It had been nearly a month since Gavin had come to Ambria to join up with the Dark Jedi. So long ago had it been his home and now, with its reformation, it was once again. In a short time, he had become well acquainted with the layout of the temple, gotten a solid handle of the current state and atmosphere of the order, interacted with a few of the recent arrivals as well as others who had been involved since the beginning, and had spoken with Mariah a few times as well. All he had set out to do was done. But now, it was time to take his leave. It wasn't what he wished to do, but there were other responsibilities that required his attention. After all, his students wouldn't teach themselves.
Making his way down the hall, his pace was casual, yet focused as he moved, he grey trenchcoat floating behind him as he walked. Most of who he passed moved by in silence, each tending to their own business.

Aderon, a new arrival to the base, spent the time taking in as much information about the structure that he could. From its dark, moody architecture and atmosphere to the layout of its many rooms, corridors, courtyards, and floors, he wanted to get well acquainted with the structure he would likely soon be calling home, with his induction into the order. He could tell that he was extremely out of place amongst the simplistic, efficient garb of the passers-by, dressed in an elegant black shoulder-cape with a gold chain fastener, breeches, tall boots, and a black formal vest with golden buttons. His chrome, polished lightsaber attached to his hip and a small golden pin with the sigil of House Dooku on it attached to his lapel.
Nodding at some of the people who walked by, a few stopped to ask him where he was from, why he was here. Typical questions to ask someone so clearly out of place who was within your home.

He wasn't far from the hangars, rounding a corner that greeted him with an unusual sight. A man dressed in a much higher level of fashion and pomp than any he had seen thus far. He had seen a few different types here, from simple warriors to generals, but none carried with them such stylish clothing. It made him curious despite knowing he had to leave.
Slowing his pace, he stalled himself a bit as the person currently talking with Aderon finished their discussion. Moving up, Gavin quickly glanced the man over with his piercing ice blue eyes. "I take it you're another new arrival seeking to join with the Dark Jedi?" As he asked the question, Gavin worked to gauge the man, using every one of his senses to figure the man out, even feeling out his power in the Force. Gavin's own power seemed to be average, at best, though it was far from it as he typically kept his power lowered intentionally to remain unnoticed or unimpressive to those around him. This was only aided by the fact his presence was completely neutral and devoid of alignment as his face made him look no more than twenty-five years old, though an experienced man would be able to tell he had many decades of experience behind him.

Aderon had been briefly discussing galactic politics with one of the nearby Dark Jedi. Informing him on the current state of things, and generally making small talk on the direction the galaxy looked set to take. Following that small conversation, he turned to face the direction the voice was coming from, and was greeted by a shock of blonde hair, along with piercing blue eyes to match his own.
"You'd be right in your assessment."
Similar to what he would do when faced with a foreign ambassador, The Count silently began to analyze the man standing before him. At first glance, he would appear to be rather underwhelming. An initiate at best. However, his eyes told a different story. He had clearly seen many things and was likely decades older than Aderon. His presence in the Force was clouded, even more so than could be expected for someone of a grey order. No, there was something else at play here. Whoever this was, he clearly did not want to show his hand too soon. And neither did the Count.
"You would be...?"

Gavin was able to see it, the analyzing look, even subtly. It was typically a fool's game to not do so when following this line of work. Still, he had no intentions to be rude. Reserved maybe, but not rude. Doing so would do little to further the ranks and unity of the order. The last thing any order needed was hesitation or lack of initiative simply due to animosity. As such, he gave a small bow of his head when asked who he was. "I am Gavin Phoenix. I must say, I don't think we have had anyone arrive that is as well dressed as you. We even have a leader of a planet's armies here and still nothing like that."

"Suffice to say that there is some interesting history behind it."
That was the understatement of the millennium. Although he was proud of his heritage, he would not reveal too much behind why he was here, only telling who he was. His history was colorful, and it was unlikely that others here shared quite the same background as him. Even so, the last thing he wanted to do was appear to be aloof, and pompous. He had joined this faction to learn. There was a time and place for pride and now was not it.
As he made his introduction, Aderon extended his hand to shake the other man's.
"Aderon Dooku, Count of Serenno."

