As Ifrit spoke, Gavin's expression became the mirror opposite of the Fallen. With each word a smirk grew upon his face as he closed his eyes, making it seem as if the foundation of the new order was music to his ears. It was a moment or two more after Ifrit finished before Gavin opened his eyes once more to look up at the man. "Very few creeds could ever be as true as that. Simple, yes, but full of depth that one should come to embrace." He couldn't help but give a chuckle thinking on the words. "The old order had a code that carries similar understanding. Doubt is absolved by knowledge. Knowledge leads to passion. Passion leads to pursuit. Through our pursuit, we gain vision. Through our vision we find balance. Balance brings us control. Control grants us power. We are born by the light and baptized in darkness. We tread a shadowy path between day and night. We are Dark Jedi. This is our creed. It has its own take, but one thing resonates in their similarity: self. Unlike the codes of other orders that speak on the philosophy of the order and their take on the Force, the code of the old, the tenants of the new and the creed that comes from it speaks of only the person and their progression to become more than what they were the day before. One of the primary things learned from that old order, and that I carry with me in my training over all else is mastery of self. Emotions, pain, sickness, and past. There were even rooms designed to manipulate particular emotions to better work at mastering them." He then nodded at the last statement of what it meant to be a Dark Jedi of this order, fully in agreement with it. "It has been a core belief of mine that I will only train a warrior. I grant them all the knowledge I can so that when their training comes to an end, they can choose for themselves what path they wish to take. Even those I'm currently training at the Sith academy fall into that practice. Sure, I told the Sith'ari that I would train a new breed of Sith, but only in the idea that it was a Sith academy and that they would be shaped as Sith by other masters. My purpose was to make them more capable warriors. They learn the history of the Sith and its code by my instruction only as a means to further their knowledge, not dictate their path. Six months ago, as they reached the end of their first year, I presented to them a few questions. Who are you? What do you wish to achieve with the power you seek? All in hopes that they will find themselves and the paths they wish to walk." Ifrit listened and nodded as Gavin spoke of the way the old Dark Jedi Order operated and the tenets by which they operated. While there were some similarities, there were also differences. A fact which he was OK with. The last thing Ifrit wanted to do, was to have the new Dark Jedi Order end up as some clone of an older Order and end up sharing in the same fate as those that came beforeThe simpler the code, the easier it is to follow... In that way, no one is forced to go out of their way to conform to a stringent regime... As to these rooms you spoke of, that were designed to manipulate emotions... Perhaps such facilities may prove useful here. We can certainly make arrangements for their construction, if you believe them beneficial... For now though, take some time to explore your new home and settle in. I suspect Mariah will want to meet with you, and people to train will not be far away...

Gavin understood the meaning behind a smaller code and nodded in acknowledgment. While he had no issues with a longer, deeper code, it was, in fact, easier to follow when it was shorter and simpler. After all, just because something seemed easy to understand, didn't mean it held no depth to its meaning. And what ifrit had created for this new order proved exactly that. He knew what he took from it and, in the end, it was all that mattered. He could only hope that his words didn't agitate Ifrit with all that was said of the old order. Perhaps it came down to bottled up excitement at finding the home he had sought after for so long. He didn't want to change what the man had in store for this new generation, but Gavin still wished to impart what he had gained and knew from the old order, feeling it would be beneficial to the growth of the new. But what was key was that the new group of Dark Jedi were their own thing with their own path, not reflections of what once was.
When the Fallen spoke, it sounded as if there was no level of agitation, though there was a gentle touch of ensuring that he had a plan for this order and that he didn't wish to shift to the old ways, though he wasn't against utilizing aspects that were of value. "I can certainly agree with such feelings. Simple and to the point more often than not proves more efficient. As for the rooms, that is a choice left to you. At the mention of the tenant of emotion, I felt it relevant to mention. With time, if you feel that they can prove effective, I can offer further insight into their designs. Anything I can do to help the Dark Jedi grow, you need only ask." He then gave a bow. "I will do so, though my time here will be short. Until I have fully finished the training of my students, I will need to return to Iridonia. I do expect, however, that some may find their way here instead of holding the title of Sith."

