The Emperor's visit to the Empress Teta system was one of great surprise. The monarchy, +a line that has stretched since the days of the Warrior Empress, Teta, herself, were quite elated at the visit. It had been some time since Nicademus visited the system, not since the banner of the Deep Core Remnant flew within the capital of Cinnagar. Koros Major, and its system, had resumed independence since those days, but were still friendly to their Imperial neighbors, especially after Coruscant was taken.
The Emperor did not request much pomp, but was still greeted by a guard of Tetan security personnel and an armored car for transportation. His own troopers commandeered one of the escort vehicles and a couple joined their liege in the personal transport. And soon, they were underway, within the expanse that some dubbed 'Little Coruscant'. His aide, an Imperial named Darex, sat across from the Emperor as Nicademus looked out the window.
I wish Faina could have come.
The male says to his aide, causing Darex to look up.
But duty kept her away... she is still mothering our son, Remus, and she wanted to get back into leading the Imperial Knights once more.
Nicademus exhales slightly as he continues to observe the system. The Imperial moves away for a moment to look at Darex.
The Empress' home... I remember when we claimed it for the Deep Core Remnant. It was probably one of the few places with a good source of tax revenue, besides what could be acquired from the business at Foerost and the bank of Aargau. A good source of manpower too. A number of the Stormtroopers back then were either clones of Khomm, former loyalists of Cade Fel, and persons recruited from this system.
The Emperor smiles, looking back at the ecumenopolis.
I am glad to see that she has been spared the ravages of the galaxy's wars and conflicts.

While the title of Emperor and Empress of the Tetan worlds had ceased to exist, some time after the Great Sith War, a monarchal leadership persisted. The main line, descended from Empress Teta herself, had ceased as the bloodline faltered due to violent actions during that time period. Lord Keto and his sister were executed, while Aleema and Satal died as casualties of war. As a result, various lines of those that were cousins and relatives of the main ruled on and off throughout the many centuries and millennia that followed. The ruling monarchs were Queen Otara and, her husband, Antoran. They had ruled since the time that Emperor Nicademus was Supreme Commander and Head of State for the Deep Core Remnant. His arrival to Empress Teta, which was said to be a personal visit, was nonetheless welcomed by the royal couple.
As a result, the Imperial found himself being offered lavish quarters that did make him uncomfortable. Although a self-proclaimed royal, Nicademus had a great disdain towards pomp and luxury. Whereas other royals wore flashy outfits and rich jewelry, he kept to his officer garments, without any decorum save the emblem of the First Order. Nicademus remembered a time when he met the King of New Alderaan and how his ambassador set up a lavish reception and picked an expensive location for the meeting... the Emperor was hardly pleased with that and it did result in the ambassador's early retirement as punishment. As such, the Imperial requested something more modest and the Queen understood. So chambers were offered where dignitaries tended to live. These were still lavish, to a degree, but several steps down from what was offered before.
His stormtroopers surveyed the quarters before letting the Emperor enter with his aides. Nicademus sat down on the bed before rubbing his neck slightly. A request for an audience had been put through the necessary channels and it would result in a few days of letting him do as he desired. Seeing Cinnagar would be nice, it had been some time since the sights were viewed. He dismissed his aides and guards, save for two at the door. The Imperial laid on the bed and, soon enough, fell asleep.

The King and Queen had accepted the audience of the visiting Emperor. His presence was most welcomed as a former sovereign of Koros Major. His First Order had, surprisingly, not imposed rule, just yet upon this vitally important system. It was the gateway into the Deep Core if one looked at a hyperlane map. Nicademus' visit was not without an intention. True, he wanted to see this ecumenopolis of the Deep Core again, but there was more to it. And that subject came up when the Emperor came to speak with Queen Otara and King Antoran.
.... I believe this will be an ideal arrangement. Empress Teta would become a vital part of the Empire and share in its prosperity. In return, the local government of the planet will be respected. Your line will continue to rule without Imperial interference. We will only intercede if need be.
There had been more to this conversation, such as economic deals, military pacts, and the likes. Empress Teta was one of the rare exceptions where concessions had to be made and a compromise hammered out. Nicademus knew that if he tried to force the subject, it would result in an invasion. A bloody one at that. The Imperial was keen to make this a peaceful transition and one that was favorable to both sides. The Queen seemed to be silent, for a moment longer, before speaking.
=Queen Otara= You are willing to do this? For us?
The Emperor speaks without much hesitation.
Empress Teta has an old history, one that should be respected. As before, I will not impose Imperialization upon your worlds unless you accepted it. Your title will remain, your throne secure, your line will continue to rule. together, we will prosper. Do we have an agreement?
The King and Queen looked at each other before both nodded. And with that, the system would belong to the Empire.

