*This is a series of rooms which make up the smaller building to the right of the main base complex. A few functions are served by this building, but for this set of areas, the purpose is for training in the combat-related arts, or sparring to sharpen skills.
There are about three large square rooms with nothing within them—unless desired—for indoor sparring and training. Lights overhead can be controlled to be dim or bright, depending on the type of setting desired. In the last room, a few training remotes and droids are provided for use by those within the base.
At the end of this hall is a door, leading to two large outdoor, sparring areas. The first is enclosed by a tall brick wall for private training sessions or single duels. The ground is packed earth; the space is clear and well large enough to facilitate a good duel. The second is much larger, and has no wall around it. It has instead a rectangular indention into the earth with clearly marked boundaries. A flat grassy strip sections this place off from the rest of the base, and mainly the garden wall. The ground of this place can be soft earth, grass or packed dirt depending on where one stands. It provides a more natural setting for either a single duel... or for multiple people to spar or train with one another.*

*Tom led Asani into the training area, into an empty room. With a wave of his hand, the lights and monitors lit up, filling the room with light and sounds. His lightsaber came to his hand, but he didn't activate it. Instead, he only strode to the center of the room, turned to the left, took a step or two backward, then sat down upon the ground, setting his lightsaber in his lap and gesturing for Asani to sit across from him before setting his hands on his lap.* Tell me what you have learned, what you know. Then I shall test you in what I can. *He could have simply tested her first and learned what she knew that way, and arguably it could have been fun, but he preferred to know his student before putting them through any sorts of physical trials.*

Asani follows Tom into the room and takes just a moment to glance around at all the lights and monitors before trying to block them from her mind and focus on the task of her training. She follows Tom's lead and takes hold of her shoto lightsaber in a single paw before sitting across from, setting the small lightsaber down in her lap and crossing her paws atop it. She works to clear her mind and relax her body, and the color fades from her fur as she grows calm. At Tom's request to hear of what she has learned, she takes a moment to think back over her time with Master Roma, and even before that.
"Well, I began to learn basics like Force Sense, Telekinesis, and Telepathy at the temple on Arkania before Master Roma and I met. Later I began to learn and practice the first five lightsaber combat forms, eventually leaning more toward Ataru. Once Master Roma took me as her padawan, my training under her direction would strengthen what I had already learned, and I also continued to learn more. In the relatively short time she taught me I learned Force Healing, and Force Speed, and continued to sharpen my lightsaber skills.
She also helped me to better focus my connection to the force while we were traveling out in the jungle here on Felucia. In my travels since we were separated, I have learned how to suppress my emotions and hold back changes in my fur color, and hope to one day be able to control the changes at will, as I figure that could be useful. I also finally managed to master Galactic Basic, mostly out of necessity with all the different people I had to talk with during my travels."

*Tom listened as Asani described her past training, nodding at key points. She seemed to be well-trained, and that would benefit the both of them. Interestingly enough, she'd mentioned improving her connection to the Force while in Felucia's jungle, and Tom smiled. Then she revealed her intention to control her color changes at will, possibly for camouflage and espionage. His eyebrows raised; that was a pretty clever idea, and he nodded.* Creative of you, perhaps if we do not return you to Master Roma soon, I can aid you with that. Oh, and you mentioned learning to focus your senses in Felucia. A good place to learn; the air is rich with the Force. I know of at least one who has been able to meld with the world itself, to great effect. *Tom liked to foreshadow things, which was why he did not mention exactly whom he was referring to. But now he had the decision of where to go from here with her training. Then, he decided it was time for another test, as he raised an eyebrow.* I've decided how to begin with temporarily taking over your training. I've decided that I will let you decide what we start with. *Not often did a teacher ask the student what they would like to be taught. But truthfully, this was just another learning tool. This was Tom's first test. There would be no wrong answers, but whatever answer she gave would be yet another tool for Tom to use in their training...*

After what seemed like an hour Von finally found the perfect dueling room. It was open and full of room to move around in, he waited for the man to enter sword in hand he wanted to know who this man was and why he wised to fight him. Was this man also a Jedi or was he someone who is merely noisy and wished to be apart of something. Pointing his sword at the man who was about to walk in he smiled.

