As Duvrax began walking up to Kotro, Omda had made it to his feet as was quickly upon the black and red Zabrak, bringing both hands down hard against Duvrax’s back. The impact was enough to disrupt his focus, allowing Kotro to unleash himself into the Zabrak protege. First a punch to the gut, followed by one to the face brought Duvrax to his knees. But even after those few, Duvrax responded by sending both fists up hard into the other Zabrak’s chin, letting him stand and bring the fight back to even ground.
Krokaa wasn’t far behind, grabbing hold of Omda right after he hit Duvrax and slung him into the wall. Typically of a calm mind, always seeking the better approach, he allowed the anger to flow through him, deciding that he’d let himself fall into the fight now. They wanted to prove something to them? Well, he’d make sure these older students worked for it.
As Antan worked to try and have his way with Kosrezic, Theranna watched as Kihka held her in place. She cursed herself internally, feeling their actions of walking the halls they way they did caused this. Then again, it might have come to pass anyway. But it didn’t matter now. She couldn’t allow this to happen to her friend or herself. The anger flowing through her, she pulled her left hand away from the Devaronian behind before slamming it hard into her side a couple times. Trying to aim it for the soft spot in her side as learned in their training, she was finally able to break free, letting her turn to face the woman before punching her in the face, the. Sending a kick straight into her mid section.
Kosrezic could feel the anger within her friend and knew that she, too, couldn’t just let herself fall victim to this. She was training to be a Sith warrior. Only a year or not, she had training, so it was time to put it to use. Her position against the wall left her no leverage to use against the man holding her from behind. It was a good thing he was having a hard time even remotely disrobing her. Unable to make headway, his focus was too set on getting what he wanted that he didn’t notice what happened with his partner nor the build up of the Force in Kosrezic. Unleashing it in a Force Push against the wall, the two flew back into the other wall with the Twi’lek’s body slamming into the Human and knocking the wind out of him. Stepping back, Theranna moved beside her as they gazed upon their aggressors, ready to fight back.

Gavin's swift movements to both conflicts kept the situation from devolving further. Merely his presence was enough to stop all actions as both the aggressive parties at both fronts and his own students stopped to look at him. He said nothing, only looking to the other students and sending them on, motioning only with his head with a stern look and motion. Once they had fled, he motioned for his students to follow him.

Standing before the Headmaster was nothing new to her. The pale, blonde haired child continued to stare distantly at the floor while being reprimanded for killing another student out of anger. It hadn't been the first time, and it was unlikely to be the last. The arrogance and superiority of some of the other students would be their downfall, at least in her mind. Even at such an age, she detested such things. Having been raised on Iridonia, by a combination of several caretakers, the Sith'ari was nothing more than rumors. The Headmaster was more real than the fabled 'Dark King'. As the Headmaster continued on with his reprimand, her temper flared at being called a pet, but before she could react, the Sith'ari himself barged in. Immediately recoiling like a kicked animal, the Headmaster bowed his head and apologized for his insolence. The dark robed Zabrak was rather imposing. More so than the tales of him had led her to believe. Even so, she watched the events transpire around her. Though, when the Sith'ari rounded on her, she looked up at him defiantly while he threatened her. Unwavering and unafraid of the person before her, she stubbornly refused to break eye contact with the fierce yellow eyes of the Zabrak... Trailing off, mid-sentence, the Zabrak smirked at the little girl's defiance. He could respect that quality, especially in one so young. Allowing his eyes to scan over the little girl, he spoke to her, still smirking."I sense much defiance in you and no fear, little one. Focus your defiance to anger. Bend it to your will and you will accomplish great things indeed! Fear no one, but remember to show your adversary a modicum of respect. Despite being fools, the Jedi and anyone else who dares challenge us, do so because they believe they can best us. And while most would be wrong in their belief, it can be a powerful tool. Regardless of what you become capable of, remember that your enemy will do everything they can to stop you. You must be prepared to do whatever is necessary to ensure they fail...think on this, little one. We will meet again.."Glancing back at the Headmaster in annoyance, he eyed up the little girl once more with a smirk. She was going to be a handful. But he could see something within her. Something he hadn't seen in a very long time. Perhaps, with time, she could live up to what he envisioned for her...? With that thought, the Sith'ari strode out of the room.

