The teen walks into the hall. A few days of regular food and a safe place to sleep had done wonders. Her strength was as strong as ever, and her mind still as sharp. She had even been working out, not to pull a job or stay lose. She did it because she wanted to see what she could do. Her balance had improved, she was near her peak. She went into the Dinning Hall. Up till now the wookie she was told would meet her hadn't been working when Kent had been there. She grabbed a plate of salad with a grilled poultry, one of the local game birds. She went to a back wall, where she could hear almost everything. This was a Jedi base, students were being taught by masters. Kent may not have one her self, but she could pick up on things.
Near by there was a knight talking to a youngling. She was telling the kid how to focus and make things move on command. Kent had made things move, but only in some circumstances. In those times she had been in danger, here she was safe. Deep down she knew it. She had tried to use the Force , to recreate and remember the feelings from before. Up to this point she had been unable to manage even a wiggle. She decided to try again, she focused on her fork, stabbing a bite of salad and bird. The Knight was saying to focus but not force it. "Have it move, not make it move. Clear your mind of distractions..." That was easy for some. For a mind like hers, that was almost impossible. She continued to fail. The frustration building in the back of her mind, and she struggled to reign in her thoughts and racing mind. She paused and spoke to her self, whispering. Listen girl. That mind of ours is a tool, we use it to win. But it works for us, we are its master. Act like it girl! She cleared her mind of doubt, and distractions. Her mind was on the task. The fork wiggled a bit, then slowly began to rise in front of her. She opened her eyes and kept it steady. She took it in her hand and finished the bight. With a sense of pride and accomplishment, she looks up toward the knight and the youngling. The knight gave her a small wink and nod. She sat back and listened to more, taking in everything.

That helps, thank you. I have spent most of the past twelve years in my life in the same area, of the same planet. It has been a long time since I have been someplace I don't know. I am not used to it... Kent's biggest fear was the unknown. She relied so much on her mind and memory, being in an unfamiliar place was almost like her being blind. She tried her best to hide this fear, but some still came out. I look forward to meeting you again little one. And thank you again Adelle, for everything. Kent left and went to get some food.

Fair enough, it was just a thought. Are there any places I should avoid? I would rather not step on any more toes than I already have. The question was more to the little girl. She still saw the joy in the girl and wanted to be friendly just because. Even still, in this new situation and place her cocky confidence was all but gone. She knew that she was at too much of a disadvantage here.

Don't do that. She rubbed the spot where she was cuffed. It wasn't that hard, and it did bring her all the way back, but it was not something Kent enjoyed. Pardon my thought process. No one else was rolling on the floor like there head was exploding from the inside. I don't have any enemies here. But when I am the only one displaying any signs it seems fair to ask if i was the the only one attacked. Believe me... The girl breaks eye contact I have learned very fast that I am nothing special these last few days. Thank you for your help. She looks at the girl, and the now clearly exhausted Adelle. I am guessing you want to spend time with her little one, but I think Adelle needs a rest. She certainly wont be any fun to be around in this state. Could you show me where the dinning hall is? Please? Something about this kid was inviting, and she just radiated joy. Kent had know idea why, but she wanted more of it.

Her breathing slowed, and calm took hold again. She was here, alive and well. She begain to replay past events and everything seemed to be there. She was remembering. She couldnt go through it all. 11 some years of memories would take a long time, but what she did go back to find was there. She focused on the moment in the ship where she felt cared for by Na'an and Leigh. The feelings everything from that moment was still there. It all seemed to be there, and it at least seemed right. Better... Thank you, Adelle...She let the name hang there, 99% sure that was the right name. But she was still somewhat afraid that she had lost everything. What... Was that? I have never not remembered something... I tried to and I couldn't make my head remember it. I couldn't focus... It was so much! How did you not experience it? Or was it just against me? She began to rebuild her defenses, worried that someone was after her now. She looked around taking in all of her surroundings quickly.

