Chaos raged around him. Screams, shouts, blaster fire, the hum of multiple lightsabers, the roar of the creatures rapidly approaching and the deafening claps of thunder booming behind him. And he drank it all in. The dead, the dying, the suffering, all of it. He fed upon it, as was his nature. Unknowingly becoming a Wound in The Force by accepting the essences of the Zabrak Elders within his mind, the Zabrak now fed on the death and despair what ensued from an attack such as this. It granted him clarity, strength and enhanced his natural abilities to a degree. And it sated the hunger deep within him, albeit temporarily. As his lightning attack was blocked, his attentions were momentarily diverted to a new attacker. Noticing the saber arching overheard, he reached out and closed his gloved hand around the hilt at is fell, and spun to the left on his right heel, bringing his booted left foot up to catch the charging attacker square in the side of the jaw. As the immediate threat had been diffused, Savage tossed the saber hilt aside and proceeded to walk forward through the chaos. His focus was the Jedi with the white blade. His perceptions were aware of his surroundings, but that specific Jedi was his target. Walking past a Jedi engaged with one of his Shadowtroopers, he reached out with his left prosthetic hand, plucking the young being up by the throat at he made a swing at the Shadowtrooper. Still striding forward, a grin split his tattooed face as he allowed the grip to slowly tighten on the Jedi's throat. Eyes locked with the man wielding the white lightsaber, Savage tossed the lifeless body aside and reached down to his belt. Curling his right and around his lightsaber hilt, he thumbed the activation studs as he brought it up before himself and prepared to press a more physical attack. The orange blades erupted out of either end of the hilt with the traditional snap/hiss. Still smirking, he paused in his forward advance, waiting for the Jedi to engage him...

Following the Sith'ari as he had made his entrance into the Jedi Base, Akrak parried and deflected blaster bolts and took the occasional swipe at any foe that fell within his reach. Knowing that he had a task, once he was through the threshold of the base, he deviated to the right, following some kind of maintenance or service corridor. Deactivating his blade and returning the hilt to his belt for the time being, he tapped the wrist-comm that the Sith'ari had given them prior to this mission.
"Rampant. I'm in. Nearest access to the dormitories."
A few seconds passed and then the static-filled voice of the A.I crackled through.
Thirty meters straight ahead, second access on your left. Proceed with caution, Lord Akrak. My sensors have been unable to penetrate much deeper into the interior of the base due to interference from the storm.
Rolling his eyes under his helm, the Sith spoke flatly.
"Noted."
Beginning his trek towards the dormitories, Akrak wondered who he would all encounter on his way...

Howls and screeches would be heard from behind the Jedi forces coming from a hallway leading toward the Hangar Bay of the Jedi base. Moments later, 20 vornskr sized creatures appeared from the hallway, fangs bared as they raced for the defending forces flank. Hoping to catch the Jedi defenders off guard and provide an opening for the rest of the Blackguard forces to make their way into the Temple. They would be no real match for any of the Jedi and their lightsabers, but they would prove distraction enough that the bottleneck might be broken Eruestan felt them first, a strange presence charging up from behind. He spun around to see the beasts turning the corner. Calling out to Maggy and any other Jedi that was available to stem this tide. But he could feel the approaching darkness. A singularity of death, pain, and suffering. It approached what in the Force felt like a burning star, radiating warmth, compassion, and hope. A true test between Darkness and Light was about to take place behind him, and it was his duty to ensure Master Aerandir was free to do so.Maggy, help me cover Master Calmcacil. Do not hesitate, young one. Strike to kill. Trust the Force. And as he said those final words, the creatures reached striking distance. Striking down to decapitate one of the beasts and using the momentum to strike another. These creatures seemed to not be of much challenge, for a knight anyway. It was then clear that this was a distraction, though one that could not be ignored. He struck at another, but a second one lunged at him. Using his left arm the beasts mouth closed on his bracer. The armor held, though the pressure was more than a little uncomfortable. He could not fight all of these on his own.