Seeing the Headmaster get berated for his actions was rather humorous, however, when the Sith'ari rounded on her, the humor turned to defiance and anger. And obviously he noticed such defiance, as a smirk appeared upon his tattooed face. Bend my anger to my will...? she thought to herself. She assumed she had been doing that already, but clearly not. Sound advice, at least in her mind. Respect an adversary? That seemed pointless. They were Sith, or Sith in training in her case. They were all powerful! Why would she respect someone who opposed them? But, the next part of the Zabrak's speech did as intended. It made her think. Do whatever it takes to stop her adversary? That seemed obvious, but perhaps there was more to it than she originally thought? Regardless of her personal takeaway of the speech, she certainly was now lost in thought. Clearly the Sith'ari saw something within her that she had yet to find, herself. And that was a promising thought. However, she needed to resume her training and her studies in order to achieve it. As the Zabrak strode out of the room, she turned back to the that the Headmaster had risen to his feet and was looking down upon her. His was was unsettling and she really wished she could see his eyes...

Glaring down upon the young girl from behind his mask, the Headmaster snorted in disgust.
Clearly the Sith'ari sees something within you that no one else does. Respect the rules and protocols within the Academy walls. While we value individuality, it is utterly useless if we go around killing each other. Save it for the day you graduate and are accepted by a master, provided you survive that long...dismissed.
The headmaster waved her away and rounded his desk, seated himself behind it and burying himself in the documents sitting there. Despite her brazen disregard for the rules at the Academy, Arielle was a promising young human. Once she learned that herself, perhaps she would fall into place. If not...well he'd rather not think that far ahead, as it meant defying the Sith'ari. And while he had managed to do so on a few occasions previously, he didn't want to tempt fate more than he had to.

Nidana would find herself wondering the halls of the Academy often when she had free time. She had found a nook that overlooked Iridonia's landscape and on the Horizon loomed the Dark Diamond Palace. Sitting there would give her a place to practice her meditation though her thoughts often drifted to that of her adopted father, whom she had not seen in a long time. But it felt longer to her. The connection they had on their meeting left a deep mark on Nidana. Though she had so far been able to keep this a secret from the rest of the students. She did not want to be seen as a weakness of the Sith'ari. But she would find herself staring at the Black pyramid often from the window, wishing to again be back their in Viox's vault of secrets, so she could learn even more of the Dark Lord.

Geralt, a spry and lanky teenager, had been abducted from Jabiim several years ago. Kidnapped by the very person in control of the Blackguard. While he didn't know the full truth, rumors were always rampant within the Academy. Whether to generate distrust, erode a fellow student's confidence or goad someone into a fight, rumors were like a plague here. Though he paid little attention to them. Focusing on his studies and his training, Geralt had managed to excel in his training. Tapping into a deep reserve of hatred for his parents, he was able to focus it to his advantage. Often found wandering the Academy alone, exploring every nook and cranny this ancient building had to offer, he stumbled upon a blonde woman sitting silently by a window that offered a view of Iridonia's harsh daytime terrain and the looming Dark Diamond Palace in the distant capitol of Malidris. Unsure of whether or not to approach her and disturb her quiet contemplation, the young man cleared his throat and spoke.
"Sorry to disturb you, but you are Nidana, correct? We share a few classes with Master Phoenix together..."
An awkward attempt to start up a conversation, certainly, but he was always impressed by how she caught on to the studies so quickly. Rumors around the Academy claimed she was of Echani descent and an adopted daughter of the Sith'ari himself. Whether they were true or not, remained to be seen. But Geralt had no intentions of prying the truth out of her. He would try the old fashioned approach first and see where that went.

