her How... He took a couple steps forward, before taking a knee in front of her. Bringing his gaze level with her own. She had definitely spoken in the same language as his own, and she looked like one of his own people. But as far as he knew, they had all been wiped out and he was all that remained. But here was proof that at least one other of his people survived. At least, that was the most likely possibility. He pulled his shocked expression back under control Sorry... I am Valon, Lightforged of the Eredruin...

Ires had come to a stop just before Valon suddenly sun around, giving her a good view of his face. Save for his golden eyes and the metal embedded in his features, they did indeed look very similar. The look on Valon's face absolutely indicated he was thinking the same thing. She took a surprised step backward as Valon pushed himself out of his chair and took a near just in front of her. Despite having kneeled before her, He still dwarfed her in mass.
She'd been so taken in by everything, that she almost missed him introduce himself. Recognition almost instantly spreading across her face. Ires had heard the tales of the Lightforged from her mother's bedtime stories. He was a figure in Eredruin society thought to be the strongest warrior whom their people would turn to in their darkest hour to see the Light return. As she had grown up, she had started to dismiss these stories as just bed time tales used to help little children get to sleep. But now, here she was standing before a Lightforged... or well... THE Lightforged.
In truth, she didn't really know whether it was singular or plural. Did the same Lightforged live throughout the ages in hiding? or was one created when the Eredruin need one? These were all questions she would find out the answer to I'm Iresette, but you can call me Ires... You are the Lightforged after all... But how? Are you really Eredruin? I thought I was the last one... After... She let out a solemn sigh, recalling the events that had happened to her people

He tentatively probed the Force as she introduced herself as Iresette, still within the language of the Eredruin. He could feel the pain in her words as she spoke of the destruction of their home world. It was unfair that someone so young had been forced to endure such horrors. But at the same time, some part of him was grateful she had survived. He paused as the Force flowing around her seemed... abnormal. Not in a corrupted evil way, but just unlike anything he had experienced before. There was certainly the flow of the Light, but it seemed to cocoon around her like a protective barrier. He gently placed his right hand on her shoulder It seems we both thought we were the only survivor... But yes, I am indeed of the Eredruin. The invaders captured me as I tried to fight them off... It is how I survived. What of yourself? I do not recall mention of them also taking a child prisoner... How did you escape?

Memories and dreams of her... escape from her home world still haunted her. She remembered the fear of running and taking refuge in a cave and having to say goodbye to her mother as a wall of light formed inside a stone archway. She also had vague memories of the stone archway collapsing and trapping her as she fell asleep. Her small hands gripped onto his wrist, as his hand continued to rest upon her shoulder. She could feel the warmth and power of the light emanating from him and flowing through the contact points between them. Reassuring her that she was safe right now I... I wasn't captured. My mother took me to a cave near our village where some sort of... portal was. I remember a wall of light coming to life in it, and then the next thing I remembered was waking up here in the Library several weeks ago...

If his curiosity had been piqued already, her answer would have done so. While several weeks was a relatively vague answer and could mean a great length of time, months would have been a much more commonly used phrase for the length of time that had passed. Truth be told, it must have been a year or two now since the massacre had occurred on what has been dubbed Argus. For Ires to say only weeks had passed meant that something had happened to her in the intervening time. Something which was likely related to the way in which the Light interacted with her. He gave a reassuring squeeze It's ok... You're safe now. I'm sorry for asking... But I am glad you survived. It's rare to be the last of something, but it is quite lonely... He regarded the young girl for a moment, knowing that one day she would take his place as the last of their people. But perhaps he could ensure she had people around her to help keep that loneliness away I cannot offer much, for I am not of the Jedi Lords that rule here... But how would you like to join me? Whether I stay and join or leave and seek others to whom to pledge myself, I think it would be good for both of us to stay together. That way I can teach you of our people and help you learn to control your powers. What do you say?

Ires smiled as she felt the squeeze on her shoulder, feeling the lingering sense of dread retreat back a little. He was right that it was indeed lonely thinking she was the only one of her people left alive. Surprise, however, quickly replaced everything as Valon asked if she would like to join him in his travels to learn from him. The somewhat chaotic mixture of emotions threatened to overwhelm her as she tried to process the offer. She was still quite young by her people's standards, despite being 17 years of age. Not to mention that she'd barely had time to come to terms with the fact that she was alone now and had to make decisions for herself.
But his offer did mean he would be in charge and she could learn from the Lightforged himself. Something which was an honour, as far as her mother's stores had told her.
She stared into his golden glowing eyes for a moment. Weighing up what answer to give. As far as she knew, the Jedi Lords didn't even know she was here, and as far as anyone else was concerned, Valon was one of her people. So ultimately, he was the only one with a claim on deciding her future I think... I would like that very much. I have read a lot about those similar to our people, but nothing from our home world... It would be an honour...

He smiled, glad that Ires had agreed to follow along and learn of their people. They would last a little longer before fading into obscurity No... It is my honour to pass on what I know... He got up and moved back over to his seat, motioning for Ires to join him. The books and resources were all still very much open and on display. There was research he wanted to finish up first, concerning the present Jedi Lords, but also the order from Talus Perhaps you might help me understand what you have read already? The more we each understand, the better off we will be in the future. Maybe we can organise a trip to Talus, and see if the Temple still stands and if they have any records? He suspected that Lord Malvern would likely have some questions, but he seemed like a good person not likely to interfere. It was a risk telling him of Ires' existence, but if Malvern was indeed to be trusted, it was better off not to lie to him

She paused a moment as he rose up and moved over to his seat once more, before following a few moments later and taking a seat next to him. She practically knew the books back to front in terms of their content that related to the Th'tremsi. A part of her got excited about the idea of visiting Talus and the Temple that had been built there. It was a good chance their people were related, and they could learn more about their own people I suppose I can tell you what I have learned... But a trip to the Temple would be really neat! She rummaged around through the books and brought forward several illustrations as she spoke, explaining what she knew to Valon

The transport ride from the Praxeum in Knossa out to the Great Jedi Library was a relatively short and uneventful trip. A quick exchange occurred before the transport was cleared for landing in the Libraries central hangar. Aurora once again took the lead, showing Synala to her temporary quarters to drop off any belongings and then headed down to one of the training rooms in the Library basement. A large viewport occupied one wall, behind which a number of Jedi Lords sat to view the duel between Aurora and Synala Narz. However, to prevent any anxiety, the window was polarized to black so that the audience was all but invisible.
Aurora took out a practice saber and activated it as she waited for Synala to do the sameI'm ready, we can go begin when you are ready...

Disembarked the transport and followed after Lady Aurora. She dropped off her possessions which were few. A change of Padawan robes, a spare comlink and a spare green-bladed lightsaber (which had belonged to her old Master). Then the pair left the temporary accommodation and moved to a training room. She picked up a training lightsaber and ignited it. She moved into the stance of Ataru and took on a deep breath. "I'm ready '' There were some knots in Synala's stomach as she was hoping to impress. She then hesitated, should she be bold and play the first move? What would the Lady think of her if she did? Hopefully she would be impressed. So Synala then jumped forward and angled her lightsaber to aim for the Lady's left shoulder.

Aurora had hoped Synala would make the first move, since she'd left it open for as much. It would give Synala the best chance of starting things when she was ready. And sure enough, the Mirialan girl cam through and charged forward to strike. Sensing the attack to come, she twisted the blade around and swung upwards across her body to parry the strike as her shoulder and try and arc Synala's blade off to the girl's left side. She'd take a defensive mode at first, parrying and blocking attacks as they came before going on the offensive when the moment was right
