Giselle Much preferred the calm of the Gardens, to the hustle and bustle of the Hangar Bay. Out here, nature was at peace, whereas inside, there was constant chaos. Force signatures moving about, and at times, clouding her sight. She calmed her pace as they arrived out into the Gardens, Amy presumably following close alongside her Since you are to rejoin the Jedi, it would be prudent to find out just where it was, that your training left off...

She had no idea how she knew where to go. The place was utterly foreign to her, and even as she felt herself being...guided somehow, she wondered if this was the potential they talked about. She had heard about Jedi...and about Sith. But mostly what the people of Nar Shaddaa knew. Or told her. The Jedi eat children, and the Sith punish them, then feed them to the Jedi. It seemed scary and worked to make her wary of people in a certain attire described to her. But as she grew older, she began to wonder about the verity of the stories. She had a broken lightsaber hilt in her possession, something she held tightly to even as a toddler, when she found it amongst the scraps and junk on Raxus Prime. And someone told her it was the tool of Jedi.
If they ate children, was a lightsaber used to cook them?
She was in a base supposedly full of Jedi. A part of her childhood fears remained, but she was more interested in making enough to survive on, and if the Jedi paid, she'd...do her best to ignore any eating of children she might witness. There were youngsters around that she could see, but they looked like mini Jedi. Maybe they only eat non-Jedi children? But what about this? How was she able to know where her new friend was? It was a...feeling. Something deep down in her gut. She just knew where to go, even if she didn't recognize anything. There were a lot of mushrooms and strange plants here. Everything seemed big. And she was certain she saw a massive creature earlier as they passed over the forest. A massive, unfriendly looking creature. How did they keep that thing out of the base?
She soon saw the blind woman, and her friend. "Amy," said Red, and she held out the bag to her. She visibly shied away from the blind woman, walking in a half-circle to get to the Nautolan without falling in reach of the allegedly blind woman.
How old was the age limit before she'd be considered not a child to be eaten? Perhaps being as small sized as she was made her look younger. That could be problematic.

Amlu shifted her feet a little before answering after years of being gone she still found it hard to fathom she was back among the Jedi. "I finished the Trials two years before the war broke out, when I went missing I was the rank of Knight." She said quietly with a small proud smile remembering the day she had passed and how Gene had praised her.
"If it would be prudent for me to prove m-." Amlu turned and smiled when she heard her name. "Red! Thank you!" Amlu said bowing graciously. and taking her bag. "Oh master? This Red and she has potential." Amlu said with a big grin. "I was going to mention her after we discussed my future with the order but since she was kind enough to bring my back I figured I'd mention it now. We met on the ship." Amlu said stepping closer to Red to present her to the Jedi master before them.

What did she say??? It took a while to process, and it was already too late, since she was now in the grasp of her "friend", a predator, just like the blind woman. Was she being nice to soften her up? So that when she struck, the short girl wouldn't see it coming? The panic began to set in, showing a little in the slight widening of her eyes. Why was she bowing? What was in the bag? The heads of children? She was being presented to the master Jedi, probably the head cook. Potential...potential dinner? That had to be it. She smiled...or grimaced, brushing strands of hair back, and studying the gardens, seeking an escape path with her eyes.
Oh poodoo, poodoo, poodoo! she thought in quiet panic, she's a child-eater too!
"Hello." was all she managed to choke out before her throat became too dry to speak or scream.

