Chom'rakor orders the Sesk'vati to move out and support Trishna, shouldering his blaster rifle and motioning for his fellow Sesk'vati to form up in three 3-Twi'lek fireteams as they hastily follow after the Jedi.
As she is in the lead position, Trishna will be the first to witness the moment the rakghoul pack, their numbers having dwindled down to fifteen after the initial confrontation with the Sesk'vati and the Jedi, turns about and begins to charge towards the beings hounding them. Six of the rakghoul, at the head of the pack, leap or run towards Trishna, while the remaining nine divide into a group of four and another of five that charge for the left around the Jedi and towards the Sesk'vati fireteams . . .

Trishna does not halt when the six rakghoul begin closing on her, their intent to charge her easy to see; instead Trishna brings her lightsaber into a two handed grip and raises it overhead in preparation to engage the group of beasts that were once citizens of the world she has come to watch over. Leaping upwards when she and the rakghoul are about to meet, Trishna angles her lightsaber down on a diagonal to her right, slicing the lead rakghoul in half. The light from her humming saber becoming a blur as she calls upon the Force to grant her movements preternatural swiftness, Trishna slays three more rakghoul before her boots hit the ground once more.
Swinging her lightsaber upwards to her left, Trishna pierces the side of another rakghoul, and then cries out in pain as the last of her six attackers rakes its claws across her right hip as it charges past her. Turning to face the rakghoul as it turns to charge her once again, Trishna drops her right hand from her lightsaber hilt to hold her wounded hip and, standing her ground as the beast charges and leaps for her, steps to the side at the last moment and arcs her singing lightsaber out to stab the rakghoul's throat. Panting as the rakghoul's body thuds to the ground, Trishna looks towards where the Sesk'vati had made their own stands to see if any require her help. . .

The Sesk'vati fireteams, with Chom'rakor's team in the point position, halt when the rakghoul turn and renew their attack. Holding their ground, the Sesk'vati, spaced out in a roughly wedge-shaped formation, open fire on the last of the rakghoul, each member of the team sticking only to their areas of responsibility despite the urge to fire indiscriminately as the growling beasts get closer and closer, trusting their comrades to handle their individual areas of responsibility.
The Sesk'vati's discipline pays off, the last of the rakghoul being killed with no injuries being sustained.
Once the battle has ended, Chom'rakor orders one member of his team to contact their superior to report their success, and then approaches Trishna to ask, "How badly were you hurt? I can have our medic look after that wound, and then worriedly asks, Is there a chance you've been infected?"

Lifting her hand, bloody from having held her wounded side, Trishna arches an eyebrow inquisitively as, pondering silently whether or not her unique physiology will grant her immunity from the rakghoul infection, she admits in an almost amused tone, "You know, I'm not really sure, as a matter of fact. Returning her hand to her side to try and staunch the blood she can feel still flows freely, Trishna looks down at the spreading stain of blood on her robes as she muses aloud, There is an antidote, however, so I shall try not to panic just yet. Would one of your hospitals have the antidote, I wonder?"
If the antidote is not available on Ryloth, Trishna supposes that she may have to leave to seek it on another planet, or arrange to have it couriered - very swiftly - to Ryloth; it is probably best, she thinks to herself, to err on the side of caution. While she does enjoy changing who she is and what she does often, the woman that has elected to become Trishna for the time being does not imagine that being a rakghoul would be entertaining at all.

Chom'rakor, unsure of whether or not the antidote to a plague such as the rakghoul, which is not commonplace, would be readily available, frowns in concern as he says, "I do not know, Master Jedi. I am sorry. Lifting a hand and raising his index finger to wave it in a circle to signal his team to get ready to move out, Chom tries to sound more reassuring as he says, One of our Sesk’ryvak, of the medical caste, is sure to know the answer, and how to quickly make the antidote if it is not available. Let us make haste," Chom concludes, waving for his point-man to go ahead of them as they begin to make their way from the subterranean tunnels to the surface of the city.
Sending his team to go and report in on the success of their mission, Chom'rakor leads Trishna to a medical center, bustling and full of wounded from the recent attack upon Ryloth, to seek out an answer to the question of the antidote's availability. Once they have been taken to the medical center's highest available ranking Sesk’ryvak and made her aware of Trishna's injury and the possibility of infection it presents, Chom and the Jedi are informed that in the aftermath of the attack, synthesis of an antidote to the rakghoul plague had begun as soon as possible given the fact that the plague had been released during that attack.
The Sesk'ryvak, Feen'ani, personally accompanies Trishna to an available exam room where the Jedi is instructed to lay down while Feen quickly and deftly inserts an I.V. and then goes about preparing the antidote for infusion. As she programs the infusion rate and amount into the I.V. pump, the light purple skinned Tyrian Twi'lek explains, "The infusion runs over an hour, and assuming that you have no adverse reaction to it, you will be discharged afterwards. Stepping back and watching the drip chamber for a moment, Feen says, I am nearly certain that we've begun administration in plenty of time, but since the plague was one that we believe involved some Darkside related alchemy in its genesis, we'll observe you closely and analyze your blood work frequently to make sure that the antidote is having the desired effect. Smiling and doing her best to sound reassuring, Feen suggests, Try and relax. We'll know soon whether or not there's any cause for concern I imagine."

