With the conquest of Kessel well underway, the Hutt Cartel was beginning to feel the benefits of having struck up a trade deal with the Blackguard Rebon and Mandalorian Clan Ordo. The Yarrock from Iridonia was currently flooding the market, driving the price of spice up. Beneficial for them, given they were in the process of acquiring Kessel. And the legitimate agricultural goods from Ordo were feeding the hungry. Which meant happy customers. And happy customers tended to spend more of their hard earned credits. The slave trade was also progressing according to plan. Nasir's operations on Nar Shaddaa were functioning at 100% capacity. Slaves were being moved on and off the planet at a steady rate, which meant the credits never stopped flowing. Another successful gamble. So far, even if it was still in it's infancy, the Hutt Cartel was economically stable and turning a profit on all of it's current ventures. So far, so good. And that kept Zordo happy.

Adding Kessel into the fold of the Cartel increased its profits significantly, due to the demand for spice and the ability to utilize slave labor. Slave trade on Nar Shaddaa was booming. Agricultural trade with Clan Ordo was flourishing and the Yarrock trade from Iridonia continued to push the price of spice up, allowing the Cartel to exploit this. The Hutt Cartel, while still relatively small, was economically stable and thriving. Provided the Cartel remained smart about its future investments and partnerships, they would continue to thrive and grow at a steady pace.

Seated within his Palace, Zordo and his cohorts were enjoying the spoils of their expansion. Lavish parties and wealthy, but dangerous guests came from all corners of the galaxy to bask in the Cartel's successes. And Zordo was at the center of it all, ensuring the Cartel, his Cartel, remained successful.

Within the walls of the mighty Azure Palace, a holo-pad in Zordo's Throne Room would spontaneously activate, revealing a finely dressed human with sharp blue eyes, holding a glass in one hand and a lit cigarette in the other.
Zordo Issulla Ajuur of the Ajuur Hutt Cartel. I apologize for the intrusion, but it is necessary that you and I meet.
Taking a drag from his cigarette and exhaling slowly, the man watched the Hutt carefully.

Seated on his Throne, the Hutt observed the human male as he spoke. Taking a draw from his hookah, the Hutt exhaled slowly, allowing the smoke to encircle his head.
"Ah, the Illusionist. I was wondering when you would finally reach out to the mighty Cartel..."
The Hutt spoke in Huttese to the human, knowing full well that a man as elusive as the Illusionist either understood him or had a translator. News of The Organization's return was subtle and silent, but when one was at the top of the galactic crime front, it was important to be informed. While The Organization's methods and motives were unknown to him at this time, Zordo was aware that this man, calling himself simply 'The Illusionist' was speaking to select individuals across the galaxy. And when reach out to the underworld, word tended to travel quickly. And Zordo intercepted or received it all. Information was a commodity, a very valuable one.

With a small smirk, The Illusionist took another drag on his cigarette and exhaled slowly.
You and I both know that information is a precious commodity in this galaxy. The more information you have, the more you need to take measures to protect oneself. This is just one of my many security measures...
Taking a sip from his glass, The Illusionist continued.
If you know who I am, then you know whom I represent and why I am here. So let's cut the pleasantries and get straight to business. In return for the Cartel's support, I can provide you with exclusive ships, credits and several trade deals that simply need your signature. All I ask for is the use of your many businesses to front my agents. Compensation will be given, should anything happen and in supporting The Organization, you would also be securing Hutt dominance in the underworld for centuries to come.
Eyeing up the Hutt, he knew that he couldn't resist the promise of riches, technology that would give his Cartel an edge over the competition and continued dominance over the criminal underworld. But, the Hutt was smart and surprisingly cautious for a gangster. It would take a few minutes for him to process the entire offer and make a decision.

Watching the human carefully, the Hutt chuckled loudly as soon as he cut the pleasantries.
"Ho ho ho! You are a bold one, Illusionist. Bargaining with a Hutt. Either you are smarter than you look, or you have a death wish..."
Speaking in Huttese, the Hutt trailed off and took another drag on his hookah, slowly exhaling. As the blue-grey cloud of smoke rose upwards slowly, Zordo spoke once more.
"Your deal is acceptable, for the time being. Cross me and nowhere in this galaxy will be safe from my wrath...you may be well connected and funded, but you are nothing without those resources. Let's see how well you can hide while your resources are stripped away. One. By. One."
Normally not the kind to threaten potential business partners or clients, Zordo knew enough about The Organization to be straight forward with this human. Cross the Cartel, and it was usually the last thing one did. Waving his hand, the hologram disappeared and Zordo moved his throne into the main hall of the Palace, where the casino games and dancers were working. Now that business was concluded, entertaining his guests was more important.