The storm stopped but that didn't comfort Kent much. It had made her forget things. How could she ever know if it was all back? If she had forgotten one thing how much else could she have lost? Those questions began to bury themselves in Kent's already not entirely stable psyche. Still on the ground, she was no longer trembling, but was mumbling.I don't remember... I don't remember... She looked up hoping for help. There was a voice above her that was trying. She took it its owner. It was a little girl. Who, to Kent's eyes, couldn't have been older than 7. But is was someone. No something is wrong... the attack... it made me forget... I... I don't remember.

Untrained and unprepared the storm spread to Kent. The Teenager collapsed to the ramp. What!!!!! What is this!!!? It was pain, she was aware enough to know she wasn't in any physical danger but there was fear and pain and agony. None of it hers but she felt it all. Someone make it stop, make it stop, make it stop! She tried to think of a time she had felt something like this before, and she couldn't remember. The storm through off her thoughts. Now the fear was coming from Kent, her eyes wide. She couldn't remember. The one constant in her life was missing at the moment. Terror gripped the girl. She roled down the ramp to the feet of the little girls. She looked up for help, but only saw Morgans young eyes.

That I can do, not sure what I will be able to tell them, but I will do what I can. The girl took her seat in the copilot chair and watched the droid work. There where so many questions she wanted to ask, about Leigh. She knew they didn't have the time and she doubted the droid would have the patience. So she sat and waited. And she watched and learned

Kent thought that she should leave Adelle and Na'an to Elly. She mustared up the courage to offer help to Leigh. If nothign else, she could help get this old ship on the ground. At best, it could be a new start for her and the big droid. She made her way to the cockpit. Hi, I... um... Was wondering if you needed any help taking us down? I mean, Na'an and Adelle seem busy and I thought maybe I could help or something... Or I can go wait back in the hold. Wherever you want me...

Kent had taken the days to prepare fro what she was about to undertake. She was in brand new territory, being around people she didn't need to be on the defensive against. She had avoided the droid, and had tried to limit conversations to the basics with Na'an and Adelle. Thinking on what each had already talked to her. Instead she focused on herself. For the first time in a decade, she slept without fear and got good rest. She showered and got truly clean. And she did her hair. Though that doesn't sound like much, it was freeing for her. She rarely got to to look like she wanted, and be beautiful in her eyes. When given the opportunity she would get dolled up to someone else's idea of beauty to manipulate them, but even that was few and far in between. There weren't many chances to make yourself look beautiful in the refugee sector. She finaly let her guard down.

Kent eats until she is full, then passes out on the table. The position would be uncomfortable for most, but the teenager could take it. The ship slowly coming out of hyperspace didnt even stir her. The touch Na'an had given her earlier bring memories back in the form of dreams. She saw her parents, from before the attack. She felt warm re feeling it all, it was her happiest moment.

once you get established a bit, I think Kent and your guy may have some fun stuff to do. If we can make it work. My character is about to start training, light side though.

Yay!! i am not the new kid anymore! I have been on the sight for almost half a year and love it. The people are friendly and everyone is willing to help. If you have specific questioons you can message most anyone and they will help you.
There are forcies everywhere. Light, dark, and gray.
My main character is 15 and she just learned of her abilities. She has always been lucky and had good instincts. The other thing i have had her do, when she really needs something to happen, it does. She doesn't realize she made trash fall out to give her the distraction she needed, just thinks its nice it did.
Other thing to decide is are you here for a game, IE someone can beat you, or are you here to tell stories with others. I and most the people i writ with i think go with the story angle.

