The amount of power she had drawn from the second current of the force unbalanced her, she hadn't prepared herself for the tax it would take on her body and the moment she noticed Xakire leave the ring - by academy rules marking her the victor she collapsed upon the ground her bloodied knees taking the brunt of the fall as her hearts raced one another into her throat. She lifted her head to see him already recovered moving towards her and even reaching out a hand to help her to her feet. His stamina was intense - sure he was breathing a little heavy, but he looked as though he was completely unaffected by the battle. A slight look of irritation crossed her eyes but it vanished the moment he spoke. She took a moment - as she took his hand and fumbled her way to her feet - to assess her situation and her options. She knew more than he was giving on that was certain, but there were gaps in what she was able to glean from his mind - he wasn't sure who he was."I know you're no student here... I know you probably could have killed me if you wished, perhaps even without drawing those blades you've attempted to keep hidden under your armor."She moved to brush off her skirt - cringing slightly as her skin was still quite raw from the repulse she had born most of the brunt of. She knew now why the older students wore armorweave cloth even under their cloaks when they fought one another - something she was never really able to afford herself. She smiled softly giving him a soft but amused smile."Considering you're here now, months following the BlackGuard take over of Iridonia... One could make the assumption you are associated with them in some way." Despite not showing it, Xakire was still in a great deal of pain but refused to show any indication of it. The blast of lightning was still stinging, he could still feel it. At the same time, the headache from whatever sorcery Vasari had been using was still present. "Yes," he chuckled, "I am no student here and yes, I probably could have killed you, though you did fight far better than I had expected." He wondered just how much of what Vasari was saying now she had deduced on her own and how much she had obtained from probing his mind.
"And yes, you are also correct that I am a member of the Blackguard....a member with a certain ammount of...influence...."
Xakire decided to continue trying to keep the identity of his master a secret...for now.
"The influence I have....perhaps it could be put to use to assist you. I belive that after what I have shown here, your talents are being wasted at this Academy. You are already incredibly strong, but you could be stronger. The Blackguard could use somone like you. I could use someone like you."
He smiled back at her as he spoke. Perhaps he could use Vasari to teach him how to better control his mental defenses, or even how to break others. Despite having his own interests in mind, he did also truely belive Vasari to be a potentially important addition to the Blackguard, and Xakire was loyal to his master and the Blackguard.

Vasari felt the pain Xakire was attempting to hide quite clearly through the force, but more than that the irritation he was going through to hide that pain from her. The effort brought a smile to her lips which she made no sign of hiding - one that could have clearly been a show of pride at being right about him on not one, but two fronts. She noticed as her mind continued to recover from the battle, a lingering affect of her use of Malacia upon the blood flow through his neck. She exhaled closing her eyes with a bit of focus and corrected the problem - with some effort on her part, the second current of the force was difficult to navigate as weak as she was.
"To be fair... I've only really been in a handful of fights, and never against an opponent as skilled as yourself, most of the swordsmen i've dueled against are not as fast as you. Lumbering beasts that believe simply because I am half their size that i am weak."
She exhaled softly soothing her mind and moving back within the easy flowing first current of the living force, feeling the effects of the redirection of blood within his body and soothing him with what would feel like a calming and warm presence radiating from her force signature.
"Influence..."
The word passed from her lips as a look of consideration took hold of her face - her tone was not taunting or sarcastic as she had been in the past, but there was something in her voice - like she was searching the force for the truth behind his words, to be sure it was not just some boast from an lower rung member with delusions of self importance. Without revealing what she had determined was a close approximation of the truth she looked back at him her expression as even as her voice had been as she listened to him.
"I did not come to this Academy to impress people with... influence. I came here because it is the greatest collection of knowledge on Iridonia... My talents, as you say, may be wasted here - but I still have much to learn from this place. I feel it."
Vasari could feel a swelling of pride from... whom she could only conclude was an apprentice of some kind... He carried himself as if he was in command, but there was a feeling about him, something that lead her to believe he was still learning to follow as well as lead. Still... he was closer to such a goal than she was - and a contact within the Blackguard was all she could hope for now that the Blademaster was gone - the only person at the Academy that knew the truth about what had happened in the Headmasters quarters the day of the invasion.
"However... I am not against being of use to someone like you."
She fluttered her eyes and smiled a soft teasing smile, knowing full well what he had meant and how it came across were two separate things. Looking down at her disheveled state and then back to her new sparing partner she whispered...
"I need a change of cloths, and I am sure you would like to freshen up... would you like to accompany me back to the Dorms and we can discuss more of this 'using' that you had in mind?"