Alongside the Imperial Stormtroopers that had been deployed from the Victory III in orbit, a detachment of Purge Troopers were dispatched from Prakith to Empress Teta. Unlike the regular Stormtroopers, the Purge Troopers were assigned as additional security and protection to vital infrastructure and governmental buildings across Ciinagar. The Commander would liaise with a representative from the Palace to ensure a good working relationship. The planet fell within the Ren's Oversector, and they planned to ensure it's safety and security

Per the agreement between Nicademus and King Antoran, Empress Teta was mostly left to its own devices. Governor Haro Bibble handled much of the administrative tasks for the Deep Core, ensuring the proper functioning of each world. Here, his job was much more complex as he threaded the concessionary terms that existed. As far as he was concerned, it was not an ideal agreement. But the Emperor had seen fit to settle on the terms he had, and so Haro would abide by them. Passing his work and orders through the Palace so they could be executed or have deficiencies improved

The streets of Cinnagar were alive with activity. Today was one of their great cultural holidays, which was the liberation of the Empress Teta system from the Krath oppressors at the conclusion of the Great Sith War. Granted, this would see banners of the Old Republic raised alongside the banners of royalty and nobility, the Imperials did not seem upset nor did they try to stop the celebrations. All the Stormtroopers do would police as they usually did, under the orders of Governor Haro, his Chief of Security, and the Imperial garrison commander. As such, the cheers and merry atmosphere hardly seemed disrupted by the Imperial presence. People went about to play games, sing songs, listen to tales of Old Empress Teta, and more. Such celebrations always helped the populace be happy.

Missionary of the Obsidian Order
Unlike the rest of the Deep Core, the Ren did not have a direct sway or control upon Empress Teta. The Emperor had allowed the world a great latitude of freedom and independence. As such, much and more work needed to be put in by the Obsidian Order to establish a series of smaller outposts to slowly build up confidence. Purge Trooper and Stormtrooper Garrisons helped with projecting a message that the Ren were there to help protect the people. While the movement wouldn't ever become super populist, the small foothold they held was more than enough

The Nox Cathedral What had started out and deemed a likely failure of a mission to Empress Teta, had quickly seen a swift turn for the better in the months that followed the Obsidian Order's arrival to the world. People from across the city planet flocked to the order, allowing its popularity and political influence to reach further and further. Silas took a great interest in Empress Teta then, seeing visions of a world which would be much needed in the near future. As such, he worked with the Master of the Ren and agents of Section 11 that had been seeded into the Obsidian Order and Tetan society, to secure land within Cinnagar for the construction of a new Cathedral. Knowing what the future held, Silas oversaw the design and planning phase.
unlike The Lux Cathedral upon Byss, The Nox Cathedral was going to serve a dual purpose: as the home of the Magisterium, but also the head church of the Obsidian Order.
4 spires reached up to the sky, interconnected by garden bridges that also doubled as landing pads for smaller ships in sets of 2 spires. The smallest of the spires served as the main heart of the Obsidian Order, the remaining three spires all had restricted access which served as the offices of Section 11. Beneath the plaza were several underground facilities similar to those found upon Byss for training and cloning. Another addition was an underground transit system which connected the towers to a remote spaceport facility exclusively for use by the Magisterium. Anti-air, anti-troop, and anti-ground weaponry emplacements and a dedicated shield generator that would cover the plaza were all features built into the Cathedral.
Once construction was finished, Silas would move all major operations over to Empress Teta, continuing upon the path he had foreseen for the future of the Ren

The Nox Cathedral Construction of The Nox Cathedral progressed relatively well. The foundational plaza was constructed before the base of the four towers were laid out and the first several floors were constructed. Based upon the design of the Cathedral, the towers were several floors up, before construction and digging equipment was brought in to begin upon the underground portions of this fortification. While it would have been easier to dig out the foundations and space required, instead of retroactively adding it, the secrecy of this space was much preferred. Thus the workers pushed on, digging out and building the underground facilities as they went and ensuring that the above ground plaza did not suffer a malfunction Missionary of the Obsidian OrderThe Obsidian Order continued its much needed work, expanding its influence and membership. Those everyday folk that proved themselves, were made aware of the Magisterium and the valuable work it did for the Ren. While those of nobility and wealth were kept in the dark about The Magisterium, but were welcomed into the inner circle of the Obsidian Order. There they were provided information to increase their fortunes or to ensure their compliance with the Order's wishes