Trishna's mild concern about the possibility that the rakghoul infection might pose some threat to her is alleviated when, after Chom'rakor takes her to a medcenter and she is quickly taken to a room where the antidote will be administered to her, she lays down so that Feen'ani can insert an IV. Frowning unseen beneath her headscarf when, less than reassuringly, Feen'ani mentions that the rakghoul plague had possibly involved Darkside alchemy, Trishna nods and agrees, "I imagine we will, yes," and then, doing her best to take Feen'ani's advice about trying to relax, closes her eyes as the administration of the antidote begins.
Focusing on her breathing, Trishna attempts to clear her mind, to free herself of concerns and cares that would distract her from connecting with the Force as she intends. Once she has settled into the proper mindset, Trishna switches her focus to forging a connection with the Force. Though her abilities are more stealth and combat oriented, Trishna has a rudimentary understanding of healing techniques, and she seeks to determine whether or not she might need to call upon them in order to be completely sure that the infection has no chance to take her. Fortunately, Trishna soon learns, the antidote will be more than sufficient to the task of curing her, and so she allows herself to doze while the antidote finishes being infused.
Once her bloodwork has confirmed that the antidote has done its job, Trishna thanks Feen'ani and uses her comlink to try and reach Ayy'teska to ask if the plan to meet with the Head Clan and its advisors still stands.

When contacted by Ryloth's Watchman, Ayy'teska had confirmed that the plan to gather with the Head Clan and Council of Kivas; though when she had later learned of what befell the Jedi and the Sesk'vati in the subterranean caverns beneath the city, Ayy found herself wishing that the meeting could have been postponed to afford the Jedi an opportunity to recuperate from the battle and the injury she had sustained while fighting in it.
Hirani'eyan, one of the Fire Temple's Force sensitive Sesk'nabsilai, accompanies Ayy'teska to the gathering, keeping nearby unobtrusively. Watching for Trishna's arrival, Ayy moves to greet her when the Watchman enters the room that had been prepared for the meeting between the Head Clan, the Council of Kivas, and Ryloth's newly appointed Jedi Watchman. Bowing, Ayy says warmly, "Kah'lehalle so fendoon, Watchman Menon. With so little of the Jedi's face uncovered, Ayy focuses on the human's eyes to see what can be read within them as she asks with sincere concern, This will not be too taxing for you I hope? All here would understand if you would prefer that this informal gathering is kept brief so that you can rest."

Returning Ayy's bow, Trishna assures her, "Your Sesk'ryvak looked after me well, so you need not worry about me." Having changed into a fresh set of robes identical to those that she had worn upon her arrival, Trishna, in fact, looks untouched by her little adventure beneath the city; her unique physiology and talents where utilizing the Force to mend her wounds is concerned ensuring that she not only looks untouched, but has been left unmarked as well.
Meeting the Twi'lek's eyes for a beat to give the impression that she is not uncomfortable with being scrutinized, Trishna glances around the room at the other members of Ryloth's political leadership present as she says, "My duty is not something I would define as taxing either, and it is my sincere hope that I am able to learn of other ways I might be of assistance to Ryloth during our time together tonight. Rest, she says while returning her gaze to the Twi'lek to emphasize her statement, is not something I seek or anticipate finding much of."

Ayy smiles as she tells the Jedi, "I meant to imply nothing lacking in your commitment to your duty, so you must forgive me if I misspoke. Though, she laughs, I do also hope that we can find a way to ensure that you manage to get at least some rest before we find a host of tasks for you to do. Gathering from the Jedi's comments and actions thusfar that she is not merely saying the expected things about her sense of duty, Ayy purses her lips in thought as she considers what kinds of things the Jedi will find to occupy her time and attention in her post as Ryloth's Watchman, and after a moment or two says, Our biggest challenges, aside from the reconstruction and recovery efforts needed in the aftermath of the recent attack, are likely to be familiar ones to you. Smuggling and slavers are, I imagine, not problems unique to Ryloth. Pointing out Elav'passik, a thin, blue skinned Rutian Twi'lek, Ayy says, Elav'passik is the leader of Kala'uun's Sesk'vati. He would be able to tell you more of the known criminal elements on Ryloth, and would be able to find ways or you to help in fighting against them as well, I am sure."

