Haruun Kal's Open Orbit

Jalopy One breaks from the planet's surface and enters into a synchronous orbit while Arden scans the system trying to locate his old fleet. It doesn't take him long to locate his ships The Watchmen' in lead position still a sight to behold even after all these long years. He then realized how it would not feel the same without his friend Admiral Walsh (Ret) at the helm. Davison was a good man, but Walsh had commanded the fleet through countless encounters and victories.

BoB transmitted Master Arden's personal codes to The Watchmen' as Jalopy One made it's approach towards the hangar bay doors.

"Jalopy One calling Watchmen, Admiral Davison kindly open the hangar doors and prepare for my arrival. This is Jedi Master Arden Brandwyn returning to duty. We have work to do Admiral."

As he sent his transmission he knew many startled faces and confused expressions would be shared on the bridge, as well as between all the fleet officers on any ship intercepting the transmission. In the old days he would have spoken in code or some other silly thing to try and hide who he was and what he was doing, but at his age he has learned sometimes the direct approach works best.

BoB received confirmation codes, the hangar doors were opened and Arden sent out another message, this time it was coded. It was to Admiral Walsh, requesting his presence aboard the watchmen, it also included instructions for the watchmen to send a shuttle down to Pelek Baw to pick up the Admiral. Arden knew it would be several hours for the shuttle to make the round trip. plenty of time for him to reacquaint himself with his ships and their crews. He turned control over to BoB who initiated the docking procedures, and the adventure was set into motion.

Arden met with Admiral Davison, told him Admiral Walsh was invited to join them and then inspected the ship, meeting many crew members and learning that the command staff was currently operating at about half staff. No war had come to their little slice of space and so they had downsized some of their forces, nothing to major and certainly nothing to keep the old Jedi from his new found mission. Walsh eventually arrived, everyone had good conversations and caught up quickly as Arden searched for his first destination. He wanted to contact the current Jedi council, but decided he would do so in person.

"Gentlemen, I believe it is time to make ourselves known and remembered. Admiral Walsh, I do hope that silly chair of yours isn't going to be a problem."

"Of course not Master, I'm fit as a fiddle and ready to follow you anywhere."

"Very good. In that case Admirals, if there are no objections..." He waits and sees nothing but heads shaking in unison to say no one has anything to say or add but are all willing to follow his orders. "Then set a course for New Alderaan, or is it just Alderaan now? No matter what they call it let's go there most hastily. There are some items of great importance there I need to retrieve."

With those words said, orders were repeated and course coordinates laid in, path plotted, time noted and engines powered up.
The crew also did a quick systems check not only of propulsion but also of weapons, shields and armor. Nobody expected trouble on this stretch of the journey, but it will always be best to err on the side of caution. In a few moments the ship had transmitted orders to the rest of the fleet and within five minutes of that, the entirety of Fleet Himura left Haruun Kal's orbit, past the Kal Corp shipyards and made the jump to hyperspace. The adventure has just begun...