Aurora Base At great expense and with the backing of several Nobles, land was purchased on one of the last few remaining Mountains that dotted Empress Teta. It was here that construction was begun upon Aurora Base. A mountain side fortress which would appear as 5 tall command like towers and a central base area. Once completed, the towers would house the shield generators and defence emplacements for warding off attacks. Meanwhile the base structure would provide 2 large landing pads for anything up to a small warship to land on, while a multitude of hangar bay doors along the front face of the base would allow for smaller craft to enter into the depths of the mountain where much more secure housing would exist. 3 of the towers would also house elevator platforms allowing for mid sized transports to land and be lowered down inside or raised up from the depths of the base.
Construction began by hollowing out the massive caverns that would be needed to create the interior space of the base, with temporary and permanent reinforcements being built to prevent collapses. Crews also got to work on the underground transit connecting Aurora Base with The Nox Cathedral
The Nox Cathedral The Nox Cathedral construction was progressing well as work was starting over on Aurora base. Workers above and below ground shifted dirt and raised massive structures. Construction equipment littered the Plaza with building supplies being brought in at an almost constant stream. Off-site workers setup in warehouses to carve and prepare features which would later be installed in the Plaza for visitors to admire

Silas stood on the viewing balcony as it looked out over the city of Cinnagar and the construction site where the Nox Cathedral was slowly rising up from the ground. While it was almost impossible to discern the mass of workers swarming the site carrying out their duties, the massive cranes and trucks were much easier to watch as they moved supplies about. He smiled to himself as he continued to wait. While the Cinnagar Royal Palace was large and had sweeping sight lines across multiple angles, this was the main viewing balcony that the Royal Family made use of. The Palace square sat just below it, where crowds would gather during speeches and other important events. Silas had specifically chosen the construction site for this very reason. Every time the Royal Family stepped out onto this Balcony, they would be reminded of the Cathedral and the Obsidian Order.
Which was why he suspected he had been summoned to the Palace. The relative autonomy that Empress Teta had been granted upon joining the First Order had created a weird dynamic between the Royal Family and the Knights of Ren that ruled the Deep Core. They existed almost entirely separate of the Ren with the ultimate power over Empress Teta and decisions concerning it. Given this separation and unknown loyalties, Harnan had not made them aware of the existence of the Magisterium. Thus, as far as the Royal Family was concerned, Silas was the head of the religious sect known as the Obsidian Oder. Which he had no doubt they had summoned him to answer questions regarding.
The honour guard spilled out onto the balcony, taking up posts in the corners and along the face of the building. Silas turned around just in time as Queen Otara and King Antoran exited the massive double doors on the balcony. He offered a low bow in greeting to the reigning Monarchs Your Majesties, it is an honour...
You may rise Arch-Mage Darkstar... That is your title correct? Silas straightened up out of his bow as instructed whilst being greeted by the Queen. His outfit remained undisturbed That is correct Your Majesty. It is a title bestowed upon me by the Obsidian Order...
And how does one become Arch-Mage of the Obsidian Order? A rather new sect, as far as anyone can tell us... As he offered a innocent smile to the Monarchs, there was a wicked grin concealed deep beneath it. Inquiries into the Order's past and formation had been expected as it grew in power and popularity. Teta was quickly becoming an ideal test ground for just how durable the shroud was. So far it was working well Revelation... Revelation and Clarity. In our darkest moments, just before death, the Divine will reach out its hand and offer you a chance to live again... That is what happened to me. I grew up on a far-flung world at the edges of the galaxy, where my people practised magic and worshipped an entity we called Umbra. He is the lord of death, but also rebirth. New life grows the strongest where old life has perished. But the Jedi did not see things that way... Those fanatic zealots believe only their "goddess" of light is pure and noble and reject any notion of darkness. My people were slaughtered by those... those cowards. We fought to the last man, woman, and child... The massacre was in its final moments as the Jedi held me captive and forced me to watch as they killed the last of my people... But I prayed to Umbra in my final moments, and that's when his Knights appeared... The blades of Umbra stepped forth from the shadows and cut down the Jedi. Their crimson sabers swung in great arcs... The Knights of Ren saved me. They delivered justice