As the Hutt dismissed him after accepting the deal, The Illusionist was left standing in his office, smirking. Regardless of what the Hutt thought, The Organization and The Hutt Cartel would benefit each other greatly. As for the thinly veiled threat, that was of no true consequence. As powerful and connected at Zordo might have been, The Illusionist had learned from The Mysterious Man himself. While right now he was in his office, that was still very vague. With well over 460 planets in the known galaxy, he could have been virtually anywhere at any given time. But, it made the Hutt feel in control, so he allowed the overgrown slug his few moments of bravado. It made dealing with him much easier. Taking a seat in his chair, The Illusionist took another drag on his cigarette and exhaled slowly, smiling. Progress felt good.

A great many things had transpired in the wake of the Hutt Cartel's rise to power. And while expanding both territory and influence was rewarding in its own right, throwing extravagantly ridiculous parties, hosting feasts or even setting up swoop racing was more fun. And despite his gangster ties, Zordo did like to have fun. Begrudingly, the Hutt wanted to improve relations with the Mandalorians. Given their histories, neither side got along all that well, unless the Mandalorian in question was employed by the Hutts. So, organizing a Great Hunt similar to those held millenia ago, Zordo had invited several hundred people from all walks of life. Advertisements have been running nonstop on the holo-net. Recruiters had been scouring various worlds for contestants. Great lengths of preparation had gone into this event, and given the extravagant decor and festive ambiance in the air, it was quite obvious. Extending an invitation to the current Mand'alor, Aya D'Ordinii, the Cartel wanted to co-host the event with the Mandalorian Assembly. And what better way to do that than have Mand'alor herself here?Seated within his hover throne, the opulent Hutt was puffing on his hookah as the spectators, participants, guests and sponsors arrived. Once everyone was present, he would welcome them all here.

The Dark illumination made its descent from orbit, living up to the name given here. In the sunlight, the dark reflective hull shimmered brilliantly. It didn't take long before the Azure Palace came into sight, and with it, the landing pads. Already she could see the palace bustling with life, no doubt to the Great Hunt.
Not wanting to waste any time getting herself set, she brought the ship in, finding an open spot and settle the craft down with a gentle thud. Taking a deep breath, Luxeria looked out of the cockpit for a few moments, collecting her thoughts before finally standing. Dressed more appropriately in her attire, Luxeria carried her three lightsaber on her person, still wary of anything that would happen. She wouldn't take the chance that someone may attempt to try something against her, an act she'd pay back doubly so. As she started to exit the cockpit, she turned back to the droid sitting in the co-pilot seat. "Umbra, wait here. Best not to draw any more attention to myself than need be for the time being." With those final words, she made her way out of the ship and waited for an escort.

Having arrived before the event official began, the Sith'ari of the Blackguard Reborn, Viox Savage, sat in the VIP booth overlooking the arena below. Dressed lavishly in decadent robes emblazoned with the Blackguard's insignia and his clan colors of red, gold and black, the Sith and his escort sat in a plush chairs, waiting for the spectacle to begin. As a sponsor to this event, the Zabrak had been given front row seats, as it were. Normally not for such things, the Zabrak wanted to see how well his selected participants did and see just how well Gavin had been training the students. Ornate tables sat behind the row of seats, garnished with various foods and beverages from all over the galaxy. Lavish and pompous, the Zabrak decided to indulge a little, as his title permitted.

As the Shadow Phoenix made its way to its designated landing area, Gavin opened the communications for the ship. ::Alright, guys. We will be landing shortly. Get ready and remember to be on your best behavior. Save your energy for what we have to hunt.:: He gave a smirk as he thought back on their expressions the day he told them of what would be happening. Some were excited, knowing that they'd finally get a real challenge in which to prove their growing skills. Others were a little less enthusiastic, a bit uncertain if they were ready for such a task. However, it was the orders of the Sith'ari, so there was no questioning the order. Besides that, with Gavin and Viox both showing confidence in their skills to entrust them with this task, they all found it as reason enough to undergo this hunt.
As Gavi brought the ship around in a landing area a little ways off from Luxeria, he landed, sensing that the woman had also arrived. It was curious to see her here. No doubt seeking to further her training or prove its effectiveness. It made him wonder who else from the Blackguard or Dark Jedi would be arriving. Once the ship was down, he departed the cockpit and made his way passed the students as they got ready for his own chambers. Quickly, he made a change to its attire, removing his trenchcoat and doning his hooded cloak. As soon as it was zipped in place and hood over his head, his presence in the Force disappeared entirely, made so by the alchemic works instilled into it. This wasn't about him, so he wished to leave himself as hidden as possible.
Once he was ready, he met up with his students who were all gathered and ready to go. Spectres of Midnight, Geralt Klassen, Lizbeth Klassen, and Darth Sirona. Giving them a nod, he led them down the boarding ramp to await escort further. It wouldn't be long until the ran into Luxeria again. He was certain Kosrezic would be ecstatic at knowing she was here as well. The Twi'lek had formed a bit of an obsession in being like the woman.

