"Pfft. I don't care where we stay. So long as my ship is in orbit, anywhere is home."
"If I can work from here, then... I would love to stay. The atmosphere is nostalgic. Natural."
"I'll talk to Michael-... err, Master Calmcacil, when he gets back. He may want me teaching again, which I'm... not opposed to. Or he'll put me back in the medical labs again. Or maybe I can update and manage your archives for you."
"Keep your tongue from rolling out, hun." Atuna smirked, failing to suppress one chuckle as he leaned forward in embarrasment. Melia could not hide her own snarky smile as she picked up the now-empty dishes from breakfast. "We have very little stopping us from relocating here for now. The only reason we stayed on Coruscant so long was because I inherited the building my shopfront was in. It's gone now, and we got the insurance claim settled, so..."
"Not that money was ever the issue."
"This is definitely an environment I can love working in. I forgot what it smelled like to have real plants outside my window."
"We have most of the logistics worked out for her work, too. We'll receive her materials on the Firaxa instead of having them shipped to the surface. Don't wanna clog the Temple's landing pads. And some new tools and machines that are a little more... humidity-proof."
"Oh. I hadn't thought of that."
"Melia."
"Hmm?"
"Whaddaya wanna do about the twins?"
"I say, so long as Titus is willing to commit to training under a Master, he has my blessing. But Ivy can do anything she wants as long as she doesn't disrupt Titus."
"Even if she wants to train as a Jedi also?"
"I'm just... All I want is for my kids to learn who they are for themselves. It seems like they only look at each other for answers. Titus needs to experience the real world with his own senses, and Ivy needs to do some introspecting, or meditation, or... whatever, to find her own way. If they both find what they need by training to be Jedi, then... good enough for me."
Atuna sat motionless at the table, chin resting on his fist, head turned toward Melia as she meticulously washed the dishes in the nearby sink. Her gaze stayed locked on the running water and the task in front of her.
"She has a healthy skepticism for the Force," he muttered to Kalli. Not so quietly that Melia could not hear, made apparent by her sudden glance at Atuna at the sound of his voice, but rather to avoid letting his voice carry to the next room over, where the kids slept. "Don't take it personally."
"We need not sugarcoat it."
"I can let you explain then."
"Another time."
"Mmk."

Kalli visibly relaxed in the slightest sense as Atuna and Melia discussed their intentions to stay on Felucia. There was the faint lowering of her shoulders, and her smile's warmth found her eyes once more. The Master Jedi remained silent as the spouses continued their thoughts aloud, verbalizing their concerns until they reached an agreement regarding their children. Their decisions, too, were an encouraging sign for the future of the whole family. For now, though, Kalli opted not to say anything about that. The Lemep family's flourishing future would be seen in due time, or so the Master Jedi firmly believed.
"Of course, and I would not press Ivy to pursue anything she hasn't a taste for," Kalli agreed with a gentle nod of her head. "I would like to hear her reasons from her own self, though. I respect your understanding as her parents, but there are some things better left explained by the person involved."
Kalli laughed lightly, a giggle that made the woman seem younger than she was.
"All things that I hope to discuss with her later while taking her out later to see Felucia in all Her glory."
As Melia had already cleaned up the empty breakfast plates, Kalli stood back to her feet. Her eyes glanced over towards the door. Although neither of them had spoken out that she had overstayed her welcome, the Master Jedi knew that all three had quite a day ahead of them, as did the children who had yet to wake. What more, they already had quite the morning, explaining their family's histories in great detail. Kalli exhaled a quiet sigh before addressing Atuna and Melia again.
"Perhaps we can do this again sometime later this week or next?" the woman inquired with a faint tilt of her head. "I would like to keep you both informed of Titus and Ivy's progress as you all continue to settle."
Kalli's attention then fixed solely on Atuna. The mention of 'Michael' was slightly perplexing, but then again, she wasn't all that close to the Grandmaster, either. To her, he was a man simply known by his title--Aerandir Calmcacil, the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order--and the plentiful rumors that wafted throughout the Temple regarding his family, of course.
"I would also highly recommend that you meet with Master Calmcacil soon, Atuna. Today, even, if he has the time. No matter what the Grandmaster decides, you carry an eternal spring of knowledge that this Temple is severely lacking. The Archives and holograms can only do much, especially for our young minds. Accounts from an actual, live person seem to have more... impact on the younglings. As a Master, even, I must always seek to continue growing and learning."
Again, Kalli laughed, but something else seemed to weigh it down and silence it a beat too quickly.
"He may even have a few connections to help Melia obtain her equipment. If not, I would be more than happy to take you into town to see what we can find. Perhaps then we could even chat about your skepticism in the Force together, as just us women."
After a reassuring smile, she then took a few slow steps towards the door.
"However, for now, I should leave you to tend to your family and prepare for your day. May I stop by after supper, though, and pick up Ivy?"