Kent downs the cup of liquid without flinching. Thanks for the warning, but i have gotten use to worse. She takes the protein bar and mixes it with her cheesy slop of a snack. Thanks for that too. i don't mind things that are good for me, but i do try to take advantage when i get something that tastes good.
I wasn't planning on it, eavesdropping. However, when the opportunity arises, and gives you a chance for information, it is best to seize it.
I am Kent, i am guessing you are Adelle? Some kind of doctor or something? Na'an didn't elaborate.
She wasn't coming off like a smart mouth, just a teenager with way to much life experience. Kent looks at her reflection in a polished cooling unit. She sees why everyone was so concerned with her eating and getting vitamins. It had been nearly a month since she had any real nutrition, it was showing. Hair, pretty still but not as shiny and full as it should be, fingernails weak, eyes not glistening. She had been better, also had been worse. Believe it or not, I normally look better than this... Normally you can't tell I am a street r...She had never really admitted that she was a street rat to anyone, even her self. She stumbles unable to get it out.

Kent hears the entire conversation bouncing off the bulkheads out of the not closed door. She listens to it all gathering information.
She was trying to manipulate the situation a little. It was how she knew to survive. Kent would have to watch herself. She knew that she was supposed to learn from Na'an, and if that was the case, the big droid was coming too. Kent didn't want the droid to hate her, she would have to show Leigh that she was of use. That she was more than just walking manipulation.

The grasp... It was a feeling of comfort, true care. Even Kent had trouble remembering what it was like. It had been most of her life since she had felt it last. Not much more than a toddler. Its warmth filler her, replaced the darkness. She got up silently taking the bottle, and began to walk out.
For a reason she couldn't explain or understand, Kent stopped before she left the cockpit. Without warning she turned and hugged Na'an, and then hugged Liegh.
Thank you.
She spoke meekly and quietly, then left the cockpit. The door on the old ship wasn't what it once was and didn't close all the way so conversations could be heard. Kent walked to the galley and made a small snack.

Kent started to listen to the voice that had come into her head, it was saying what she was already thinking. It had her drinking it up. Something broke the focus and she was able to think, with all her mind was capable of.. It reminded her of what had actually happened and brought her out of a land of emotion."And if Vidalu Na'an intended to merely make use of you, she would not be taking you to Felucia." The dome flickered again, taking in the girl's withdrawn posture, the stubborn, isolated curl of her spine. "Or giving you a choice as to whether to stay there." Read more: boards.jedivsith.com/thread/156/hyperspace?page=9#ixzz3pRVx7wn0Na'an had never promised anything, and she only let Kent go as far as the girl wanted too. She hadn't approached Kent. Kent slowed things down and began to think things through. She realized what was happening. She was having a breakdown, what she had put off had come to a head. This situation was not a problem. She had gotten through this before, even if it was just putting it off. This was nothing. These people didn't owe her anything. She was strong and she was used to being alone. She had this. And you are just offering the answers? I think not. Even when I am emotional, I still have my brain. And with that I see through you.The revelation lit a fire inside her. The light began to grow again. Nothing was really resolved but there was an opening to put it off again, that was enough. Slowly the shaking stopped, and the girl calmed.

Oh I can tell. But... Kent wanted to be sarcastic. She wanted to be a jerk and hateful to the droid that had only shown her contempt. This was what she wanted to do, but she couldn't. She could think of many things to say but she couldn't bring herself to say any of it. You know what? Whatever! You will get what you want soon. She is going to drop me off on some planet with more people I don't know. Who only want to use me for some gain. But that's what you wanted. Well you probably wanted to just leave me on the moon to take the blame for the fight. Its fine. I am fine. She sits down in the chair behind and to Leigh's right. She didn't want to be a jerk. Had had put on a face, a brave facade, for so long. She just couldn't do it anymore. She just wanted to be accepted by someone, anyone. After ten years of being brave and pretending like nothing ever got to her, the girl finally broke. She curled up in her chair and just wished it was all over.
Everything she had pushed aside and refused to feel came back at once. She never realized how much doubt, how much fear, how much pain she was keeping at bay. It all came in at once. Here now, not having to take care of herself it all came on her. The hope and joy that had defined her shrank back. The light that had pressed against the sith earlier in the night began to shrink, replaced by the darkness she had kept at bay for years. All of this was done in silence, she just shook subtly why this all happened internally.
