Standash nods, she hopped the girl was right. And maybe her history would let her do things her own way as a Ren. Standash could hope. Most of her hope was reserved for hoping the girl did not become like most every other force user.Good, it is important to stay connected. Isolation is never good for anyone. You have to expose yourself to new ideas and perspectives. When those with power don't, it normally ends poorly for a lot of people.

The future was ever shifting as actions in the present rippled forward to affect its course. There were many routes one could take, but fate had fixed points of convergence which were unavoidable. The moments leading up to those points became muddled as hundred, thousands, even millions of timelines converged upon one event. Visions of these things were impossible for her to decipher Isolation, sometimes, is necessary... But you are right about exposing yourself to new ideas and perspectives. Especially when you've come to conclusions, then it is more important than ever to remain critical. A lot of people depend upon the First Order, and we have to do our best each day for them. It was one of the most important lessons her father had instilled in her. The First Order might not be universally loved, but a lot of people relied upon its existence to feed their families and maintain order

Solitude can be helpful and necessary, but always be careful with isolation. That is why the expansion of the First Order has been so valuable to the galaxy. Look at me, I lead two democratic governments and I am from the most peace loving planet anywhere. Here I am advising your father and and expanding ideas, mine and those around me. All we can do is our best. Force users on their own are terrifying to Standash, but isolated ones disconnected from the rest of the galaxy has always ended poorly for everyone.

You are... an oddity amongst the First Order, given your past experience. That's for sure... Anyway, I think it might be best for me to get going. It was a pleasure meeting you Grand Moff Thul... She did mean that sincerely. Although the woman had beaten her at cards and implied a few things, it had been a pleasant moment in her day. A part of her hoped she might spend some more time with Standash. But a part of her did worry about the risks that would be involved in a trip to New Alderaan. Her Father, however, would judge what was best in regards to that matter. For now, she hopped off her chair and gave a slight bow of her head before making her way out of the meeting room. Elayne and the rest of her guard falling in behind the Princess

It was a wonderful time princess. We will do it again.Standash makes no move to leave the room, instead settles in pulling up reading on her datapad.

The Imperial Commissariat had undergone several upheavals over the years since the inception of the First Order. Many had filled the role of First Commissar, but few of them had truly been worthy of the title. But that had all changed with Magnus' ascension to the role. He had been among the first group of people assigned to the Commissariat when it had first been formed and he had worked his way up through the ranks before hitting something of a career roadblock. He'd been forced to endure years as the deputy director, while others were promoted ahead of him. But their inadequacies had fallen been their undoing and Magnus had claimed his rightful place.
He stood with his officer's greatcoat on, sigils of the First Order emblazoned upon his shoulders, as he looked out over Coruscant from his office window. Even now, orders were going down the chains of command to signal the change in leadership and the new direction they should begin working toward. A refreshed round of propaganda was prepared for civilian consumption, while a review of all Stormtrooper training academies would be conducted. The Commissariat had fallen from grace, but Magnus would change that

Annelise actually enjoyed meetings and the bureaucracy. She loved getting to show her attention to detail. Standash, loved this about her as well. It meant the Grand Moff didn't have to go to the meetings that didn't require a high-security clearance. She was in the commissariat almost more often than she was in any of the Grand Moff's offices. She walked by to see the new First Commissar taking his walk around his office. She did not approach him but gave him time to be noticed.