Gavin took the man's hand and shook it as he processed what was said. For the time being, it seemed as if he wished to keep somethings to himself. far from an unusual thing. Most people didn't like sharing things about themselves unless they felt they could trust the people they were speaking with. First meetings were typically not enough for that. He felt similarly about it. His own life carried much color, if one could call it that. One didn't live for nearly two centuries without facing hardships of all sorts. If they did, they were far too sheltered to truly understand anything.
However, when the man spoke his name, along with a title, more than a little light was gleamed into understanding the man's fashion. "I see. A Count, huh? It certainly explains a fair bit on its own. But either way, its a pleasure." Letting go of the man's hand, he moved against the wall and leaned up against it, letting himself get comfortable for the moment. "So what brings you here of all places?"

Aderon also retracted his gloved hand, still attempting to glean information from Gavin's stance. Evidently, he was very comfortable here, meaning he had likely been a part of the Order for quite some time.
"Well, in a nutshell, I believe I've... well, stumbled upon a truth I hadn't realized for some time. Suffice to say there are problems on my homeworld, which make it difficult for me to learn in peace there."

Gavin tilted his head curiously. "Sometimes, a journey is the best means of discovery and learning. But, to be honest, it really depends on the truth you seek to find. There is much that can be learned here and those present. For despite a common belief as Dark Jedi, we are still different enough that our beliefs and feelings still vary."

"True enough, though Serenno has been overrun by my enemies, making it virtually impossible to train in peace on that world."
Aderon nodded his head in affirmation of Gavin's statement. It was likely that his goals of political domination did not align with the goals of the majority of the Dark Jedi. He was something of a special case in terms of what his goals were, as he had spent a lifetime in halls far different than these ones, engaging in jousts of words and policy as opposed to those of a more physical nature that likely were the norm around the temple.
"I am certain what you seek to achieve is very different from what I have set out for."

Gavin listened, understanding the idea of losing a home to an enemy or just having to leave due to others before. "True enough. Enemies, or just the annoying overbearers can really hinder progress."
He then gave a shrug. "I actually don't seek anything here. The lessons and truths I sought to learn have long been acquired. I am here simply because it is what I call home." It had been many years ago that he had learned the lessons of the Dark Jedi, having already once been part of the order a long time ago. With the creation of this new order and understanding of its similarities to the old one, coming here was a no brainer. "What is it that you seek?"

Aderon once again nodded his head in affirmation to Gavin's statement.
However, his next statement surprised him. Never having a goal was not something Aderon had ever experienced before. Everything was always done for some reason, with some sort of purpose behind it. Everything had a reason. Nobody ever did anything without reasoning behind it. He had been raised in a society that taught him to expect an ulterior motive without fail. And that statement had never let him down in the past.
"What do I seek? Knowledge, I suppose. Knowledge on how to control and harness these powers. There are... applications... that I have in mind for these sorts of things. A means to an end, if you will."

Gavin gave a nod, though easily picked up on the hesitation of divulging the full reality of what he sought. Perhaps it was simple caution at being within the home of a new order. Maybe it was because he wasn't fully certain himself. There was also the chance that Aderon felt he'd be critized for what he sought, or even, the most likely truth, Gavin didn't yet appear as someone he could trust.
No matter the reason, it was his duty as a member of the Dark Jedi to aid newer arrivals and at least help them on the path they sought. "When it comes to knowledge, there is much to be found here. From the arts of Alchemy and Magic, to the practices of combat, of which I am a....versatily knowledgeable." He was a master of many forms of combat and weapons, but he preferred to not address himself as such. He didn't want anyone feeling hisas arrogant, not to mention there was always something new to learn, even for him. "Even mastery of emotion and self can be learned here. Anything that binds you, we can be the guides that help you break them and find true freedom for yourself and the path you seek."

