"Ship Design has been very centrally focused, this has left large holes in fleets with ships fulfilling tasks they were never designed to do." This was the thesis of a student at the First Order Academy on Carida. Moff Thul was looking into what was being taught and reading some papers when she came across this idea. It intrigued her enough that she sent it on to the designers at Kuat. The Auxilia-Class was the end of this. A ship designed to fit the needs of a fleet, not a fleet to fit its ships. The smaller capital ship also took the lead of ships from the past. Repulsor lifts and landing gear allowed this ship to land on uneven surfaces. The interior could be configured in a number of ways. From medical, detention, interrogation, training facilities, and others, the ship could be made to meet needs that arose. The limited space did mandate a commander to choose one designation.
The Ship had troop space for 18,000 personnel, gear, and support vehicles, though the number could fluctuate lower based on the configuration. It was armed with 20 dual turbolaser cannons, 20 turbolaser cannons, 10 quad laser cannons, 12 ion cannons, 15 proton torpedo launchers with 10 misses each, 8 tractor beam projectors. Though not a fighter carrier, the Auxilia can carry up to 48 fighters
