A miniature fleet bearing the Iridonian insignia bursts into real-time space.
1 Bothan Assault Cruiser 1 MC140 Scythe-class Battlecruiser 2 Carrack-class light cruisers 2 Lancer-class frigates 4 Action VI Bulk Freighters 16 X-83 Twintails
The fleet maintained stationary position just out of reach of the planet's gravitic pull. The planet seemed rather uninhabited; the icy surface casting a bright glean into the cockpit.
A single Lancer-class frigate accompanied as backup air support to the Twintails who escorted the Bulk Freighters down on to the planet. They descended into the atmosphere.

A single Majestic-class Heavy Cruiser shot out of Hyperspace. General Exia, at the helm, immediately established communications with Death Angel's fleet. Romulus spoke out to them.
Assault Cruiser "Firestorm", this is Darth Romulus of Iridonia's Empire. I'd like to know who is in charge of the occupation of Ziost, and where might I find this individual?

A reply came over from the captain of the ship.
Greetings, Lord Romulus. Inquisitor Tempest is down overseeing construction under Lord Angel's order. Proceed toward the coordinates we're sending you; it's a whiteout down there, so manual location will be quite the challenge.
Several number sequences flash aboard the visual-comms channel on the heavy cruiser. They are the directions to the recently uplinked Sith Citadel, sent in to them literally minutes before Romulus came into orbit.

Cool, thanks. Romulus out.
Romulus turned to Exia.
Go ready 2 squads of clones. They're following me down. And also standby 2 squads of droptroopers, in case things get hot.
Exia saluted Romulus and exited the command bridge. Romulus punched in some more commands into the small computer screen by the side of his chair as he addressed the next ranking officer.
Captain, have the Phoenix line up along Angel's fleet. I'm going down there.
The captain saluted and ran up to a computer, issuing orders to the other staff in the the bridge. The Phoenix Song's bulk moved into position as Romulus and Serina boarded the Grey Unending. They flew into space and hovered around until 2 MAATs joined up, filled with 10 clonetroopers each. Together the 3 ships headed down to the Sith Citadel on Ziost.

Exia received the transmission from the frantic clone trooper, speaking panickly as he gave the order to deploy the droptroopers.
Within a minute, 2 black oddly-shaped MAATs left the hanger of the Phoenix Song and flew towards the planet.

Angel, now fully recovered from his shattered ribcage, manoeuvered his ship as it blinked out of lightspeed. He saw a portion of his own fleet and a portion of Romulus' fleet but sensed something out of place at the Citadel. He patched in to his assault cruiser.
Firestorm, what is happening down there?
A slight static burst and the voice of his cruiser commodore crackled through.
Lord Angel, there's a massive horde of creatures attacking our ground troops; they look like creatures straight from Chaos... like the nightmares I dreamt when I was a child. We are sustaining mild to moderate casualties at the moment.
Sithspawn, he thought.
Affirmative. I'm heading down there. Uplink coordinates to the Sith Citadel by the time I reach the mesosphere.
Angel shifted his ship's adaptive measures to cold climates, anticipating Ziost's unpredictable blizzards, and moved his ship down towards the flashing dots appearing on his holo-radar.

A K-Wing screamed out of the upper atmosphere of icy Ziost and leapt off in lightspeed towards Iridonia.

A K-Wing rippled into Ziost airspace, and maneuvered itself down to the last plotted course on autopilot to the coordinates of the Citadel.

Angel's voice burst through comlink. The surroundings were eerily quiet, like the calm before the storm, or in this case, like the eye of the hurricane.
Firestorm, send the Carracks down to mesospheric height above the citadel. We need orbital airstrikes if we call them.
Right away, Lord Angel.
The two Carrack-class cruisers present broke away from the fleet formation and headed down to their new positions above the citadel's marked location.

The Skydance rose from the portion of the planet with a small wispy blip, where a skirmish had just concluded. Angel radioed his fleet to send in additional personnel to accelerate the repair and refurbishment processes at surface level, before he punched in several coordinates to another icy planet, and shot off into lightspeed.
Just as the Carrack cruisers rendezvoused with the returning bulk freighters from their orbital airstrike position, the second Lancer-class frigate went with additional manpower to back up the groundworks. The freighters were there to restock stores and load the extra manpower.

The Grey Unending landed in the hanger bay of the Pheonix Song, flagship of the Romus fleet.
Romulus and Serina quickly made it to the Command Bridge, linking up with Exia. Exia spoke with Rom for a while, before Romulus got onto his Command Module and made a long-distance call to Arkania. A hologram of Dragomir (another of Romulus' executives) appeared on the monitor and they began to speak. Dragomir told Rom about a Jedi presence on Arkania, while Romulus pondered over what that potentially meant. Few minutes later, comms were cut. Romulus and Serina returned to the Grey Unending and left the Phoenix Song.
Serina typed in some coordinates into the navigating computer, and moments later they shot off into hyperspace, leaving the Majestic-Class Battle Cruiser behind. Exia watched the Grey Unending disappear from the Command Bridge. Grunting, he turned and walked away from the window.