After all, the members of the order likely knew more about the day-to-day of things, rather than the groups leaders, and so it was reassuring to the Count to hear that even members of the order believed there was knowledge to be found here."Well, that is certainly good to here. I would not like to be trapped in the same destructive cycle I had with the Jedi all over again..." In truth, Aderon sought none of those fields of knowledge. He wanted to know what effects the Force could have on the minds of individuals. And, more importantly, how those effects could be harnessed to achieve his own political ends. However, he stayed quiet about this, as the last thing he needed was for the man standing before him to understand his goals. He was unsure of whether or not Gavin was trustworthy, and it was never a good idea to assume somebody had good intentions.

Having hoped that by helping Aderon see what a few of the paths that were available to him, Gavin was a bit disappointed that there came no true answer as to what the man sought. It meant that either nothing of what was said aligned with his desires or it was true the man had no intention of letting that knowledge become known, at least, not yet anyway.
However, he didn't let these thoughts find their way into his expressions, only giving a nod. Currently, he could say no more without purposely prodding for the information and he didn't want to be seen as an annoyance or untrustworthy. That was something he didn't want to exist within the order, especially not with him as the center. Instead, he shifted over to the what else the count had to say, knowing too well the shortcomings the Jedi in many different ways. "You should be free from such things here. Both the Jedi and the Sith are fools in more ways than one. Too many times have their philosophies and desires brought endless wars that bear no fruit for any. If there is one thing I know, it is here among the Dark Jedi that you will find what they lack and find that which you seek. It may take time, be it to grow or even find one who can aid you, but patience is always key."

A speeder swings into the hangar, the engines drone and power down to high pitched whine, swiftly the personnel disembark and carefully yet hurriedly remove their would be patient. Staff from within the temple rush to meet the team and they quickly maneuver the hover gurney on its way towards the medical bay. As the gurney and the youth strapped to it makes its way to the med bay the team relay the wounds and injuries sustained, the team quickly work to install a central line do fluids and medicines can be delivered effectively and quickly and they administer painkillers as soon as the line is secured. The door from whence the medical staff came silently slides open and the team and gurney disappear into the bowels of the temple. The Tiernvael Temple Medical Bay consisted of a large central room with curtained cubicles for three dozen patients in beds. A doorway located in the left wall lead to a large room filled with a dozen Bacta tanks for more severe patients. Meanwhile, a door set in the right wall lead to a hallway which provided access to several Emergency/Operating multipurpose rooms.
It was to here that the Medical Team rushed Seven after leaving the Hangar Bay. They headed straight through the main room toward an available emergency room, quickly transferring him from the gurney to the operating table. Eris calmly strolled into the room then, having been alerted to the patients arrival by the Hive. She settled her gaze across the man as one of the doctors approached herMy Lady... The Fallen Empress found him in a wreckage several miles away. He is severely dehydrated, malnourished, and suffered a metal pole through his shoulder... Very well then... I'll finish the work on his shoulder... The rest I'll leave to you...The Doctor gave a nod, as Eris strode across the room and took up a position by Seven's head. A quick glance at the wound revealed that Mariah had performed a healing job to stop the majority of the bleeding. But there was still some work left to be done. She gripped the man's arm above the wrist with one hand, while pressing down on the wound with her palmLet's see just how strong you are... Perhaps you may yet be fit enough to survive...She lowered her head and closed her eyes, calling upon the Force as she muttered an incantation. The energy seeped forth into the wound, knitting the tissue back together and reconnecting the damaged blood vessels. It was far from a peaceful process as the body was forced to rapidly heal. But it avoided having to spend several weeks applying bacta patches to the wound and lowered the risk of infection.
When she removed her hand, there was no evidence of the wound that had once been there. She let go of his wrist then, as the doctors moved him out to the main room to attend to his nourishment. Fluids and nutrients were fed intravenously to assist with his recovery as Eris took a seat at the foot of his bed, waiting for him to wake up