Malvus had withdrawn after some bouts and cutting down some lesser Jedi in the process. The Sith examined the situation of the battlefield unfolding before the Jedi Base. He snorts slightly, not liking how they were still unable to get the majority of their forces into the main complex. His dark eyes turn slightly to gaze up at the sky as a heavy bolt of lightning streaks across the sky, illuminating the billowing clouds that lingered overhead. His gaze turns back to look complex, noticing the single entrance that was available. The Jen'ari knew that needed to change. He gestures to the Sith Masters around him, pointing them forward.
Push forward with the attack! Get ready to renew the charge on my mark!
The masked Sith nod their heads and charge forward, lightsabers ablaze. The Sith Lord disengages his own lightsaber and retreats back to where the landing pad was, turning to face the terrible storm that roar overhead. With a deep inhale, Malvus felt the dark energy of the storm begin to attract towards him, the sith crystal, that had replaced his heart, began to pulse with energy. The lightning began to appear more often as dark energy was drawn towards the Sith, his hands spread outward to accept the power being drawn to his person. Malvus slowly turned as enough had gathered, facing the Jedi complex.
His muscles tensed up and his hands flexed as electricity sparks from his fingers. A bolt of lightning slammed against the platform, hitting near the transports. His hand flexed again, causing two more to strike the ground, this time closer to the ongoing fighting. The Sith's anger flares at the bolts of lightning inaccuracy. He flicks his hand once more, seeing the bolt of lightning hit in the midst of the battlefield. Malvus felt he had a better handle now as he reaches towards the sky, causing a large bolt of lightning to course down from the sky. The Sith then thrusts both of his hands forward as the bolt splits into two and slams into the walls of the Jedi Base. Twin explosions go off as holes are blow into side of the facility. Malvus was pleased with these results.
Drawing his lightsaber once more, he points forward.
ADVANCE!!!

She stood at her master's side as he called out to the other Sith master around them. She couldn't help but expect with how things were progressing that they'd push through the many entrance and into the hands of the waiting Jedi, ready to cut through them and bring them to their knees. Yet, Malvus's words spoke of maintaining a bit of patience so to act at the right moment. It seemed odd considering that the Sith'ari was mostly alone, aided only by a handful of Shadowtroopers. True, she knew he possessed a power beyond what she could comprehend, but it still didn't stave off the questioning expression that faintly lit her face.
But there was little time to think on the course of action as Malvus turned from the entrance and began to reach out his hands to the sky. Immediately, she could feel the flow of the Dark-Side building up and converging on the Sith. It was clear that he was preparing an attack and every signal in her mind began firing, telling her to back away. She had no clue what her master was planning, what power he intended to use, but it was better to give him a little room. It wasn't much longer before bolts of lightning began falling from the sky, hitting the ground around them. Using true lightning over the Force Lightning they could produce was an interesting choice. She suspected the power it possessed was far greater. The challenge existed in controlling it and its path. Suspecting it was also enhanced by the Dark-Side, she turned back towards the temple as two bolts hit the walls each side of the entrance, creating new paths inside.
They were still expected to charge in, but Malvus was smart enough to know the foolishness of simply running large numbers through a small opening. Bottle necked into a kill zone. Here, they now had three points of entry, meaning any defenses had to divide their attention, allowing for an easier defense. She watched as the Sith master began moving first, igniting her lightsaber and following behind her master into the fray.

Maroth took the kick directly to the jaw flinging him back into the room where he hit the wall. Then everything went crazy. Beasts charged in from the back and were engaged by a padawan and Jedi Knight. They would need help. The Sith he had engaged crushed the throat of a young Jedi then tossed the lifeless corpse to the ground while smiling and advancing on the Jedi Master in the center.
An explosion ripped two more holes into the walls. Immediately Maroth understood the ramifications. The Sith had themselves a tactician who understood the value of splitting the defense apart. The longer this battle went on the more effective Maroth would become due to his training in sensing and understanding the ebbs and flows of battle. Only an Echani would be able to better understand.
Maroth broke the chaos around him into three different priorities and threat margins. The first priority was the beasts. While even twenty of them would be no problem, with the greater threat at the entrance, they needed to be immediately dealt with. The second priority was the main entrance and the two rudely made makeshift entrances and any Sith reinforcements coming through them. The final priority was the Sith Lord. Maroth's attention snapped to him as he sensed what had eluded him moments before. The Sith was a Living Wound in the Force. That one would be a challenge.
With his priorities in place, Maroth acted. Luckily, his saber staff lay not far from where he was. Dust and stone chips fell from his body as he extricated himself from the indentation he had caused in the wall and knelt to retrieve his lightsaber. Once his blade was again in his hand, Maroth lept into the air clearing the entire room and coming down in the middle of the oncoming beasts with an explosion of sound and stone chips. This was his element. His twin violet blades sprang from his saber staff and he engaged the beasts in a flurry of flesh and glowing arcs.
After one second, two had been cut down. In the next, three were dead. Maroth allowed his momentum from the third kill to spin himself around and hurl his vibro knife at the beast who was currently reducing the Jedi's bracer into a chew toy while spinning his saber staff in the other hand preparing to shred the other relatively weak beasts. If nothing interrupted him immediately, Maroth would be able to scythe his way through the rest of the beasts.