Xakire chuckled at Vasari's comment on her previous duelling partners. He understood all to well what she meant. He knew better than to underestimate people based off their size or stature. "Yes, I know what you mean. Those lumbering beasts serve their purpose for the Blackguard, but few will ever make anything meaningful of themselves." He was supprised though that Vasari seemed to be less interested in his offer than he had expected. "This academy may be the greatest collection of knowledge on Iridonia....but it is by no means the greatest in the galaxy. Why confine yourself to the limits of this planet when you could have access to so much more? You could learn so much more."Xakire didn't hold Iridonia in particularly high esteem. Its terrain was mostly inhospitable and he found even being on the arid planet unpleasant. Nethertheless, he respected the academy and what his master was trying to build here, and so he tolerated the planet. "I certainly could use some...freshening up...I'm sure we can find much to discuss."He whispered back with a smile. He realised how his words had come accross in another way, though he didn't care to much.

Vasari tilted her head slightly as she moved back over towards the dueling table to stash her sparing saberstaff. She passed a few moments in silence as she listened to Xakire say his piece concerning Iridonia and after a few more moments of considering her words a bit more carefully she finally came to the conclusion that she could not argue with him and simply whispered back...
"Iridonia is home..."
As if that somehow answered all the mysteries in her thought process. It was rumored around the Academy that this 'Viox Savage' was a well respected High Admiral in the relatively newly formed First Order, and that he was made Grand Moff over this sector of First Order space, but it seemed to her that an admiral so respected could have had any station he wanted - so why Iridonia other than simple truth. Iridonia was his home.
"Come on..."She called, beckoning him with a friendly smile as she turned and walked down the steps from the sparing circles along the red dirt path leading back towards the Academy proper, and the larger buildings near the end where the students were housed."I've got to stop by my room for a change of cloths at the least..."The sway of her hips as she walked in front of him was not as drastic as it was before - she was no longer attempting to distract him with her figure as she worked her way into his mind - after the fight had ended she had retreated granting him as much privacy of thought as she could - still she felt his thoughts upon the first current of the force - it was like that for any mind she had touched that deeply, unless of course they were trained to prevent their own thoughts from wandering, something it did not seem to her like he was very disciplined in, if he was ever really trained at all.