Johun followed the man, jedi robes billowing behind him. As the entered what appeared to be a training room, Johun smiled. Hopefully he could make a difference in this boy's current path. Johun removed his ou robes, and placed them neatly in the corner. All that remained was his sleeveless green tunic, traditional khaki pants, brown boots, and of course, Vormund, hanging on his right hip. Johun unclasped Vormund from its place on his him, enjoy the feel of the cool metal of the saber hilt. He had built this saber from scratch and was practically apart of him now. Falling in to the Soresu opening stance; knees slightly bent, shoulder width apart, with his left foot forward toe pointed forward and his right foot backward toe pointed 90 degrees toward the right, left arm coming up to shoulder height, palm forward facing his opponent, right arm back elbow bent so the saber would extend across his chest from left to right; Johun ignited Vormund's blade, its icy blue color coming to life with the expected snap-hiss of a lightsaber. Johun waited for his opponent to make the first move, as the boy seemed very head strong, and would probably be eager to make the first strike. As he waited, Johun sank himself into the Force, letting it guide his acions...

Vos looked at the man before him and his strange stance and his strange sword, what was this thing. But before he could react he heard voice in his head. He didn't know where it was coming from but he remembered this voice from his past the same day he killed his step father in cold blood. He thought it was in his head but it was happening again,
Kill this man before you, he is evil...he is the one the reason why your mother died. He is the reason why you were abandoned on Korriban. Kill him and you will be stronger and far more powerful. Drop his body and you will know real power.
Vos looked up at the man before him, Vos didn't know that his eyes had turned a dark yellowish tint. Pulling out his sword and dagger, he prepared his stance. Unlike the man before him he didn't have a fancy stance just his sword raised. He took his dagger and ran the blade against his shoulder to his arm, he clipped a minor vein. Blood started to run down his arm, it was a strange thing but when his life was in danger he seemed to fight harder. The air around Vos got heavier as he prepared the attack, running at the man head long, he jumped to the side at the last second throwing his dagger at the man. Aiming it for the mans chest. While he came in low and swiped at the mans knees, it was one of the things he used to take down the many beasts on Korriban. He wanted this man to suffer before he killed him.
YOur going to die, you killed my mother and now I am going to kill you.So much rage and anger was in the boys voice that it was starting to show through in his attack.

Johun closed his eyes and sank further into the Force as the boy charged him. The approach was typical of someone who needed to feel powerful and in control, and in turn, let everyone know it. Such brash actions were usually with little thought given to strategy. Releasing a low powered Force push with his left hand aimed at deflecting the dagger that had been thrown at him, Johun stepped forward with his right foot, rotating his hips to the left. His stance would be a mirror image of his previous one as far as his lower body was concerned. Simultaneously, Johun thrust his right arm out and downward, designed to contact and deflect his opponent's blade away from its target.
I have no idea who you are, much less your parents, boy. What are you talking about?