Nidana had sensed another person walking her way, though many passed her by without so much as a word, busy on their way to classes or wherever people go in this hate filled school. What did surprise her and make her, though barely visible, jump was when she was addressed. The young Echani had prided herself on being able to go unnoticed for the most part. In her studies of ancient Sith, if you can't be the most powerful, then keep your head down and do as your asked, was always the best way to avoid being a target by your so called allies. But here she was, being noticed. Slowly she turned from the window, trying to play off that this was not as big a surprise as it was, and failing. She looked the boy over. When they were in the training room together, he usually seemed so confident and skilled. Now, however, he seemed almost as scared as she was.
"H-Hi," Nidana replied. "Geralt, right? How can I help you?"
She felt so awkward, since the only conversations she had had since arriving on Iridonia had been with those she feared or instructors, often times both. Not knowing how to continue a conversation with an equal, she trailed off and waited for him to continue or decide it was too awkward and leave. She hadn't decided which she wanted...

Apparently startling the young woman, Geralt smirked sympathetically. He hadn't meant to startle her. She seemed to be quite skilled in going unnoticed, so addressing her, she seemed flustered. It was actually rather cute. Not that she needed any help in that department. He had been crushing on her for some time now. Nodding as she spoke to him, he replied.
"That's right. I...um...I didn't mean to startle you or anything. I was just wondering if you'd be interested in talking for a bit. I've watched you...er...that is to say, I've watched you train. You are incredibly graceful..."
Geralt trailed off, feeling flustered and feeling his cheeks begin to burn as he tried to shrug off the awkwardness of the situation. Averting his gaze to his feet, he shifted somewhat uncomfortably on his feet. Great idea, idiot. You wanted to talk to the pretty girl and you are bumbling through this like a flustered fan girl meeting her idol for the first time... he thought to himself. Regardless, what had been said, was said. It was either sink or swim now. And through stubborn determination, he wanted to swim.

Making room on the bench by drawing her legs up into a crisscross, she then indicated the now open part of the bench with a hand. She was taking this time to find the motives of Geralt's request. Being brought up by the Jedi, flirting was still a fairly unknown concept to the young Echani, even in her years of traveling alone, she rarely ran across anyone who was too happy to see her as she hunted for knowledge they possessed. But she did blush at the comment on her grace. What was this boy after?
"You're too kind, I am most of the time bumbling around out there, hoping Master Phoenix's strikes to find their mark. But you are a superb fighter. It actually seems like you know what you are doing."

Hesitant, at first, by Nidana's indication to come sit beside her, Geralt strode over to the bench and seated himself, avoiding eye contact with you young woman. And it had suddenly become very hot in this particular area. Shifting somewhat awkwardly, Geralt replied.
"You don't give yourself enough credit. The grace and fluidity of which you move is...remarkable..."
Blushing and smiling, he looked away from her, willing himself to change the subject. Thankfully, Nidana gave him an opening. She commented on his fighting skills. Now that was a topic in which he could discuss all day. While he couldn't come close to matching Nidana's graceful and fluid movements in training, he had exceptional reach and he was quick, which gave him a bit of an advantage. Shrugging, he spoke, the awkwardness fading as he spoke.
"I do alright, I guess. When I'm training, I have something to focus on. And most of the students here are cocky and underestimate my reach..."
As he spoke, his nerves slowly began to calm and it seemed to get progressively cooler again. Though how long that would last, he was unsure.

He seemed fairly confident in his fighting skills. He said he wanted to talk, but was this just a prelude to a challenge? Nidana's mistrust of Sith and their intentions was starting to flair up in her mind. Though there was something charming about how nervous he seemed around her. A state she rarely saw Sith show openly, or as relaxed as Geralt was. Maybe he was being genuine and only wished to talk. Then why was he so worried?
"Yes, many of the other students seem to think they will one day be Sith'ari, or someone of note. But most will amount to nothing but thralls for someone higher on the food chain."
She paused, not wanting to insult Geralt, she added to her statement hastily.
"But I'm sure you will go very far with skills like yours."
Feeling like she hadn't quite saved the conversation she turned her gaze for a moment back out the window.