Giselle turned her head slightly as she sensed the approach of Red. Years of being among "regular" people had taught her to do such things as a matter of habit. The Force allowed her to see everything, without having to physically look in any direction. But it was easier to talk to someone when you faced them, and did not quite unnerve them as much. But even as she watched the fast approaching young woman, she kept her attention on Amlu's response.
So Amy was a Jedi Knight. Or at least, that was the rank that had been bestowed upon her before the war. It was not something she was going to challenge. But as Amy was about to suggest, testing her skill would prove useful. Not only would it allow them to see just how far along she was, it would also help them figure out just where she would fit in. It was then, that Red managed to catch up with them.
She looked at the young girl. Noting the caution in Red's movements as she circled around to where Amlu stood. It was quite the parallel to see the two. Amlu was excited and energised, while Red was quiet and reserved. Amlu was already introducing Red, mentioning she had been picked for her potential Force Sensitivity. Although it was only just beginning to show itself, Giselle was able to perceive what existed there. With training, she could certainly become stronger with the Force.
But first, they would have to get around Red's guard. She could sense the panic that was bubbling upon the surface of Red's thoughts. Child-eater. That was certainly a new one. She had heard whispers of stranger tales about the Jedi across the galaxy. She smiled at Red, hoping it might help reassure her Hello to you as well. I am Master Giselle... You're safe here my dear. Relax... She reached out with the Force then, wrapping the area around Red with a calming aura. It would do them no good to have Red panicking No one is going to hurt you. I give you my word... Amy, perhaps you should help her to a seat... Giselle pointed towards a bench a couple feet away. Hopefully it would help to further calm Red down and allow some further conversation happen Feeling better? Tell me a little bit about yourself, where did you come from?

She stiffened when she saw the way Giselle turned her head, like she could actually see. She probably could, Red realized in pessimistic resignation. These Jedi and their magical mumbo-jumbo probably held grains of truth, besides the child-eating. Though nothing was visible to her naked eye, Red had the distinct impression she was being sized up by the blindfolded woman. It was an impression more than anything physically felt. An awareness, or a knowing, and the closest it came to a physical sensation for her was the prickling of her skin, and the urge to shiver, but she kept her stance steadfast and sure.
After that came something else, like a warm blanket over her in a cold night. A loving hand over her when she was frightened by the night and the horrors hidden just out of sight, at the edges of her peripherals. Soothing, comforting. As her eyes fluttered and she re-established the cool calmness that earned her the name of Serenity, she trusted in the words spoken by the woman, and as she allowed herself to be guided towards a bench, she found herself looking at Master Giselle with something other than fear or suspicion.
Hope.
"Yes," said Red, to the question of whether she felt better. It had to have been something the woman did, but she decided not to fight it, "My full name is Serenity Sage, or just Red. I came from Raxus Prime, then Nar Shaddaa. I lived there a few years. Then I travelled to other planets, trying to reach the Core Worlds."
It was the most she had ever said in one go. Perhaps an effect of the Jedi. She seldom said much or felt the need to say much.

Amlu smiled warmly as Red's discomfort seemed to ease. "Yeah relax! Most of the stories you heard are probably just that! I know once when I was on a mission with my master I think on Tattooine we were investigating a weird lab, anyway this kid saw us and screamed child eaters and ran away screaming, not sure what to make of that but I personally think children would taste foul, and I mean I've been apart of the order since I could walk." Amy said confidently, remembering how she was discovered at very young age to come into the Jedi order. She really didn't know any other life, her life on Glee Ansalam, was a very distant memory and she had only been back twice since being selected as a Padawan learner, and never as a knight. She smiled at Red. "Raxus Prime and Nar Shaddaa are hard places to be from, so I've been told." She said leading Red to the bench and settling her in. "I think you'll like it here loads better." She said cheerfully.

Giselle gave Red a more relaxed smile now. Glad that her effort to calm the girl down had worked. It was not an easy thing, to be thrown in the deep end like this. Especially after growing up on stories about child-eating Jedi. But at least Red had managed to befriend Amlu. If nothing else, that would help make her transition her a little easier.
She took a knee before Red then, reaching her hand out to rest on the girls shoulder. She tipped her head forward a little. That was much better. She could feel Red returning to her namesake state. She removed her hand then, studying the girl. Raxus Prime and Nar Shaddaa were not exactly the greatest of places for a child to grow up on. But the Order certainly seemed to be getting a few more trainee's from the Smuggler's Moon. Perhaps it was something the Jedi should investigate. After all, if there were more there, then it would behove the Jedi Order, and the Galactic Alliance, to keep it out of the hands of the First Order and their array of Darksiders You've definitely not had an easy life. And you're all the stronger for it, enough that you should not be afraid of such things... People have a habit of making up stories to explain what they cannot understand. It is our duty, to sort through the myths and reveal the facts for ourselves... Giselle looked across the gardens then. Sensing the presence of Master's Rawkill and Jajamal further along the path that had been walking along. Good, she thought, he was on Felucia at a good time. She returned her attention to Red and Amlu Amy is quite right. You will find this place to be much better. Especially since you are both friends already. Assuming of course you decide you want to stay...

