Behold I have returned!
Abstaining from voting on the government thing... I foresee terrible things happening with that.
Kahn, Ji'kasahdajfghd (oh, J'likso, sorry), welcome to the Jedi fold. I see Mer's already brought out the cookies. This is as good a place as any to find Masters/Knights to train padawans so feel free to chat and get a feel for whom you might be comfortable writing.

Medical staff busied themselves around the hospital bed of a Jane Doe transferred from a hospital on Coruscant. The woman's injuries were severe at best; the fact that she still breathed was miraculous. The Coruscanti staff had tried to remove the strange black armor she wore, to no avail. The mutilation and electrical burns on the woman's right forearm attested to the difficulty and futility of forcibly removing the armor. Blood seeped from slashes in the armor on the abdomen and face. Scans revealed multiple fractures and broken bones, and the report from Coruscant detailed high concentrations of Devaronian blood poison found in her system. The havoc the injuries and poison created had forced the Coruscanti staff to induce a coma in order to keep the woman from going further into shock.
One of the medical technicians retrieved a com-link.
Paging Dr. Shaewe to the ER. Dr. Shaewe to the ER.
Dirty and caked in her own blood, the Jane Doe had resurfaced after a six month absence. Adelle Bastiel had returned.

Leaves whispered in slight breezes and the sun warmed the earth. Screams echoed in the halls. Ambient sounds of life rippled all around her. Pain blinded her as she fought to escape. The Force, amplified through the teeming life surrounding her, swirled in strong currents, pulling and pushing. Someone called out her name. Where was she?
Kory. Stop daydreaming. I gave you an assignment. Kory opened her eyes and looked down at the dark tunnels sentients used as streets. What was she doing again? Hunting, right. What else would she be doing? Sometimes there were days when she thought that she lived two different lives, like one mind inhabiting two very different bodies in two separate realities. Kory slipped from the hole in the building as silent as a shadow and melted into the many faces that called this level home. With mercs and bounty hunters prowling around all the time, it wasn't unusual to see someone clad from head to toe in armor. The voice in her ear spoke again. You still with me?
Adelle opened her eyes and stared up at the Felucian sky. She felt tired, and even though meditation supposedly helped center one's self, she felt very disoriented. What was she supposed to be doing? She remembered having a purpose but things felt foggy. As if she'd just woke up from a dream. Adelle uncrossed her legs then stood and headed inside. Oh well. Maybe food would spark her memory.

*Morgan had not intended to completely knock Kory over onto the floor, and she would have apologized had Kory seemed to mind. Instead, she only seemed happy to see Morgan, which made Morgan all the happier. She grinned at the observation of her ability to knock people over and snuggled her mama, but, upon realizing that the floor wasn't the best place to have a reunion, got off of her to let her up.*I didn't mean to, honest! Terra smiled and got up."OK!" She followed Jake to where Morgan and Kory were standing and she giggled again when Jake inevitably went red as a tomato. Well that was only a matter of time.
She smiled at Morgan."Care to introduce us, Morgan?" *As Morgan got off of Kory to let her up, Jake and Terra appeared, Jake greeting her with a compliment before blushing profusely. Morgan giggled and grinned, then looked up at Terra, who was smiling at her and asking her to introduce them. Oh right, introductions. Morgan looked between Terra and Kory.*Terra, this is my mama, Kory. Kory, this is Terra. She's my friend! Reassurance had been on the tip of her tongue when Morgan's twin brother and another young woman walked up. Morgan was quick to correct the societal misstep after the young woman's, Terra's, remonstrance. Adelle stood up, as gracefully as she could in her dress—there was no such thing as "free range of motion" in it, and extended a hand towards Terra."It's a pleasure to meet you," she said.

Adelle was on the ground before she knew what had happened. She coughed and wheezed, trying to regain her breath. You'd think after all her writer puts her through, she'd be used to pain. Something small and solid constricted itself around her abdomen and after a second or two, Adelle realized it was supposed to be a hug. And then she put two and two together . . . which makes four, but that's besides the point. Morgan was here. Even though she was on the floor in formal wear, Adelle didn't care. She hugged Morgan back tightly.
"Sorry about that," Adelle said. She grinned crookedly at Morgan. "I see you've not lost your talent for knocking people over."

Adelle slipped in quietly, letting all the hubbub conceal her. Like as not, no one would have noticed anyway. Dressed in something appropriately classy and slinky, she made her way to the bar and ordered a strong drink.