*The sudden appearance of the rather bizarre, grotesque creatures briefly took Maggy off-guard, but she tightened her grip on her weapon once more. Her Master's words directed her purpose, even as the creatures engaged. Master Duskhand was already on the attack. Briefly, she remembered her training before she lunged forward to stay near her Master's side. That was when an additional beast had entered the fray, heading straight for her. With a calm mind and a steady hand, she exhaled as she sidestepped its swipe, dragging her saber low to cut its limbs. With the creature disabled, she let her hand guide her, striking for the heart. She was momentarily mesmerized by her response time before putting it out of her mind; she had a duty to perform, to herself, and to the Jedi Order.
Not that she would've had much time to reflect, as a sudden rumbling rocked the base and nearly made her lose her footing. Something had exploded somewhere... But once more she regained her focus: She was needed here. Other Jedi could investigate the source of the disturbance.*

*Aerandir felt it all, saw it all in his mind, as the tides of Ashla flowed through him, even against the attempted darkening of the skies by the unnatural storm overhead. She awaited his call, but he did not yet deem it necessary to completely open himself to her crashing waves. The assault was expanding; already they had entered the hangar. Already Jedi and defense forces were mobilizing to take up defensive positions there. Elsewhere, another Sith tapped into their inner darkness to orchestrate Force-knew-what.
And directly before him, the Zabrak continued to approach, effortlessly killing one of Aerandir's own Jedi while giving no time to react.
That ended immediately.
In his youth, Aerandir was far more proactive in his combat style. As he matured, he favored a more defensive approach. The current moment called for defense by being proactive. His mind made up, he pushed off on his back foot, launching himself forward in order to close the gap between himself and the advancing Sith. He then planted his feet, coming to a halt and keeping his weapon raised, still refusing to take the first shot. But he was now an obstacle for the Sith, who would be forced to deal with him.
And only him.*

Well then.By this point, Cao was sincerely hoping there would be another, even better time to prove oneself as a Jedi. Apparently, one wrong turn had led to several, and as embarrassing as it was to admit, the former Jedi Master was lost. He could almost hear his other voice mocking him for it, eliciting a small shake of the head regardless of the mental silence."Great." Cao paused a moment where he stood, facing the wall of a T-shaped intersection. One deep breath later, he closed his eyes and reached out, opening himself up further to the Force, looking for his path. He had just begun idly wondering how he even fell off his path in the first place when something or someone grabbed his attention. A dark presence, moving with determination.. moving toward him....Well then. There was no avoiding this one. Cao knew that if he could sense this powerful presence, then they could sense him too.Hello there.

As he continued to walk through the service corridor, his perceptions twinged, alerting him to a presence near by. A Jedi. Oh, this was just too good, he thought to himself. Knowing there was no way to hide his presence from the Jedi, all he did was continue on, coming to the T intersection. Upon rounding the corner, he leaned up against the wall, arms folded across his chest.
"Are you lost, little Jedi? Were you expecting someone else, perhaps?" he taunted, grinning beneath his mask.
The armored Sith merely stood there, waiting to see what would happen next. Either the Jedi would engage him or tuck tail and run. Personally, he hoped for the latter, as he enjoyed it when his enemies fled. It made catching them much more satisfying.

As their brethren were slain, the creatures did not fully retreat. Instead, they merely spread out more. Making any attempts to strike them down in one swing much more difficult. They knew they could not take the Jedi in alone. So they started to advance in pairs towards the Jedi that had engaged them. Others continued to try skirt around and harass any of the temple guardians that remained. One of the creatures looked to the two new entrances created by Malvus. Relaying the information back to its queen

The armoured Sith now standing before him seemed to either not be taking Cao seriously, or he wasn't taking this entire situation seriously.
Cao was entirely okay with this. Either of those options suited him just fine, since it meant that the Sith was talking rather than fighting.
"Not really?" he replied, shrugging and stepping toward the wall beside him, opposite his.. foe?.. but further from the intersection. "This is kind of what I was expecting. And hoping to avoid. ...No offense."
He offered an almost nonchalant yet apologetic smile at the last sentiment, clearly joining the man in the act of not taking this seriously. Some called it part of his charm, but in truth, Cao knew he was at the disadvantage here and was using his carefree demeanor as a shield.
"And actually, now that you mention it, yeah, do you know the way to the mess hall by any chance?"
Definitely part of his charm..