Following the Twi'lek's gaze towards the Sesk'vati she speaks of, Trishna listens as Ayy'teska explains what she believes are some of Ryloth's most pressing issues. The being that has chosen to replace the Jedi Trisada Menon in both name and duty, having assumed many names and stations over the course of her long life, knows as much if not more of smugglers and slavers than a true Jedi would know of such things, and so can say truly, "I have some insight into such things, and would be happy to help the Sesk'vati combat the smugglers and slavers that would prey upon Ryloth. I shall have to make a point of speaking with your Elav'passik soon," Trishna says, looking at the Sesk'vati in question a moment longer to commit his face to memory.
Turning to the other things Ayy'teska had mentioned, Trishna asks, "How are the reconstruction efforts going? Was much of the city damaged during the recent attack? Was much learned of those responsible for the attacks?"

"I can introduce you to Elav'passik before the evening ends, Ayy tells Trishna, making a mental note to do just that. Addressing the Jedi's questions regarding the recent attack upon Ryloth, Ayy says, We are making some headway in restoring the damage done to the city. It will take some time, naturally, for the residential areas hardest hit to be completely rebuilt, but a recent donation from a citizen of Umgul has made us hopeful that we can expedite the reconstruction a great deal."
Pursing her lips in thought, Ayy continues, "As for what was learned of our attackers, Elav will probably be able to tell you more than I. They possessed ou well equipped and disciplined infantry and naval forces; and it is believed they were led by Dark Siders of some kind. Beyond that, Ayy concludes, I can tell you little more. There is some footage of the leaders Elav may be able to provide you with, though from what I understand there was no formal communication between the invading force and Ryloth."

Trishna listens to all that Ayy says, or at least does her best to appear as though she does; given that she has only taken on the identity of a Jedi Watchman, and has no access to the Order's resources, her work here on Ryloth will necessarily need to be confined to a local level that does not require support from the Order, making pursuing any leads that might enable her to track those responsible for the recent attack on Ryloth an impossibility. Smugglers and slavers, on the other hand, are not beyond her ability to combat, especially if she has the Sesk'vati to work alongside, or at least provide her intel.
"A pity, Trisada says with a small frown when Ayy has finished speaking, It sounds as though the Darksiders responsible for the attack have escaped to wherever it is they came from leaving little trace behind. I will, she lies easily, see if the Order has any reports of similar attacks after getting what intel the Sesk'vati may have managed to gather on them."

"We are most appreciative for anything you and the Jedi Order can do, of course, Ayy says, pursing her lips in thought before continuing, Though, in truth, where any information that might reveal where our attackers came from is concerned, I fear Ryloth is in no position to pursue them. Nor, she adds in an almost reluctant tone that is as much question as speculation, is your Order given all else that I imagine they have on their plate at the moment. I believe, Ayy says in a lighter tone, it is in Ryloth and your Order's best interests to focus their attention elsewhere. In Ryloth's case, Ayy says, on rebuilding and taking steps to ensure that our defense force is strengthened and bolstered so that any future invaders are met with a more organized response. I fear we were too slow to reorganize after the collapse of the Republic."
"I believe you are right, Elav'passik says, joining Ayy and the Jedi she is speaking with. Elav'passik, the thin, blue-skinned Twi'lek introduces himself. A pleasure to meet you, Jedi Watchman Menon," he adds with a smile, revealing that he is quiet well informed.

Trishna nods with a bemused half-smile after Ayy suggests, in essence, that there would be little point in pursuing those responsible for the recent attack upon Ryloth, relieved that the need to fabricate any intelligence from the Jedi Order she merely impersonates a member of would seem to have all but been lifted from her. Acting the part she has elected to play for so long as it amuses her will, Trishna suspects, be far easier if she can focus on the planetary level while operating independent of any oversight from the Jedi council.
Bowing a greeting to Elav after the Sesk'vati has introduced himself, Trishna says, "Likewise. I look forward to working with you. Sou'kiva Ayy'teska, she inclines her head towards the Tolian Kiva, has been telling me a bit about some of the crime and other problems the Sesk'vati combat, and as a part of my duty as the Watchman of the Ryloth Star System, I am naturally committed to confronting those issues as well. Perhaps, she inclines her head at an inquisitive angle, we might arrange a time to meet and discuss how I might assist the Sesk'vati. Provided, she adds in a tone suggesting her intent is to make it evident that she is not implying in any way that the Sesk'vati are not up to the task themselves, my assistance would be welcome of course."

