I don't think we have time for these. We'll have to fall back soon. Eruestan was of course right, while they were distracted, a number of Sith warriors and soldiers had made some head way through one of the breaches, while he could see more gathering at the other. That was when he felt Master Aerandir directing him to hold the breach. The Knight knew this was his duty, and started to look for his quickest path. Turning to the stranger with the violet blades. We cannot hold this position if these breaches are over run. Maggy and I will have to go protect that one for as long as we can. Continue the fight here. Maggy hurry! With that he charged off to the second breach. He hoped that his sudden onslaught would take the beasts that were between him and his goal off guard. But even so, he cut down two of them that foolishly stood in his way. Reaching the entrance, he raised his golden blade in defiance of the gathering Sith.Any of you foul things that wish for an early demise, come and face me. Luxeria moves with her master as the leading Sith made their way inside. Even before she reached the opening, she heard the challenge issued from the Jedi before them. Finally reaching the opening, she set her gaze upon the Jedi master and his apprentice. She could only laugh as lightning flashed behind her."That is quite the challenge Master Jedi. But tell me, do you truly think you and that child can handle all of us?"

The challenge of the Jedi intrigued the Sith Lord as he approached the entrance of the Jedi Base. The Sith Warriors parted the way, letting Malvus step forth and stand beside his apprentice, Luxeria. He reaches up to throw off his hood and black robes to reveal the armored appearance and red skin of his Sith heritage. The tentacles on his chin twitched slightly as Malvus's gaze looks at Jedi who stood in their way. His twin lightsabers reignited with the simple click on their hilts.
Give me your name, Master Jedi... so that I may remember who it is I kill this day.
Lightning flashes overhead, illuminating the Sith before the two Jedi who dared defy them. Malvus glances at his warriors.
Proceed forward! Luxeria and I will handle this.
The Sith nod to their master and proceed to branch off and away from the unfolding scene.

*It took a Jedi's discipline not to roll his eyes at the cliched comment. He might've had a retort, but even if the Sith had given him the time to, he knew this was anything but the right moment for banter. The opening strike was a simple move, one that required only a simple parry. In any other situation, he may have danced to the side in a bid to create an opening or throw his opponent off-balance, but his goal now was to be a wall between this dark entity and the heart of the Jedi.
But he couldn't do it alone.
As white blade met red, Aerandir's senses sprang out once more, the Force like a radar painting a scene of the immediate area. Invading forces making their way towards the new openings. Sith with their bizarre creations in the hangar—including his former greatest foe. The battle waging here in the entryway. And perhaps too many Jedi than were needed.
Without a word, his senses reached out, first to Master Son'tir, nudging him towards the hangar. Next, to Eruestan and Maggy, pointing them towards one of the newer entrances. For the moment, that was all the time he had to give instructions as he sized up the Zabrak before him. He was of comparable height to Aerandir, but larger. His presence was a burning conglomerate of dark energies, a fact that intrigued Aerandir more than brought him concern. The Sith had to bring the power of many to assault the strength of One... almost amusing.
Then he had better take his own advice to heart and not underestimate the Jedi in return.* The parry, countering his move was simple. Nothing fancy or even remotely deceptive about it. This Jedi was on the defensive, and wished to simply keep him out, from what he could read from that brief exchange. The Jedi had no desire, at least at the moment, to press the attack. Not that it mattered at this point. Stepping back, just out of arms reach of the Jedi, Savage locked eyes with the Jedi, fierce yellow eyes boring into the man before him. Despite the chaos raging around them, his mind was surprisingly clear and focused on the task at hand. So much so, that the voices of the elders within his mind could be heard plainly. Not everything is as it appears, son of Savage. Trust your instincts and give yourself over to the dark side...Even without that little bit of input from Skaar, Savage knew that nothing was as it appeared here. There was something about this Jedi that was almost...intriguing. Almost. Shifting his grip ever so slightly on his saber, he lunged forward, swinging the lower pointed, forward facing blade upward, expecting to catch the Jedi unaware...

The armoured Sith now standing before him seemed to either not be taking Cao seriously, or he wasn't taking this entire situation seriously.
Cao was entirely okay with this. Either of those options suited him just fine, since it meant that the Sith was talking rather than fighting."Not really?" he replied, shrugging and stepping toward the wall beside him, opposite his.. foe?.. but further from the intersection. "This is kind of what I was expecting. And hoping to avoid. ...No offense." He offered an almost nonchalant yet apologetic smile at the last sentiment, clearly joining the man in the act of not taking this seriously. Some called it part of his charm, but in truth, Cao knew he was at the disadvantage here and was using his carefree demeanor as a shield."And actually, now that you mention it, yeah, do you know the way to the mess hall by any chance?" Definitely part of his charm.. Beneath the mask, Akrak snorted in disgust. Humor, as a defense mechanism. How original, he thought to himself. The way this man offered up a nonchalant, apologetic smile was a clear indicator, at least to Akrak, that his man was very much in over his head. Which suited the armored Sith just fine. He was going to crush the Jedi soon enough, so having a little 'harmless' banter was menial at this point."Clearly someone thinks that this charm of yours is amusing, but I do not..."Extending his right hand straight out before him, as he stood up straight, he gathered the Force around himself, and executed a Force-Pull, in an attempt to pull the Jedi to his outstretched hand...if it was successful, Akrak's fingers would be curling around the Jedi's throat soon enough...