From the direction of the Council Chambers, Will blindly and in a trance of the Force, followed the fissure that had erupted in his mind. He emerged in the front entrance to the jedi base-- his icy blue irises and pupil inside adjust to the vision that the Force already provided him.
Death. Chaos.
Those same eyes began to water in dismay and pain. Is this all you have for me, Ashla? I try and follow you and trust you. Is this all that comes from being your servant!?
Will's patience has been worn thin. He was just fresh off a personal odyssey of hunting the Secret Sith, and now the storm of darkness he came to the warn the Order about is literally at their front door.
There Was nothing Will could do about it. He served on the front lines. He served on the High Council. He served in the shadows. The Force demands balance. And she shall have it.
Will's eyebrows are set. He may not be able to save the galaxy, but he can serve his friend, and save the lives in this temple.
Explosions still come from the hangar, after shocks from the Force made earthquake-- predatory growls from loose vornskr still alive. It did not matter from the Senior Jedi Master, Will Son'tir. He unclips but does not ignite his lightsaber, and purposefully strides to meet his longtime friend and Grandmaster of the Order. He raises a mental guard and armors himself with the Force-- a focus and veracity usually absent from his charming Corellian demeanor. Will is prepared to strike down anything that comes in his way.
The Darkness has come. And Will has rose to meet it.

The creature still latched onto his arm was quite distracting for Eruestan. Though as many of the other creatures pulled back, and started to spread out, the knight was able to bring his saber around and remove the beasts head. He was glad to see that Maggy seemed to be coming into her own, even in the midst of the chaos. But it was over shadowed when the creatures started being more methodical and, less frenzied. This worried Eruestan, as this could be signs of a higher intelligence than he had given credit for. But even with the skill displayed by Maroth, this battle may be lost as two new 'entrances' were made in the front of the Base. This would surely break their bottleneck and open up the Base for the Sith attack. But knowing his duty, Eruestan Duskhand stood his ground, next to his padawan and readied himself for the next onslaught. But not before offering some words of encouragement to Maggy.
Good hits, Maggy. We'll send these beasts packing soon enough!

Behind the chaos engulfing the Jedi, the Shadowtroopers and Sith Troopers renewed their assault, pushing into the two new openings created by Malvus. The Shadowtroopers, wielding their yellow bladed lightsaber pikes, would continue to push forward against the lesser Jedi of the group. The Sith Troopers would push behind the advancing Shadowtroopers. Armed with blasters and personal shields, the fire support from them would help keep the Jedi and their defenders pinned down or at the very least, behind cover...As the Grandmaster moved closer to him, Savage grinned. The Jedi wasn't nearly as eager to engage him as he had originally thought. Not that it mattered now. Still gripping his saber hilt in his right hand, the Sith shifted his stance, bringing his saber over to his left side, angling the hilt so that the front blade was pointed downward and the rear blade was pointed up. The Sith's prosthetic left hand curled around the hilt as well, further back on the hilt. Feet shoulder width apart, the Sith taunted the Jedi before him."You think you can withstand our onslaught, Jedi? You sorely underestimate what we are capable of..."Without giving the Jedi a chance to reply, Savage lunged forward, bringing the front facing blade up and preparing to execute a slash that would start at the Jedi's right shoulder and, if successful, exit on the Jedi's left hip. Fairly basic, in terms of an attack, Savage knew better than to think something like this would break the Jedi's defenses...

*It took a Jedi's discipline not to roll his eyes at the cliched comment. He might've had a retort, but even if the Sith had given him the time to, he knew this was anything but the right moment for banter. The opening strike was a simple move, one that required only a simple parry. In any other situation, he may have danced to the side in a bid to create an opening or throw his opponent off-balance, but his goal now was to be a wall between this dark entity and the heart of the Jedi.
But he couldn't do it alone.
As white blade met red, Aerandir's senses sprang out once more, the Force like a radar painting a scene of the immediate area. Invading forces making their way towards the new openings. Sith with their bizarre creations in the hangar—including his former greatest foe. The battle waging here in the entryway. And perhaps too many Jedi than were needed.
Without a word, his senses reached out, first to Master Son'tir, nudging him towards the hangar. Next, to Eruestan and Maggy, pointing them towards one of the newer entrances. For the moment, that was all the time he had to give instructions as he sized up the Zabrak before him. He was of comparable height to Aerandir, but larger. His presence was a burning conglomerate of dark energies, a fact that intrigued Aerandir more than brought him concern. The Sith had to bring the power of many to assault the strength of One... almost amusing.
Then he had better take his own advice to heart and not underestimate the Jedi in return.*