The Commissars of the First Order served a vital role of ensuring loyalty within the Citizens and Soldiers of the Empire. Deviance from Neo-Imperialism was dealt with swiftly. For Civilians it meant a nice state sponsored visit to re-education centers, where they were reminded of the chaos and carnage that was wrought upon the Galaxy by the Jedi and the so-called-democracies that had tried to rule. In contrast, the First Order was the one true legitimate power, bringing with it order and justice. Delivering people from the chaos into a world where they could thrive and serve a much greater whole. For Soldiers and Military personnel, however, punishment tended to be far more severe. Summary execution proved extremely useful in handling such cases. Military service was highly revered and members of the service were held to a much higher standard due to the importance of their work.
Such work was more often than not carried out by a Commissar personally, nipping the bud before it could take too much root. But Execution Troopers were reigned into service when a much more public message needed to be made. Order would be restored
Magnus turned his attention away from the skyline of Coruscant and came to a stop as his gaze settled upon Annelise Sitar. The Aide-De-camp of Grand Moff Thul as he recalled. He'd seen her plenty of times within these offices over the years, attending meetings in the Grand Moff's stead. Magnus folded one arm behind his back while waving to Annelise with the other and motioning for her to come into his office. Unlike most, the First Commissar's office sat very unassumingly off a main hallway and had glass panels on all three interior walls. No receptionist sat gate keeping his doorway. But the office did come equipped with the ability to turn the walls opaque, and a suite of anti-spying devices could be turned on to provide privacy to the rooms occupants

She nods and walks in. Everyone knew she was a civilian consultant on military affairs, and she had proven capable to more than just the Grand Moff. She counted on her reputation.Congratulations on your appointment. I was very pleased when I heard. I was not expecting you to move in so quickly.

Magnus offered a friendly smile as he motioned toward one of the two seats in front of his desk for Annelise to take as he sat down in his own chair behind the sturdy wooden desk. It was the only piece of furniture within the Office that was bolted down, in part because it served as a quick escape route in an emergency and was built to withstand a decent amount of blaster fire The gears of the Empire pause for no one Miss Sitar, not even my predecessor Dakarus Starr. The great machine marches on, and we must be vigilant about keeping up and ensuring we fulfil our duties. Something I suspect you understand all too well as Grand Moff Thul's Aide...

She walked in and took a seat. She was very friendly and smiled. This relationship could be an interesting one. She was a member of the office of the Grand Moff, so technically Magnus had no authority over her. At the same time, Standash was very proud of the Carida Academy. They had enjoyed autonomy and had succeeded greatly. This man could affect that. He could also affect the staffing of the Humanitarian fleet. As such, she had to choose words carefully. She has always kept me on my toes, a lot of learning on my feet to be sure. But it lets me travel in one of the fastest ships in the galaxy often so it is a little fun. Just a lot to stay on top of.

The Commissariat was a decently sized department within the Empire, but it did have a relatively large reach in terms of scope. It was true that the Carida Academy did fall more closely within the power of Magnus, while the Humanitarian Fleet was more indirect oversight. As such, Annelise was wise to remain guarded with her words Nubian craft are very well made. Few have managed to match their craftsmanship. Which is indeed quite good for you, given the Grand Moff's expansive portfolio of projects. I suspect our interactions will be much more common going forward. Do assure Grand Moff Thul that I look forward to meeting with her once I settle in. I've heard a great deal about her academy upon Carida...

Those were fun. The green colors really catch people off guard. The Hareb however, works better for most of these tasks. Being able to cross the Empire faster than any other ship helps keeps things rolling. It lets me make sure she is aware of everything. The statement about the Academy triggered something in her. She immediately distrusted the man. She smiled giving nothing away. I am sure the Grand Moff would love to meet with you. Her schedules are very tight, but I am sure she could fit you in at some point.

Staying well informed is the mark of a good leader... He offered a smile in return as she spoke of the Grand Moff being able to fit him in at some point I have no doubt she will find time. Until then, I bid you adieu Miss Sitar. I am sure there are many tasks you must attend to, as do I. The Commissariat needs much tending to, to ensure its proper functioning once more...

Magnus had returned to Coruscant in between academy visits when the news had broken about the Emperor's sudden death. Well, not so sudden for some. His scaled back appearances and events had been noticed by some within the upper echelons of the Empire and were expecting such an announcement. Magnus had been one such person. Part of his job included being aware of the comings and goings of the Empire and a change of power was always a fragile moment when the old reign ends and the new reign begins. When the news broke he postponed all previous travels and stuck to the Throne world, making sure to be in attendance at the funeral and the High Command oath swearing ceremony. He would stick to Coruscant for a few days more in case an opportunity presented itself to see and speak with the Emepror. The last thing he needed was the Commissariat being shuttered
