Ever since their return from Vortex some days ago, the condition of the Sand Panther Squadron's injured captain had been on Kel'Al's mind. The Jedi Master had inquired several times as to the patient's condition, but the reports hadn't changed much, and the young Corellian had gone back to his other duties, resigned to the fact that Lt. Witwer would be in no condition to entertain his proposal for a few more days, at least. Now, however, either because he could sense the returning energy in the man, or because he sensed the presence of Head Master Roma in the area of the infirmary, or for some other subtle nudge of the Force, Kel found his steps taking him once more in the direction of the injured fighter jock.
Passing a conference room in the Academy's residential dormitory, the green-robed master suddenly stopped and did a double-take as he caught sight of Cal, upright, and three other Jedi, among them Serrin Roma. It seemed his urging had been more than mere guilt over the man's condition and his own inability to help -- something important actually was happening. Reaching out one clenched finger, Kel rapped softly on the door jamb, and took a small step into the room, a disarming smile creasing his face. There was no sign remaining of the false beard and makeup he had worn on Vortex, and his face was as clean (and clean-shaven) as it had been before his assumption of the dirty scrap dealer persona.

Kel'Al had just stepped into the High Council Spire's main lift from the hangar levels, and was taking his first breath of fresh, filtered air not polluted by the exhaust fumes of hundreds of years' worth of starships when his comlink chimed twice. Flipping the device over in his hand as he drew it from the green sash tied around his waist, he was surprised to see a message from Master Devlin Dewe, one of the High Councilors with whom he had hoped to speak. Given the nature of his business, the Corellian Master had not announced the purpose of his arrival, and he was concerned for a split second. But the message proved to be unrelated -- summoning him to a meeting, although its purpose was not fully stated.
Apparently, during his time incommunicado on Vortex, he had missed other important Jedi business. The young man's brow furrowed as his sense of precognition almost prickled with Force energy. The meeting itself was for a positive reason, he felt sure, but some weighty matter almost hung over the Temple, now that he was listening for it. With a sigh, he stared upward, willing the lift to rise faster.
At last, with a tiny ping, the lift car slowed to a noiseless halt, and the doors slid open with a whoosh. A cool breeze entered the car, and luxurious carpeting stretched out before him, leading toward the hallowed doors of the High Council chambers. It was at this point in his trip that Kel'Al had been unsure how next to proceed, as he did not wish to simply burst in uninvited, and there might or might not have been anyone in the hallway with whom he could clear his presence. But the invitation from Councilor Dewe has erased that problem, and so the young Corellian strode confidently into the Council Chamber on silent feet, his traditional green robes swirling slightly as he passed a cooling vent.

Just a single thread in addition to the Courtyard thread, please. I don't anticipate it seeing enough traffic to warrent a separate forum.

Reason for Request: Featured in the prequels; has been a popular vacation spot for JvS PCs; Naboo's senator in the Republic is a member of the Naberrie family and I had been using Varykino as her "home" when not on Coruscant. Name of Location: Varykino Location Map:Mid Rim ->Naboo -->Lake Country --->Varykino Link to Planet: jedivsith.boards.net/board/207/nabooDescription: Varykino, also known as the Lake Retreat, was the name of the island in a lake at the Lake Country of Naboo that consisted of the Naberrie family's retreat house. Generally, the name "Varykino" was also applied to the villa itself. Convergence, the ancestral home of House Palpatine, was situated at some distance from Varykino. Completed and Archived

Kel'Al Raganella guided his sleek, green and white Corellian Tracer neatly through the exact center of the Jedi Temple's wide hangar bay, then angled slightly to the left, and touched down between a Horizon-class star yacht and another empty landing pad. There was a soft hiss of air as the engines began their cool-down process, and a tiny pop as the Jedi pilot released his viewscreen, and pushed it up, letting in the mildly fresher, but exhaust-poluted, air of the hangar.
As he tossed his pilot's helmet over his shoulder into the empty cockpit and straightened the outer tunic of green Corellian robes, Kel'Al could sense the presence of many Jedi Masters, some of them quite familiar. He was surprised. He had come to brief the Jedi Council on his recent undercover visit to Vortex, but it seemed that a gathering or meeting of Jedi was taking place for some other reason. Signalling to R2-D7 to see to refueling the starfighter, Kel set off toward the Temple entrance with quickened steps.

A trim, green and white Corellian Tracer sliced through the half-lit sky, shining brightly as it caught the rays of the Coruscant system's Prime star. The sleek starfighter banked slightly, braking gently as it slowed from hyperspeed and approached the planet. Within the cockpit bubble, the Jedi stirred from his meditation trace as the proximity alarm sounded, and was quickly joined in a duet by a stream of binary chatter from the Corellian's faithful astromech, Sev. Kel cracked a grin. "It's alright, Sev. I'm awake. Now let's see if the boys planet-side are. I'm sure we're already late."
Adjusting the microphone headset built into his flight helmet, the Jedi pilot selected a standard Republic traffic control channel. Coruscant control, this is Jedi Master Kel'Al Raganella requesting landing clearance for the Jedi Temple. He identified himself. The process did not take long, and moments later, his hands were once more gripping the controls tightly as he eased the starfighter down, down, through a sea of traffic and toward the spires of the Temple far below.

Good, now I can get in on this. Hey Kel -- I'm here, as is Serrin / Raksha... do you need us? I'd very much like to shoot at things... -Cal I like the sound of that! Um, I'm probably not going to be here much until the second week of May, but after that, I have a blank slate. I'll be in touch then.

I'm going to be too busy to participate for another few weeks, but I'm still here. Likewise for Senator Alyse Naberrie of Naboo and my other Republic NPCs.
