Panting as she finally relinquished the shield from Galaar, Vera nodded along with what the older Mandalorian said. She stood up and brushed the sweat drenched hair out of her face before resting her hands on her hips, cocking her hip out to the left. The young woman felt slightly better about herself now and it showed.
Thank you for the lesson, Aliit'alor. Sorry if I was a little too rough their for you. She said the last bit mostly as a joke, knowing a man like him could likely take a bit more pain than what she would have inflected, shoulder in socket or not.

As promised, the Protector's favorite bunching bag was back to full time training. But she was getting stronger, faster, and most importantly, smarter. Vera was smaller than the others, but she had learned to use it to her advantage. Her quick and nimble approach often kept her in the blind sides of those who sought to go one on one with her. But if she was ganged up on (which was starting to happen more often, in and out of the sparring ring) she'd be outflanked herself and pummeled back into the mud. Yet the young woman always got up afterword, wiped the mud and dirt off her, and kept going.

Salvor ArgonThe visiting Coalition delegation were brought to one of the main buildings of the Mandalorian administration on the planet. The Mess Hall was nothing like the Oyu'baat, but it still served its purpose for maintenance of Concord Dawn and its security. Mandalorians, both born of parents and proven, walked in and out of the doorway as the Journeyman Protectors escorted Salvor and his entourage in. They went down one of the halls, heading into a local cantina that was situated within. The first thing to be spotted were a pair of Mandalorians wrestling in a wide open area off to the left. One of them was rammed into the torso by a charging companion and thrown into a table. The crowd roared with approval at the sight of the victory. Credits were exchanged as bets were fulfilled.
The Journeyman officer points to Salvor and indicates the bar area with his thumb before departing to return to his duties. An odd place for negotiations to occur, but Mandalorians weren't always for the formalities and luxuries of diplomacy. They lived as warriors and would negotiate as such. Once Salvor approached the counter, the bartender nods to his right, indicating a middle-aged Mandalorian. His helmet on the table and a glass of Tihaar in his hands. The bartender looks at Galaar.=Bartender= Seems the Coalition folks are here, Aliit'alor.Galaar looks over at Salvor a moment later before downing the remainder of his glass in one gulp.Business it is then. The Mandalorian says as he fully turns on his stool to look at the Minister from Corellia. So why come way out here, aruetii?

Salvor and his entourage followed the Mandalorian soldiers to the Mess Hall. The boisterous atmosphere made for a rather unconventional space for diplomatic negotiations, however Salvor remained unfazed. The young aide Orro looked to Vellar in confusion about the surroundings, but she ignored him, imitating the Minister's stoic disposition. Once they approached the bar and it was made clear which one was the Aliit'alor Fett, Salvor took a seat on a stool next to him, his entourage backing off slightly to give them space. "I have a proposition for you," he answered, before indicating to the bartender that he would have a glass of Tihaar. He recalled the first time he had tried drinking the spirt, it burned and was a rather embarrassing ordeal for him as a young man. Since then, he had drank it a few more times during his many travels, and had built a much stronger tolerance to such strong alcohol has Tihaar. "I have always been of the view that when one has a request to ask it is best to pay them the respect of meeting in person." He took a sip of the tihaar, it still burned, but he was able to hold it down. "Tell me, what do you know of Clan Australis? They made an appearance above my homeworld, Thyferra, professing their independence from the Assembly," he then lowered his voice and leaned in closer towards Fett. "It's my understanding they've attempted to tie themselves to the Empire instead."

This was gonna be a long conversation with the mention of Australis. Watching as the liquor was poured, the Fett didn't seem a bit phased by the mention of the Empire. The clan leader remains focused on the glass until it was filled to the top. Grabbing it, he drank a heavy swig before turning to Salvor.Clan Australis are a bit of a rogue-ish group. Most clans keep close to Mandalore, they tend to go further away. They do as they want; raid, plunder, attack wherever they wish. Their ideals are more self interest despite them spouting loyalty to Mandalore... I'd keep an eye on them if I were you. Loose cannons, from what I recall.Galaar mentions before setting his glass down. What about the Empire? Clan Bralor has deep and profitable contracts with them. Its common knowledge that the two share a world in the Outer Rim, one that feeds the Bralor and spills out onto our plates. Imperials have been providing Mandalorians a lot of good work... including the sack of Mon Calamari. Lucrative venture, I had heard. Got profits from Mon Calamari shipyards and their choice of plunder.Galaar decided to see if he could trigger the delegate a bit. Salvor's words clearly tried to get an impression from the Fett, but the Mandalorian wasn't gonna fall for it. The male looks at the Coalition delegate for a moment longer before reaching for his glass of Tihaar to drink. Now, with that out of the way, let's hear your proposition of yours. I suspect it comes with the seal of your Prime Minister's approval.

