Dand shot another smile at that; one that wilted as his datapad beeped. Reading it, the look that crossed his face was one he didn't share very often - looking back up, the flirtatiousness and whimsy gone from his face, Dand shook his head. "Homicide. Twelve year old Twi'lek girl gunned down in Kway Teow. Kark! Just a perfect way to break in the new Padawan." Dand turned on his heel, but, as he walked, he called over his shoulder. "Seems the Force has other plans for me Iella Dresari. Just keep in mind that some of us act the way we do to keep ourselves sane...I'll catch you later sweetheart, or try my damnedest to catch you." The flamboyance and flirtatious edge crept back into his voice by the end - but, clearly, the Jedi knight was disturbed by he and his padawans newest assignment.
Slowly, Dand walked back to the ship. Walking up the ramp before pausing to call out to Mary. "Mary! Where are you?"

*Iella watched him go for just a moment, feeling a little bad for just assuming that all he knew how to do was flirt. Of course that was short lived as he seemingly returned right back to flirt mode as he left. Her master had always told her never to judge a holo-book by its cover, but this Dand character was hard to read. Granted their meeting had been brief, so there hadn't been much opportunity to get to know him. Then again, Iella suspected that he might like to "know" her in more than one way...
Rolling her eyes, she returned to the task at hand. It wasn't long before that was done though, and with the X-wing in good shape, Iella figured now would be a good time to check in. Straightening her cloak, she made her way out of the hangar.*

As the Tusken boards the ship, an icon in Mary's mask flashes red before the video feed pops up. With how close the living area was to the main ramp, it didn't take long for the woman to come into sight of the small child. Snapping her fingers to get the child's attention, Mary attempted to figure out what the child was doing.
-Mary Why are you on my ship?
Before she could get a reply, Dandy's called in. Fortunately she had already synced the comm to her mask as well, allowing her to take the call without the child being aware.
-Mary (Comm only) On the ship still, we have a small guest.

Dand walked in, hearing the comment on someone being on the ship. "Technically, its the Order's ship. Besides the fact, we have orders. And..." Dand trailed off a he saw the small Tusken child. "...Who the hell are you? What are you? Can you speak basic?" Dand knelt down on the deck to look the child in the eyes (or, mask thing), and smiled widely. "Hello? Are you lost?"

Kr'Naan'Kar froze when she heard a voice, and turned to face Mary. She had never seen an Outsider before. And soon enough there were two of them. She could understand Basic, but unfortunately she couldn't speak it. Also unfortunately, the seven year old Tusken did not realize that others did not speak her language, and started jabbering away in her native tongue. She turned her datapad around the show the man, Dandleion, an old vid of a freighter flying through space and shooting asteroids. She tapped the screen several times as the scene progressed and the ship landed on a green planet, and held it up to show Mary as well.
-Naan in Tusken- "Do you need a mechanic, mister? I may be young, but I know enough to get by. I don't eat much, and I can fit in small spaces so I'm useful for getting places you can't. I want to see the Universe!"
The small Tusken child pulled up several pictures of various planets and backgrounds like forests, tapping furiously at the screen to try and convince the two to let her fly on their ship.

After listening to the child jabber for a short while, Mary figured she would push this off on Dandy & let him handle it. After all everything he has done has been measured & responsible. Just like the dead windbag said a Jedi should be.
-Jasper I'll let the windbag comment slide on the grounds that he is one of the best Jedi I've ever seen. So far as I've seen.
-Titana Yup, he's a really good-two-shoes.
-Mary I don't think it speaks basic. Well, I'm sure you can handle reuniting it with it's family.

Dand, through the force, could feel the child's radiant excitement - and, more or less, the child's intent. The child's excitement, combined with the pictures and gestures, alluded to her wanting to travel. Though, specifically on this ship or just in general, Dand did not know - her thoughts were relatively complex, but, in all honesty, she was an alien, and Dand wasn't familiar enough to know for sure how...deductive...the child was. He didn't sense confusion from her though over their actions and words - the revelation that she could understand basic just fine was mildly surprising. She seemed to be the same species as the robe clad beings from the outer hangar.
Dand's eyes narrowed, then opened widely in glee. Turning towards his new Padawan, he smiled, an all too crafty and mischievous smile. "No...no I believe that particular task falls to you, Padawan. If you can't reunite a single child with its parents, then what kind of peacekeeper will you make? No...your assignment is, without leaving the ship, to glean as much information as you can from the child. Once you've learned what you can, you may join me on the hangar deck. This will simulate a lost child...calm your mind, and use insight to glean impressions from the mind of the young one."
Kneeling down, he smiled at the little Tusken, addressing it (for he still didn't know its gender). "Hello. Please bear with my student here...she should have all the answers you seek. Have patience with her, as she is still learning." Standing, Dand waived a hand in the air as he left the ship. "Oh, and it goes without saying - don't traumatize the child. Good luck." With that, he made his way out of the ship, and across the deck towards the group of Tuskens he had seen earlier. "Hello? Anyone here speak basic? We found one of your children on our ship. She's perfectly alright - my Padawan is seeing to her."