Clearly, the time for banter was over. This suited him less fine than the last two options, but this last comedic thought was quickly extinguished as the Force swirled and the Sith's hand came up. Whatever move he was using, it wasn't going to be good for the Jedi.
"Your loss."
It seemed he couldn't help but get in one last comment. But now, with no weapons and no backup, Cao's options were limited; so, as the Force twisted around them, he reached out himself, gathering it and-..
He felt himself being Pulled then, yanked forward, and opted to do the same to the Sith before him.. but in a different manner. Instead of reaching for the Sith's neck, Cao dropped his target to the armoured man's feet.
Back to basics.
As the Force carried him forward, he Pulled in turn, aiming to pull the man's footing out from underneath him, stumbling him or, at the very least, providing Cao with an avenue for escape..

*A directive? From Aerandir himself? After a brief moment of awe, Maggy's determination only grew. That the Grand Master himself entrusted her with a particular mission and had faith in her skills to hold her own was nothing short of encouraging. She followed her Master without hesitation, adding her own blade where needed, before they stood before the breech.
Just in time too, as the Sith armies already began advancing through the broken stone and melted metal that was once the wall of the Base. She stood beside her Master, green blade alight and held defensively, even as the lead Sith advanced upon them with, she assumed, was his apprentice. The very slightest despair coursed through her, as though she felt inadequate to aid her Master against two experienced Sith.
Aerandir's trust in her gave her calm and confidence as her grip tightened upon the hilt of her weapon once more.*

*Good, his comrades had responded to their assignments. This gave Aerandir some small measure of relief knowing other entry points would now be defended, while his main target stood before him. As the Zabrak lunged forward, Ashla warned the Jedi of the low strike. He responded by stepping to the right, pivoting on one foot before planting both feet and attempting a quick strike aimed at the Zabrak's shoulder. One he didn't expect to land, but nevertheless a means to keep the Sith engaged here and now.*

A voice rang out from the comlinks for a brief moment:
JC2K8 to base, do you copy? I'm a bit lost. It appears my navigation system is completely shot and I could use some manual coordinates.. *static* ... JC2K8 to base, do you copy? I could really use some coordinates right now... *static* ... JC....8....ase....copy?...JC2..*static*...
The comm eventually cut out as the cables were being cut from the ensuing attack in the security area of the base.

Chaos swarmed around the base as the intruders continued their attack. Mariah had followed a particular smoke signal rising from the walls to find an entryway inside. Naturally, the Sith who swarmed the Base took pride in their numbers, ships dotting the Felucian terrain right through her path.
She stopped just shy of the ships, unconcerned for those who may have been nearby. Her perfection of stealth left her untraceable, her Force presence vanished. As she scanned the fracture point, her eyes grew narrow. There were too many to simply walk past.
With a slow, deep inhale, the woman steadied herself mentally, shifting the Force around her with such delicacy as to not remove the concealment. A minor enhancement, but with major effects--and major concentration. She kept a hand on the hilt of her lightsaber, but with an exhale, she casually strode past the ships and towards the entry point.
With her blackened hood still raised, she made her way into the Base, trailing through like a shadow cast by the crackling lightning that warred in the sky, like an imaginary figure, like the movement in the peripheral vision while nothing was there.
Once she was in, she kept her steady pace away from the shouts, away from the battles, away from any others who invaded or defended. The moment she could release the alteration, she did, leaving the layer of concealment in place so that neither Sith nor Jedi would know of her presence here.
She couldn’t stop now. He was here. She could sense him.
Another breath, and with it, she searched the Base in its entirety, each Force presence she could feel flickering through her mind like sparks of electricity dotted throughout. His presence would be unlike all else. His heart beat with the same blood as hers, his Force signature laced so similarly to hers… to his mothers.
She found him.
Again, she weaved the taxing illusion of the Force around her. None could be allowed to see her. Not now. With her target marked, she was too close to risk it, to be thwarted by either side who raged this war.
With steady steps, she moved onward.

Twisting to the right, spinning his body and bringing his saber to bear, the Zabrak followed through with his initial attack, using his momentum to bring the blade up in time to connect with the Jedi's blade. The orange blade hissed and screeched angrily as it held the Jedi's blade at bay. The Jedi's ploy to try and keep him distracted was amusing, however, it was exactly what Viox wanted. The other members of the Blackguard were carrying out their objectives as planned."You are merely delaying the inevitable, Jedi. Keeping me here is playing perfectly into my plans. Even now, your archives burn and your people die..." the Zabrak scoffed at his opponent.Truthfully, he wanted to exercise his powers. And the Force was hinting at the fact that this man was the one to test them on. Only time would tell if the Jedi would give him the opportunity or not...

