*Iella shook her head.*"Oh, I'm good for now. Just getting acquainted with the base and all that."*So they hadn't decided on what they wanted to do. Iella was in pretty much the same boat, though her definition of "play" involved lightsabers and sparring droids when possible. Except she had sparred with Jake already so that wasn't an option.
Speaking of Jake, the more Iella looked at Morgan, the more she thought that the little girl very closely resembled him. It was almost like they were twins or something.
She was about to ask Morgan if she was indeed Jake's sister when a teenage girl quickly walked back with barely a 'hi there' to greet them. Iella's brow furrowed as the girl walked away from them. She seemed like she was upset, though Iella obviously had no clue about what. *"Huh...wonder what that's all about..."

*Acquainting herself with the base? Morgan could help with that! She knew the base inside-and-out, after all. Mostly outside. Morgan was gonna offer to show her around—and hey, maybe it would help Mina get better acquainted with her new home as well—when someone else passed by with a quick, if not insincere, greeting.
It was Kent, the girl from earlier. The girl that had fallen out of the ship she came in on, surprising Morgan and Mina both. In fact, Mina had instinctively pressed herself closer to her sister, reminded of that event, but quickly relaxed. Iella seemed to take notice of the hurried demeanor and wondered what that was about, but it was Morgan who called out,* "Kent!" *It was instinctive, but she had sensed the distress within the girl, and it was in her nature to try to solve people's problems.*

Kent turns out of reflex, exposing her tear soaked clothing, and blotchy face. She quickly turns to try ans get away, but she runs into a dead end of bushes. She is stuck with no place to go. She is out of options with the girls and Iella looking at her back.Hi there Morgan She says shyly. there was no point in trying to run from the situation anymore.

*The brief glimpse of her face justified her poor attempts at escape a mere moment later, resulting in her only meeting a faceful of bush and nowhere to go. She kept her back turned, and Morgan exchanged a concerned look at Iella.* "Are you alright?" *she asked, looking towards Kent again.*

*Iella could probably answer that one easily, as the teenager didn't look all right at all. As for what was troubling her, that could be anything. With any luck, either herself or Morgan would be able to help, even if just a little.*

How do you explain to a little girl you barely know, and a woman you don't know. That a old and angry Zabrak master had just forced you into a mental breakdown in the middle of a peaceful garden. She tried hard to think of what to say, but nothing seemed to fit. Instead she was going to try something new, just speaking whatever came up I have been struggling sense I got here, well even the flight here. Being... safe, lets me think of things I haven't had the luxury to worry about before. Now I do, and they are big things I have repressed for nearly 10 years. The smallest things can set it off, any hint of being unwanted or unneeded or unnoticed seems to be able to set it off now. And I am not sure how to deal with it. I feel like I don't belong, others here *she gestures toward the Zabrak she had just gotten away from* have made it clear that they don't think I belong here either. She says all of this to the girl and the woman she didn't know before her. She just had to get it all out.

*Morgan listened intently, trying to make sense of what she could. Something about struggling even on the journey here, making Kent think about "repressed" things that could be set off without warning. Morgan's gaze trailed off as she thought about her own flashbacks... Not that Kent was the only other person Morgan knew that had them, but all the same she almost felt some sort of "kinship" with those who did; helped that one of those people was her kin. She didn't necessarily know how to help with that, but she could at least empathize.
Morgan glanced in the direction of the indicated party, even from this distance recognizing him as one of the Order's most... stern Masters, to put it lightly. Not one of Morgan's favorites; her free-spiritedness was often at odds with his own personality.
And Morgan wasn't much a fan of being shut down.
Ignoring him, she looked back to Kent as she finished her statement with the sentiment that she didn't belong. Morgan shook her head, frowning, replying,* "Well it's not true!" *Glancing back in the distant Zabrak's direction, she grinned and leaned closer to Kent, adding in a low voice,* "Between you and me, I wouldn't trust what that guy says anyway." *Giggling, she straightened, voice returning to normal volume.* "Anyone can belong here!" *Looking up at Iella, she added,* "Right, Iella?"

*Iella glanced in the direction that Kent was pointing, seeing the Zabrak in the distance. She hadn't met that particular Master, but she was aware of his...stern reputation. So maybe it wasn't surprising to see the girl so upset if that was the one she had been talking to.
She nodded when Morgan assured the girl that anyone could belong here.*"Of course."*She smiled.*"I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be here."

I am undisciplined, I have been on my own for a long time, never really had friends. Maybe that is who I am? I am... well have been to breakdowns and loosing it. That is not something you need here. She had convinced herself that she didn't belong in a place like this, with people that cared. She didn't think she was worth it. Deep down she wished she was back in the refugee sector.

*Iella's agreement made Morgan more confident, but Kent's response sounded like defeat, like she'd accepted whatever lies she'd been told. Morgan frowned, but she wasn't about to give up just yet. Shaking her head again, she said,* "That's not true! Everyone gets those sometimes! Even me..." *The faintest flare lit up in her scars, and she immediately reacted by clutching at her chest. Fortunately, it wasn't an attack; perhaps she should try not to focus on the subject. Instead, she looked up at Iella hopefully, believing she might have something to add.*

*Iella could vouch for the fact that everyone lost their cool at some point, even Jedi. Even older, more experienced Knights too...she felt a pang when recalling the events of her last mission, but quickly brushed it aside. Now wasn't the time.
She shook her head.*"So you have issues. Well guess what? We all do."*Taking a step forwards, she continued.*"I can't pretend to know what you've been through, but you're not alone now. No Jedi walks their path in solitude."*She stepped closer to Kent and offered her hand.*"So...you wanna be a Jedi, kid?"