Several minutes passed while Leigh waited for a response; she realized that Na'an needed time, she hadn't expected an immediate response, but still, for her.. It was quite the wait. Finally, though, she started untensing. Leigh's projected face adopted a comforting smile, glad that the girl was finally letting herself relax..
And then she spoke, and Leigh realized that something was definitely off. That was not Na'an's voice; she didn't even recognize it. She knew about Cao's situation, with another mind inside his head, but the voice remained the same. This, though.. This was unusual. She blinked, confused.
"..It is. Who are you?" Na'an's eye blinked owlishly back. "I'm Tyrono Parr. 'Scuse me." The girl's body sat up swiftly, and with a single push against the droid's metallic body was upright and brushing dust off her tunic. "I'm not surprised you don't know about me. You seem to be a Shan product, and none of the Shans ever bothered to ask many questions. Not that she ever made it easy...damned kid even kept me out for a while." There was no other effort to explain further; rather, the man's voice did not seem to be in the habit of explaining himself often. Instead, he focused on the door, sending Na'an's thin fingers dancing across the access pad. "Heh. You'd think they'd change the access codes once in a while." Na'an's thumb skated across the pad, and the door opened again to reveal Adelle on the other side. "Hello, miss. You're a medical professional, am I correct?" The man who called himself Tyrono Parr held out Na'an's hand, a disarming smile spread across her face. "Don't be alarmed, I'm here to help with the diagnosis, since it's a little more complicated than Na'an thought. Tell me, are you familiar with schizophrenics?" The door opening woke her up. It had to have only been a minute or two since Leigh went into the room, but damn, she felt like she'd gone into REM for a bit. Adelle rubbed at her eyes and stood up as Vidalu approached.
Then the young woman spoke.
What the kriff? Adelle blinked at Vidalu. And blinked again. That . . . That wasn't how Vidalu spoke. This . . . speaker, for lack of a better word, was someone different. Someone new. What the hell was going on? She'd seen and played a part in some crazy stuff but this took the ryshcate. Without hesitation, the speaker addressed her and asked a question, clearly expecting an answer. Adelle opened her mouth to respond but nothing happened. Words, dammit, use your words! Her brain seemed to get the message and began functioning again."Beyond the texts I've read, I have no experience with schizophrenics," she said finally. She'd let the "medical professional" thing slide. "Is that what's wrong?" Belatedly, she—and consequently her writer—remembered that the speaker had held out his—her?—hand. She took it and shook it, a little awkwardly. Force, how long had it been since she'd met someone that shook hands instead of bowed or actually acknowledged her presence with more than a nod? Too long, if this was how she felt.

Something gnawed at the back of her mind, violent and insistent. Adelle did not outwardly show any sign of this but rather opened herself up to the current of the Force and the emotions of the human beings—well, beings, in any case—near her. Blood. She could smell its metallic tang on the air. And sweat. Not of honest perspiration from exercise or the sweetly-sick odor of nervousness or fear, but a peculiar scent all its own, undeniably sweat but impossible to pin down. A ripple of unease disturbed the Force around Vidalu; she was the source. Adelle racked her brain for a way to approach the sudden change. Tired though she was, she was a Healer and could not say no.
Adelle spun around only to see the door close in their face. Well, this was . . . odd, to say the least. The Healer's words echoed in her head: violent instability. Had she accidentally triggered an episode? Kriff her to Corellia's nine hells.
The robot—Leigh—gestured for her to wait. As if Adelle had any notions of entering the vague personal boundaries set. Vidalu wanted to be alone; Adelle would let her for the time. She wasn't about to force anything onto her. She moved to lean against the sturdy stone wall as Leigh entered the room and closed her eyes. Just for a moment. Just long enough to rest.

"Just Adelle," she said, waving aside the droid's offer for assistance. "The pleasure's mine, Leigh."
Well, this certainly made things even more interesting. A droid that could holographically emulate emotions spoke of vast resources. And yet the young woman was supposed to be a former Jedi, with no real resources to her name. Adelle hobbled out into the hallway, leading the way to the guest quarters.
"I must ask that we not engage in discussions immediately," she said to the young woman. "I'm... a little tired."

Pain. (peyn) noun
1. physical suffering or distress, as due to injury, illness, etc. 2. a distressing sensation in a particular part of the body. 3. mental or emotional suffering or torment.
Adelle was in it. Her will had weakened long ago and her body pulsed with the effects of shock.
Doctors, nurses, and technicians moved, stood, and worked with tired practice. Too many times the monitors displaying vital signs toned, thin lines streaming across the screen as flat as a piece of flimsy. Too many times, doctors tried and failed to energize life into their patients. Loss kept the Force rippling here.
Doctor Ymos It'Kla scanned the injuries of the Jedi as his current aides helped clear the affected areas of dirt and scorched fabric. He glanced back down at his datapad, reading over the quick notes their makeshift triage had been able to throw together. Severe burns, probably from napalm... Poor girl would be disfigured the rest of her life. Rapid pulse, but blood pressure was low and steadily continued to drop. Purple tinged the fingernails and the edges of the Jedi's lips. Signs of hypothermia. Shallow breathing. Clammy skin. Diagnosis: hypovolemic shock.
=Dr. It'Kla= "Someone get an IV and blood. I need a dose of epinephrine and norepinephrine."
A couple of aides rushed off to do his bidding and returned with surprising speed. Maybe this time, It'Kla hoped. Maybe this time they could save a life. The burns still posed a problem. All the bacta tanks were occupied. Kolto wouldn't work, bacta was more powerful, and thus, necessary for her healing. Bacta patches might work but they had a limited supply of those. Well, that couldn't be helped until they could get supplies. He pointed at an aide.
=Dr. It'Kla= "Get some bacta patches on those burns. And get her some oxygen!"
It'Kla looked back at the Knight's vital signs. No change, but it was too soon after the injections to be sure. One of the nurses spread a light blanket over the uninjured side of the Jedi to stop the progression of hypothermia. Much as he wanted to see the vital signs change, needed to see them change, he had other patients to treat and check on.
Minutes felt like hours here, and It'Kla found himself in front of the Jedi again after what seemed like an eternity. They had lost one more, received at least three more severely injured, and ran out of dopamine, which was another of those invaluable drugs that helped stop shock. It'Kla's stern gaze stared at the vitals, willing them to even out. Heart rate had slowed just a touch and blood pressure was up a few points. Breathing was still shallow, however, and the purple tinge hadn't yet gone away. But she was stable. It'Kla bit his lip and frowned. One of the aides monitoring the IV drip and blood transfusion threw a questioning look at him.
=Dr. It'Kla= "Keep a sharp eye on those vitals. We don't need to lose another one."
Not again.
