So political thoughts and such aside, I thought this'd be best place to ask, but, there any masters of masquerade out there? The subpower of Force illusion that basically lets one mask their appearance? If so, would you be up for a teaching RP? I figured I haven't done a ton of the one-on-one stuff, and thought it could also be a neat opportunity to write with someone I don't usually write with. The student in question would be Morgan, who once exhibited the ability through extreme circumstances. Figured it'd be nice if that ability could be developed a bit, particularly with someone who would actually know the ability.
If anyone's up for it, let me know.

As far as the fleet things, I've actually always been writing them as belonging to a separate military group that was affiliated with Aerandir, with their own NPC commander and everything, so for me, that's nothing different. Whether or not I could have all those guys suddenly become part of a big GA taskforce thing I'll have to think about, but they've been an independent group pretty much.

*It was the day at last.**Today, he would be wed. After many years, of service to the Jedi, of rebuilding a planet, of sustaining an Academy, of wars and battles, of raising a family, of allowing his relationship to blossom and reveal its true potential, all of that would culminate in this moment, the binding of two souls in harmonious union. And really, it was about time, too. Why Aerandir hadn't been able to see it sooner, that they were meant to be together, he'd never know.
Aerandir was not big on large ceremonies. It was something he knew he had to do for some occasions with his status as a Jedi Councilor, but that didn't mean he had to enjoy the concept. Fortunately, Cassie seemed to share his feelings, and they settled on a private ceremony with family and close friends within the Gardens of the Jedi Base. A section of the Gardens was set aside for the ceremony, with several chairs set up, a carpet dividing the aisle between the rows, and a dais with an arch overhead for where the engaged couple would make their vows.
Of course, all the family was invited, and close friends that lived within the Jedi Base, such as Bix and his sister Shells, Tom Klanzo, Raven Alora, even Morgan's friend Ethan. There were many others the couple wished could be there, but they were distant, and they hadn't kept in contact for some time. But they proceeded as planned, Aerandir appointing Bix as his best man, and Cassie allowing Michelle, Annabelle, and Shells to be bridesmaids. Morgan and Jake acted as flower girl and ringbearer, respectively. Tom served double honors of walking Cassie down the aisle and even conducting the ceremony.
The scene was very tranquil, very calming, which was good for Aerandir's nerves. He stood upon the dais, dressed in a clean and formal set of Jedi robes, hands folded in front of him, looking out over the gathering. The dais and arch were set beneath the shade of olive- and orange-leaved trees, and a stream trickled beside the gathering, creating a lovely ambiance. The sun glittered through the foliage, casting crystal lights upon the ground and those gathered. Bix stood beside him, off the podium, while the bridesmaids stood to the other side, looking pretty in their nice dresses. Jake and Morgan, also dressed up, had already made their way down the aisle, and were standing to either side of the dais; Jake to the right with himself and Bix, and Morgan to the left, with the girls. Morgan held her basket of flower petals before her with a sweet smile, while Jake diligently held up the pillow bearing the rings.
They were both so adorable.
Aerandir smiled, but the nerves were back as Tom appeared with Cassie. He tried not to grimace, and was successful; after all, this was a happy moment. But also one of the biggest of his entire life. He tried to ignore his nerves by just watching Cassie, looking beautiful in her elegant dress, and heck, even Tom looked handsome in his black suit. And he seemed to be playing the role of the father well, for he had a strange mix of pride and restrained sadness on his expression. But after all, the man had known them for years, and he had been like a father to them.
Tom walked her down the aisle, helping her up onto the podium before ascending it himself, going around the pair as though not wanting to separate Aerandir and Cassie for the briefest moment. Aerandir and Cassie had their eyes locked upon each other's as she'd proceeded down the aisle. He unfolded his hands and offered them to her, and she took them. Tom began the ceremony, giving a very heartwarming speech about love and unions, but was not devoid of humor, joking that it took the bride and groom "long enough" to make it here. Vows were given, "I dos" were said, Jake offered the rings when requested and they were placed upon each other's fingers. And when all was said and done...*=Tom=You may kiss the bride. *Aerandir embraced Cassie, pulling her towards him and kissing her. As she returned the kiss and embrace, the gathered applauded for them. Jake had to tuck the pillow under one arm so he could clap, but he dropped it and quickly scooped it up, looking slightly embarrassed. When the newly-married couple separated, Aerandir smiled, whispering so that only she could hear.*We're finally here. *She smiled back, saying nothing, but she didn't need to: Her expression said it all.
Now that the ceremony was complete, the gathering began to disperse. The newlywed couple thanked everyone for coming, the guests congratulated them. There was no reception afterward, but they agreed it was for the better, as it was already a private ceremony and, while marriage was always a reason to celebrate, they agreed that it would be best to let the couple spend the rest of the day together. The setting was taken down and the materials stored away, and the section of the Gardens where the wedding took place was once again populated only by natural life.
And so began a new chapter in the life of Aerandir Calmcacil...*Welcome to JvS 2.0.