Two large and brutish looking Gamorreans, wielding their traditional battle axes, approached the fiery haired woman waiting at the ramp of her ship. One of the Gamorreans grunted and chuckled. The other cuffed him and spoke.
"You there. Hooman. Follows. This way."
The Gamorrean grunted and snorted as he spoke. Motioning for Luxeria to follow, the two Gamorreans turned about and began walking towards the massive arena just outside the Palace proper.

Luxeria watched as the Gamorreans made their approach and called out to her. She said nothing, eyeing them down, especially the one that decided to chuckle. What did he find so funny? Perhaps she would get a chance to drop him in the hunt, if only by accident. A quick smirk coming and fading from her face, she made her way after them, taking only a moment to look around. She had sensed something familiar and faint, yet it was gone. With an inward shrug, she carried on in her path.

Falling into step behind Gavin, Geralt nodded to his sister. This was their chance to prove their worth. To themselves as well as to the Sith'ari. Upon leaving the ship, down the ramp to the landing pad, the air felt alive with energy. There was excitement in the air. And anticipation. Probably for what was to come. As he made his way down, he reached back for Nidana's hand. His previous discussions with both her and his sister ensured that they would function as a team, the three of them. This was, after all, a training exercise. Albeit an extravagant and over the top exercise, but it was a nice change of pace from life at the Academy. Wrinkling his nose at the swampy, almost noxious air, Geralt merely came to a halt at the end of the ramp, stepping off to the side to allow the rest of the students room to form up behind Gavin.

As Gavin made the call that they'd be landing shortly, the students gathered together in the main lounge, checking over their weapons and gear. Since the start of their third year, Gavin had instructed them to begin working on crafting their own lightsabers. However, in nearly a year, only a couple had finished weapons, thought all nearly had the parts to make it, minus the crystals to power them. They had yet to either figure just what they wanted to use or had to wait for the chance to get it. In the meantime, Gavin had crafted a large selection for them to use during the event, enough to ensure everyone had the preferred weapon or combination.
They watched as Gavin disappeared into his room, only to reemerge a bit later in a full cloak that none had seen him wear before. Whatever it was, or whatever the reason behind it, his presence had completely vanished. But that didn't matter. He was here and so were they. Following behind him, they talked among themselves as they descended the ramp. For a split moment, Kosrezic felt something catch her senses. It was too familiar and, as Gavin figured, got her excited. She knew that her role model was here. All the more reason to succeed in the hunt and prove herself worthy of one day becoming her apprentice.

Striding down the ramp ahead of her brother, Lizbeth had reluctantly agreed to his plan that he, Nidana and herself were to work together. Though, given that each of them had unique focuses in training, it did make sense. Provided they were able to work together, it might actually work. But she was still not entirely sure of Nidana. She had taken her brother's attention, whether she knew it or not. And she wasn't overly fond of that. Geralt was her brother. Together they had come through so much since arriving at the Academy. And now he was spending more and more time with this Echani...regardless, she buried her feelings and stood next to her brother, waiting for further instructions.

Standing off to the side within the VIP box currently occupied by the Sith'ari of the Blackguard Reborn and his escorts, a TC-SC Infiltration Droid disguised as a simple protocol droid, stood at the end of the row of seats, facing the viewport that allowed a view down into the arena where Zordo the Hutt was currently seated on the central platform. With the event beginning, it was not the time for The Illusionist to reveal himself. So for the time being, the protocol droid merely stood there, waiting for the event to begin.

Nidana followed along with the rest of Gavin's students. She felt two things. The first was Geralt's hand, a feeling that she had come to enjoy and be comfortable with. The second was much less physical, it was a familiar change in how the Force, particularly the Darkside felt. Viox was here himself. It had been sometime since she had seen the face of her adopted father, she reached out with the Force, trying to touch it and prolong the familiar feeling of the Sith Lords presence. These two things combined alleviated much of the anxiety Nidana had been feeling on the journey to Nal Hutta. She waited dutifully though, for Gavin's instructions.

Dax stood off in a corner watching the hunters gather in, he would wait until he was called on by the Hunt hosts as he was the Huntsmaster for this Great Hunt. He wondered how many of his fellow Mandalorians would be participating in the Hunt. Dax as the Huntsmaster could not play favorites and hope for anyone hunter to emerge victorious. He checked his datapad and ensured that his Custom Battle droids dubbed RedJacks were in place as they would capture and record the events of the hunt so that he and the hosts could stay in the know.
