To simplify the creation of a personal fleet, each class has been assigned a point value, and the total number of points allowed for each player has been set to 256 Points. Each player may make a fleet in compliance of the following system. Personal fleet rules are as follows:
- Personal fleets may not contain any ships larger than 3600 meters. These fall under Faction Fleet rule jurisdiction.
- No member may control more than one personal fleet at a time in OPEN RP.
- Transports and economic/merchant ships, armed or not, contribute towards a player's personal fleet allowance.
- Support class ships and up come pre-equipped with starfighters without the need to spend Fleet Points. For rules regarding this, see the Starfighter Squadron Complement system.
- The Database of Ships and Space Stations contains the MAD values for each ship. If you see that a ship is not listed in the Database, use the Submissions Guide to submit it in the Submissions sub-board for review and potential approval by the Databank.
- Fleets are assumed to carry sufficient landing craft to land their forces. "Assumed" landing craft cannot be used in fleet combat and cannot be counted in Personal Fleets.
Personal Fleet Allowance: 256 points
Definition of Personal Ship Classes
Starfighter Class (less than 26 meters)
The starfighter class is divided into the following:
- Light Starfighters (1/2 Point)
Consists of any type of lightly-armed or armored starfighter with or without hyperdrive capabilities. Examples include the Vulture-class starfighter, TIE/In starfighter, A-6 Interceptor, any starfighter of lesser or equivalent strength. Defined as any starfighter with a MAD point value of 10 or less points. - Heavy Starfighters (1 Point)
Consists of any type of heavily-armed or armored starfighter with or without hyperdrive capabilities. Examples include Rogue-class starfighter, E-wing starfighter, T-65 X-wing starfighter, any starfighter of equivalent or heavier strength. Defined as any starfighter with a MAD point value of 11 to 15 points.
Starfighters gained using Personal Fleet points are independent of the Starfighter Squadrons system.
Support Class (any ship between 26m-100m) (2 Points)
This class includes shuttles, blastboats, small ships used to move cargo or passengers. Bulk freighters should also be classified as transports because they are lightly armed and slow moving, especially when full.
Corvette Class (any ship between 101m-250m) (4 Points)
Often comprised of faster but lower armed and armored ships. Assassin class Corvettes, CR70, CR90 and Lancer class Frigates are examples. Often used to screen larger ships and protect them from starfighters, or employed in fast strikes against capital ships.
Frigate Class (251m-400m) (8 Points)
Frigates and light cruisers consist the majority of these type craft: smaller size used to screen capital vessels or go on patrol alone or employed as convoy escorts, decently armed but not heavily armed. Nebulon-B frigates, Ardent Fast Frigates, Carrack cruisers, and Nova class Cruisers as examples.
Cruiser Class (401m-650m) (16 Points)
More specialized ships capable of dealing with escorting ships in a battlegroup but not capable of standing up to the heavy ships in a fleet. These ships also often have specializations. Examples include Strike class Cruisers, Interdictor-418s, Vindicator class Cruisers, Scythe, and Dreadnaught class Cruisers.
Star Frigate Class (651m-900m) (32 Points)
These ships are the backbone of most fleets, capable of standing up to more heavily armed ships for a time, they rely on their greater speed and maneuverability to carry them away from an overwhelming proposition. Victory class Star Destroyers, Bothan Assault Cruisers.
Light Star Destroyer Class (901-1300m) (64 Points)
Consists mostly of star destroyers, and star cruisers. Bigger hangars, more troops, more heavily armed and slower than previous classes. Most Mon Calamari Cruisers fall into this category, as well as Republic and Nebula class SDs.
Star Destroyer Class (1301-1800m) (128 Points)
Typically the strongest ships in a typical fleet, they have heavy armor, shields, and firepower. They also typically carry enough starfighters to defend themselves (See the Starfighter Squadrons system). Imperial class Star Destroyer line is typical of this class.
Heavy Star Destroyer Class Ships (1801-3600m*) (256 Points)
Ships of this class are allowed weapons equivalent of a Light Star Destroyer being modified transports such as the Lucrehulk series. As a result they have strong shields, but weak hulls and weapons that are not as strong as lesser ships designed for war. This is countered by a large cargo capacity for troops or fighters.
*The Heavy Star Destroyer class of ships canonically have an upper limit of 4000 meters. However, ships between 3601m and 4000m are deemed too large for personal fleet use, so this class has been appended here at 3200m. This same class of ships is available for faction fleets and does not have the 3601m - 4000m restriction (see the Faction Fleet section for further reference-- it is listed there as 1801m - 4000m).

Example Personal Fleet Layout 1:
"I want to have everything!" Fleet
o 2 Star Frigates (2 x 32 = 64 points)
o 2 Cruiser (2 x 16 = 32 points)
o 4 Frigate (4 x 8 = 32 points)
o 8 Corvette (8 x 4 = 32 points)
o 16 Support Vessels (16 x 2 = 32 points)
o 32 Heavy Starfighters (32 x 1 = 32 points)
o 64 Light Starfighters (64 x 1/2 = 32 points)
64 + 32 + 32+ 32 + 32 + 32 + 32 = 256 points
Example Personal Fleet Layout 2:
"I realized I had points left over and put them in Light Starfighters!" Fleet
o 2 Light Star Destroyer (2 x 64 = 128 points)
o 1 Cruiser (1 x 16 = 16 points)
o 8 Corvette (8 x 4 = 32 points)
o 160 Light Starfighters (160 x 1/2 = 80 points)
128 + 16 + 32 + 80 = 256 points
Example Personal Fleet Layout 3:
"Well THAT was easy" Fleet
o 1 Heavy Star Destroyer (1 x 256 = 256 points)
256 = 256 points
Example Personal Fleet Layout 4:
"Set it and Forget it" Fleet
o 4 Frigates (32 points)
o 4 Cruisers with Fighter Complement Upgrades (64+32=96 Points)

Planetary Bombardment:
Planetary bombardment is illegal, due to the planet-wide ramifications of such an action. However, it is important to distinguish between an orbital bombardment and an orbital strike. Bombardment targets large portions of a planet and is illegal just as planetary shields are illegal; a strike is targeted on a specific location such as a military base or city and is legal. This is what citywide shields are for.