Von's extended his left leg out and maintained his right foot back showing off the stance of simple split, holding his left arm out the sword made contact with the man's strange blade. There was no clash of metal on metal but a hissing sound of hot metal on water. Jumping back from this attack his legs came up with great flexibility, stepping back from the man he only stared at him with cold dead eyes. Thinking to himself he swung the sword in his hand, looking up and down at the man before him. He made the first attack but it was countered with ease, not to mention he deflected his dagger with out even touching it. This man was strange to Von and this caused him to be weary, but this also made it more fun for fun. Not to mention he would finally get to kill the one responsible for his mothers death, but if the voice was correct this man was a member of the Sith.
He lies....listen to his voice it reeks of lies. HIs eyes are rotting with the decay of treachery and betrayal, he knows all about your parents he just wants to cause you pain. WELL SHOW HIM show him what your pain can do to him show him how to feel your pain.
The voice inside Von's head was getting louder and louder, it was even starting to drown out the sound of his heart beating heavily in his chest. He knew he wasn't crazy an yet something was talking to him. But the voice was correct on something, whether this man be who the voice said he was. Then this man caused him terrible hardship, his only mother died giving birth to him. HIs father beat him till he could no longer stay awake. Von learned how to kill someone at an early age and now he was going to use that knowledge and kill this man before him. Focusing on the sad and tormenting memories of his youth. Focusing on the pain forced upon him for his mothers death, the pain both physical and emotionally that was inflicted on him. An lastly Von focused on the raw unrelenting emotion the pure undiluted rage and hatred he had for the man standing before him. The very man who caused him all this pain all this destruction. Von didn't know this at the time but he was using Force Rage, gathering every painful memory and feeling and using it to fuel his hatred for this fight. The ground around where Von stood sunk in with a great force, letting out an uncontrolled roar Von clenched his hand around his Sith sword. Von wouldn't notice it but the man would mostly likely see small feint sparks emanating from the sword itself. Surely he would know just what type of sword this was, and see that it was controlling how this battled swayed from the simple duel to the soon to be bloody duel. Von's heart rate was beating at considerably intense pace. He felt as if his heart was going to explode but this was what he wanted he wanted to a fight where one would die and the other lived. Leaning back and forth Von thought how to attack next and as soon as he found an idea his body took over like instinct.
Von's body leaned far to the left it looked as if he was going to hit the ground but right before his chest was a few feet off the ground Von's right foot stepped to the right at a 40 degree angle. Pivoting his waist to the right to follow through with his foot, he used the gravity of his falling and the new found speed he had and darted to the right like a bullet. Holding the sword with both hands he brought the blade down low, the tip barely touching the ground. Making sure to follow the mans movements he brought the sword up attempting to swing up towards the mans stomach and chest. Had the man's sword been metal he knew that the man would block this attack but he was simply seeing what this man's sword would do. For this attack would shatter a normal sword if not cause a sever crack in the metal, the one know as Von was no longer present in this fight. It was all instinct and the unrelenting urge to strike down the man before him.
There was something special about the Sword the Von carried and it had to do with the fact that it was imbued with the memories of Sith Lord. Similar to a Holocrom this tool would cause a great impact on this boy's life if he kept this sword for much longer let alone tap into the dark energies that this sword had stored up.
At this point I don't think I care that you killed my mother, all I care about is finding out what it feels like to kill someone out of joy. Because I am loving this fight.

Swords were interesting weapons when used against a lightsaber. Their blades had mass, to the relatively mass-less blade of the saber. But that mass also slowed swords down, and caused greater fatigue to occur faster to the wielder, if not adequately trained. This boy was teenaged, but Johun wouldn't assume that meant untrained. Johun also took note of the unusual appearance of the sword. Johun hadn't seen it for long, or in great detail, but to Johun it looked like an old Sith sword. He had studied them while he was a padawan, but never thought he'd actually see one. His opponent was getting more interesting by the minute.
Bracing himself, Johun timed his movements to those of his opponent. As he boy started his rising strike, Johun gripped his saber hilt in a two-handed grip, right over left, and slightly bent his elbows, while rotating his saber horizontally to his left, to catch his opponents blade from advancing any higher or closer to Johun's abdomen. The bending of the elbows and two-handed grip were so he could counter the momentum from the sword's mass. Once the blade was stopped, Johun would head butt at his opponent using Projected Fighting through the Force in an attempt to cause physical damage as if he had actually struck the boy with his being. The strike was aimed at the bridge of his opponent's nose. If it worked, it should caused severe pain, possibly even bloodying or breaking the nose.
One should never kill. One should avoid killing, even in self defense, unless it is unavoidable.