Fluids and nutrients were fed intravenously to assist with his recovery as Eris took a seat at the foot of his bed, waiting for him to wake up Naturally being under anesthetic during the period of time he was operated on Seven recalled nothing of what when on about him. It was only hours but when he did slowly return to his senses and the anesthetic began to wear off he felt unsure of how much time had passsed; the last he truly recollected was being carried onto an airspeeder, now and then his brain caught up on the lost fragments of time by showing him brief further recollections, mostly it was lights and voices and then there was now.
His eyes began to open slowly and as light filtered in he closed them again to give them a moment to adjust. He slowly turned his head taking in the central line running into his arm and that he was isolated with no one next to him, but he felt he was not alone. He carefully began to lift himself but winced and grimaced as in his effort to do so he out too much strain in his newly healed shoulder. He payback down and fumbled for the remote that tilted the bed, he activated it until he could see the person who was watching him, almost appraising him, this was not the same woman as before. This woman whilst pale not unlike the other had raven hair braided tightly almost like dreadlocks that ran down her back. Her face too was marked with what might possibly be natural markings or tattoos, Seven wasn't sure as they seemed to almost possess a slight life of their owns as even in a well lit room they shimmered and glowed feintly. She studied him with intelligent eyes that also seemed to pierce him, never before had he felt do bare."What's next?" His question came out in its usual tired fashion as it had so many times before, because surely now he was mended there was some test of experiment, it was normal and a guaranteed part of his life up until this point, to imagine or even live in a place where things were very different was just something that Seven would take a great deal of time to comprehend, to learn what it meant to be s being, to learn what was morally right and what was considered the norm. These would all be big hurdles for him to get over and now he was here his life was going to be changed forever, not only as he to be set free, but he would walk a path of vengeance.

Eris looked over at Seven as he came back to the world of the living. She made no move to assist him as he first tried to seat himself upright, before fumbling with the bed controls. A smirking crossing her lips as he examined her, trying to correlate her appearance to Mariah's. She crossed her arms just beneath her chest as she leaned back. There was something about his question that made her want to toy with him a little bit I don't know... Maybe I'll feed you to my pets... Though I suspect the Empress might be less than thrilled by that... You tell me, stranger, what do you want to do next? What brought you here?

At first her response seemed nothing abnormal, although his testing on animals was a new one, but then there seemed to be a playful going in her eyes and a casual air in her demeanour, not to mention how she addressed him.
So, he was someplace else, perhaps tests might be conducted, yet she seemed to be offering him a choice, at least it seemed that way, he'd never had choice before, he'd been told, ordered, something had rebelled in him.
He recalled pain, he recollected shattering glass, a lot of commotion and calamity, death, yes and at his hands, wailing claxons and a hunt, he was hunted. It was as it was with all living things, that primal instinct to survive and although his memory and mind was hazy he was clear he had fled knowing that if he had not it would have been an end to him.
"I seek to survive. I don't know what I am, or what it is or was they made me, perhaps they made me altogether...I possess something they feared and could not control although they sought to and they too sought to push this.....this power. I will not be cast aside and and destroyed because at their whim, I will survive."
A dangerous feral fire danced in his eyes, anyone not skilled or as versed in the force would be afraid of how he spoke, perhaps even Eris briefly would be guarded and less playful, anyone would be foolish to underestimate him, a boy with power, but power he didn't understand or know how to control but an endless ocean if trauma and anger was a dangerous weapon. However like all weapons, if it could be honed, focused and tamed, then a powerful and useful weapon he would be.

Eris' expression remained unreadable as the man before her expressed his desire to survive. His rambling response giving her some insight into his past. For some part of his life, if not most of it, he had been the subject of experimentation. By the sounds of it, they were likely some non-force sensitive fools that had no real idea about the powers they were playing with. Much as she despised the Sith, they at least had a grasp of the monstrosities they created. She let out a brief thoughtful hum You want to survive? Well don't we all. It's the one central driver for all life... Well, whoever or whatever you were before does not matter. Provided you wish to stay here and learn to control that power for your own?