This woman was intriguing, to say the least. She certainly understood more than she let on and didn't openly state her meanings. Though it was mildly insulting that she would assume he was not his own person, will and all. The Gods granted him clarity. They granted him guidance and often time showed him the clear path to walk. While he did, almost zealously, follow their will, he was still here of his own accord. Like the calling for the Sith that he had felt, he could have easily ignored this calling as well. But he didn't. Why? Because, like the famed General Grievous, he had a purpose. And while his purpose wasn't entirely clear as of yet, he was in the right place. Reaching up with armored gauntlets, the Kaleesh released the seals on his helm. With a hiss as the pressure was released, the Kaleesh lifted the helm off his head and lowered it down to his right side, tucking under his arm. Piercing yellow, reptilian eyes stared down at the woman. The tusk on either side of his jaw had been removed, long ago, by his enemies. And there was a scar running across his face, from left brow to his chin. Still pink, as it if was fresh, the Kaleesh chuckled. His deep, baritone voice echoing within the hangar."Do not claim to understand my intentions if you have never experienced the call of the Gods, human. I assure you, my will is that of my own. I do not blindly follow my Gods. It would be a foolish notion that would have resulted in my demise long ago...you follow this calling as well, no? Consider your own reasoning behind why you do so, and perhaps you will find that our...beliefs are one in the same..."Brushing off the mild insult to his beliefs, the Kaleesh continued to keep his gaze affixed to the woman before him."I am certain you will find me to be far from mindless, and my loyalty unshakable. And...had I come here to create chaos and sow discord among your ranks, I wouldn't have come alone. The entirety of Kalee would have accompanied me, seeking the singular purpose of your destruction. Provided you are willing to accept that while I believe in the Dark Jedi and their tenants, I also follow my own religion. Providing neither comes into conflict with the other, our future cooperation will be amicable..."Unblinking and unflinching, the Kaleesh continued to watch the smaller female. Ignorant, just like so many others. Perhaps, in time, she would understand. Or she wouldn't. He wasn't here to make someone believe in his religious ties, rather, he was here to strengthen the Dark Jedi cause and create opportunities to hunt Jedi. With the removal of his helm followed by his unperturbed laughter, Xel-Tun made it more than clear that Mariah's minor attempts to rouse him up were just that. Interesting, she thought. With her crimson eyes locked upon him, it was duly noted that he had seen his fair share of battles. He wasn't the only one in the room who had those stories written across their body, although for the sake such meetings like now, her own remained hidden. It was for a moment that she stared into the yellow peering back at her, before her gaze shifted to look over the whole of the man who stood before her, as if she was sizing him up."I do not follow the call of invisible gods who tug at mortals' strings like puppeteers," she corrected with a faint edge to her tones. "Regardless of what ... or who brought you here, you aren't wrong... Even if you aren't correct, either. If you are here to strengthen this order built by the Fallen, then our calling and beliefs have some similarities on the surface, but do not claim to understand my calling which brings me here, Kaleesh." Her stare was locked with his for another beat, as she allowed the weight of returning his words back to him to settle. Mariah then tore her crimson gaze away from him, and turning her body away from Xel-Tun and towards his vessel, the woman moseyed her way around it. She could sense the way he looked down upon her, be it simply for the way she looked at his religion or more. Just as he shrugged off her earlier words, she paid no mind to him either. He was in no way a threat to her or to this Temple, and if he was here to add to their numbers, Ifrit would rather him remain. Before she pressed on, however, there was something about his words that summoned that dark, unamused smile back to her lips."A whole army attempting to beat down walls from the outside will only do so much damage. A single person on the inside has the potential to wreak far more havoc. My warning still stands." She spoke those words with enough confidence that it could've been assumed that she spoke from experience. From what side remained to be unseen, although that prideful sneer perhaps was answer enough. With her unspoken warning surfacing, the woman held herself with an indomitable grace that at least outwardly supported the unimaginable consequences of crossing her, and the Dark Jedi, with any wrongdoings. With all that needed to be said in that regard, however, Mariah moved onward."As far as I'm concerned, you may follow your religion just as I follow my own beliefs, and others their own... or lack thereof. Our tenants are built upon growth and seeking power beyond the meager, limited, and fanatical understandings of both the Sith and Jedi. So long as your religion does not act like chains to inhibit that for you or others, I see no reason that they cannot coincide. If it will help you sleep at night, though, I will arrange a meeting between you and the Fallen so that you can later discuss if there will be any conflicting messages." Although she offered dismissive tones and nothing more, it was only somewhat shy of that acceptance Xel-Tun had requested. With all said that needed to be said, at least here, though Mariah walked away from his ship as calmly as she approached it. With a slight motion of her head towards the exit from the hangar bay and deeper into the Temple, Mariah signaled for him to follow."So tell me, if you've come to strengthen the Dark Jedi, what can you offer us? ...other than the teachings of your Gods."