Casually making his way through the academy, Gavin couldn't help but feel amused. There had been none to keep him from entering the academy, but in all honesty, guards weren't really needed. None came to the surface without clearance, meaning none who were unauthorized would be capable of landing here. Well, not unless someone with great stealth technology made an attempt. But that wasn't what he found interesting. It was the looks from all those he passed. Curiosity, agitation, even contempt reflected in nearly all eyes he came into his sight. He couldn't blame them, however. It didn't matter if they knew he was coming or was just a random arrival. He wasn't someone recognized as a being of power among the Sith, be it the Blackguard as a whole, the academy, or to any other Sith group. And he certainly didn't give them reason to think otherwise. No doubt they were feeling out his presence, his power. But it would be nothing spectacular to them, he was sure. At most, his power suggested someone who just passed from being an apprentice to a master, if not just a little further along. Even some of the apprentices and acolytes would seem as strong, if not a bit stronger. And with no alignment attached to it, he would appear as nothing to them. It would only further increase his amusement should he start teaching here.
He could already imagine how the classes would be at the start. Laughed at, ignored, challenged, just to name a few possibilities. And coupled along with some of his beginning steps of teaching and training, no doubt he'd be seen as pathetic. To the masters and other instructors, he'd seem weak and lacking, especially since he wouldn't teach as a Sith. His thoughts and philosophies were different than theirs. And that was fine. He wouldn't teach his beliefs that contested with that of the academy and the order, but he wouldn't conform to their practices either. The point he had made to Viox was the teachings to enhance those learning here and take them to new heights, something he was certain he could deliver on, once he got passed the initial speed bumps.
Making his way into the training area, he merely leaned against the wall, watching the classes that were currently taking place. He had learned a bit about what it was like within the order of the Sith, including the teachings. It was harsh, to say the least, but it also felt unnecessary in some aspects. The fight amongst peers to obtain power and knowledge while leaving those seen as weak behind. Sometimes, it led to death for some. Such a waste. There was always potential within anyone. The task wasn't seeing who had it, but seeing how to bring it out. Even the most powerful student could be overshadowed by one considered weak, simply because he possessed the greater mind. All traits could be assets if the time was taken to nurture them. Maybe he could bring that to this academy, bring a greater form of unification that had never been seen in the ranks of the Sith. And from it, possibly define a new chapter for the Sith and what others saw when they looked at them.
He watched on for a good thirty minutes, watching only the students and instructors. He cared not about the equipment or the state of the academy. This was what he wished to see. And in that time, he found a reason to want to be here. Had these students learning in a way that he himself believed and saw, he would have walked away, finding no purpose. But that fire grew inside him. All his time had been spent alone and in exile, only finding a select few to train in his ways. here, he could teach so many more and carve a new path in the history of the Force and what it meant to be a warrior within it.
He would seek out the headmaster, that was certain. The question now was would he be accepted? Would he be seen as weak, incompetent? Would his methods be considered pathetic and useless? Only time would tell. But he decided to not waste anther minute. He glanced over and noticed a student not far away. There were no teachers or any others with him. perhaps he was taking a break or was about to begin some solo training. Walking up to him, he spoke. "Sorry for intruding, but perhaps you can do me a favor. Could you take me to your headmaster?" His voice was calm and easy when addressing the student.
The boy, an Iridonian, stopped what he was doing and looked Gavin over. Gavin felt the alteration of the Force, the kind used when feeling out one's power. And it was clear he wasn't impressed or concerned. He scoffed. "I don't know who you are, but your bothering me. Find him yourself, or better yet, get lost. You aren't a student and definitely not a teacher. Be grateful I don't tell the masters about you. Now be gone."
The slightest of smirks came across his face as he was addressed. Just as he thought. A perfect chance to show one why it was unwise to judge someone without understanding who they were and what they could do. The was no shift in his presence, but his head dropped and the smirk faded. His ice blue eyes focused hard upon the boy, taking on their typical appearance in seeming as if they could pierce one's soul. There even seemed to be a glow of his ice blue iris. When he spoke again, his tone was darker, heavier, far more serious. It spoke with confidence, power, and command. "I think you misunderstand. You will take me to your headmaster." He didn't use any ability in the Force, but the sheer ability one could gain to intimidate and cause fear in others with but words and a stare.
The boy looekd to Gavin again, ready to speak, but stopped cold when his eyes met Gavin's. Fear didn't rise up in the child, but there was something there enough to give the Iridonian pause. Taking a breath, he gathered himself before finally speaking. "Of course. Follow me." Gavin merely smirked as the child moved from the area, following behind him to find the headmaster.

Nidana followed the Sith Lord through the Academy. She didn't miss the looks from the students, and didn't miss they smirks some of the more twisted students gave. This was her last chance to master her fear. Taking a deep breath, the girl counted down from ten, focusing on all that she knew she could do. Further they went into the Voxyn den. As she reached one and the door to the Training Area, she had regained much of her confidence and folleowed the Zabrak proudly, ignoring any other sneers or forlorn looks from the students.

The training facilities of the Academy were, perhaps a bit old, even by Savage's standards, but the did the job nicely. The few students that were practicing, glanced up upon his entrance.
"Leave us."
That was all that he needed to say. Out of fear, respect or perhaps both, the students quickly gathered their things and filed out of the room, leaving Nidan and the Sith'ari alone. Breathing in deeply, he exhaled slowly.
"Tell me, what experience do you have with combat?"
That was the first of many questions. If she was the type to have spent a good portion of her life digging among ancient ruins, she'd certainly have encountered all manner of beasts and traps left behind to protect tombs and other sites of importance to the Sith. So, in theory, Nidana should have been agile and quick. Hopefully his assumption would be correct. And even if it wasn't, he could work with her. A willing mind was much easier to form than an unwilling mind. And it seemed she was more than willing...