Still nervous, Geralt forced a smile and a small chuckle at Nidana's statement of being nothing but thralls for someone higher up. She wasn't wrong either. Only a handful of them would actually amount to something great. Though it wasn't greatness that he strove for. He took pride in his own abilities, for those would be the only thing he could truly trust. At least for the time being. Though he could trust his sister, Lizbeth. They has grown up together in the Academy. And they often turned to each other when times got difficult. But having someone else to turn to was nice. He was enjoying this conversation with the young woman. And then he blushed, noticeably, at her comment about him going far with his skills. With a small smile, he watched her avert her gaze out the window. He took in all the details of her face. The slender curve of her jawline, the pale complexion of her skin, the fullness of her lips...all of it. Knowing that the conversation needed to change its tone, he cleared his throat and spoke once more.
"So what brought you here, anyways? I don't ever remember seeing you around until a year or two ago."
Having grown up here, he recognized most of the faces here. He may not have remembered their names, but he knew the regulars and some of the newer recruits as well. But Nidana had been a stranger up until recently.

She turned her head back to Geralt as he asked about how she came to be in this place. This was an interesting question, as she did not wish to reveal too much. But what was the harm in a little honesty? Especially in a place like this where it was so rare. She sighed and relaxed a bit, leaning back against the wall of the nook they occupied. Where to begin? Well, the beginning is usually the best place to start.
"Well, I was born on Eshan, before being found by the Jedi." She said the word with much resentment, but not pure hatred or anger like many Sith would say the word. "When I was about 16, my master made the mistake of showing my my first bits of Dark Side lore, and it fascinated me. I knew I wanted more... no not wanted, Needed. But my master thought this obsession was unhealthy and not inline with the Code. So I did what I had to. I used the Force to get the information I wanted from him. I always had a way with breaching the minds of people who have information I want..." She paused realizing how sinister and likely frightening that sounded coming from a stranger you are siting on a bench with. "B-but I don't make a habit of it in everyday stuff." A little less eagerly she continued. "From there I ran, stealing a fighter and have flown the galaxy collecting what tidbits of information I could on my own. Then two years ago I came here, hoping to use this Sith to get access to the archives of knowledge and then run like I had before. But, there's something about it that was changed my mind. I wish I knew, but I decided to stay and become one of you. I suppose it's to learn first hand..."
She trailed off. She knew why she stayed, it was her connection with the Sith'ari. She had also left out the part of delving into the crypts of forgotten Sith, those who had lost their power struggles and been buried forgotten and alone. From their spirits she had learned great powers, but not how to properly control them. Which is why she had had to spend so much more time with Master Pheonix, learning control and to find balance so she would not consume herself in her outbursts of power.
"What about you? What is your story?"

Geralt listened with rapt attention to the details Nidana spoke. Originally a Jedi? Well that explained her natural ability to pick up on things so quickly. However, hearing that she was fascinated with Dark Side lore is what he found more intriguing. And having the ability to pry information from others. Clearly there was more to this woman than met the eye. And it made her all the more fascinating to him. Obviously there was more to what she meant than she was explaining, but he wasn't going to pry. But she certainly had piqued his interest even more so. And then she handed the conversation back to him. With a sigh, he reclined on the bench they were currently seated on.
"My story is far less interesting, unfortunately. I was born on Jabiim. I never really knew my mother or my father. Just flashes of memories here and there. Nothing concrete. It was the Sith'ari who brought my sister and I here. We were quite young at the time though. I remember being afraid, then being angry. Once we were old enough, we were enrolled in the Academy. Not much to tell after that, honestly. Like I said, not terribly exciting, or interesting..."
Geralt trailed off, as if lost in thought for a moment. He wasn't, actually. He was just trying to figure out where the conversation would progress from here, as he hadn't expected Nidana to open up to him the way she had. Everyone was so guarded here. Which made it very difficult yo make friends and become a part of a group. Aside from his sister, he never really meshed with the other Zabraks here, though they all seemed to get along. And the other humans here were cold and distant from everyone. And everyone else was either too young or too old to consider hanging out with.