"Oh, please do. Come sooner, if you like." Melia dried her hands and placed them at her waist to give Kalli a small bow. "I'm sure Ivy will have nothing better to do. I'll be reconstructing my workspace and making progress on some orders, if I can. I doubt she'll find that terribly entertaining."
"I can go talk to... Master Calmcacil, I guess. I heard he wasn't here when I arrived, but if he's back, then I'll go find him."
"Take Titus with you. Let him see the Temple for himself, away from Ivy."
"Yeah. And keeping them both cooped up doesn't seem productive."
"Mm."
"Can I wake him up?"
Melia's smile faded to an annoyed frown, and she shot a look to Atuna that made no attempt to hide her disappointment. "You're a terrible person."
"C'mon, it's funny and you know it."
"Just try not to hurt him, please?"
"AH!" A shout came from the adjacent room, loud enough to pierce through the door. It opened to reveal Titus, in his clothes from the previous day, supporting his whole frame with both hands as if he were doing push-ups. He was still partially underneath his bedsheets, as the mattress had found itself on the floor much closer to the door than it was previously. His head did not swivel as he "looked" around the room, but it was obvious from his stillness and lack of emotion that he was processing his surroundings. The basic headdress he wore over his forehead had slipped off in the shuffle, revealing bright white, empty eyes with no trace of iris or pupil, in contrast to his father's eyes which were distinctly of the appearance of normal human eyes, sans the silver coloration. "Uhh..."
"Good morning, sweetie." Melia gently shoved Atuna out of her way as she moved to the door and offered Titus a hand.
"Glad you could join us," Atuna managed between stifled giggles and his sudden unbalancing.
"Did I do this?" Titus asked meekly, pushing up into a sitting position with his legs folded.
"No, sweetie, your father did."
"Again?"
Melia glanced back at Atuna, a slight flair of actual anger in her eyes where once was only shame. "You're actually the worst."
Atuna, finally balanced again, let out a hearty string of laughs that shook his whole core. Titus, despite his state, huffed a few chortles as well.
"Jedi get up early, son. This is how my master woke me when I was late to my lessons."
"Oh. Are you... training me?"
"We're going to find you a new master soon."
"Oh."
"And Master Starflight, here, wants to evaluate you later this week, so we can find you a good one."
"Okay."
Atuna and Melia exchanged neutral glances before turning back to Titus. "Go dress yourself. Daddy will take a more complete tour of the Temple with you, and maybe meet the Grandmaster."
"Okay." And without missing a beat, Titus rolled to the side of the mattress and stood up beside it. As he did, the bedroom door shut and hid him away from the trio of observers. Lots of loud shuffling and thumping could be heard with much effort beyond the wall for the next minute or so.
"He put the mattress back."
"Why must you antagonize him?"
"I hardly think of it as antagonizing. It's... playful."
"It's irresponsible and humiliating."
"He's a child, Melia. He thinks it's funny."
"You're a child, Atuna."
Melia recoiled at her own words, her eyes widening slightly as she gaped at her husband, who had his arms crossed and a half-hearted smile on his face.
"I... sorry."
"It's fine. I know I'm not very mature."
"In present company, it behooves us not to argue."
"Okay. I'll try not antagonize anyone else."
"Is Ivy still asleep?"
"Somehow."
"I hope Titus doesn't wake her."
"I'll make sure he doesn't." Atuna turned to Kalli and flourished his hand around the room with a vague waved. "Were Master Calmcacil in the Temple, where might I find him?"