Hey, I made that one. D:< I dunno, if someone's clever enough, there could be a few "good" memes coming out of JvS. Then there was this thread.

I'm actually surprised to see that the Coruscant Jedi Temple doesn't already exist, considering it is a canon location... As far as the usergroup thing, I'm wondering myself how the Whills are changing up usergroup requirements. I think I remember Chill mentioning they were going to rethink the restrictions based around multiple usergroups and requesting them, or something, so we'll see how that plays out.

Another quick suggestion: Is it possible to make it so that we have to click the actual shoutbox button to bring up the shoutbox, rather than include the blank space to the right of it as well? Just a minor nuisance, really, but something I thought was worth asking.

Random thing I noticed: When I try to search, results aren't turning up beyond a certain time now. I can't pinpoint when, I'd estimate about 24 hours ago is when the cutoff seems to be. Is this a bug? Did I hit some setting by mistake when searching or in my profile settings? I don't think I hit anything while searching, since I tried multiple times while completely reloading the search bar. Did searching just get unindexed, or is Proboards just being dumb?

If at all possible, could I get the Jedi Safe Haven (formerly Jedi Academy of Belkadan) remade on this site's version of Belkadan? It would just be a single thread request, though I'd like its own forum to go with it if possible, since I probably had far more topics than were necessary anyway. I originally had a story I wanted to carry out there before the original site's crash, and even made a post that was wiped due to the crash. That, and the Jedi Academy had been RP'd there since 1.0, and it would mean a lot to me if it could be carried over into the site's new incarnation. If approved, I'd like the forum (if applicable) to just be named "Jedi Safe Haven," and the topic title the same. The thread description would be as follows: Please and thank you! And if you feel this request can't be granted, I understand completely.

Never really found any of them terrifying, but I threw up a vote for Reyn since he's easily the most badass, so close enough.

Voted for Dark Green, Dark Blue, and Purple. Dark Blue because the main blue is blinding, Dark Green because it's not JvS without a green theme (preferably a darker one so as to ensure we avoid the blinding problem but that's the option you gave so no issue there), and purple because dammit, purple's an awesome color.

So far, it's seemed that the old codes we're used to work, but the site converts them to something else. So you're probably safe to stick with the old codes if you'd like, though I don't deny the usefulness of a guide for the stuff.
Also, one thing I noticed: Notification markers in the silver theme are dark ad hard to read. Any way to make those stay red like on the default theme, or maybe a brighter color?

Just tried both of them, and both look great! Much easier on the eyes than the blue. I think I'm gonna stick with silver. Thanks Chill!

When was Talon brought on as Knight-advisor to the council? I wasn't aware of Talon being there.....I could just be misinformed. He was the very first Knight-Advisor.

Don't forget Talon Frost as Knight Advisor, unless you know something we don't regarding his potential return.