Once again standing at her full height, Nidana gave her reply.
I have killed many beasts, and have even had to banish some spirits.
She paused, trying to pick her wording carefully before continuing slowly.
I am not one for the melee. I prefer to use my powers from a distance, skirting around my enemies and hitting them where they are weakest . Though where my real talent lies is in striping knowledge, especially from the unwilling. That is how I have found many of my dig sites.
She indicated her sword.
I got this one from a particularly unwilling one. In fact I don't know if he's learned how to eat again.
She smiled to herself smugly. If he had just told her she wouldn't have had to strip away his mind layer by layer. But soon remembering where she was and who she was with the smile faded and continued her report.
I have also learned, mostly from dusty tablets, some measure of Sith Alchemy, but I need more complete texts to go further in my studies, and I have some grand ideas...
She trialed off realizing that she was rambling, which she did when she was around people.

A smirk crossed the Zabrak's face as Nidana smiled smuggled to herself. She was certainly confident in her abilities. But it was a smug confidence. A confidence that developed when one had never truly been tested. But that was about to change. Shrugging off his cloak, he turned to face her.
"Your training begins now..."
With that, he snapped his fingers. Off in the darkness beyond them, the sound of cages being opened could be heard. And then snarling and growling, along with the sound of clawed paws running on stone. As the Tu'kata pack approached, Savage raised his hand, plucking the sword from Nidana's back with ease. As the hilt slapped his gloved hand, he raised his right hand towards her and triggered the forearm launcher that holstered a single, yellow bladed lightsaber.
"You need to know the basics of melee combat, regardless of how powerful your abilities are. Slay these beats with the lightsaber to pass this test..."
He was confident in her abilities. And should anything go wrong, he was standing right there, though he wasn't going to let her know that. Hopefully she'd adapt to the situation and prove just how resourceful she actually was.

PANIC! was the first thing to go through her head, but quickly she recognized the beasts that now approached her. A kind she had slain in droves on Korriban. Holding her hand out, she guided the on coming saber to her hand and let it spring to life. As the first beast pounced she sprang into the air. Her first instinct was to blast it with lightning from above, but she remembered the explicit instructions to use the saber. Nidana landed behind the first beast and blasted the rest of the pack back using a push. Rolling out of the way of a second pounce she leveled her blade, using the moment form the roll to cut the beasts legs out from under it. Popping back to her feet she found herself being circled. Her fear was starting to rise again. She wasn't used to having an audiance... well not one that would survive. Two pounces. The Echani dodged one, but went right into the second. Both paws on her chest. The wind knocked out. Lightsaber skittering across the floor. And blood spilling from claw wounds. Fear gave way to panic, but then to rage. She had not come all this way to die in her first trial. Grasping the beasts head and harnessing the power of the Darkside, she twisted with a speed and mostly strength she didn't know she could muster. The satisfiying snap echoed through the room. Then she blasted the body off of her and into the next one. Her rage was blinding. Summoning the saber back to her hand she executed the now pinned beast with a slash to its throat. Using her speed she dashed around behind a fourth and took out its hind legs before slashing its spine. She let it wraith in agony, drinking it in as she rounded on the last one. A smirk on her face as the beast swiped at her and in return lost its claw. Soon after it lost its head.
With all immediate enemies slain, her rage abated and Nidana soon found herself winded. She deactivated the saber and slumped to her knees panting. Letting the saber fall from her lose grip and clatter to the ground, tears now filling her eyes as she felt the pain from the claws she took to the chest. They weren't too deep but enough so that her normally pale skin was a deep red. Choking down a sob and with a shaky voice she offered her apology while pointing to one of the dead beasts.
I'm so...sorry. I did not... kill that one... with the saber.
She brought her arm up to her eyes to wipe away the tears, though she knew it was too late, he had seen them for sure.

