This response brought a small chuckle to Standash's throat.Jealousy isn't limited to anger Princess. It is comparing ourselves to others, seeing what they have and we lack. Yes, this almost always leads to anger or even hatred. It often starts elsewhere. Here, it seems to be tearing you down. Be careful to find the right teacher to build you up. You have areas of strength he doesn't. You learn different than him. But, you two are meant to complement each other. He will need you, and you will need him, if the First Order is to thrive. Standash was annoyed at her own words. They were true, but she sounded like a Jedi, and that would always rub her the wrong way.

While she wasn't quite sure she was indeed jealous, the Grand Moff was older than her and perhaps knew more about these things. After all, it was true she excelled with powers that Octavian could not properly grasp, and she was connected to the Force much differently than her twin. And when all was said and done, the First Order would need them. Their duality was most likely because they were twins, so very similar and yet so very unique. Fiora smiled and tried to force the blush and embarrassment away Oh, I think I have found the right teacher for me... You are right though, me and Octavian do have different strengths. I'm just going to do my best to be patient until my teacher appears and then work hard so I don't let him or the First Order down... Where moments ago she had seemed embarrassed, Fiora now looked excited and motivated

(trying a new, Standash is speaking color that can be seen easier) [Always be reevaluating your relationships my young friend, even teachers. When we don't, it is far to easy to turn them into idols. You are a smart girl you will figure it out. She checks her chrono. There were no meetings scheduled she needed to attend. There were some that she could sit in on, but she felt there were more important things. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a little box. There were a few designs on the packaging, symbols depicting scouts, knights, barons, and baronesses.Have you played helcos? It was always my favorite game as a child. This is my lucky deck.

The Grand Moff's advice was quite clear and easy to understand for anyone. Idolizing someone was dangerous, whether they were a celebrity, your teacher, or even your own parents. She gave a nod of understanding before her gaze moved to the deck of cards that Standash produced from one of her pockets. Fiora recognized the designs on the packaging almost immediately. It had been a couple of years since she had played Helcos, but she was still familiar enough with the general rules. However, she still shyly looked away when asked if she had played Helcos before Uhm... It's been a while... I was alright at it...

Care for a game? It has been a while for me as well. She thought back to her own childhood, she remembered never getting to to just be a kid and have fun. All adults were always so proper and focused. She wanted to show the young princess that her future wasn't doomed to be boring.

Oh... uhhh.... Sure, I guess if you have some free time... Fiora was a little taken aback by the offer. Most adults seemed to have strict schedules filled with meetings and seeing various tasks completed. Standash, being a Grand Moff, likely had a very busy day planned out. But leaving a meeting with the Princess of the First Order would be excuse enough for any other people she had to meet today. And it had been some time since she had played Helcos, so she wasn't going to pass up the chance

Stadash sits down at the end of the large meeting table, that moments ago had sat a couple dozen people, and gets out the deck. She shuffles the cards a few times. One of the best things about being near the top of the pecking order, there are very few people that can get mad at you for canceling or changing plans. It has been too long since I have played.

Standash was not wrong, position definitely brought benefits when it came to meetings. As the Princess, she very rarely had to apologise for being late to anything. Fiora adjusted her position, so that once the cards were dealt, she could keep her hand hidden from the Grand Moff Yes, I suppose that's true... Not like your underlings can reprimand you without risking being demoted or fired... So what are the rules again?

Standash shakes her head in a fake scolding manor Well that is just not acceptable Princess Fiora. I am sorry, I cannot allow an oversite of this nature to go without notifying the Emperor. His own child, forgetting the rules to card games! This is a dark day for the First Order! She can't keep the smile from her face and loses the fake seriousness she was attempting to display.

She quickly picked up on the joke, despite the scowl that the Grand Moff put on. It had been quite some time since she'd last played Helcos, and a lot had happened since then. What she did remember of the game, was that there were 4 different suits with varying values on them. Numbers 2-9 could be played on similar suits or numbers to change the suit, the Scout was a reverse or skip (if more than 2 players, you can choose its function), the Knight was for drawing 2 cards, the Baron was to change the suit, and the Baroness was a change suit and draw 4 cards. When you were down to a single card, you had to say Helcos as you finished playing your second last card. Failure to do so meant you could be called out and have to draw 3 cards.
At least, that was the version she could vaguely remember playing. Fiora was aware that there were a number of versions and variations of Helcos that one could play In my defense... Helcos isn't always played the same way... Some people use different rules or play variations...

Fiora picked up her cards, surveying the hand she had been dealt by the Grand Moff. It was certainly true some people definitely changed the rules if they were winning or losing. Thankfully, as Princess, she had not been subjected too much to such players. She laid down a Green Scout then I skip you, and then... She placed down a green 9, smiling Your move Grand Moff...

Not bad, Green 4.Standash played her card. A smile was visible out of the corner of her lips, most that saw that smile got rather nervous.

Fiora did not know the Grand Moff that well, and so was not put off by the smile. To be fair, the Princess also did not expect to win this game either. After examining her hand for a moment, She began drawing cards. Muttering each time she drew something she couldn't play, until she drew her 7th card. She placed a Baron down then I'm changing to... Yellow. Your move, Grand Moff...

Fiora raised her eyebrow as Standash grinned. It was common when playing this variant of Helcos to try and make your opponent, or opponents when playing with more than 2 people, to second guess their moves. The Princess was not going to back down that easily I'm pretty sure Yellow is just fine...

Fiora scowled a little as Standash got done making her move and reverted it back to Green again. She drew another card and placed down a Green Knight Well, enjoy restocking your hand a little, Grand Moff. Maybe when I'm older, you'll have a chance to show me around Alderaan...

The Grand Moff's icy gaze is unchanged. She picks up some cards and plays a green 7.I will send a request to your father later this week for an excursion. No need to wait till you you are older. Its a beautiful world. I can confirm that the queen misses having younger people in the palace. It would put off her asking if I have met any nice men for a little bit.

Fiora raised an eyebrow as Standash suggested she'd submit a request with her Father. The Grand Moff had risen far, but even Fiora had a hard time believing her Father would grant such a request. Alderaan was well beyond the current borders of the First Order and surrounded by people that were opposed to the Empire. She set down a blue 7 I'm not sure my Father would be all that keen about me going to Alderaan right now... Especially given some of the trouble I got into recently... Besides, I'd feel terrible being a distraction from your search to meet someone nice...