If Gavin thought he was annoyed, it was merely a misconception. Ifrit was not one for many fancy words. He was more curt and to the point than most people. Something which was sometimes misinterpreted by others around himI will certainly keep you in mind for such things. For now, we shall see how training progresses...He gave a nod of understanding then, as Gavin stated he would need to return to Iridonia to complete some training. The mention that there might be a chance for some eventual new recruits among the Dark Jedi ranks was enticingVery well. Make sure you visit Mariah before you leave... And should we not happen to meet again before you return to Iridonia... Safe travels...

Disliking the expansionist Imperials, the Kaleesh knew their kind all too well. Different banner, same foundations.

Eris had remained off to the side of the meeting between Ifrit and Gavin. Preferring to observe the interaction between the two, being that she had only just been raised to the rank of a Master within the Dark Jedi Order moments beforehand. It was an interesting experience, not unlike many she had been involved in before. Except that back then most people had merely regarded her as a mere servant of Lord Bladeweaver. Perhaps Gavin might still think of her as such. Not that it bothered her anyway, since it meant she could more easily observe and get a decent assessment of the newest addition to the Order

Gavin gave a bow at seeing how training went before truly making any decisions on the matter. A wise one, despite his hope that they'd find their creation. "Of course, my lord." Whether or not they find their existence before the time came, he knew now that when he began training his students to master their emotions, it needed to be done here so that Ifrit and all the other Dark Jedi could see the effectiveness it granted him so long ago.
As the Fallen bid the man farewell, Gavin's eyes glanced over to Eris who had been here the whole time, quietly watching. He was a bit curious as to who she was and her place within the order. The way she stood back, how she stayed quiet seemed to mark her as a servant, or in Gavin's belief, possibly an apprentice. Then again, she could have very well been a master within the order and simply stood back and watched to learn of the new arrivals of the temple. He knew one way to find out though.
Turning his attention back to Ifrit, he stood tall. "If I may request it, perhaps I could be granted a guide who knows this temple? True that I would ask this of Mariah, but she is currently not here and I do not wish to disturb her should she be engrossed in something else of importance. This way, I do not get lost trying to find my way, nor should I stumble across something that is not meant for my eyes or is best to be avoided for the time being."

As Gavin mentioned he would prefer not to distract Mariah from what important work she might be doing, Ifrit reached out within the Force. Seeking out the Fallen Empresses presence should she still be within the Temple. His search was rewarded a few moments later as he felt her within the Hangar Bay. Careful not to take too much of her attention away, he gently probed the edge of her consciousness as he felt an unknown presence nearby Hmm... A new arrival? Ifrit turned his attention back to Gavin then, as the man finished explaining his desire to have a guide. While there was not anything he could particularly think of that should not be shown to the man. Having a guide might prove beneficial so that Gavin did not get lost and had an idea of the Temple's layout. He turned his attention toward Eris then. The woman having remained silent and off to the side Lady Eris, would you mind gracing our guest with your presence?