Maroth's senses tingled. The mass of Void behind him that was the Sith had engaged the Jedi Master. A flood of Sith reinforcements were streaming in from the now three entrances; and to top it all off the beasts had started to spread out making it difficult to kill them en mass. The beasts started forming groups of two in which to attack the three defenders whilst harrying the other defenders. This was not optimal. He would have to step up his game.
Maroth swiftly cut the two down that came for him all the while reaching out to the battle for its rhythm. The beasts were much more sentient then he had previously anticipated and had some sort of commander or queen. One of them had turned and stood still staring off into the distance communicating rather obviously to something.
Since his saber staff would now put him in a disadvantage, Maroth took a small leap back to distance himself from the beasts. He deactivated the violet blades and twisted the handle causing it to pull apart into two hilts. Maroth spun the hilts in his hands while adroitly grabbing two components from his belt which attached to the ends of the hilts giving them greater balance. Again the two blades ignited but now Maroth was wielding dual lightsabers. They would allow him to attack multiple foes from two different directions at the same time.
They have an overmind somewhere near here. One of the beasts is communicating to it right now.
Maroth addressed the Knight simply to give his observation. He assumed the Knight could recognize that the beasts were sentient, but individual sentience and a hive-mind sentience were things to be countered in different ways. Maroth would also keep an eye on the Knight's padawan. Though she was holding her own at the moment and showing a fair amount of skill, she was still a novice to situations like this. Should the Knight be unable to step in, Maroth would help her. She needed more experience so he wouldn't completely shield her; he would simply make sure she had enough time in between enemies to build that experience.

I don't think we have time for these. We'll have to fall back soon.
Eruestan was of course right, while they were distracted, a number of Sith warriors and soldiers had made some head way through one of the breaches, while he could see more gathering at the other. That was when he felt Master Aerandir directing him to hold the breach. The Knight knew this was his duty, and started to look for his quickest path. Turning to the stranger with the violet blades.
We cannot hold this position if these breaches are over run. Maggy and I will have to go protect that one for as long as we can. Continue the fight here. Maggy hurry!
With that he charged off to the second breach. He hoped that his sudden onslaught would take the beasts that were between him and his goal off guard. But even so, he cut down two of them that foolishly stood in his way. Reaching the entrance, he raised his golden blade in defiance of the gathering Sith.
Any of you foul things that wish for an early demise, come and face me.

Seeing Aer getting deeper outside the collapsed front entrance, Will moves slowly and deliberately through the space, hopping over fissures, and pivoted away from force hunter vornskrs who seem to be striking targets of opportunity-- but with this many force sensitive beings in a room, it doesn't seem that the dozen or so Will can see and the cold voids they leave in the Force are focused on hunting any one jedi. At one point, Will ducks under a specifically eager vornksr and raises his unlit lightsaber-- and ignites it just under the fierce animal, cathing it in the underbelly. It's multi-ended tail falls limp quickly, and sharp wimper and collapses to the floor. Another one was attempting to flank Will, but as he was ducking, he quickly pivots on his knee and slides around; guiding his icy blue lightsaber and catches the 2nd vornskr's snout as it snaps out. It drops straight down without a sound.
Will completes his rotation around bringing himself back to the original was on, toward the front entrance. Having his lightsaber up in simple midguard, his matching piercing blue eyes catch site of a shadowtrooper 12 feet away. Will's eyebrows furrows deeper as he calls apon the Force to put on supernatural speed into his legs to strike out on the shadow trooper. The faceless trooper almost had a chance, as he was already turning; bring his force pike to block. Will's strong cross slash, breaking the guard outward, and with a twist of the wrist and the reversal of direction finds his lightsaber cutting through the space between the armor proper and the helmet, After the moment that the lightsaber slices through, the helmet topples down the back, and the shaowtrooper collapes to its knees.
Will's eyes searches back for where Aer is. He feels a ping from his old friend, and Grandmaster. His own frustration continues to build as he sees a vision of the hangar imposed on his mind. But as Will's vision becomes wider encompasses the scene as guardians and jedi lightsabers alike are doing their part with the defense. Even Aer seemed confident that he had his part handled.
Jedi Master Son'tir takes a breath, before another shadowtrooper strikes out. Will takes a standing corkscrew leap up and over the shadow trooper, slicing the pike arm off at the shoulder and landing behind the trooper-- facing away. Will reverses his hold on his lightsaber, and thrusts it behind him and into the back of the shadowtrooper.
His eyes now set on the hallway that leads to the hangar. . .

Even as their numbers were easily thinned by lightsaber strikes, the vornskr sithspawn kept up their assaults. Striking at the Jedi that had turned to face them. Soon they would be gone, but the Blackguard has managed to break the bottleneck and create more entrances into the Base. Their mission had been achieved