Von was angered when his sword was countered, he put so much force in that attack. But before he could react he felt a blinding pain, he didn't know what it was at first but the sound of a nasty crunch was heard. His head felt heavy for a moment as he staggered back trying to gain his composure, his eye sight flashed white for a second. He couldn't understand why but he had a familiar taste of copper and metal in his mouth. It was warm against his tongue, it took him a moment to come back to his senses to realize that the man had just broke his nose through some sort of contact. Bringing up his right hand to the bridge of his nose he felt the damage that had been done and taking in a deep breath he cracked the bone and cartilage back in place. If nothing else it would stop the bleeding or at least slow it down. His body started to get heavier and heavier and his movements started to slow down. He couldn't explain why this was happening but he noticed his sword was getting heavier. He had to finish this before he was hit with severe fatigue. Raising up his right hand palm facing his opponent he dropped his left hand down his sword making contact with the floor. The attack on Von had caused him to black out, what was happening now was not a conscious boy. Building up the force within him feeding on his emotions he focused all the energy left with in and aimed it towards the man before him. This was his final attack, so whether it killed the target or not Von would collapse after this attack. The sword in hand was intensifying his connection to the dark side of the force as he prepared for this move. Von had not attempted this before nor did he even know what he was doing. His body was following the words of the sword that he grasped to.
Live or DIe, it does not matter. When you no other choice is available before you, no matter who you are. Everyone would do what ever it takes to survive, but if you had one chance to win then death seems perfect if it means victory.....
With that Von let out a massive destructive wave, similar to force destruction. But in a more focused direction, this attack would most likely shatter every bone Von's arm and most of his ribs. Do to the effect of how inexperienced he was with this attack and how powerful it would be. The destructive wave left Von's and headed towards the man, but before he could see what had happened his body collapsed to the floor. His head hitting the ground with the loud thud, his right arm was mangled from the attack. Blood was slowly starting to spill from his arm due to multiple compound fractures. The last words Von heard before he was passed out were harsh and cold ones.
It seems I was wrong about you boy...you never deserved my teachings...your just like your mother. Nothing but a waste of space, you are nothing but bacteria...worthless

Johun didn't expect an attack of this magnitude from the boy. He braced himself the best he could, but was thrown backward, into the bulkhead, and went unconscious. Moments after this, medical droids retrieved both unconscious bodies and took them to the Medical Facilities. There they would be evaluated and treated. The sword was collected as well, and placed next to Von in the medical wing.

*It had taken her longer than she had expected to locate her training saber. She really needed to start taking it with her despite her preference to not use it. As she approached the training halls she felt a surge of unfamiliar energy then nothing. That couldn't be good. She stepped up the pace but by the time she arrived where she felt the surge come from the droids onhand incase something were to occur without supervision had already taken care of whatever happened. Recognizing her as a learner they assured her that everything was quite alright and the she didn't need to worry about it. She tried to press them for details but to no avail. She had always thought droids could be a little annoying thanks to all their single focused logic. Rules were rules but droids had to follow them where as well.. it didn't really matter much anyway.*
*She turned back to the door wondering what lessons she might have missed by not being here. She began to wander aimlessly as she thought about the last time she had felt a darkness in the area. Back on the day she arrived.*

*Morgan went through the last of her stretching and warmup routine, wanting to make sure she was completely loosened up for this challenge. Serena had been a bit of an odd blessing in the sense that she was a little more athletically-inclined than Jake and other students Morgan's own age. Still had nothing on Michelle, though Morgan knew it was crazy to compare an eight-year-old to an eleven-year-old, and similarly crazy to think Morgan could try to keep up with her.
But Serena was different. She was Morgan's age, and, while she was a little taller than her... and, well, most eight-year-olds actually... that made her more of a realistic goal to keep up with. While Morgan had the edge when it came to jungle navigation, it was more open and straightforward challenges that she fell behind in, like speed races and the like. Morgan was still pretty competent in obstacle courses thanks to her agility training, but there were still plenty of ways she could improve.* Alright, you ready? *And this was one of them. Morgan stood up straight, dressed lightly in a t-shirt and pair of training shorts, standing before one of the climbing courses in the training area. While she didn't normally like the harness, she was wearing one with a cable attached in case she fell. She was also barefoot, as she refused to climb without being able to use her feet and toes. It was one of the tougher courses, at least for their age level and her size, but she was ready to tackle it.*