unto the heathens and when all was done, the Princess freed me from my bonds and offered me her hand... He closed his eyes and leaned his head back, inhaling the fresh air as if recalling that moment Charity and kindness... Divine Revelation... Silas' eyes opened and he lowered them from the sky and looked back to the pair of royals as they seem wrapped up in his story and explanation Princess Fiora gave me a chance to live again. Only a fool would have declined such an offer. Death and Rebirth... Umbra's will... I saw the Knights of Ren for what they truly were, avatars of the Divine Will. Thus it saddened me to hear that so many within the First Order seemed to revile Umbra's Knights... I founded the Obsidian Order to spread the good word of the Knights of Ren. Though they use darker powers, they are not evil. They are not blinded by light like the Jedi and Imperial Knights, and they do not selfishly seek personal power like the Sith... I preached this good word and grew my flock. It was they who bestowed this title upon me. Umbra bestowed upon me the power of visions and magic. Gifts which I have shared with countless others... The Queen and King seemed to remain silent for a moment as Silas finished his explanation. Their informants would have certainly relayed tales of the Arch-Mages visions and powers, for they were part of the public image he had cultivated over the past months Fascinating...
Truly incredible... Yes, we had certainly heard horrible things about these Knights of Ren before and just after Emperor Delvardus visited us and offered us a place within the First Order. But despite this, they abided by the agreement. There had even been concerns about Princess Fiora... Dark whispers in dark corners that spoke of her corruption. But as usually is the case, such rumours were little more than that...
I assure you Queen Otara, Princess Fiora is far from corrupted. Harnan Ren, the Master of the Ren, loves her as if she were a daughter. He has trained her to fight and be a powerful warrior in her own right. She would strike down those that threaten the peace and stability of the First Order. But she shows kindness and compassion to any that lay down their arms and embrace the right path... Silas mentally took a note to investigate the sources of these rumours regarding the Princess. Undoubtedly drunk old fools that had found their incompetence as their own downfall but chose to blade someone for their own actions. Though there certainly seemed a sect of the First Order that praised the Imperial Knights and saw their light as good, while the Ren's use of the darkside was deemed evil on mere whim alone. He offered up a smile I promise that my Order has no malicious intent upon Empress Teta, Your Majesties... I hope this has helped allay any fears you may have had?
It has been very enlightening Arch-Mage... However, this is one matter we would wish to discuss with you...
Of course, I place myself at your disposal... So long as it is within my power... He had been waiting and expecting this moment to come since arriving here. He had peered into the future and seen the ailment that befell the Prince of Empress Teta. It presented leverage with which Silas could increase his standing with the Royal Family and lead them along the path he had laid out for them

Aurora Base & The Nox Cathedral Construction was continuing to be carried out at the pair of sites, progressively building up the new headquarters for the Magisterium and Obsidian Order. Priority was placed on completing the lower levels where the Obsidian Order head church was operating out of, allowing a new congregation to be welcomed in and new sermons to be delivered. Massive super structures for housing starfighters were being erected within the mountains while work was being begun upon the mountainside facade Per his carefully laid out plans, Silas was introduced to the young Prince Elisjar. He was a young boy of no more than 7 years old that looked sickly and frail. Countless Doctors had tried to diagnose the boy's condition to no avail. What ailed him was immune to bacta treatment and all other forms of medicine. Thanks to his visions, Silas knew all too well what was causing the boy's condition. A very rare and exotic parasitic life form from the far reaches of the Unknown Regions which had hitch-hiked it's way to Empress Teta. Here it had landed within the Young Prince and was feeding off of Elisjar's life force.
By playing his cards right, Silas was granted access to the Prince and performed a binding spell upon the parasite, restricting it's ability to feed and allow the Prince to begin to grow healthy once more. But not without the need for follow up visits by Silas to help heal Elisjar further and remove the sickness that no medical doctor had been able to divine the truth of. Given Queen Otara had only managed to birth one child, Silas quickly earned her favour for saving her son from a premature death. The Arch-Mage exploited this new found position to influence others within the Court. Even leading special sermons within the Palace. Any chance he got, he would speak highly of Princess Fiora and eventually convinced the Queen to meet the Princess