The enunciation of the Grandmaster's title didn't go unnoticed by Kalli, who simply offered an apologetic smile in return. She felt no resentment towards those who may have known him in a more familiar light than she did, nor meant to discourage Atuna from referring to the Grandmaster as such. Still, it was a minor thing, all things considered.
Kalli remained silent throughout the whole exchange between Melia, Atuna, and Titus. Her expression didn't waver to reveal whether she agreed more with Atuna or Melia on the matter. All in all, though, it further proved her lingering, silent point that Kalli had perhaps overstayed her welcome. She didn't wish to strain Melia by continuing the hostess role and thus keeping her thoughts under lock and key.
"There's always an interesting line to balance between adhering to years of discipline yet remembering to view the world as our young ones."
It was all that the Master Jedi made mention of regarding the exchange with their son. It was not her place to give advice after all, especially when it was such a delicate line where even she faltered at times. It was an unsurprising but interesting observation to see that Atuna rested on one side with Melia on the other.
"Something old Padwan likes to remind all the Masters," Kalli added with a faint laugh.
Clasping her hands together in front of her, Kalli then trained her eyes upon Atuna. Her smile dissipated for a brief moment as she thought deeply about the Grandmaster's status and location.
"Yes, he has been away on a mission," she confirmed, "although I thought he would have been back by now…"
Kalli pursed her lips thoughtfully. After a brief pause, she raised her left arm and pressed a button on her comlink, a faint 'BEEP' sounding the successful transmission.
"Master Zin, this is Master Starflight. Has the Grandmaster returned from his last mission?"
There was a faint moment of feedback before the response came. Unfortunately not. We're patching through a request for his status later this afternoon. Shall I add something for you?
Kalli smiled at Melia and Atuna as she answered. "Yes, inform him that an old friend of his has returned to the Temple. If you could arrange even a brief meeting for them over the holoterminal, it would be much appreciated."
Of course, Master Starflight. We will be sure to inform him and keep you updated.
With a faint nod of her head, Kalli ended the transmission. In a sign of ease and confidence, she then extended her arms out on either side of her before clasping her hands once more in front of her.
"Like you, I'm sure the Grandmaster would be happier to meet with you face to face, but I'm sure introducing him to Titus would be a solid first step in securing a Master for him. I'll be sure to keep him informed of my evaluation as well, but if he has someone in mind sooner, I trust his judgment."

"As do I. He's never steered me wrong before."
The adjacent bedroom door opened once again to reveal Titus, now fully clothed in modest black robes over a white shirt and long, comfortable boots. At his side, attached to his belt, swung a silver lightsaber hilt with black grips running from the base of the pommel all the way to the emitter. A matching black headband was tucked under his short, black hair, over his eyes. "I'm dressed."
"You look handsome, Titus."
"Okay."
Melia rolled her eyes to Atuna, her smile turning from genuine to ironic. His faded slightly as he turned to Titus. "Ready to go, Titus?"
"Mhm."
"Very good. Master Starflight, where would you have us begin?"

"Indeed," Kalli agreed, regarding the Grandmaster. "I would have to say that without Master Calmcacil's guidance, the Jedi would not be as prosperous as we are today."
The Master Jedi then smiled at Titus as he exited his room, ready to face the day. After a faint nod of her head towards the boy in encouragement to his excitement, Kalli then turned back to Atuna. Although her back was faced towards the door leading back to the residential tower corridors, she paused briefly to glance over her shoulder towards it.
"Since I cannot guarantee when the Grandmaster will be free, you two are welcome to follow along with me for the day, if that doesn't sound too dull. There's a young padawan I wanted to follow up with, and I promised another youngling that I would check on a fellow Master who unfortunately is in the medbay. It could provide a chance for you to meet others you'll see regularly running about and give you a better lay of the land, so to speak-"
Kalli laughed lightly, the smile making its way to her eyes as the laugh lines became more easily seen.
"-seeing as you weren't with us during the tour," she mentioned with a faint indication of her head towards Melia. "Then, you're free to head your own way once I have confirmation of a meeting with Master Calmcacil."