*Serena went through her usual routine of stretches and such before the latest training challenge before her. She would be doing this with Morgan, and it was a climbing course this time. She wasn't as good at climbing as she was at swimming or running, but she figured she'd be a good match for Morgan in any case. Serena loved this type of training, where she could really push herself to her limits and since Morgan was fairly evenly matched with her, it meant she never had to hold back.
Dressed identically to Morgan, Serena sprung to her feet after finishing with her stretches and grinned.*"Yeah! Let's do this!"*She took a second to adjust the harness a bit before making her way over to the course. This looked like a more difficult course than any she had tackled before, but that was just fine with her.*

*Morgan grinned eagerly as she approached the wall, ready to begin. She took a deep breath to steady herself then exhaled it, then looked up at the wall. ... on second thought, she was glad she had the harness on. Shaking her head and taking another deep breath, she managed to regain her confidence and smile at Serena.* Ready... GO! *She then leapt at the wall and proceeded to climb upwards. She tried to remember the path as she climbed so that she wouldn't waste time by looking down to find footholds, and she scaled the wall to the best of her abilities. She didn't even keep an eye on her progress compared to Serena's, she was just doing her best to scale as quickly as possible, and not slip.*

*Serena did not hesitate when Morgan declared that the race was on and she started climbing as fast she could. Unfortunately, it wasn't as fast she was hoping it would be, though she tried to keep her focus on continuing upwards. She couldn't help but sneak a peek at where Morgan was at, and she frowned when she saw that her friend was ahead of her. This wasn't going well...
Redoubling her efforts, Serena climbed as fast she was able, searching for any shortcut she could take to try and get ahead of Morgan. It looked for a minute that she might gain the lead but her haste eventually cost her as her foot slipped and with a cry of dismay, she tumbled, the safety harness the only thing keeping her from plummeting to the ground. The cable caught her before she had descended any distance, but it didn't matter. She had fallen, so she had lost...*"Oh...damn it!"*Her face went very red as the cuss word escaped her before she could catch herself. Oh it was a really really good thing her parents weren't here to hear that! Hopefully Morgan wouldn't say anything...*"Oh...oh my...I shouldn't have said that..."

*The cry made Morgan stop long enough to see that Serena had slipped, losing her grip and falling off the wall. Yep, very glad they had the harnesses. But then Serena blurted out a swear word, then seemed to instantly regret it by blushing and stating that she shouldn't have said that. Morgan only giggled and started to descend, holding onto the harness and rappelling downward.* It's okay, I've said bad words too! *Then, paranoid, she looked around, as though fearing someone was listening in. Maybe she should keep her voice down a little when revealing secrets like that...* I mean, not a lot... only when I need to. And sometimes on accident... *She gave a mischievous little giggle as her feet reached the floor and she started to undo the harness, then stopped and looked at Serena.* Wanna go again, or try something else?

*Serena was a relieved that no one besides Morgan was within earshot, and she giggled when the girl clarified that while she also said bad words, it wasn't all the time. Hopefully neither of them would let a cuss word slip while adults were in earshot...*"Oh...well I hope I don't swear in front of the adults...that wouldn't be good..."*She sighed as she looked back up at the climbing course.*"I wanna go again. I won't fall this time!"*Serena wasn't about to walk away from this even after falling. It had only been once and she was planning on falling again.*

*Morgan giggled when Serena expressed hope that her tongue wouldn't slip in the presence of an adult. Morgan had done that... but the person she was with didn't seem to even care. And as far as Morgan was concerned, her swear had been warranted. Then there was the other time she intentionally swore in front of her father as a joke and he took it well... but that had admittedly been pushing her luck. It still made a good joke though, as far as she was concerned.
Serena wanted to keep going, which was fine with Morgan. She tightened her harness back up, though this would be the last time she hoped; she didn't like this harness, even if it saved their lives. Morgan then made sure Serena was ready before calling the race.* Ready? Go! *And once more she was off, scaling up the wall as fast as she could. Nothing like climbing a tree, and she knew that if she ever actually had to climb a real rock face, it probably wouldn't be like this. And she also wouldn't have harnesses... But she'd have training and the Force. That would be enough if she ever had to scale one, right?*