Faina DelvardusA visit by the Emperor and his wife certainly brought the public out and the media with it. Nicademus decided upon a personal visit, with Faina, to the Empress Teta system for a much needed break from governance and especially due to the fact that Faina's homeland was this very system on the edge of the Deep Core. Their arrival came aboard the warship, Suzerain, and a full complement of the 501st Legion as their royal escort. The first days were very much the pair waving to the crowds, meeting with local magistrates, garrison commanders, and the public before inspecting new projects and making a speech or two. Especially before the Monument of Lost Navigators and the Great Library of Cinnagar. Eventually though, the Stormtroopers forced the media away, allowing the Imperial couple their true purpose for this visit and that was to relax.
Finding some tranquility within the Core District, the two settled down in a pleasant villa that overlooked the never-resting activity of the capital city. Before their gaze, one could see the brilliant palaces and Upper Quarters where the Tetan monarchy ruled. There was a visit to happen in the next day or so. An official representative welcomed the Emperor and Empress with a small banquet before relaying a message of a meeting between the two royal households. Nicademus, ever so, despised the pomp of their arrival, but the public sure loved their royals and rulers to be up-thrusted by the media and by ceremony.
The Emperor, having freshly washed up, and wearing simpler clothes now, yet nonetheless of a military standard, walked over to the viewport, gazing out at the Core District and some of the nearby scenery. Faina could be heard, somewhere, using the refresher herself now. A knock was heard at the door, causing him to walk over and find a Stormtrooper guard present. He salutes His Majesty and reports that their lunch was on its way up. Thanking the trooper, Nicademus closes the door and returns to relaxing. His arm was certainly sore from all the damn waving...

Faina had been away from her homeworld long enough that she had forgotten how alike it was to Coruscant, both city-planets with capitals covering the majority of its landmass; though Empress Teta still has some areas of wildlife, including forests and plains, where Coruscant did not. Faina had not grown up in the Core District, however, and has found it somewhat strange to find herself surrounded by the luxury available here on her homeworld even though it is familiar enough given its similarity to the lifestyle she has grown accustomed to after having married Nicademus. Though the hand waving, inspections and meetings with magistrates are also by now so familiar to her that she can endure them with an ease that she and Nicademus have cultivated over the years, Faina is still glad when they are done with such things here on her homeworld and can finally enjoy some time to themselves. Unlike other married couples in positions requiring high public profiles coupled with often exhausting duties and other demands, Faina is grateful that she and Nicademus have never felt as though such breaks from their duties were needed to "reconnect"; one of the things that she and Nicademus had cultivated from the very first days of their marriage and have continued to hold sacred to the present day is always making an effort to find time in the day, no matter how busy or how much physical distance might divide them, to talk and share their experiences, thoughts and feelings so that any sense of disconnect between them never had a chance to gain a foothold. Even so, times such as now when they can be alone and have no demands upon their time and have consciously set aside their respective duties, as much as possible, are precious to them both, and Faina is as grateful and appreciative of them as she knows Nicademus is.
Dressed in a long, flowing white minimalistic dress that walks a perfectly balanced line between casual comfort and elegance, her hair in a simple bun top knot that matches the sensibility of her attire, Faina joins Nicademus as he looks out onto the Core District, putting an arm around his waist and resting her head on his shoulder with a contented sigh. After a few moments of comfortable silence, Faina says, "We should try and get out into one of the forests while we're here, love. Laughing a bit, she crinkles her nose as she asks, How long has it been since you've seen an actual tree? Pursing her lips in thought as she considers her own answer to the question, Faina remembers, Ah, it would have been a week ago on Agamar, for me."