"Excellent. We'll follow you, Master Starflight."
"Okay."
"It'll be nice to see more of the temple up close."
"You kids have fun. I'll busy myself with reconstructing my workshop."
Atuna took Titus gently by the hand and led him out the door of the room, into the hallway. They both turned back toward the inside and waved once to Melia, in unison. She smiled wearily at them and shook her head as she returned the wave.
"Have fun."
"Good luck with your machine."
"I hardly need it."
Atuna turned to Kalli and nodded. "Lead the way, Master Jedi."

Kalli laughed lightly, something short of a girlish giggle as if to hide away the truth of her age.
"Enjoy the few moments of quiet while you can, Melia," the Master Jedi encouraged as she bowed slightly at the waist in a silent farewell.
As Kalli lifted herself back to her full height, she nodded once towards Atuna. Her gaze glanced down at Titus as she smiled brightly once more.
"Perhaps I should let you be the leader of the tour, Titus. It'll give you some practice. In the matter of a few years, you'll be giving them, too, like Master Vilbri did for you."
In truth, it was still a bit of a shock to refer to Alexia with that title. It felt like just yesterday that she had been assigned a Master. Now, it would soon be her turn to take on a padawan as well.
"Ah, how time keeps marching forward..." she murmured quietly to herself before shaking herself out of her thoughts. "First, the gardens," she explained cheerfully without missing a beat. "It's a favorite among our newcomers. I think Titus and Ivy enjoyed it, too. Right, Titus?"
Kalli then turned her smile from Titus to Atuna.
"I'm hoping another young padawan did as well, so I can introduce you two."
Turning and departing, Kalli led the two from the residential towers and towards the center of the Temple.

A small chill came across the room as the air con kicked in, the low hum reverberating around bare walls. The sun just rising outside the curtained windows peaked through a slight gap, creating a solid line down the main door of the room, that would be the only warmth to cut through the cold chill. The bed was immaculately made, pillows plump and the sheets tucked perfectly under the mattress, with close attention to detail and precision. Luggage was still neatly packed away to the corner of the room, stacked in order of size, not a single thing seemed out of place. It was as if the room had not been occupied overnight, yet the continuous drip from the shower said otherwise.
Achiira sat upright, in the middle of the floor, feet together and hands firmly resting on her legs. It was six o'clock, according to the clock that seemed to tick ever so slowly, and reminding her that she had been awake for an hour. Her expression was calm and poised as she sat, winding down from her morning grounding meditation, something she would do after every long day before. Her aim was not to connect with the force directly, but to relax her mind, ground her body and spirit, priming herself for whatever the new day ahead would bring.
Achiira let out a deep breath then slowly stood, half expecting Viv to come bounding through the door at any minute, and moved to the main door. She opened it and stepped out into the corridor of the residential tower, the door slowly closing behind her as she listened to silence . She took out a small breakfast bar, tore it open and took a bite as she walked down the hallway towards the Temple to gardens that had left an impression on her.

A middle aged man sat on the edge of a bed that was temporarily given to him for the duration of his stay on Felucia, holding his head in his hands and breathing stressfully. Tywalker found all there was to uncover from his old life, and pondered deeply his next steps. The Force coursed through him like a raging river, flowing higher then lower. Turning left and then right, on its own whim as the Force usually did when misdirected and unfocused. He wanted to find them, but he didn't think he deserved to despite his thirst for a confirmed sighting with his own eyes that they were okay.
Tywalker took a deep breath and repeated.. "Patience..." That brought him comfort, at least for the moment. He got dressed, grabbed his gear and equipped all that he had before cleaning the entire room to erase any hint of his being here except that which may be sensed through the Force. He didn't have to worry about that much seeing as any who may look for him that are Force sensitive would not have access. Ty was deeply thankful for the increased security he observed in this new temple compared to that of old. Memories of those times continued to haunt him, as they did to many who survive such events. He walked out of the room and down the tower heading to the Hanger with plans of departure...but...maybe one last visit to the Gardens would serve him well before wondering the galaxy aimlessly once more in another attempt to find what he had lost so many years ago.