Even you Sith should be smart enough not to corner a Krayt Dragon in its lair. Anyone witnessing the exchange would note Eruestan did not seem cocky or over confident. Just a man doing what he knew needed to be done. With his taunting done, and his path set, the Knight began channeling the force into a protective lair around him. It wasn't much, but it would keep him alive should one of the troopers decide to take a pot shot at him in the middle of combat, as well as soften any glancing Lightsaber blows. If the Sith continued to try and goad him into banter he had no retort, simply the look of a man ready to defend what he held dear. Though he did turn to offer words of comfort and encouragement to his apprentice.Listen to the Force. Believe in yourself and your skills. The Light always drives away the Shadows.

Luxeria smirked at Eruestan's words. She found them interesting to say the least. "But a smart hunter knows how to use that corner to their advantage." Luxeria let her saber sway easily at her side, though grip tight and senses alert. Her gaze then turned to the apprentice. "Are you sure you are ready for this, child? Despite your master's words, the reality is that the brightest lights cast the darkest shadows. The more you fight us, the stronger we become. Take this chance and run, little one. These Jedi are sending you to your death and there will be no mercy, not even for you." Her words echoed with a dark resonation, working to toy at the mind of the young child. She doubted Maggy had ever faced such odds before now.

*Chatter. Just words, arrogant words with little hint of thought behind them. The Sith assumed—poorly—that Aerandir had no faith in his fellow Jedi to defend where he could not. He was also foolish if he thought the Jedi would want who he perceived as the most dangerous Sith among them allowed any further into the base. Were base personnel falling? Yes, however...*
"To be fair, so are yours."
*Aerandir released the lock and flourished his blade, feigning a strike for the Sith's right knee before sharply turning his wrists, aiming for the left thigh instead.*

A smirk crossed the tattooed Zabrak's face as the human pointed out that his men were also falling in battle. A useful tactic, against someone who actually cared about those under his command. But Viox didn't. All of them - Every. Single. One. -was expendable. Tools and pawns to be used and manipulated to accomplish his own ends, nothing more. As their blades unlocked and the Jedi struck out, the Zabrak stepped back from the feigned strike at his right knee, instead, bringing the rear facing blade forward, catching the Jedi's strike against his left thigh. Clever. Very clever. Shoving the blade aside, pain shot through him. The voices within his head whispered once more, though he ignored them. Gritting his teeth, he snapped back at the Jedi.
"The difference is, you care about your people. I don't."
No sooner had he finished speaking, the pain persisted, clouding his vision and his senses. The Zabrak stumbled forward, jaw clenched, and swung his blade wildly to keep the Jedi at bay, if nothing else. But he didn't press the attack, holding his ground and willing the pain away...

The Sith Crystal within him pulsing with the fresh energy that filled its master's forms. Then Sith's gaze locks upon the Jedi Master and his Apprentice.
A loud blast pierced the air as both hands were thrust forth, firing off a powerful Force Push that lifted the two Jedi and caused others to be thrown as well. Through one of the holes, the pair were thrown into. Seconds barely passed as Malvus, with Luxeria in tow, darted after their prey.

As his fingers wrapped around the young man's throat, he merely held him here, in his grip, not squeezing as he had originally intended to. That voice? There was more to this Jedi than met the eye, that much was clear. And now his curiosity was getting the better of him.
"Indeed."
Beneath his helm, the scarred and maimed face of Akrak grinned.
"You certainly are full of surprises, aren't you, Jedi. Enough so that you have delayed the inevitable...but speak quickly, for my patience isn't going to last forever..."
Still gripping the Jedi's throat, Akrak was curious to see what he would say next. The taint of darkness within him was apparent now. A most curious turn of events, to be sure...

*Completely missed the point, of course. Typical of Sith, after all. However, following the rebuttal—and even slightly before it—a strange thing occurred, as though the Zabrak was suddenly in some sort of pain. No pain Aerandir had inflicted for certain; his strike had plainly missed. It was immediately followed by wild swinging; if there was ever an opportunity, it was now. He took a step backward and alternated between parrying and dodging the blades, analyzing their movements and awaiting just the right moment. When he perceived the imminent opening for a quick stabbing strike at the Zabrak's right knee, he took it.*

Patience is a valuable skill to strengthen.
Cao's hands tightened around the Sith's gauntleted fingers, but it seemed he wasn't even trying to pry them apart. True, he was grateful for the lack of additional pressure, and the darkness had proved a useful distraction, but he needed a plan. An idea. Anything.
"You're-.."
Silence. For once in your life, stay your tongue.
Really??
The darkness swirled again, turning away from the light looking inward, and turned its attention wholly outside.
The inevitable has come for me time and again. But not today. Today, I finally leave this festering hellhole of light-side do-gooders.
Cao grinned, then frowned almost immediately after. Where had that..
Oh no.
I think you can help me with that.