Ah yes, Agamar. Nicademus was aware of his wife's trip there with one of the representatives of the Witches of Dathomir, Mavera Nako. Everyone knew this particular woman considering her companion, an immense rancor named Dawntree. The Governor of Agamar had reported the creatures arrival along with Faina, Mavera, and his two youngester children as they came to enjoy the hospitality and atmosphere of the prized agri-world. Feeling his wife get comfortable beside him, the Emperor places a hand upon hers which rested on his waist.
Thinking about it... it's been nearly a year since I visited Garqi. I recall the official business was with a handful of our recently retired veterans, who wished to offer advice and counsel one last time before their full retirement began. That was more a jungle though I recall.
Nicademus chuckles lightly as he gazes out at the scenery of the Core District. Faina had told him, times before, of her life here, growing up, prior to joining the Imperial Knights, under the then Grandmaster Gabriel Solomon. It was a wealth of culture, art, and more of the Core that arrayed splendidly for all to enjoy. It was quite lavishing, so, unfortunately, a bit too much for his tastes. However, his officials had insisted on enjoying the hospitality presented and so the Emperor accepted this advice.
A nice trip to the forest would be a good change of pace. I don't think I can handle waving at more people.
Nicademus smiles as he turns to his Empress, leaning over to kiss the top of her head. A pleasant sojourn, a walk beneath the shade of trees, without media following them, and citizens seeking to gaze upon the Imperial couple. He certainly wanted a few days break from that before their official meeting with the Tetan monarchs. The Imperial sighs lightly, allowing his posture to relax some more.
Do you plan to see any of your family while here, Faina?
He inquires, turning to his wife once more. This was her homeworld after all. Nicademus would want Faina to enjoy it as much as she could, which included seeing her family, and, certainly, they would want to see the daughter and relative who became Empress. Family was important to the Emperor, very important.

Faina, remaining at Nicademus' side with her head resting on his shoulder as he places a hand over hers, smiles as he explains that the last tree he saw was in a jungle on Garqi, and after he agrees that the suggestion of visiting the forest while they are here on her homeworld, says, "Well, since I had in mind that we would be making the visit alone, or as alone as we can be, she chuckles, knowing that they will undoubtedly be accompanied by some kind of security detail, and that even the most skilled and unobtrusive security details make the idea of privacy a matter of how well one can forget they are present, before finishing her thought, you will get at least a brief break from all of the waving."
Squeezing Nicademus' hand after he kisses the top of her head, Faina purses her lips in thought after he asks if she has any plans to visit with family while she is on her homeworld; unlike Nicademus' extended family, Faina's is both fewer in number and more difficult to keep in contact with due to the fact most, like her and her parents, serve the First Order, following the family tradition of pursuing careers in the military. Her parents, one of the few couples to have lived to retirement age with their marriage intact, passed away shortly before she and Nicademus were married, and had between them only three siblings; her paternal uncle, a Stormtrooper sergeant who died when Faina was still in university, a maternal aunt who was a TIE pilot that died shortly after Faina became an Imperial Knight, and a maternal uncle who bucked family tradition and became an undercover narcotics officer in Empress Teta's police force. Faina's paternal uncle had only one child, a daughter, before dying, while her maternal uncle lost his only child when she was only three years old. Faina's only aunt never married, dying before she was twenty five.
"Well, Faina says after a moment spent recollecting the information she had gathered when learning they would be visiting her homeworld, Nadenka has just been deployed to Byss with the 709th, her only surviving cousin one of the few members of her family that Nicademus has met, as she had made it to their wedding, and Uncle Stas is on an undercover assignment, as usual, she continues, sure Nicademus will not be surprised given that he has never met Stas because her uncle, after his marriage ended in the wake of the death of his and his former wife's only child, threw himself into his work and, save for the department mandated time between undercover assignments, seldom has any time, or Faina suspects, any inclination to keep in contact with the extended family. Patting Nicademus' cheek with her free hand, Faina smiles as she jokes, We'll just have to find some way to entertain ourselves other than visiting with my family," adding a coquettish wink to suggest that she has ideas about how they might do so. Save for visiting her parent's gravesite at some point, and enjoying the opportunity to visit the forests of her homeworld, Faina had no agenda for their stay save for taking advantage of the rare time alone she and Nicademus have together.