She was calm now. At peace in the presence of the Jedi. Logic told her that if they intended harm, they could have done so earlier. With their numbers and position, she was at a tactical disadvantage, and a ruse to lure her in when she was so deep in their territory already made no sense. So while she was no longer afraid or panicking, she was still alert, sharp, but more by nature than a fear for her own life. She observed the way Giselle placed her hand on her and seemed to be reading her some more, wordlessly. At the woman's verbal observation, she lightly shrugged, "I suppose so." said Red, and then looked up, "I wish to stay."
She had no where else to go in any case.

Amlu smiled and leaned back, she felt at ease for the first time since she had gone off to fight in the war. She missed her friends but she was among family now even if she didn't truly know anyone anymore, she decided to ask a question of Giselle. "Has Master Kenobi been here lately?" She asked pointedly and expectantly, she didn't expect a yes but she had to ask it had been years since she had last seen her master and she missed his counsel, he was the father she truly cared for versus her father at home. She hoped to reunite with him soon, but if it couldn't be so she would wait as the force flowed.
"You're staying! Yes! That's so great!" She said excitedly smiling a big Nautolan smile at Red. "I promise you will love it here. it's like a giant family, we take care of each other." Amlu finished proudly.

Giselle was also pleased to hear that Red had decided to stay. Here, she could get back on her feet and create a new life for herself. A better life. Though, even if she had elected to leave, Giselle would have made sure Red had enough resources to make her way into the core comfortably. She gave an approving nod then I'm glad to hear that... She shifted her focus to Amlu, as the Nautolan woman asked if Gene had been seen lately. Her smile fading a little I'm afraid it has been quite some time since last I saw him... It must have been... A year or so ago, if not longer... Last that I heard, he had been going to Vandelhelm... Perhaps it had been a simple case of the pair missing one another. And Giselle hoped that was all it was. Because the alternatives were not particularly comforting. She shook her head a little, clearing such thoughts from her mind At any rate. You both need to be tested, and trained. And there is only one Master I can think of, that would be well suited for the task right now... Giselle had timed things perfectly. Or at least been paying enough attention to Rawkill's movements, that as she started speaking, the Ewok Jedi Master had finished talking with Master Jajamal. By the time she paused, he came strolling along the path. clad in his custom made Jedi Robes and tribal cloak. Strapped across his back were his pair of crossguard lightsabers, with his shoto sabers clipped to his belt. He came to a stop just next go Giselle Jedi Master Rawkill. Head of the Council of First Knowledge, and member of the Jedi High Council... Rawkill eyed Giselle for a moment, wondering just what exactly the woman was volunteering him for now. Judging by the two females seated on the bench, it was likely it was some training. Giselle motioned towards the two women then Allow me to introduce Serenity Sage and Amlu Eerkerk. Though they both go by Red and Amy respectively... Rawkill gave a short bow to the two women in greeting It's a pleasure to meet you both...

Red leaned ever so slightly to one side, away from Amy, but she turned her head to her friend and gave a weak smile. The young alien girl wasn't normally prone to outbursts of excitement or emotion like that. She often internalized everything. Which was why it was a bit of a surprise to her when Giselle had seemingly read her mind. But Amy externalized, from what she could tell, and while she didn't wish to curb her friend's excitement, she had no idea how to deal with it when the emotions was aimed at her. Still the allure of a family that helped each other sounded like a dream come true. She'd lived most of her life looking out for herself, it was almost a foreign concept to her to have a family. But she welcomed it, very much.
She could venture a guess from Giselle's expression that she too was pleased by her choice, and after she had answered Amy's question about a certain Master Kenobi, she was told that she would need to be tested. In what, exactly, she still didn't quite know. And was soon introduced to a most unique being ever.
There was no words beyond two or three that she could think of, namely downright adorable, cute and dangerous. The latter she just felt from his presence. She stifled the urge to reach out and hug him, because she wasn't sure if that would offend the teddy-bear-like being. But she stood up, and unsure of the proper procedure or gesture to a Jedi master, she simply clasped her hands over each other in front of her, and bowed her head lightly, "I am pleased to meet you, Jedi Master Rawkill."
That ought to be polite enough. She would learn the etiquette later.