Elav'passik, not one known for his sense of humor or warmth, says simply but honestly, "We'd be foolish to turn aside any help, Watchman Menon. If you have no other plans tomorrow morning, I could meet with you then to give you an overview of our efforts to combat smuggling, slavery, and other criminal problems. You will, he smiles thinly, have a plethora of options to choose from where lending a hand is concerned, I assure you."

Inclining her head in a bow, the woman who has decided to become Trishna Menon in name, spirit, and deed, says, "I have come to serve, and so serve I will. Smiling as she clasps her hands behind her back, Trishna says, So you see, knowing that there are so many ways I may serve is welcome news indeed to me. I look forward to our next meeting, Elav'passik."
Returning her attention to Ayy'teska once Elav has taken his leave, Trishna asks, "Are there any others here you believe I should meet before the evening ends? Lifting a hand to massage her right temple, Trishna admits reluctantly, I believe today's excitement has begun to catch up with me after all."

Ayy'teska nods with a sympathetic smile, telling Trishna, "I understand completely. Glancing around, her lips pursed in thought as she considers whether any of the other guests present could not be met with another time for one reason or another, Ayy is silent a moment before she says, I do not believe anyone here would be greatly offended if you were leave now. Motioning for Hirani'eyan, the Sesk'nabsilai accompanying her, to join them as they depart, Ayy tells Trishna, Come, we will show you to the Fire Temple," as that is where Trishna will be staying until more permanent arrangements can be made for the Wathcman's accommodations while on Ryloth.
Not wishing to tax the Jedi Watchman unduly in light of her exhaustion, Ayy does not try to engage her in conversation as they make their way to the Fire Temple, instead confining her conversation to pointing out local points of interest, and then to giving Trishna an idea of how the Fire Temple is laid out to help her get around more easily. After arriving at the room Trishna has been given the use of, Ayy asks, "Is there anything else you require at this time, Master Jedi?"

"Not at this time, no, Trishna answers, giving what she feels is a Jedi-like bow as she adds, Thank you."
After Ayy has departed, Trishna paces the small, humbly accommodated room for a moment to familiarize herself with it, using the time to go over the events of the day in her mind as well. Her first day spent officially in her newly chosen role, Trishna feels, was a promising one; she had believed playing a Jedi would be amusing and entertaining, and was not disappointed in the least. It will grow dull in time, Trishna knows from the many, many roles she has chosen to play in the past, but that does not mean that she cannot allow herself to enjoy her new identity and all that it allows her to see and do. Ryloth's culture, from what she had learned from Trishna before taking the woman's name along with her life, is a fascinating one, and she has learning and experiencing more of it to look forward to as she plays the role of Ryloth's Watchman.
In the morning Trishna leaves the Fire Temple before most of the priestesses have awoken, taking some time to wander the streets and rooftops of the city to gain a feel for it and begin to build an understanding of its layout, and then makes her way to where she will meet the Sesk'vati Elav'passik.

After welcoming the Jedi and offering her caf, Elav motions for her to follow him to a his office. Once they are both seated, Elav steeples his fingers beneath his chin, his right lekku swishing up from behind his back to curl around his neck, and after pausing to consider the best way to open the discussion about how the Jedi Watchman might help the Sesk'vati confront the tasks that fall to them to see through.
As he does not know where Menon's interests or skills lay, or what degree of involvement she is looking for in aiding the Sesk'vati given that he assumes she has other duties as a Watchman that will require her attention, Elav decides it will be best to find out what he can of those matters so that he can tailor their discussion accordingly. "Before we get down to the nitty gritty, Master Jedi, what can you tell me about how you envision working with us? By that I mean that are many facets to what we do, from gathering evidence and building a case, he lifts his right hand, all the way to, he lifts his left hand, patrolling the streets of Lessu and other cities. Where is it you wish to contribute, I suppose is the better question."

Trishna's eyes reveal that she smiles unseen beneath her headscarf's veil as she nods to convey that she has heard Elav's question, pursing her lips in thought for a moment afterwards to consider the matter of how she would like to help the Sesk'vati. Her identities chosen, as was that of Jedi Watchman, to prevent the onset of the boredom that her long life might invite were she ever denied the opportunity to shed one life so that she could step into another, Trishna has fought in countless wars; patrolled streets, jungles, mountains, plains, and skies; but investigation is something she has not done, at least not recently enough that it has lost its appeal to exercise her intellect rather than her combat prowess.
"I believe I would very much like to help gather evidence, and to build a case, Trishna answers at last, asking then, What case do you have most in need of solving? That is the one I would like to help with."