Mary watched in growing horror as Dandy dumped the child on her & then fled the ship.
-Jasper (sounding doubtful) I suppose it could be effective training to delegate a task like this.
-Titana Nope, he just left us holding the bag & ran for the hills.
-Mary uhhh.

After Dandleion had left, leaving Mary to deal with her. She tried to grab the man's sleeve, gesturing at the datapad still showing pictures of different planets, but he was already out of reach, and she did not want to go past the woman that was here. Naan looked up for a moment at Mary, holding up the datapad to her and pointing at the scenery of flowers and meadows going across the worn and scratched screen of the datapad. Seeing that it had little effect on her though, Naan turned tail and ran away deeper into the ship, trying to find a place to hide, or at least a place to stay out of reach of the woman who wanted to take her back.
Back at the Tusken ship, Kar'Orzh was looking for Naan, his granddaughter and apprentice. She was nowhere to be found. He decided to check on the outside of the ship, thinking she might be helping with the inspections of the hull. Not finding her there, he was beginning to panic. He had started to make his way past the Dunewalkers guarding the ship when a man came up and began asking if anyone spoke basic, and mentioned a child. Kar'Orzh flagged the man down with an arm and spoke in Basic to him.
-Kar'Orzh- "You found one of our children on your ship? Is it Naan? By the Suns how did she get past the Dunewalkers?"
Kar'Orzh shouted something at the closest Dunewalker, who shouted something into the ship, and several more Tuskens came out of the ship and stood by the ramp, watching everyone who came and went to and from the ship.

Tracking the child was easy. disregarding the cameras watching every part of the ship, including the maintenance crawls, she had already gotten to know most of the ship from putting it back together. The child managed to find the access to the Central Pod's engines & cockpit. As much as she didn't want to deal with the child, she also didn't want the kid to damage anything on the ship this soon after putting it back together.
Lowering herself down the short ladder after the Tusken, Mary turned to face the still open cockpit hatch. There wasn't room to join the child inside, as the cockpit was barely big enough for a single, small person. Another child might be able to sit in there as well, but Mary, while small, was still no child. The U shaped window & reflector panels meant that the child had a rather impressive view of the entire hanger stall the ship was in.
-Mary I promise not to pull you out of there if you promise not to touch anything.
Logging a quick command with her mask, Mary remotely accessed the holonet transceiver to find & download a translation program for whatever the child was speaking. Fortunately the data sample from the security cameras should be big enough to get a positive ID.

"Oh, yes, yes. Calm my friend." Dand poured a little bit of force into that statement - not a lot, just enough to edge out any panic. "I don't know if the child is your Naan, but from the look of the youngling, she's fast on her feet and fast in thought. She's with my Padawan and very safe - I gave my padawan the object lesson of dealing with an alien species. Which, if you can pardon my rudeness....what race are you? I've only traveled to a few worlds myself."

Naan had found her way into some sort of pod. She held her breath praying to the Suns that Mary would not find her here. Her prayers went unanswered as the woman showed up over the hatch. Naan's eyes began to tear up as she thought of how much trouble she was going to be in with her grandfather and the clan. To make this much trouble on such an important mission, which she had been trusted to join. It was a dishonor to her clan. She scrolled through the pictures on her datapad and began to audibly cry.
-Naan in Tusken- "I just wanted to see stars! They look so beautiful in the pictures! Please take me with you. I want to see them! I'll do anything!"
Kar'Orzh calmed down and stammered a bit, embarrassed that he had not even introduced himself to this man. He bowed deeply before speaking.
-Kar'Orzh- "My deepest apologies. You may call me Kar'Orzh. I am Chief Engineer of the R'Crurak clan. Our people are the Ghorfa. You might know us as Tusken Raiders. Please, take me to your ship so I can retrieve Naan before she causes you any more trouble. I am incredibly sorry for her boarding your ship."
Kar'Orzh raised himself from the bow and prayed to the Suns that the Outsider before him would forgive his granddaughter's actions.