Nidana gave a friendly smile before responding.
"Well, perhaps your excitement is yet to come. We're still young, we'll have plenty of time to build our story and leave our marks on the galaxy... for better or worse."
She paused again, growing more interested in this young man that sat across from her.
"Speaking of, what are your goals? What do you hope waits for you at the end of your training?"

Geralt could help but chuckle as Nidana implied that their excitement was 'yet to come'. Being a hormonal adolescent, that had multiple meanings to him. However, pushing past that and resisting the urge to make a lewd comment, the young man sighed as Nidana posed another question to him. Goals? Aside from surviving training? He hadn't really thought about it.
"Well...aside from just surviving the training here, honestly I don't think I'll ever truly be 'done' training. There is too much to learn out there. Ideally, being selected by a master would be nice, but I am perfectly content to set off on my own, should that option present itself. What about you? Planning on sticking around here more, or do you have other ambitions?"
Now that the initial awkwardness was wearing off from disturbing and startling Nidana, the conversation was flowing more naturally. Provided nothing awkward came up again, Geralt would be thankful for this pace for the time being.

Nidana raised a questioning eyebrow at Geralt's chuckle, but otherwise ignored it. But what were her goals now? She sat and pondered for a moment.
"Well, I suppose much of what brought me here. I want to learn all I can of the Dark Side and the Sith. But now that knowledge and learning will have a purpose. To be applied in the most effective and efficient way possible to further our Dark Lord's goals."
She sounded more sure of this than she had about most anything else during this conversation. It was clear she was certain in this path she had chosen.
"I suppose it may have to do with my Jedi upbringing, but I am content to remain behind the scenes and to go on not being noticed by the galaxy at large. And I'm sure that attitude will save my life many times in this place."

Geralt nodded as Nidana replied to his question in kind. Admirable goals, certainly. He felt similarly towards the Sith as well. There was so much to learn and explore. And if he could help further the Sith'ari's goals, then it would have been worth it. But what he liked the most about her response was how sure she sounded. Like she knew this was exactly where she needed to be.
"I've never been one for the spotlight either. Too much trouble can come from it. But if I can help in other ways, well then all of this, the pain, suffering and general dislike for most of my peers, it will have been worth it, at least to me. I don't care about being the strongest, or the smartest. I just want to do my part. Simple as that."
The young man eyed up Nidana once more, taking in her slender beauty. She was so physically attractive, but having sat and spoken with her, she was intellectually attractive as well. Maybe it was the raging hormones talking, but he felt that approaching her earlier had been a good decision, despite the initial awkwardness. Now all he needed was some sort of indication that she was beginning to feel the same way towards him, but he guessed it would take more than a single conversation before she was fully attracted to him.

Hearing Geralt's response made her smile. If he was also a follower, then perhaps this whole conversation was not just a ploy to manipulate her to help him ascend. She closed her eyes for a moment, and reached out, touching the surface of his thoughts. It was so gentle and casual, he would not notice her slight intrusion to confirm her hopes. But she did not find any ill will, in fact quite the opposite. A strong attraction to herself. She opened her eyes again. Resisting her temptation to pry deeper, though that would be noticed by the young, handsome, man... Wait, why was that an adjective being used here? They had only just met. Nidana couldn't help but to blush and look back out the window.
"You're very different from the other students Geralt. And talking to you has been a nice change of pace from sitting and being alone."
