Jair headed down a hall towards the training area. Having secured and evacuated the Archives, his next step was to try to salvage as much of the training data as possible. But as he approached the now closed blast doors leading into the training room, he se need both very dark presences, and a concentrated clash of light and dark emanating through the Force from the other side of the door. The aggressive buzzing and angry clashes of lightsabers reached his ears, confirming what he sensed. He inched up to the door carefully and quietly, and debated in his mind what to do next. He focused his mind and cleared his thoughts, reaching out through the door. He could sense the high stakes and tension. He could not risk barging in recklessly. It could take the Sith off guard, yes, but, it could also risk breaking the Jedi’s balance, and that, he sensed could be too dangerous here. For the moment he waited.

Swiftly going on the defense, Eruestan made the Sith work hard to find possible openings, but each time a golden blade was placed to deflect. In a contrast to Malvus the Jedi was an oasis of calm and peace. He could not hear the banter between his padawan and the sith apprentice but could sense the struggle. As effortless as he was attempting to make it appear, this Siths assult would prevent him from intervening with out exposing himself to a killing blow. |

While Eruestan could not stand his ground against his Sith opponent, he also knew what the enemy was trying to do. Instead of backing up, he would step to the side, effectively going in a circle, so that he didn't need to resist the Sith, but was not driven from his padawan. The thunderous sounds of lightsaber striking lightsaber were drowning out almost all sound around them. Eruestan could keep up this defense, but it would get him no closer to victory, so he began to alter his concentration from keeping Force Protection up to Force Valor to augment his combat prowess.

*Three quick strikes, that was all. Easily defensible, Maggy's green blade dancing to meet each strike, taking small steps to aid her own movements. She recognized the style of Makashi, though held no insight into its finer intricacies. Its only weakness that she knew of—blaster fire—was currently unavailable to her. Not that she thought she alone with a blaster would fare any better against this opponent; if anything, she believed she'd be worse off.*

Luxeria smirked despite being easily repelled. The young one had some semblance of skill with a blade. That was good. She would have hated to just cut someone down that could truly use the weapon they carried. She was a Sith and Maggy was a Jedi, but Luxeria had to hold on to a bit of pride. An enemy that couldn't even fight did nothing to further her reputation. But weaker opponents was something she was fine with, so long as they could hold some resistance.
Choosing to press the attack in further, she stepped forward with her right leg and struck out with her saber, looking to plunge the blade straight into Maggy's body, just below the chest. Hit or miss, Luxeria would then continue her flow, letting the blade lift into the air while heading a bit to her, circling overhead, and slashing downwards diagonally to where the Jedi's left shoulder would have been.

*Maggy took a step backward with her right foot as she parried the chest thrust, which allowed her to lean backward out of the way of the second swipe—but with a surprised gasp. She nearly lost her balance but managed to convert her momentum into a somersault, landing back on her feet with her saber swinging around back into a defensive position.*

Luxeria scoffed as Maggy continued to defend, even getting close to losing an arm at the very least. Letting her saber settle back at her side, she let it sway back and forth as she addressed the apprentice in a mocking tone. "You won't get anywhere if all you do is defend. Leave it to the Jedi to make you so weak. Just another life wasted."
She decided to press on with the attack, no longer ready to just play games with the padawan. She needed to end it as quickly as possible as she knew that he physical strength would only hold up for so long. Damn those three she had to face at the entrance. They pushed her more than she would have liked.
Stepping forward with her right foot, she now stood sideways, right shoulder aimed at Maggy. Moving forward to press her attack, she made a light slash at the girl's right leg, then moved up in a small ark for a light strike against her right arm. Pulling it away, she then quickly returned with a wider slash from her own left to right before lifting it up and bringing it in a downward slash, then inwards to plunge at the girl's heart.
But she didn't stop, stepping forward with her left foot in order to spin around the girl's right side. As she came back around to face Maggy, he left hand made a swipe through the air, seeking to channel just enough energy in order to try and get the girl off her feet and to the ground.

A dark rage ignited within the Sith Lord, a pool of bubbling lava and fiery temper smoldered within the Sith. A Force Rage had erupted within him, augmented by the souls of those trapped within the crystal. From this proximity with the Jedi, he wondered if Eruestan could sense their pain as souls were sacrificed for power, a dark blessing to Malvus.Can you hear them, Master Jedi?He inquires with an evil grin on his face.A million souls... with a single purpose of making me powerful. |

The two Sith continued to duke it out with the Jedi, playing their mind games, working to break the master and padawan before ending their lives if given the opportunity. Luxeria, herself, took advantage of her own weakening strength to toy with Maggy. Instead of engaging in full combat, she made simple and pitiful strikes in an attempt to play at the idea of mocking the Jedi so as to keep her strength for as long as possible. And as the apprentice continued to play defensively, her task was made that much easier.
Just when she drove in hard, using some of her strength to bear down upon the little girl in hopes to finally break her, using force and words to get inside her head, she felt the area shake and heard a sound like distant thunder. The base's destruction had begun. She gave her opponent a smirk before pressing harder to shove the Jedi back before leaping back to gain more distance. Letting her lightsaber settle down at her side, she called out in a mocking tone. "It seems our goal has been achieved. Cherish your lives for you get to keep them...for now. But always remember that we came without warning, invaded your base without hesitation, and have brought its destruction. Remember this day Jedi and cower in the darkness, knowing that we will come again, quickly, forcefully, and without warning." She gave off a laugh that echoed throughout the room as she and her master retreated, knowing that their goal had been achieved. Now it was time to pull out before the bae came crumbling down around them. Back out the way they came where Luxeria would collect two of the saberstaves of the Jedi Brutes she had killed earlier.

The world started to rumble as distant explosions tore through the Base. But something far darker was happening right in front of Eruestan. He could not 'hear' the screams but he felt them. Eruestan pressed his attack. Letting Valor carry his actions and blows. The Jedi did not plan on giving Malvus an escape option. This evil was too much to allow to escape, even if it meant he held him down as the Base crumbled to dust around them. If the SIth made any attempt to escape, Eruestan made every attempt to keep in his way, or at least be able to give a parting strike.

As he waited he felt the floors and the walls begin to rumble. He quietly and quickly withdrew to find an exit, sensing the tension in the Force beginning to ever so slightly wane.

Malvus heard the signal for the retreat through his comlink. He deflects an attack by Eruestan, attempting to get away. Yet the Jedi was persistent and this annoyed the Sith Lord greatly. He slammed his foot down on the ground, causing a slight Force Shockwave in order to delay the Jedi's attack. With that performed, the Sith disengaged and jumped back to where Luxeria was located. Four Sith Warriors appeared from within the hallways, lightsabers were drawn. The Sith Lord disengages his own devices, glancing at Luxeria.
Proceed to the extraction point, Luxeria. Our work here is done.
With that, he departs down the hallway, using the Force to increase his speed. Once Luxeria followed him, the Sith Warriors departed as well, bringing up the rear.

Luxeria nodded before looking back to the Jedi one final time, a smirk falling across her face before she turned and followed her master, her steps enhanced with the Force as well.