Roughly halfway though the latest bout of nonsense speech, the translation program kicked in flashing subtitles across her vision. It was time to start taking some control back of the situation.
-Mary (in Tusken) Calm down. First, I'm not going to hurt you. Second, don't touch anything in there or you might get to see the stars really soon, followed by both our deaths. Third, it really isn't up to me whether you can stay or not. Finally, can you see the man from before out the view port?

Dand bowed in response, politely, before pulling up Tusken Raiders on his datapad - thankfully finishing reading before the man straightened out of his bow. Typically violent, known to never take off their clothes, desert dwellers on the backwater world of Tatooine. Got it. "Indeed, Kal'Shor was it? Follow me - and no need to apologize. She wasn't much of a bother at all. Actually, rather quick and inventive to get on a Jedi's ship. This way." Dand waved a hand in classical - Dand fashion, and walked towards the Tempest. "A long way from Tatooine, yes? What brings you hear? Engineering of some sort?"

Naan stopped crying when she heard her native tongue being spoken, but it sounded....off. Synthesized? She pushed her hands against her mask to dry up the tears underneath and then climbed out of the pod, completely ignoring Mary's instruction to look out the view port. She was still sputtering a bit from being so worked up, but she seemed much calmer, as her curiosity had begun to take over. She looked up to Mary and began to speak.
-Naan in Tusken- "H-how did you speak Tusken just now? I don't see a translator on you. I've never heard of someone being able to translate our language that wasn't one of us...w-where did you get our language from?"
Kar'Orzh began to follow Dandleion and spoke enough to answer the questions he asked. He tried to be as vague as possible, as it was not his place to be a diplomat. He was just a worried grandfather right now.
-Kar'Orzh- "Uhm...yes. You could say that. I fix and help pilot the ship we came here in. I am sure the details would be rather boring to someone whom ships are so plentiful. We do not have as much access to them, seeing as how we are seen as barbarians."

"Indeed, councilor. I would of course never deny such a beautiful woman - truly, a flower of flowers, a rose among roses, a goddess among men and a queen among women - the honor of her duties." Dand bowed deeply, lavishly, truly, truly prostrating himself in the presence of such majestic ethereal beauty. Before he left, though, he cleared his throat. "Ahem. While I'm here - a moment of your time. I have taken a Padawan - Mary, the ruffian woman. If it could be recorded among the Jedi or whatever bureaucratic thing needs to be done. Also...dinner, candlelit, my dorm - room 111 - just think about it." He left the pair at that, a wink and his most dazzling smile to Giselle - and, to his credit, it was a handsome one - and a polite nod to Khazak. Making his way back over to his Padawan, the universe seemed to lurch (the time difference somehow magically dissipating) and Dand looked on at the newly constructed Temptest, rather impressed. "My, she does clean up well, doesn't she?" When Dandy had hugged him Khazak had remained stiff and his fists clenched tightly. Khazak was not accustomed to any form of physical contact that wasn't violent, so the action was foreign to him. His yellow eyes widened in surprise then narrowed in apprehension, when the man let go it was to reveal an attractive miraluka woman approaching. She quickly spoke and stated her purpose was to welcome and that her name was master Giselle. Upon hearing this Khazak kneeled bowing his head Master. "I have come at the request of Anya and Saris to be inducted into the order. I was at the battle for the temple and aided the others and master Calmacil as best I could. I wish to join the Order if there is any way my past transgressions can be forgiven." Flattery will get you only so far Dandyman... As to your padawan, I shall have it noted...*She waved goodbye to the man as he took off to undoubtedly harrass some other unsuspecting female Jedi, before rteunring her attention to Khazak as he spoke of his request to be inducted into the Jedi Order. There had indeed been precedences set in the past where darksiders had turned to the light and joined the Jedi Order, so she had no reason to believe it could not be possible in this case, but first she would need to learn some more about this man*It is not hard to forgive another, but to forgive oneself? that is the most important factor... This place is beginning to get quite crowded, too crowded for my liking... I suggest we continue this in the gardens...*With that, she turned around, and signalled for Khazak to follow her as she lead the way to the Gardens of the Felucian Temple*Nartaga looked down at the Jawa and nodded his head in greeting. He was glad the Jawa had a translator, as it would save some time. He had not practiced the Jawa Trade Speak in some time, and besides that he believed it would be inadequate for conversing with a Jedi Jawa. Nartaga had only met one Jawa who had been capable of using the Force in his lifetime, and was a bit surprised, but it put him at ease that he would be dealing with someone who was at least connected to Tatooine, for the time being at least.Kal'Shor bowed his head in greeting with Nartaga. He had never heard of a Jawa Jedi, but he supposed the Universe was big enough to allow for something so strange to him. He lifted his head slowly and lifted his hand in signal to the other Dunewalkers under his command, who then moved their formation to surround and block off the ramp of the ship from entry. A few moments after they stopped moving nearly fifty more Tusken Raiders, bearing the R'Crurak clan symbol on their shoulders, rushed out. They came out with ladders and tools needed to inspect the hull of the ship. Soon the ship was covered with R'Crurak Engineers performing inspections all over the outside of the ship.Nartaga raised his head and pulled a small ornately carved sandstone box from his robes.-Nartaga- "It is a great pleasure to meet you, Master Jajamal. I hope our sudden appearance here is not an inconvenience to the Jedi. I am deeply sorry we could not send word ahead of us, but we do not have the capability to send messages beyond our star system. I hope you can forgive this transgression. I offer this gift in apology. Please accept this humble offering from the R'Crurak clan to the Jedi of the planet Felucia. It is a necklace containing water from our Sacred Well."Nartaga knelt down and extended his arms, his head bowed once more, waiting for Master Jajamal to accept the box and take it from him. Seeing all that the Jedi had, just from first impressions, water from a well may not have been the best choice. Perhaps it was an even better thing that a Jawa was here to greet him. Those not of Tatooine would probably not understand the meaning of such a gift. Whereas some might have been put a little off guard by the sudden activity by the Tuskens, Plur remained as calm as ever, knowing that between the Defence Force of Felucia, The Th'tremsi Warriors that were visitng, and the sheer amount of Jedi that were present, any conflict would be dealt with easily. He gave a nod as Nartaga then proceeded to apologise for their abrupt arrival, before accpeting the ornately carved box and motioned for the Tusken leader to rise. True enough many would not fully understand such an offering, not that Sacred Waters would have been any less regarded by any other Jedi Master, but still. Plur knew the significance of such a gift, and almost felt it far too generous to be given over something so minor, but he knew it would be great offense to not accept itYour gift is graciously accepted. I assure you though, you have no need to be sorry, your visit is far from an inconveniance, even if we do seem a little bit busy at the moment. Speaking of... perhaps we should take this meeting some where a little more... quiet?

