Well, I believe Byss was archived because one of the reason being that the planet was destroyed. So was Sernpidal. If I recall correctly these worlds were archived cause they were destroyed in Legends. However, on the flip side, Alderaan and Carida were repurposed as 'New Alderaan' (which is Canon) and 'New Carida' which is not. According to the same Legends, Malachor V was ultimately destroyed by the actions of Meetra Surik. If Byss and Sernpidal were archived for the same reason, which I think I am right about (at least part of the reason), doesn't the same then apply for Malachor V? As we are going off the Legacy Era timeline, it is safe to say, in my view, that Malachor is not still a planet, but completely destroyed according to the actions performed in KOTOR II.
Now, true, who doesn't like a little risk and what not. But in my views, considering that Malachor V was destroyed in Legends, we could still have the planet exist if we adopted Malachor from Disney Canon. There is still a risk nonetheless, even without the gravitational issues. It is a mysterious world with deep Sith connections, who knows what lies on its barren surface or what lies within its Temples. A superweapon petrified Sith and Jedi alike near the temple (if memory serves correctly).
Hope I answered your question to the best of my ability.

The First Order, known as the Empire within and beyond its boundaries, were among the first to establish an embassy within the Negotium of the immense space station, Oasis. The Imperial's allies were few and this neutral location seemed ideal for people to better understand the Empire as well as cultivate relations. Still, the Emperor suspected there would be those who weren't happy with the presence of his nation upon the station nonetheless. Whatever the risk, Nicademus committed to the initiative and opened negotiations with the leadership of the Oasis.
When the negotiations proved successful, several ships, escorted by smaller armed vessels, arrived outside of the Oasis, carrying with them necessary materials and personnel for the Imperial Embassy to be made. After purchasing an ideal spot, within the space station, the location was properly furbished and occupied within a couple short weeks. The Imperial Ambassador, assigned to this location, was Baron Gavyn Hedsard, a middle-aged veteran of the Imperial Civil Services and, formerly, Moff of Entralla, a planet within the core territories of the First Order. Likely any Imperial, Gavyn had some military experience, namely in the Army, but found a greater desire for politics and management, resulting in his transfer to Imperial Civil Services and, eventually, his Moffship. Nicademus trusted Baron Hedsard with this position in order to promote the cultivated image of the Empire to the wider galaxy, establish new relations, and keep his ears out. While most of the personnel, within the Embassy staff, were members of the Imperial Civil Service and Diplomatic Corps, there were a few agents of Imperial Intelligence that were hidden in plain sight. Several Stormtrooper squads were assigned to guard the location and patrol its corridors. These soldiers kept to the vicinity of the Embassy, as per their orders, since security beyond it was handled by the space station's personnel.
As a result of its location, Imperial businesses from the Empire began to sprout up, ranging from mercantile guilds of Brentaal IV to fresh caf from the planet of Garqi. All done to promote Imperial commerce and, hopefully, lure people in for business and perhaps relations. There were even representatives from the major banking worlds of Aargau and Muunilinst, with a strong presence of the trading clans of Brentaal IV and Taris. In addition, major companies, from Imperial territories, came to the Oasis to set up offices. Among the many that produced arms, technology, ships, and more, for the Empire, there was Balmorran Arms, Kuat Drive Yards, and Rendili StarDrive that set up shop within what would become known as the Imperial District, the area that was immediately centered around, and in close proximity, to the Imperial Embassy.

Jenia's question was reasonable. Nicademus suspected there were others that thought of the same, but weren't as bold as the newly appointed Grand Admiral was in this instance. The holoimage of the Xyston remains before all at the Moff Council, allowing Nicademus to key the console slightly, allowing for more specs to appear, some of which would answer Jenia's question.
The Xyston project is utilizing the strong frame work of the ISD and the Allegiance class warships. My researchers and architects have assured me that this ship will prove to be the better of the two, in comparison with the Mandator IV dreadnought. The Xyston armament is more powerful. Whereas the Mandator IV is severely lacking, thus requiring a significant escort in order for the vessel to be effective.
Whoever had been behind the Mandator IV project had... well, mysteriously vanished for lack of a better label. The Mandator IV had proven to be a good model for besieging worlds, but the Sack of Mon Calamari showed its ineffective role as a warship. As a result, these Siege Dreadnoughts were not pleasing to the Emperor. This resulted in the Storm Dreadnought variant, which were proving to be quite the concept in the Imperial Military Research department.
Thanks to our Kyber Crystal mines on Mygeeto and Ilum as well as a lesser extent on Dantooine, we have been able to gather proper resources to power the Xyston's hunger for power. Technological advancements have also been focused around harnessing the power effectively, thus making this new warship an effective battle cruiser. I have little doubt that its performance will outshine the Mandator IV.
The Emperor hoped these answers would be sufficient to Grand Admiral Kasalle.

