Description:
Kuat-Entralla Engineering conceived of, designed, and built the Mandator V-class Heavy Siege Dreadnought as an evolutionary progression of the Mandator IV design. They took the base shape of the Mandator IV and fused it with the curved prow of the Eclipse-class and the cutout hull sections from the Conservator-class (Side View.). The curved prow of the ship worked well as a reinforced ram for large capital ships and defence stations. The cut out sections provided protected hangar access for the Mandator V's fighter complement of 168 Starfighters.
The flat triangle shape also proved useful for mounting the Orbital Autocannons beneath the Dreadnought, while an additional pair were mounted along the sides toward the Prow. A secondary sighting bridge was used as both the main Bridge in an emergency, but as a sighting tower under all other circumstances. A litany of guns spotted the surface of the Mandator V, while 12,000 Stromtroopers called the vessel home.
An advanced targeting system allowed the Autocannons to be deadly accurate against most decently sized targets, while aiding the remaining weapons in their accuracy.