I guess... It all happened so fast. I felt like I was supposed to come here with Na'an here. Something in my stomach that pulled me here, I guess. I haven't given it much thought really.
She thought back to all that she had read of the Jedi, all she saw by both the Jedi and the Sith on Nar Shadda. At first she thought that could never be her, then she thought of the building she had destroyed. Maybe, just maybe she could do this.

*Iella's continued support once more empowered Morgan, who nodded enthusiastically in response to her words. Kent responded by saying she felt a pull to come here with Na'an, something she hadn't really thought about. That was it!* "You do belong here!" *she exclaimed.* "That's the Force! It called you here! You're meant to be here! Never mind what old hornyhead says!" *She'd probably be given a very stern talking to if Master Iorek knew she was talking about him this way, but... well, she hardly cared.
Mina watched the group intently, feeling out-of-place; she just came to play with Morgan, not get involved in other people's problems, especially ones she didn't fully understand. The only thing she took away from this was that the people here were willing to accept others with open arms, even those with problems. While Mina herself had certainly witnessed this firsthand, seeing it in action with others further helped reinforce the idea that anyone could belong here. She contemplated speaking up herself, giving a few words of encouragement, but she decided to remain silent as she often did.*

*Old hornyhead? Iella wasn't much for badmouthing Jedi Masters, even stern ones, but that made her giggle. She was certain that if said Master was within earshot, there'd be hell to pay...but he wasn't, so she wasn't going to say anything about it at this time.
Childish quips aside, there was still the task at hand. It was natural for Kent to feel a little overwhelmed at everything that was happening. But Morgan was correct in her assessment that it was the Force that had led her here. Often the Force manifested as a "gut feeling" for many untrained users. It was just a matter of becoming attuned to it.
She nodded in agreement with Morgan.*"That's right. The Force brought you here for a reason."

That notion made her uneasy. Kent was used to facts, things she could read and see. Things she could think through and plan for. The Force pulling her was not one of those things. Well to be honest you three are the first people I have really met here that seem to have cared. Thank you.

*Three people caring about you was certainly better than no one at all, and Iella was glad to help out. Adjusting to a new place could be difficult, and it helped to have people there to make you feel welcome. A pity that "Old Hornyhead" had to be Kent's welcoming committee.*"I'm happy to help."*She could feel that the Force was definitely with this girl, but it was likely just untapped potential at this point. Time would tell if Kent would reach that potential...
First things first though.*"Is there anything you need right now? I'm not doing much of anything at present so I'd be happy to help."*Figuring Morgan and Mina were game, she added*"Morgan and Mina too."*She glanced at the girls.*"Right?"

*Kent's comment about "you three" being the first to seem to care about her made Morgan frown before looking around. Oh right, Mina was here... but also watching silently. She seemed more of an observing party than actively involved... not that Morgan was going to correct that! It might just make Kent feel bad! So Morgan only nodded, even though Mina looked confused; for one, Morgan was grateful that the girl didn't talk much, or else she probably would have made the correction.
When Iella asked the two girls if they were available to help with anything Kent might need, Morgan looked to Mina again, silently questioning her. The girl hadn't come here with the intention of helping others, nor was she exactly skilled at it, so if she wanted to do something else, Morgan definitely wouldn't make her do it. But at length, Mina shrugged, so Morgan grinned up at Iella and nodded.* "Right!" *Wait, that wasn't the person she should have been saying that to... Morgan corrected her gaze to point toward Kent instead. Minor mistake. No big deal.*

First things first though.*"Is there anything you need right now? I'm not doing much of anything at present so I'd be happy to help." Read more: boards.jedivsith.com/thread/825/gardens#ixzz45OOhzbwIWhat she needed? Kent had been forced to take care of all her own needs since the age of 5. No one had ever been interested in helping her in anything. What is it she really needed? I have never really had anyone ask me that question before. I mean, no one has ever really offered me help, not without wanting something in return. I guess I don't really need anything. I have food, dress, and I have a place to sleep. To her the only "needs" she could conceptualize were the most basic ones. In her past everything else was a luxury. Years of this have overcome her more than capable mind. She was unable to see her change in situation made the other needs notable now.

*Iella's brow furrowed when Kent said she didn't really need anything. It seemed the girl had never gotten a genuine offer to help before. She was never sure how exactly help someone who hadn't been helped before.
She might not be able to force anything, but at least she could put the offer on the table.*"Fair enough, I guess. Just to let you know, though, all my offers to help you have no strings attached."

*Outwardly Kent seemed to need nothing else at the moment, and Iella seemed to go along with it while leaving the offer on the table. But Morgan saw deeper; the claim that Kent had never been asked if she needed anything before, along with the short list of things she considered "needs," was what opened the window for Morgan to realize that the girl had very little understanding of needs. There were far more than those three, one of which Morgan didn't consider a "need" anyway!*
"But there's more than that!" *she declared, seemingly ignoring Iella's agreement.* "You've gotta have friends, family, people who can listen to you and care for you and help you grow as a person! There's nothing more important than that! Well, I guess food and water is important... but they're important in different ways!
"So if you need a friend," *she concluded with a sweet smile,* "we'll be here."