Savage merely watched the young Echani as she pounced into battle. Her form was sloppy and unrefined. To be expected from someone not skilled in melee combat. Her combat awareness was poor. Which was surprising. But then it came. She was knocked down by one Tuk'ata. For a split second, it seemed as though it was all over, when suddenly...a loud snapping sound echoed within the chamber. Fueled by her rage, she downed the last of the Tuk'ata hounds. An impressive feat for someone out of their element. As she made her way unsteadily over to him, she choked back a sob and spoke in a shaky voice. She apologized for not killing one of the hounds with the saber. She actually apologized for it. And then she wiped away tears. At this point, he almost felt sorry for her. Almost. Emotions were powerful things. And clearly the use of such unbridled rage had drained her. Physically and mentally. Thankfully there was no one else here to witness what happened next. The towering, darkly clad Zabrak stepped forward and embraced the Echani woman in his arms, pulling her in close. And in that fleeting instance, he was reminded of the first time he had embraced his daughter, Lysandra. It had been a heart melting moment for the rough and tough Zabrak, but he embraced the moment at the time, just as he did now. Why he had done this, even he couldn't figure out. It was more instinct than anything else....

She felt the strong arms of Savage wrap around her. It was the first time she had been held like this since... well presumable since she was a child being taken by the Jedi Order. But she had no memory of that. The emotion was to much and she couldn't contain her emotion any longer. Her soft sobs filled the now quiet room as she clung to the robes of the Sith Lord, not remembering who this powerful person was that her tears were now wetting. The feeling of an actual embrace was so much, she felt safe for the first time since she left the Jedi, but only for a moment. Shaking gently from her sobs she started to recover and remember where she was. But now she started to also remember who the only other person in the room was. She fell silent. Waiting to be struck down by a lightsaber, maybe electrocuted, or perhaps just crushed since she was so small in comparison. Pulling her face away, but unconciously unable, or unwilling to break the embrace she looked into the yellow eyes of the Sith'ari with her pale and tears filled eyes and could only force out one word.
W- Why?

Holding the young woman brought back many memories. Some pleasant, some not so much. Either way, it just felt right. At least at that moment. And then the reality sank in. He was embracing someone he hardly knew. Showing a side of himself to someone that didn't deserve to see it. With his queen terribly ill, he had longed for a bit of companionship. But this was not the time. Regardless, the Sith had found that small part of himself that wasn't wholly consumed by the Dark Side, even with the Elders residing within his skull. That one sliver of...humanity, as it were. He glanced down at her as she looked up to him. One word escaped her lips. Why. Why was he doing this? Why was he showing compassion? Why was this woman still wrapped in his arms? At this point he couldn't answer any of it. All he could do, is answer truthfully.
"You are incredibly special, Nidana. Your potential is unlimited..."
Flexing his jaw in mild annoyance with himself, he took a step back.
"Come, let's get your wounds tended. And speak to this of no one..."
It was certainly meant to be a threat, yet it didn't sound as such, even to him. It was weird. He was the Sith'ari. He was the dark king of Iridonia. He was well on his way to becoming the living entity of the dark side itself. But this young woman...there was something about her. He couldn't quite place it. And he wanted to know what it was, even if that meant losing face in front of her. He did, after all, have the power to crush the life from someone like her, if need be. Though he was fairly certain it wouldn't come to that. Either way, he wasn't sure exactly what was transpiring between them. But he did feel a connection. One that usually formed between teacher and student. A Force Bond. Not unusual for someone of Savage's power to create a bond. Perhaps the Elders within his mind saw something in her that he didn't? Perhaps this was all part of their grand scheme to bring about the ultimate downfall of his father? Regardless of what it was, he wasn't sure he liked it or not...