Faina DelvardusFaina was right about one key factor: her family was a very busy one. Even at the wedding, those that managed to get away from duties were few and scattered. Once her family was quite large, from what he understood, but now they had... dwindled from age and duty. The Imperial was aware of those that the Empress spoke of though. Nadenka was a Stormtrooper in the 709th, under the commander of a trusted and capable notable from the Grand Admiral's cadre of officers. Her uncle, Stas, worked well in the local security force on Empress Teta, plenty of undercover work. He'd do well to join the greater duty of Imperial Intelligence, but the Emperor never seemed to have the chance to offer it to him personally. The Nikulins were dedicated to the Imperialist cause and Nicademus could not thank her family, among others, enough for their dedication and service to the First Order.I wish I could have known your family more personally. I was happy to have met Nadenka as well as those who raised you. Your parents were a most loving couple and I could not have been more happy to hear your father give his blessing to our union.Nicademus recalled that her father was rather eager to give it too. Likely due to the extended ties both his daughter and the Emperor had, but also due to the fact that his daughter was to be honored and raised up as Empress. Now, the Nikulin blood would be with that of the Delvardus Imperial Family, just as the Solos were with that of the Fels when Jagged rose to the title of Emperor. We also do find ways to entertain ourselves. Empress Teta has plenty to offer.Nicademus smiles as he gazes at the scenery once more, but finds himself returning to Faina not long after. He remembered when he first came to this world, back during the Deep Core Remnant years, the formative ones of his career. Things were different then... Empress Teta didn't feel alive for some reason. Now, beneath the banner of the renewed Empire, this planet, like many, was vibrant and alive. Perhaps, back then, the Remnant was far more limited in scope and unable to exert much. Not to mention they were the Fel loyalists of the remains of another Empire. We should look at what is planned tomorrow and see what we can find to do in between. In truth, Nicademus didn't want to overdo it. There was a reason why after all. Thanks to some assistance, he managed to keep a façade of strength, but only so. Lately, he had been tired, more so than usual. Hence why he came to Empress Teta, to relax and regain what was taken from exhaustion. Nonetheless, a private physician had urged the Emperor to be calm and do not overexert himself. The Imperial did his best to hide his condition from his beloved wife though.Just hopefully the Royal Family doesn't plan something big that will take up much of the day.Flashing a good smile, the Emperor chuckles lightly. The Imperial then turned to walk over to get a little water, some glasses and a pitcher had been left by the attendants of their entourage. For a moment, Nicademus paused, feeling his head become somewhat light. He shrugged it off and continued to walk over to the pitcher and glass. As he grabbed the pitcher, he found himself... struggling slightly. Lifting with one hand proved too much and using too felt uncomfortable. It was in this scenario that Faina would sense something off.
Just beyond the door, the pair of Praetorians sensed the tension of the Emperor. One utilized the Force to strengthen his liege's muscles and ease a state of tiredness was starting to come across. Within seconds, Nicademus managed to lift the glass jug with one hand and pour himself a glass of water. 'Now I can't even pour myself a cup of water?' thought the mind of the Emperor as he sighed inwardly.

Faina offers Nicademus a smile faintly tinged with sadness when he says that he would have liked to have had the opportunity to spend more time with her family than circumstance afforded him, giving his hand a gentle squeeze as she says, "I wish you had as well, love," softly, and then, not allowing the brief moment of melancholy sour her mood, lets it pass as she listens to what Nicademus goes on to say without any further interruption.
Were she in the habit of maintaining a continual awareness of the Force even during moments such as these when it would seem wholly unnecessary, Faina might have noted the Praetorian's use of the Force to ease the exhaustion she does note in Nicademus as he goes to pour a glass of water, but as she does not, she fails to detect that his apparent quick recovery is due to outside intervention, and so puts the incident down to nothing more important than simply the natural weariness brought on by her husband's often demanding schedule; as one of the reasons they have come to her homeworld is for a reprieve from such things, Faina lets the moment pass without comment.
Shortly after Nicademus pours the glass of water, their lunch arrives, and Faina suggests that they have it outside on the deck. Though she doesn't want to spend their time alone speaking about anything related to their respective duties, Faina finds herself telling Nicademus about her recent trip to Agamar with Remus, Yvaine and Mavera, focusing less on the aspect of maintaining good relations with their Mandalorian allies and more on recounting things about their children's experiences as she knows Nicademus will find the details as interesting and entertaining as she would had their positions been reversed and she had missed the experiences with their children. Faina tells Nicademus about how Remus, often more at ease with adults than others closer to his age, had actually connected with the young Mandalorians from House Bralor, reared so differently than most children in the universe which could explain Remus' ease in connecting with them, that were brought in to train with him and Yvaine, and about the amusing crush he had developed on Fionnuala, the Mandalorian Ver'alor that organized the visit to Agamar; and she tells Nicademus about Yvaine's predictable interest in Dawntree's, Mavera's Rancor mount, hunting patterns, as well as in learning all she could about the flora and fauna of Agamar.
Speaking about their youngest children, who are staying with their 'aunts' Nicolina and Ishild, prompts Faina and Nicademus to holocall them after they have finished their lunch, and Faina smiles as she watches Nicademus speaking with them as they, excitedly in Yvaine's case while Remus is more reserved, recount all that they have been doing on Coruscant since she and Nicademus left. After speaking with Remus and Yvaine, Faina suggests that, in light of the fact there is uncharacteristically nothing on their official agenda for the day, they spend the remainder of the day simply relaxing, something she knows neither of them are particularly good at, and to her surprise Nicademus agrees; they even manage to get through the afternoon and to the early evening before they let their natural inclinations towards activity lead them to make an impromptu, unannounced and therefore fortunately private as their guards forgoe their armor and manage to remain inconspicuous, outing to the city's Alderaan Museum of Fine Arts, after which they dine at Club Corellia before returning to the villa, where they share a bath together before retiring to their bedroom.
Waking before Nicademus in the morning, Faina bathes and dresses and then arranges for breakfast to be brought to the deck. Sipping from her mug of Cassius tea when Nicademus joins her moments before their breakfast is delivered, Faina leans her head back to kiss him as he stops behind her chair and rests his hands on her shoulders, and smiles as he sits down while she tells him, "No word yet from the Royal Family about any plans for today, so we just might have another day to ourselves. Tilting her head to the side and narrowing her eyes slightly as she appraises her husband's appearance and sees that he still seems to bear some subtle signs of exhaustion, Faina, still attributing the fatigue she has noted in Nicademus more often recently to the demands of his position, says wryly, And you, my love, look like you could use at least another day to ourselves before you manage to approach something close to actually relaxing. Is there anything, she offers him a kittenish smile and adopts a flirty tone to accompany it, I can do to help you reach that goal more expediently, dearest husband?"