She saw his glance toward her. With the meeting winding down, it was perhaps inevitable that she would catch his attention. Even if it had been unintentional. But now that she had, it was plain he was intrigued, especially when he requested a guide around the Temple. She focused her attention upon Ifrit then, as he asked if she would mind doing it.
Part of her wanted to deny such a request. After all, she had just been granted her freedom to do as she wished. The last thing she wanted, was to still act as she had before. And she knew that Ifrit would stand with what ever decision she made. But part of her was interested to learn more about this newcomer who would be primarily acting as a teacher. As such, spending some further time with him would allow her that opportunity to assess him further Of course... I imagine it would be unfortunate for one of my pets to eat him by mistake... She strode past Gavin then, heading toward the door out of the Throne room. Pausing to wait for him to follow her Perhaps the living area might be a good start...

Gavin turned to Eris as she stepped up and spoke. Outside of his curiosity as to who she was and her place within the Dark Jedi, he was just as curious as to her appearance as it was a form he had never seen in his years traveling the stars. Perhaps there were races out there he still had yet to encounter. Or perhaps, it was a form of Dark-side corruption. It was certainly the less pertinent of his thoughts and he pushed it to the side as he nodded to her. "Sounds good. I may have to leave soon, but finding a room for myself while I'm here and for when I finally return would be good." With that, he followed her out of the throne room.

Eris started moving again as Gavin caught up and followed her out of the doors of the throne room. Once outside, she took a left and guided Gavin along a series of corridors that would take them down towards the second floor Yes, I imagine you might like somewhere to stay and set up, especially if you are to be here on a more permanent basis... As the came to the foot of a set of stairs, Eris took a right turn then. Heading towards an area where rooms had been set up for use by individuals instead of the more dormitory style rooms that held several bunks The third floor of the Temple is dedicated to the living quarters for members and close allies of the Order. We'll find a room for you here that will also keep you close to some of the student lodgings... She came to a stop in front of a door then, pressing the control switch to allow Gavin into the room. The room was minimally furnished with a bed and desk and a couple doors set on the left and right side of the room Here we go... The left door is closet and storage space, the right leads to a personal refresher room. You can furnish the room as you see fit. Any questions so far?

Gavin followed behind Eris, staying quiet when she spoke. His attention was focused upon the temple around him as he took in its design and layout. It wasn’t long before they began ascending the stairs. Second floor, then the third floor, followed by telling him of the third floor’s designation as the living area. I was a wise thing, seeking him out a place closer than most to the housing of the students. It meant it could be among them quickly should be be needed for something.
Is wasn’t much further that she finally stopped in front of a door to what he assumed to become his chambers. Following her in, he looked around, seeing what all therewas to see. It was basic, to say the least, something Gavin didn’t mind. He had long since given up concerning himself with accommodations, provided they were simple. Looking at the only two objects in the room, he nodded with a small smirk. "It’ll do nicely. Thank you. And now I have somewhere to set this for the time being." Reaching over his back with his right hand, he gripped the boot of he large sword that rested there. With a single hand, he lifted it over him seemingly with ease. He held it in front of him, looking it over for a moment before setting it on the bed.