Moments before Romulus launched to lightspeed, Angel radioed him on his comlink

A brief burst of light and a ball shaped fighter lurched forth and moved at speed, it screamed toward the dark grey world before it.
Davos held on to the controls of the TIE/sf, he peered out of the circular viewport, relieving one hand from the controls he scratched his chin. Nicademus had graciously given him the chip that lay inserted into the navigation console, one of the two planets home to the Sith.
Damnation he was a fool boy, the Sith, a fable, a myth, yet hadn't Nicademus conveyed that Davos himself had displayed magic akin to the fabled Sith. And now now, he was here, there was the thought that Nicademus had sent him here just to be out of the way. Perhaps, yet Davos had not sensed a lie from the prestigious Commander.
He pursed his lips, there was only one way to discover the truth, what was that saying, 'no smoke without fire.' If the Sith were real and not a myth and if, if Davos did possess such abilities, well...
Davos pushed forward on the thrusters and the grey orb grew, rushing to swamp the craft, the vessel buffeted as it entered Ziost atmosphere.

2 Star Destroyers exited Hyperspace and entered the orbit of Ziost. Romulus, waiting in the hanger bay of the Nebula-class Dauntless, flew out of the cruiser in his personal starship Grey Unending.
The Grey Unending flew past the other Star Destroyer; the Endurance-class Pluto, and right into the hanger bay of the nearby Phoenix Song.
Once inside, Romulus and Serina made straight for the Command Bridge where Exia waited for them.
Exia, my good man. All is well, i hope?
Yes my Lord, all is very well at the moment.
Exia sank into a low bow. Smirking to himself, Romulus walked over to the massive glass windows and gazed out onto the planet beneath him.
Let's hope that remains this way.

Ziost. Referred to as the "Gateway to the Empire" in the days of the Old Republic. As some point it was made up of ancient forests and barren tundra. However now, it resembled the graveyard world of Korriban in many aspects. Now, however, most of the planet was covered in ice. But that wasn't why Ziost was being sought out today. No. It was because this world was a focal point of the dark side. This is what drew Lucius Corvinus out of hiding after all these years. The Force was always in motion, but the dark side seemed to be more active as of late. And to seek answers, power and to carve a name for himself. Violently if need be.
The Victory II-Class Star Destroyer, Necrosis, exited hyperspace above the ancient Sith world. Disengaging its hyperdrive and moving forward on sublights, the Destroyer slowly crept towards the planet.
The ship and its crew had been traveling for a few months now, in search of a great many things. At the moment, they needed to resupply. Fuel and rations. And the crew could use a bit of shore leave, such as it was with a place like Ziost.
The armored and robed figure of Darth Akrak stood on the bridge. The shallow, raspy breathing could be heard, emanating from the armored Sith. After a few more minutes of looking out the central viewport, he spoke. His voice was gruff, baritone and mechanical. Void of nearly all traces of emotion.
"Commander, hail the planet. Announce our presence and inform whoever answers that we need fuel. Perhaps this place will be more cooperative then the last."
The ship's commander, a late aged human male sporting gray hair and a week's worth of stubble, nodded in acknowledgement.
"Comms, open a secure channel planet side and hail the nearest supply depot. Engines, cut thrust by .5."
As the orders were carried out, the ensign at the communications console opened a secure channel to the planet, hailing on all typically used frequencies.
Attention Ziost, this is the Necrosis. We are in search of a port capable of refueling and resupplying us. Please respond using encryption key Charlie-Foxtrot-Seven Zero Niner. Standing by, awaiting response.
There is way. The comm channels were open and a hail had been sent. Now, either the inhabitants of the planet, if there happened to be any, would either aid them, or suffer the consequences of denying them. Akrak hoped they would be as defiant at the last world had been. He enjoyed breaking them. Only time would tell if this planet was in a charitable mood or not.

The archeological outpost was rather surprised. Not many came out this way & the planet wasn't really capable of restocking a ship that size. The Imperial Core Ship could, but it would take a while to build up to that level of production.
-Comm Officer Necrosis, This is Infinite Imperium CS-3829 "Breath of History". Be aware, the planet lacks port facilities of any size. Let alone one capable of handling a ship your size. We aren't actually connected to the planetary government, but we are pretty much the only ones that might be able to help you out. If required we can sell you fuel & supplies. But depending on your requirements it may take us some time to gather them. If you are low enough on fuel, there is a dell a few kilometers south of our position that will be able to serve as a landing space. Coordinates follow.

Aboard the Necrosis, Lucius Corvinus, know the the galaxy as Darth Akrak, stood on the bridge. He had heard the reply from the Infinite Imperium's ship on the surface. Without breaking his gaze upon the world through the central viewport, he spoke.
"The sway of the dark side is strong here. Much stronger than anticipated...Commander, inform them that we will accept their help and take the ship down. I need to be on the surface."
Crossing his arms, he continued to gaze out at the planet, enthralled by the pull of the darkness. Commander Maxwell nodded.
"Of course, mi lord. Ensign, send the reply. Engines, all forward. Take us down. All stations prepare for atmospheric re-entry. Secure and make ready."
Several 'aye sirs' rang out from their respective stations and the Ensign at the comms console sent a reply to the Imperium's forces below.
Understood, Breath of History. We have received the coordinates. Proceeding to the surface. Necrosis Out.
The Vic II angled towards the planet and began its decent to the surface. Akrak knew there was something that drew him here. And he intended to find out exactly what it was. And no one was going to stand in his way.

Romulus sat up from the commander's seat on the bridge of the Phoenix Song.
Exia, we're done here. We're leaving.
A few minutes later the 3 star destroyers shot off into hyperspace, leaving Ziost behind.