Kent never expected to love the outdoors this much. Most of her life had been spent in the hustle and bustle of a city world. The quiet did unnerve her at first, but now she had learned to open her senses up to all around her. She realized that there was even more life, more happening here than her past home. She read in the gardens as much as she could, but this time she was practicing footwork she had read about in the archives. She was weaponless, but a small stick supplemented a saber hilt. She practiced the movements over and over. As she practiced there was something off in the area above her. She sensed it. Looking up she saw a streak come across the sky, south of the base. She felt panic from inside, then she saw a flash and then felt nothing. She turned to see if anyone else had seen the sight, No one else was in this porting of the gardens, and the falling ship was out of the direct airspace of the base. She went off running to find a master. Someone needed to know what had happened. She was already winding from her exercises, so she had to catch her breath when she ran into the small Ewok master. She hadn't spoken to him before but had seen him interacting with the other masters.

Rawkill had been taking a leisurely paced stroll through the Temple. It was one of a rare few days in which he was not occupied every moment of the day by training Padawans or dealing with Galactic Alliance matters. Not that he had issue with dealing with the aforementioned matters. But it was nice to have a moment to relax and connect with the Force. Something that was soon interrupted as he started to walk into the gardens when Kent just about trampled him. Causing Rawkill to jump backwards a couple paces before he looked up at her. A look of concern and worry marring her face Where is a Padawan off to in such a hurry?

Kent goes bright red with embarrassment. She tries to stammer out words. I...I...I...I am sorry Master. Looking down at the Jedi Master was a unique experience for her, she rarely looked down to anyone, much less someone more experienced than her. She breaths and regains her composer. I saw, well saw and felt a ship crash. I felt panic coming from it than nothing. Someone needs to go help. I was running looking for someone!

Rawkill reached out and placed his paw on the young Padawan's hand, trying to calm her. The girl managing to gain her composure and form understandable words. Something about a ship crashing off in the forest and sensing panic. Rawkill turned his head briefly. But got no sense that anyone else had seen the crashing vehicle and was rushing to assist it. Causing him to turn his gaze back up to Kent. Perhaps she had been seeing things and there was no crashed ship. Or she was telling the truth and she was the only witness. In either case, there was only one way to be sure And you're sure you saw which direction it crashed in? Because if so, I will need your help to find it...

Tucked away in one of the wildest and most untamed corners of the gardens, stood a tall tree. It was clearly not native to the planet, appearing to be a tall Elm. It had stood strong, many claim that it predates even the Base itself. Only the oldest or most curious among the bases inhabitants would know that this mighty tree was truly a Jedi Master. Frond Saa. His archive entry goes far back, putting him at several centuries old by the time of the Clone Wars. Records of the Purge indicate him being MIA after evading clone forces on Falucia.
Through out his Hibernation Trance he has protected the Garden, ensuring it to be evergreen and just wild enough that it not be too manicured. Long he has slept, generations of birds nesting in his beard, squirrels running up and down his barky skin. Never waking, planted next to the stream that makes its way through the garden. A breeze fluttered the leaves on the branches that protruded from his sleeping form. Change was on the breeze.

Kent had recovered from her embarrassment of almost running over a high ranking master. She was surprised that he was asking her to do more than report the event and point in the direction. She was a no one here, she didn't even have a training lightsaber to carry. I can point out where the ship landed, but I do not think I would be much use out there. Most any other padawan would be of more help out there.

Kent might have been right. In fact, Rawkill could have probably gotten several Jedi Knights to help. But then, the young Padawan would not have a chance to learn Perhaps... But you already know the signatures we need to find with the Force. And if you stay cooped up behind these walls, you’ll never learn what it truly means to be a Jedi... We can stop by the armoury first and get you something to help protect yourself with. The choice is yours Padawan... but remember, there is at least one life out there counting on you right now.

Kent tried to hide her astonishment that she was actually being asked to do something. Her eyes lit up at finally feeling useful for the first time since she arrived. If you are ok with it master. I would love to help you... What kind of weapon should I take?