Our world sits on the border of its beating heart..."The disdain and hatred was very noticeable in his voice as he mentioned the First Order. Disliking the expansionist Imperials, the Kaleesh knew their kind all too well. Different banner, same foundations. It was becoming more and more evident as Mariah led Xel-Tun deeper into the Temple that her tones were agitating this newest arrival. At the very least, she could sense the murkiness in his aura that stirred him to strike out against her. At least there was something that stayed his hand. What that was mattered little, although being a lone member in new territory surely played a large role. Her words may have been harsh, but unlike most others, Mariah had no desire for formalities and pleasantries. It was all a purposeless game of masks and half-truths, all to spare others' fragile egos, and she refused to play. Realizing he was the uncontested leader of his people changed nothing, although it confirmed that a meeting between he and Ifrit was better off arranged sooner rather than later. As suspected, he was a warrior as well. Although she remained as poised as before and revealed no added concern, however, the jostle of her sabers against her hips became a more predominant sensation. The resources would be beneficial and was internally noted, but it was only when the First Order was mentioned that Mariah paused. For all the discontent he silently revealed against her in this short meeting, there was at least one topic that guided his wrath from her to something far greater and worthy. Turning just shy of the War Room to face the Kaleesh once more, Mariah addressed him. Nothing in her expression revealed if the offer was met with gratitude, glee, disapproval, or wrath. However, her words painted somewhat of a clearer picture."Should the Fallen decide that war against the First Order is due, my blade is his and this order's. However, such weighty decisions are out of my control. I would look forward to the day where I might fight side by side with worthy allies, though." There was an odd meld in her tone a she addressed him now. The sharpness of her earlier warning was now met with something resembling a possible compliment. At the very least, she gave credit where credit was due. Although she had yet to see the might of he and his people, the confidence to use their homeworld orbit as a battleground was more than enough for the crimson haired woman, at least for the time being.Careful not to take too much of her attention away, he gently probed the edge of her consciousness as he felt an unknown presence nearbyHmm... A new arrival? Mariah felt the sudden, yet gentle pressure tearing a part of her attention away from the Kaleesh. It was only revealed with the slightest shift of her gaze, falling distant for a brief moment. There was only one who had to the gall to push himself into her consciousness like that. But at least now, he was more than fully aware of matters, meaning a meeting could most certainly be pushed ahead of schedule. Nonetheless, the very breach in her mind was met with a quiet, disapproving growl. It was short lived, however, and with its silence, her acute gaze regained its focus to the company before her."I am not fond of needing to repeat myself," she continued, inclining her chin slightly, "so I will extend a courtesy I would expect for myself. I'm sure you'd prefer to speak with the Fallen anyway, leader to leader. I'll see if I can't expedite that process..." Her words lulling off into a hiss, Mariah turned her back towards Xel-Tun. She sought the presence which created a gentle pressure against her mind, which was easy enough to do with him revealing himself to her first. As she had done in times before, she sent a ping within Ifrit's mind, like violently plucking a string within his own consciousness as a warning to withdraw from hers.Yes, we seem to have an... unusual ally here with some interesting offers to aid us. Instead of stalking about where you shouldn't be, perhaps you could come meet me in person and make his acquaintance.

He held it in front of him, looking it over for a moment before setting it on the bed. Where others might have been impressed as the man unsheathed the somewhat impractical looking weapon, she showed indifference. It was something akin to watching an illusionist, whilst being one yourself. You knew what the trick was and how it was performed. The sense of wonder had long since been removedYes, I imagine it will be easier to look around without something so clunky hanging off your back... Your own handiwork I take it?

There had been no desire to impress or intrigue in his carrying or handling of such a weapon, so much that he never even noticed those few times that someone actually felt such a way. He expected that most would view it as impractical if not completely ridiculous and those who wielded the Force would know well enough the trick.
When she spoke, he glanced over to her then back to the weapon before giving a shrug. "It's not that bad. After so many years of carrying weapons of this size and weight, you don't even notice. Really just unnecessary at the moment." He set the sword on the bed as she asked her next question. Smirking a bit, he turned to her with a nod. "There's something about crafting weapons and giving them life that I enjoy. But for the countless weapons I've made over the years, each of mine has always carried a larger appearance. Can't say I actually know where that preference came from if I'm being honest. That being said, is there a place here that I can forge new weapons?"

