Well i have made it this far without those... She had made it this far. The nice thing about remembering everything is you have to have experienced something. She had never known those things, and didn't know what she was missing. And friends are just people that hang around until they get what they want, or stop getting what they want.

* Maybe it was just because she wasn't in a good place at the moment, what with the disaster of her last mission or maybe it was because she had used up most of her good will and patience for her brief spar with Jake. Whatever the reason, Iella was starting to lose her patience with Kent. She obviously didn't want their help, nor their friendship. Still, for Morgan's sake, she held her temper and took a steadying breath. Now wasn't the time to lose one's cool...
She crossed her arms and gazed at Kent, her expression hardening despite her efforts to remain calm. But being nice wasn't working so maybe it was time to try something else.*"Look, I can't force you to trust me or anyone else here. And I'm not going to force you learn the ways of the Jedi if you truly don't want to. If you don't think you're up for it, then leave. I won't blame you."*She stepped closer to Kent, keeping her gaze fixed on the girl.*"But I feel the Force in you, and I'm sure you've felt it too."*She leaned in closer to the girl, lowering her voice a little.*"You're meant for something better than some runaway teenager living on scraps. And I, or someone else here can help you. But only if you let us."
*Iella straightened and stepped back from Kent.*"That's my offer, Kent. Take it or leave it. Your choice."

*Morgan stared at Kent, dumbfounded by her response. Sure, she'd "made it this far," but it clearly hadn't been fun or easy, or enjoyable in the slightest! And those people she described... those weren't friends at all! Kent had it all wrong! Morgan scowled, taking a step forward as she prepared to set her straight—
She instantly retreated as Iella spoke first in a firm tone, clearly fed up with the teenager's attitude so far. What shocked Morgan the most was the suggestion that Kent leave if she didn't feel up for trusting anyone, which Morgan wanted to protest, but Iella continued, and Morgan began to see her point: That Kent was seemingly too stubborn to accept help, and the only way someone could give their help was if Kent would even let them.
Morgan agreed... though she also wished it hadn't had to have been put so harshly. Unfortunately, it seemed it was the only way some people could learn. She remained silent, along with a confused Mina; any thoughts of setting the record straight about friendship were put aside for now.*

Kent was taken aback and was about to get very defensive. Ask for the first ship off planet, but she stopped her self. Iella's tone was different than most people who got angry with her. It wasn't frustration at what the person lost, but what Kent was losing. She actually cared. Wait, you actually care? You aren't after something from me, you actually want to see me improve myself? She meant it genuinely, this was new to her and she was in a small shock that it was actually happening.

*Well now they were getting somewhere. Sometimes all it took was a little tough love to get someone to finally open up. That didn't mean that helping Kent would suddenly be easy, but this was a start at least.
Iella's expression softened and she nodded.*"That's right, Kent. I want to help you be something better than you are now."*She extended her hand.*"So, will you give me a chance?"

*And now Morgan felt dumbfounded again at Kent's sudden realization. After all this discussion so far, and their offers to help or be friends or even just listen, and she was just now figuring that out?!* "That's what we were trying to tell you!" *Morgan exclaimed, her tone a mixture of disbelief and encouragement. She remained silent afterward, feeling a little embarrassed at the outburst, but she meant it, and she didn't see how Kent didn't get it until just now...*

Thank you... I am not used to this kind of treatment. I would love help... Her face was filled with joy, she cheeks bright red now. She was excited for the first time in a long time. Then just as quickly a new worry filled her. Most of her life had been teaching herself, what if she wasn't a good student...

*And there it was, finally. Kent was finally willing to accept their help. That had certainly taken some effort, but that would be totally worth it of Kent could realize her potential.
Iella smiled broadly.*"And Morgan and I are certainly very glad to help you!" *It probably wouldn't be official until Iella informed one of the Masters about it, but it might be best, at least for now, if she took primary responsibility for training Kent. The teenager might not trust anyone else at this point, certainly not a certain Zabrak Master in any case. And although Morgan was certainly no teacher, her presence might help as well.*"So have you ever been trained in the Force before coming here, Kent?" *The answer to that was probably no, but if it wasn't, it would help to know if Kent had had any previous training, even if it was minimal. In any case, it would tell Iella where to begin her training.*

Na'an was was the one that told me I could do things, things i had thought were just luck or coincidence. She told me that I had control over them. That was about it. I have made big things happen... She thought back to pulling down the facade of the building. But for the most part, it only happens when i am very scared or need something to happen desperately. I did get a spoon to wiggle in the dinning hall! She said that last part with great inthusasim, before quickly hiding it. Figuring that it wasn't really anything tho be proud of.

*To be able to use the Force in desperate times was often the surest sign of Force sensitivity. As for being able to wiggle a spoon, while that was far less impressive than whatever feats Kent had previously managed, was still noteworthy. Most people, even if they knew they were Force Sensitive, would still have trouble with that. Regardless, it gave Iella a pretty good idea of where to start.
She smiled.*"I think I've got a good idea for your first lesson then. It's not uncommon for those strong with the Force to be able to use it in desperate times. Right now, though, you've only a faint sense of it. The first thing most Initiates learn is how to feel the Force. You must be aware of it in order to be able to use it at will."*She crossed her arms as she continued.*"So, Kent, are you ready to begin? We don't necessarily have to start right away, but if you feel up to it, I'd like to show you the Force."