The day that followed was lighter in terms of the schedule of activities. Which was a welcomed change for Nicademus who felt the fatigue ever present in his mind. The Imperial did his best to be attentive and alert, walking as best he could, and keeping good posture all the way. The rest of said day was pleasant and much needed. A lunch with his beloved Empress, a chat about their children, even a holotransmission with their youngest, who were being watched by their 'aunts'. It was all much needed for the Emperor whose ever demanding role kept him occupied and ever planning. The Empire did not rest after all, it was a machine whose gears turned through the night and day. As others slept, its eyes kept watch. As others worked, the same eyes ensured all did their duty. Its laws and codes ever changing, ever being modified, ever expanding. It was easy for Faina to confuse his role as the cause of his fatigue.
The remainder of that day was a nice tour of the Museum of Fine Arts, where Nicademus gazed upon old works from the time in which Empress Teta was an independent monarchy, during the days of the Old Republic. There was even artifacts from its unification, depicting the evolution of art from that time up until now. The dinner at Club Corellia was a much welcomed meal before everything winded down to a bath, some time alone, and then much needed sleep.
When the morning of the next day came, the Emperor awoke to the smell of food in the next room. The attendants must have brought their breakfast for the morning. Slowly, the Imperial rose, his eyes gazing at his reflection from across the room for a moment. Touching the side of his head, the Imperial felt exhaustion sweep over him before it was eased up by the nearby Praetorian Guard that were situated just outside of their bedroom. This helped him rise and proceed to walk out of the bedroom in a bath robe. Upon seeing Faina, Nicademus smiles at the Empress.
They certainly take their time. Here I had hoped to see more of the Palace, but they must be busy with other governmental obligations.
Nicademus chuckles lightly before sharing a morning kiss with Faina. He came over, situating himself behind her for a time.
Still looking tired huh? Guess it must be the ability to relax really... must...
The Emperor's voice sort of trailed off as he felt a great wave of exhaustion come over him. His hands, upon her shoulders, loosened for a moment before his forearm stiffened in an attempt to subconsciously prevent falling. The Imperial seemed to teeter left and then right in an attempt to steady himself. This time, Faina could feel not one, but both Praetorian Guards just beyond their door doing their best to ease the Emperor's condition and strengthen his person with the usage of the Force. This time, a third was felt being called up by his brothers and, with keeping their oath of silence, telepathically spoke to one another as the third went off to perform a duty. Eventually this wave passed, but it had been more severe than others. One of the few times Nicademus felt he was close to passing out.
His eyes looked forward to see the concern written clearly over Faina's face. The Emperor had done his best to hide what was transpiring from everyone around him. Only Brock Ferrum and the Praetorians knew of it. It was something that was progressively getting worse with each year as the exhaustion grew longer and deeper. Doctors feared that, eventually, Nicademus would be bedridden. Deeply, the Imperial exhales.
Sorry about that...