Stalking where I shouldn't? You wound me Empress... At least it is only you I stalk... But I shall be there shortly...He withdrew from her then, just enough to still be able to locate her as he exited the throne room. He made his way down through the temple, following several stairwells to the 1st floor. Making his way along several more corridors, he rounded a corner to find Mariah and Xel-Tun heading toward the war room. Ifrit came to a stop, giving a nod to Mariah before settling his attention upon Xel-Tun Lessh. The glowing green embers of his blindfolded gaze seemed to settle in the Kaleesh warriors directionWelcome to Ambria... I take it you are here to join our Order?

Eris crossed her arms and glanced down at the weapon as he mentioned it was unnecessary at the momentYou can say that again...The comment was barely audible and said more to herself than for Gavin to overhear, as he kept on speaking. Noting that he enjoyed giving life to weapons and tended to prefer such large designs. If ever there was a moment to restrain her comments, now would have been the perfect time. But there was just something nagging her about his design preference. And no matter how much she attempted to try to resist the urge in that moment. She could not, as she spoke a little louder this timeOvercompensating a little bit there, don;t you think? Or maybe you just like to let everyone know you like handling a large... blade. Consider the message heard loud and clear...She couldn't suppress the smirk that crept its way across her lips, as she then turned her attention to the mans question about having a place to forge new weaponsAs to forging new weapons... I don't think we could consider this place a true Temple for the Order if it didn't have such facilities. I can show you where it is, if you are done with examining your room?

Her first words went unnoticed as she spoke softly and on top of his continuing train of thought. He couldn't help, however, breaking a small smirk at what she said next. A humorous thought, to say the least. "Or perhaps a means to fool others into believing something other than what's true? After all, who doesn't like surprises?" He looked back to Eris for a moment, his smirk widening a bit before returning his gaze back to his sword. He honestly couldn't remember the reason he chose this type of weapon. But what he did kbow was that the decades spent wandering, losing the need to fight to his fullest ability, it became a simple accessory and the truth of who he was in combat faded with time. It was Mariah and thier duel on Iridonia a few months prior that began breaking the shell that had formed around him, letting him remember who he really was in combat. No doubt it meant changing things up for the first time since he start in using metal blades.
Turning back to Eris, he gave her a nod. "That would be nice. I've seen all I need in here."

Regardless, he was here now, ready to stand beside his brethren within the Order...

Stalking where I shouldn't? You wound me Empress... At least it is only you I stalk... Ifrit came to a stop, giving a nod to Mariah before settling his attention upon Xel-Tun Lessh . The glowing green embers of his blindfolded gaze seemed to settle in the Kaleesh warriors directionWelcome to Ambria... I take it you are here to join our Order? Oh, I wound you? You've made it a rare occasion in which I can do so, Fallen. I'll seize the opportunities given to me. You'll learn to forgive me, in time, as I have with you. Mariah's otherwise cool, apathetic tones rang about in his head with an almost playful hint which very few were granted to witness. It was then that Ifrit's dominating presence came into view, and with it, she offered a dark, knowing half-smile and a nod in his direction. The Kaleesh inclined his head respectfully as he was addressed, helm still gripped under his arm. The reptilian yellow gaze of the Kaleesh peered at the glowing green embers of the one he assumed to be The Fallen. Physically sightless? An interesting development, though irrelevant."Correct. Regardless, he was here now, ready to stand beside his brethren within the Order... The two could continue on with their conversations without her, although she needed to hold back her tongue to more of Xel-Tun’s words. The continued explanation of the footsteps he followed, and how that made him a capable leader, was met with mixture of mild annoyance yet amusement to the weight he put upon them. She would see it in his actions soon enough and judge him then. However, when all was said, it was a matter that meant little to her. Her immediate judgement was unnecessary, yet it was another reason proving that involving the Fallen was a wiser decision than not.“I'll leave you both to discuss your… matters in private…” Before Mariah fully made her departure, however, she turned to address Xel-Tun with a faint nod of her head in a silent farewell. “Welcome to Ambria, Xel-Tun. May you one day find what you seek.” With nothing more to say to the two, Mariah turned and headed deeper into the Temple, once more to her chambers to continue the ongoing, tedious tasks she set for herself...