"We're keeping a very close eye on them, indeed. They seem eager for a fight. It is unfortunate but the Coalition is more than capable of handling them."The mention of the Sacking of Dac did make his blood boil, however he had been in this situation many times. Someone trying to provoke him, trigger him. In his youth he'd lash out, but over many decades Salvor had learned when not to bite. "Lucrative perhaps, but hardly the most honourable or impressive of victories. The Imperials and Clan Bralor vastly outnumbered the Alliance. I am given to understand that should Clan Fett and the Coalition find themselves on the opposite side, Clan Fett would conduct themselves with the honour your people are admired for," he took another drink and paused. "Back then the Imperials were weaker than they are now, still extremely powerful of course, but now they are at the height of this particular incarnation's power. Which leaves mercenaries and allies far less necessary. They don't need you, or Bralor for that matter," he again paused. He was spelling out the obvious, but wanted to make his point and his argument very clear. "We, the Coalition, do need you, however. Which means working with us is sure to be more lucrative for you. Furthermore, I would posit that a galaxy dominated by the Imperials, or any one faction, is bad for businesses and bad for Mandalore. I know I don't need to remind you what happened to your people when Palpatine solidified his control of the galaxy. So the Prime Minister and I propose an alliance between your Clan, and we would hope any others that would join us. We are willing to provide favoured access to much of our resources, bacta, weapons, ships, and lucrative trade deals."

Galaar glances at the Senator. It has been generations since the Imperials occupied Mandalore. And that Empire was led by a Sith, a Sith who desired to rule the galaxy. The First Order has power, power far greater than yours and ours. If they had desired to conquer Mandalore, they would have done so long ago, aruetii. The Mandalorian scoffs slightly as he turns back to his glass, tipping it left and then right as the liquor was swirled within it. The clan leader wasn't all too impressed with the older male's words. One would think age would make one wiser and more sophisticated with their knowledge and their understanding of the universe. If they didn't need mercenaries, then they wouldn't have hired our guns to take the Core nor sack the Mon Calamari homeworld. Mercenaries are needed no matter what... they are willing to do any work for the right pay after all. In a Galactic Empire, Vader utilized Dengar, Bossk, and Boba, yet he had legions of Stormtroopers. Mercenaries will always have work. When Argon got to what really mattered THEN the Mandalorian seemed to be more intrigued. He grabs his glass and downs it quickly. At least this Coalition diplomat wasn't trying to use sympathy to gain any sort of ties or relations. Galaar looks once more at Argon. An alliance? The Fett inquired. You are rather optimistic if you think others will join. I set the standard and so they will expect more in order to agree. What exactly do you want from Clan Fett, aruetii? Cause this alliance sounds like I get benefits, but I have to do some hard work for you lot. So I want this line clear here and now, not later when I have to bust a door down and demand what the hell is going on.

So I want this line clear here and now, not later when I have to bust a door down and demand what the hell is going on. He knew that getting Mandalorians onside wasn't going to be easy. They weren't the most diplomatic of people. It was frustrating that Fett seemed so complacent about the threat of the Empire. Still, it was hardly surprising. Most of the galaxy had fallen into complacency or collaboration. "Perhaps you're right. Perhaps Nicademus has no intention of conquering the rest of the galaxy, or Mandalore. But what happens when he is gone? I likely won't see the day, maybe you will, maybe you won't, but our people will. His children are Force sensitive. And there are those within the Empire who would prefer an approach more reminiscent of Palpatine than Fel. The people of the galaxy will never be truly safe or free while the Empire exists."While he was sceptical that appeals to liberty or justice would work, he felt his point was important nonetheless. Fortunately, the offer of an allice piqued his interest. "You're right, I am an optimist at heart. Though I prefer to act pragmatically or else I wouldn't have made this journey. What I want from Clan Fett, and any other Mandalorians who would join us, is for you stand with the Coalition against those who seek to oppress the people of the galaxy. Against the Empire, against the Dominion, against the Blackguard, whoever it may be when the time comes. Peace holds for now, but conflict is inevitable. I do not want to simply hire mercenaries. I seek allies, not hired guns. I cannot tell you exactly what would be needed from you, as war is far too unpredictable. But the Coalition is out atched by our enemies, at least for now. Mandalorian warriors fighting alongside our forces would be a powerful first step in preparing for what is to come."He paused and took another drink, allowing Fett to consider his offer.
"If you are interested, what are your terms?"

"If you are interested, what are your terms?" A slight clicking noise was heard beneath his teeth as Galaar began to think over things. This was a chance for Clan Fett to get some rather good deals. The Coalition had come to request ties with his kin and thus there was a wide berth in which terms could be made. The Mandalorian had turned in his chair, facing the opposite he looked now, but still away from the Coalition diplomat.Trade tariffs, on Fett merchants, will be set at 10%. No custom fees. One term was named.Ideally, a good deal on bacta from Thyferra, agricultural goods from Corellia, medical products from Drall, minerals and metals from Tralus and Talus...The list goes on in terms of a requested deal, of a respectable price, on the continual flow of necessary supplies, from Coalition worlds, to fund his clan's efforts and, hopefully, trickle into the Mandalorian Defense Corps. Galaar wasn't going to let a single stone be left unturned.And... lastly, access to your shipyards at Fondor. There a number of other terms stated that included financial expenditure on his mercenaries, compensation for lost materials, the ability to claim loot and plunder from defeated foes, and so forth. Those are my terms, representative.