So, something I noticed rather recently, and never realized after KOTOR II, was that the planet of Malachor V was completely destroyed by the actions of Meetra Surik. As a result, the planet no longer exists save for the mentions of debris explored by archaeological and biological teams in 3640 BBY. However, thanks to Disney, the planet has remained alive, as simply the name of Malachor. The planet was first seen in the Star Wars Rebels tv series as a whole planet, untouched by the actions of the then Jedi Revan during the Mandalorian Wars in Legends. It still serves the purpose of a mysterious world in the Outer Rim, where an ancient Sith temple resides. It seems that a superweapon still exists, on this planet, but was utilized at a much earlier time. With this in mind, the Whills have deleted/archived planets that were labeled as destroyed in Legends (such as Byss) while others were simply renamed and moved (such as New Alderaan and New Carida). Malachor, both in Legends and Canon, is a very prominent Sith world. I do not feel that it should be archived, but rather altered by adopting the Disney Canon version. This way its purpose is still served, but in a ways, its a new planet to explore. Its a different Malachor than what we know from the KOTOR titles and Legends. So I put this request to the Whills to ask for this change.

Well, now that my life has returned to a sense of normalcy, I will (tentatively) say that I am back. And I see that the proper capital of the galaxy is once again in Imperial possession....Sweet! And the Moff Council has been reinstated, so you can jump in there! And yep, we have Coruscant back! Welcome back, Tien!

Territories of the First Order The Expanses of the Empire The First Order, due in part to military expansion and a lesser degree of diplomacy, has conquered a total of a fourth of the galaxy. Its core territories, at its inception, were the unified Deep Core and what is known as Imperial, or Bastion, Space. This Outer Rim territory was once the foundation of the Pentastar Alignment, the Imperial Remnant, the First Fel Empire, the Phoenix Imperium, and more. Declaring his desire to see the Imperial Sector unified, the then Supreme Commander of the First Order, Nicademus Delvardus, declared the Unification Wars. The conclusion of these campaigns would spark the Third Galactic Civil War upon the battlefield of Dantooine. Further expansions were made through the course of the resurgent Empire's history. A series of campaigns, into the Unknown Region, secured a swath of territory for the Imperials, including the sectors of Chiss Space. However, these territories have been liberated, by the mandate of the Emperor, granting the Chiss their freedom after ensuring their progress from the decadent Ascendancy. The Empire still controls Ilum and Adumar, as well as additional sectors between and around these systems, as footholds within the Unknown Region. During the course of the Third Galactic Civil War, Imperial forces moved south from Imperial Space and north from the Deep Core, striking at a number of targets within the Colonies and Core regions. This saw a swath of territories added to the Empire, including the vital shipyards of Kuat and Rendili, the trade hub of Brentaal IV, cloning facilities of Arkania, and more. These Coreward expansions would come to an end during the galactic war, but would formally be ended when the First Order annexed the galactic core, Coruscant. After the devastating Third Imperial Civil War, it was determined by the reigning Emperor, Octavian Delvardus, to recede the territory of the Empire to better handle the issues and resolve the vacuum of losses incurred by the casualties in manpower, material, and weaponry. As such, the First Order's capital was moved to the strong Imperialist world of Bastion, making it the shining capital of a renewed Empire once more. At its current height, the Empire's territories stretch from parts of the Unknown Regions to the Hydian Way in the Galactic Northwest downward into parts of the Inner Rim where the Imperials maintain outposts, watchpoints, and defensive positions. Capital Region/Oversector- Bastion- Muunilinst- Yaga Minor- Mygeeto- Dantooine - Dubrillion- Agamar (Jointly ruled by Mandalorians of Clan Bralor)Western Borders Oversector- Taris- Dathomir- AnobisSouthern Marches Oversector- Iridonia- Bilbringi- Garqi- ShiliBorderlands Oversector- Adumar- Ilum- Nirauan

Quite the response from Moff Ju'oda, thought Nicademus. It was to be expected though as the Emperor had consulted him, among others, on the matter of slavery's continuation of its end. The abolition of this workforce did cause a momentary reaction. The Imperial suspected it would as many utilized slaves either within their households or within their governorships as a cheap means of labor. The Emperor decides to ensure people get the point.
Those caught, trying to skirt this declaration, may face a number of punishments. The worst of which is execution by firing squad.
This was to show the throne's resolve in seeing this through and ensuring that the slaves were freed.
Coruscant's population needs work! They need to feel like they can belong to our nation and work for the Empire. And I will give them the means by freeing up jobs as well as creating ones once the economy here is stabilized and companies being investing in the capital.
Moving along with the subject...
Now, with that matter settled, on the subject of our economy and the aforementioned Economic Administration, it will take some time for it to be formulated, but I do believe that the best person, for the position of Economical Director, will be Moff Ju'oda. He has shown his skill with Brentaal IV and revitalizing its trade for the Empire. The central government will continue working with the banking clans, the trading guilds, and other companies to ensure that this administration will ensure their economical purpose and role within our territories.
With that concluded, Nicademus moved onto a military matter that had been under wraps for awhile.
As those within Military High Command know, a new flotilla has been added to patrol our Outer Rim holdings. Malleus Squadron is currently under construction at Yaga MInor and I have been assured of its addition being imminent. Once she is launched, Admiral Rendrake will serve as an autonomous command within the Outer Rim sectors, ensuring our hold within the region.
The Imperial then keys the console once more, bringing up the schematics of a new warship, codenamed the Xyston-class Star Destroyer. Its appearance was that of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, but the details betrayed its length was far greater and its armament more numerous. Most notably was an axial superlaser that was attached to its underbelly.
Foerost shipyards has been given the contract to construct the newly crafted Xyston-class Star Destroyer. Imperial Military Research assures me of its capabilities and thus a model is to be created in order to test this warships concept in reality. I am giving supervision, and command, of this vessel to Grand Admiral Garrick Neeeda.