"You seem intelligent enough to me. And if its any consolation - I barely have access to a ship myself. All of it has been issued to us by the order. Ah, here we are." Coming to a stop at the ship, Dand keyed the ramp and walked inside. "Mary? Mary! Do tell me you've taken good care of our little guest?"

Mary taps her mask twice. The blank metal with three red lenses stacked vertically on the left side betrays no more emotion that her nearly monotone voice. The translation program had more emotion.
-Mary (in Tusken) This isn't just to make me look pretty. It is useful as well. The ship knows your language, & the mask talks to the ship. When I talk, the ship says the same thing in your language & the mask makes the sounds.
Quickly glancing into the now empty cockpit, Mary was relieved to see nothing has been activated. From the looks of it, Dandy was also headed back to the ship with another of whatever species the child was. Or at least it was dressed the same.
As they entered the ship, they were spotted by her mask. Using the mask, Mary sent a quick text only message to tell Dandy where they where. Not that it would be difficult to spot the open hole of the access hatch in the center of the common living area.

Nartaga stood and waited patiently for Jajamal to finished before bowing his head in agreement. He would follow the Jedi Master when he started walking. Kal'Shor would stay close behind Nartaga anywhere they went, his hand near his weapon at all times. He would take no chances with the life of his charge, even if the Jedi were peaceful.
-Nartaga- "Thank you, Master Jajamal. It is a great honor to be here. I have heard much of the Jedi from our Shaman Elder. I chose to come here to see if what he says about your Order is true. In all honesty we have had more contact with Sith in our history than Jedi. I believe you especially would know of the one named Jud'dayus."
Kar'Orzh followed Dandleion up the ramp as he spoke.
-Kar'Orzh- "The R'Crurak clan is different among our people. We have united several Tusken and Jawa clans into a peaceful nation, but most Outsider cannot see past our violent history, unlike how they look past their own genocide against our race when they took our world. Hopefully that will change as we reach into the stars."
Naan reached up to touch the mask but could not quite reach it. She quickly lowered her hand as her movement seemed to be displeasing to her. She put her hands together over her datapad and bowed her head down towards the ground.
-Naan in Tusken- "I-I'm really sorry about getting on your ship....I just really wanted to see other planets, and my grandfather wouldn't let me leave if he knew I wanted to go. He'd say I was too young, but I'm only a few years away from my Trial! I'm almost an adult."