Not a word...
She whispered her compliance. Only truth was in her eyes. This man had shown her such kindness and compassion. Uncharacteristic of a Sith, especially one as infamous as this one, but she was grateful for it none-the-less. And she wasn't about to betray him for his moment of... what? weakness? No, it was not a weakness, it was a strength one that many Sith lacked. Nidana found herself almost overwhelmed again by emotion as he continued to show his concern for her but she maintained what little composer had been regained. She desperately wanted to know what was going on in his head, deeper than the surface that was easy to read. Yet out of respect for him and for what he had just done, she refrained from using her talents to infiltrate his mind and risk breaking this new bond. Following him she finally started to actually feel the wounds, and the slight blood lose. Her life was in no danger at the moment, but the wounds would need a doctor to fully heal. As she walked in his wake, she whispered two more words. Words that she hadn't used genuinely in a long time.
Thank you.

Turning on his heel, he summoned his cloak to his hand and closed his mechanical left hand around the fabric. They would then walk in silence, but he did hear her whisper thank-you to him. Two words that he hadn't heard spoken to him in such a genuine fashion in a long time. She was special. That much was certain. But only time would tell just how special she would become to him. Walking back into the main corridor, the Sith'ari led the way to the Medbay, where the medical droids could see to her wounds. He still wasn't entirely certain on how he felt about what had transpired. The only time he had ever felt this way before was during the birth of both his son, who wandered the space lanes, lending aid where he could, and his daughter, who was currently residing in the Palace, cared for by her mother and several other servants. He continued to walk to the Medbay, lost in his own thoughts...

Gavin made his way through the academy halls, not a single soul around par from the occasional guard. It continued to be the case when he entered the training area. It was vacant of a single person. While part of him expected to see that one person or so that wished to be better than the rest, thus training outside the classes and even deep into the night, he was relieved that there was no one. He wondered if it was simply that none felt the need to push those barriers, to not settle with mediocrity show how far they'd go to achieve what they sought. Whatever the reason, it didn't matter. He could go about his exercises without anyone to interrupt him, and even more, come to grasp what he was capable of. He was a skilled illusionist, especially when it came to hiding things in plan sight. It was that way with his power. He didn't seek to hide himself as some might, choosing to let it rest at the average level of power. It caused many to not think too much of him, knowing he was capable but nothing truly special. Hiding himself roused suspicion. The only ones who'd possibility think otherwise were the ones that watched him in his training or listened to what he could do. So far, that was only the Sith'ari and the headmaster. Whether or not they considered much of him otherwise was an unknown.
Moving to one of the walls, he set his bag down, the light but solid clank of metal resonating from it. He didn't know if he'd work with his sabers this time around, but they were good to have. From there, he moved out into the center of the room, he began stretching out his arms and cracking his bones. It had been a little bit of time since he had really gone through any training exercises and he didn't want to cramp up or hurt himself. For a good twenty minutes, he stretched himself out in all ways he could. Some of his muscles had gotten stiff during his meditations. For that, he massaged them to help loosen them up. He even added a few breathing exercises to focus his mind and body.
Finally ready to begin, Gavin stood straight, arms down at his side. Pushing out slowly with both hands, they split when fully stretched, left up and right down. His right leg lifted up as he leaned out, bracing himself on said leg as his arms moved in a counter clock-wise motion before meeting back at his chest. From there, his hands and arms began to move around each other as if trying to manipulate a orb of water between them. He continued this pattern, moving with slow, graceful flow. From time to time, he pushed out with a hand as if simulating attack patterns of chops and jabs or lifting a leg and turning on it while maintaining perfect balanced form. A simple, yet focused kata that Gavin moved through to obtain a certain oneness with himself. One of his core beliefs was the union of mind, body, and spirit. When one reached this point and could maintain it even in a chaotic state, a person was completely one with themselves and was capable of much in regards to control. Just another lesson he'd attempt to teach.
It had been ten to fifteen minutes before Gavin began to up his movements. While he retained a fluid form, his speed and force increased as he moved into an actual combat form attacking out at an invisible target. Each movement seemed to be focused with jabs and chops, never a single fist being formed. It might have been difficult to grasp with no opponent, but it could be assumed that he struck with speed and focus, the kind that could immobilize or hold an enemy in place. It was but one of the many style he had come to learn. This particular style was shaped around speed and precision strikes, putting emphasis in hitting pressure points and vital organs. With the right combination of hits, someone could be defeated, if not killed, in a relatively short amount of time. It was all about finding that first opening to a vital point to halt the opponent's momentum and unleash the possibility fatal barrage. It was here his movements stayed, going on for quite some time.