I have been wandering these grounds since I got here, without direction or purpose. I am ready to actually accomplish something. It sounded spur and off the cuff but it was true. She was prepared for the hard and difficult road ahead of her, and was ready for it to begin.

*All right then. If Kent was ready, then Iella was going to try her best to teach her a basic lesson. Now how best to teach it to her...
She motioned for Kent to follow her.*"This way." *Turning around, she led Kent to a more secluded spot in the gardens. Confident that there wouldn't be any distractions here, she motioned for Kent to take a seat on the ground.*"I think this is a good spot. Go ahead and get comfortable and we'll get started.
*Iella waited until Kent had situated herself before continuing.*"Close your eyes and empty your mind..." *Another pause, then she continued.*"The Force is within you...as it is within all life. Quiet your mind and you will hear it speaking to you."*Reaching into her pocket, Iella pulled out a blank datapad and set it down on the ground in front of Kent.*"Stretch out with your senses, your feelings. Feel the Force around you."

*Morgan quietly watched, her only sound being a giggle when Kent seemed a little too enthusiastic at her success of moving a spoon with her mind. Well, Morgan supposed people had to start somewhere; she certainly definitely started small. Rocks, maybe? She didn't remember.
Iella seemed to be considering a first lesson for Kent, right here in the gardens even. Morgan almost wanted to observe... but would Mina? Poor, quiet, ignored Mina, standing there patiently waiting for something interesting to happen. She'd come here to spend time with her sister; Morgan didn't think she wanted to sit and watch someone else's lesson when she could be doing other things. Morgan looked between her and the departing duo for a moment, then announced,* "Well, we'll see you later! Mina and I are going to go play! Bye! And may the Force be with you!"
*She waved after them, then turned to lead Mina in another direction.* "This way, Mina!" *She then led her younger sister to a more open part of the gardens, nearby a fountain, where there was plenty of room to... do whatever they want. Morgan hadn't exactly figured that part out yet... But in due time!*

Kent sat down in the garden and mirrored Iella's posture. She listened and tried to do what she was told. But try as she might, she couldn't empty her mind. She had trained herself to be ever aware of everything that was going on around her. She could hear the voices from others, and in her mind instinctively made calculations of how far they were way. She tried to shake those thoughts out. She then heard the soft breeze through the plants, she estimated its speed without even trying to. The smells of the flowers filling her head with memories of smells she had experienced before. She kept her cool trying time and time again for over five minutes to empty her heard, but every time something else would fill it. Frustration had replaced determination on the girls face. She didnt say a word of complaining, she had done enough of that today, but still her anger at herself was evident.

*Iella frowned a little, sensing Kent's frustration at her lack of success. Maybe she was going about this the wrong way. Sure the lesson she had proposed was the conventional way to start one's training, but it was now occuring to Iella that maybe conventional training might not be the best way to proceed at this point. But how to proceed from here?
From what little Kent had spoken of her past, Iella could deduce that it was filled with lots of time spent on the run. The teenager had mentioned using the Force in times of desperation, but...wait a minute. That gave her an idea. Not knowing what lay in Kent's past made what she was going to ask a bit risky, but if it worked, then Kent might find it much easier to find a connection to the Force...*
"Let's try something else, Kent. You've told me about how you've managed to tap into the Force in times of great need. I want you to try and remember one of those times. Think back to when you well and truly needed something to happen. Focus on the very moment that you were able to tap into the Force. Try to see if you can remember what it felt like."

She thought back to those moments. The trash shoot, the building. What did they have in common... It didn't take long for her to realize that she had been terrified and thought that she was about to be killed or captured. I was terrified when I used it before. I would be dead if something didn't happen, all i could think about was fear of being killed, that is the only thing that could go through my head at those times.

*There was a pause as Iella pondered where to go from here. Simple meditation wasn't going to get them anywhere, so maybe there was something else...*"I see. Well in that case, I'd like to try something else. I think I've been going the wrong way about this to be honest with you." *She smiled and motioned for Kent to stand up.*"If you're feeling up to it, I have an exercise I want you to try. We'll have to hit the training room for it, though."

It's not like I have anything else to do, sure. It was a smart mouthed remark, but the youth didn't really mean it that way. She was just joking trying to lighten the mood and distract from her own failure before. With her brain she was not used to not being able to accomplish things. Lead the way, I haven't been there before. Kent follows the woman out of the gardens and into the complex. Toward the training room

*Ashrea Carnea was a young woman, dirty blonde hair, 5'5, brown eyes. She was small in stature, and her aura was not as bright as most Jedi, her past had dulled it, but she still held the same compassion for the ideals that jedi show. She had kept mostly to herself as per usual, quiet, collected, and alone. The gardens being her favourite place to clear her mind, in ways that just sitting in meditation couldn't. She walks along, her fingers gracefully and gingerly sliding along the foliage of different plants. As the young jedi wandered the garden she started to hum a tune, the sounds soothing and carried through the chilled evening air.*

Some folks would have argued that it wasn't possible for an artificial intelligence to have a "happy place", especially not a physical one. Those folks clearly didn't know Lana, as the moment she walked into the gardens, her mood seemed to lift somewhat. She had been given a lot to think about in the past couple of minutes: her sister, her creator, neither had turned out to be who they had seemed. Her steps took her on a path to the fountain as her thoughts raced..