An hour passed by as Gavin continued on with his exercises. Sweat was flowing down his body, causing his shirt to stick to him. One of the few reasons he typically went with leather vests. Still, his breathing remained calm and focused as he went, not stopping to take a break. On thing he gained from his time training, especially in the wilderness among a variety of terrains, was stamina. He was capable of lasting in most situations over an opponent. Truthfully, he liked to thin he was in prime physical condition as his training formed and strengthened his body in the most optimal way he'd ever use it. There were those that trained and worked out, growing strong for sure, but wasn't as capable in certain normal actions as their muscles were trained for it.
As the hour reached its end, Gavin shifted to a different form of attack. His attacks slowed down a bit and appeared more forceful as he changed his jabs and chops to punches and kicks. It was much less fluid, though still refined for the direct brute force approach. It was key to understand different forms of combat from weapons to unarmed forms in order to adapt to different situations. The more styles one knew the more prepared they could be. A lesson Gavin took to heart in any situation and why he learned and trained the way he did.

For yet another hour did Gavin continue his movements, applying the greater force in each punch and kick. He was starting to feel it, the effort being put into each movement. Against an opponent, it wasn't as difficult to keep going. true, the damage received wore on the body, but the physical effort needed to fight was lessened when one actually thought about it. When fighting another, attacks would be halted, arresting momentum immediately and without any effort from the attacker. Yet, when one fought the air, the effort put into making an attack was used to stop and redirect them as well. And when all was said and done, fighting alone merely sharpened once stance and form. It did nothing to help a person know where and how to hit someone. That's why it was wise to always remember training with a partner, at least half the time.
Stepping forward on his right foot, Gavin launched a powerful looking punch forward, followed by the shift in his body. His right side tilted in and his shoulder dropped slightly. It appeared as if he was putting his entire body into the attack. However, it was his last move of the current session as let his body come together straight before bending down slightly, pushing himself into a back flip. For a couple minutes, he moved about the training area, letting himself spin and flip in a variety of different acrobatic maneuvers. Giving one last back flip, he only let himself flip halfway, bringing out his right hand to catch the ground as he shifted his body to keep his balance as he pushed himself out into a single-handed handstand. He held himself that way for a few seconds to verify he had his balance before proceeding to do some push-ups.

Having spent some time going through some more typical styles of exercising, including one handed pushups with each arm, some sit-ups, and some squats, Gavin felt certain enough that he had put enough wear on his body to do his final bit of exercises. This one of the most important parts, something that all warriors needed. Focusing himself, he lifted his right foot off the ground and rest against the knee of his left. His last bit would revolve around balance.
The greater the balance one possessed, the less likely they could ever be caught off balance, even in the most awkward of positions. That kind of stability also granted other advantages. If they could stay on their feet in any position, it meant they could attack and defend from any angle, even the most unorthodox. It was why Gavin chose to do this part last. When fatigue began to set in, stability falters. It wasn’t the hardest situation he could manage but it was what he had to deal with currently. To up the difficulty, he moved about in a multitude of stances to ensure his balance was still at its best, switching back and forth between each leg.

Thirty minutes had passed before Gavin ceased his activities. He had been here for at least three hours. Despite being capable of going on for longer, there were other things to consider this go around. He knew not when students and master aroused to begin the day, nor did he know when the headmaster would come to him to begin teaching. He doubted any time would be wasted in setting things up. It was unwise to let an unknown just wander the academy for long without knowing the full depth of his use. On top of that, he needed to shower and rest up for whatever reason that may present itself.
Moving over to his bag, he sling it over his shoulder with the clanging on metal within. He hadn’t gotten the chance to practice with his weapons, but it did little to bother him. He would have his time to run through them all. For now, he’d bide his time and space his training out. Taking a final look around to see if any had shown up to watch him while hiding their presence, he headed back to his ship.
