Watching Nidana shift her gaze out the window once more, he could have sworn he noticed something. Was she blushing? No. Couldn't be. Ignoring that for the moment, he nodded to her comment.
"Being a Sith means something different to me, I guess. No sense in being exactly like everyone else, right? Nothing would ever get accomplished then. We'd be worse than the Sith of ancient times, always slaughtering each other in vain efforts to seize power. The Sith'ari thinks differently, and I can respect that."

Nidana smiled a little, something she rarely did. He really did see himself as different, didn't he? If only he knew how many tombs of forgotten 'different' Sith she had been in. It was a fine line to tread, not being too much like everyone else and be overlooked but not being so different that you become an unwanted part of the whole. The woman shifted into a more relaxed posture as she became more comfortable with Geralt's presence.
"Be careful, some will see different as a threat. We wouldn't want that, would we?"

Noticing Nidana relax a bit, Geralt smirked at her statement.
"I'm only threatening when I want to be. Given the history of the Sith, and what the Sith'ari seems to envision for us, being different seems to be our saving grace..."
The young man reclined a bit on the bench, leaning up against the wall behind them and stretching out, relaxing now that the awkward part of this encounter was over. Nidana seemed comfortable with him, and that put him at ease.

Smiling still, Nidana shrugged a bit at his reply. "You're probably right." She looked over Geralt again. Taking in his build and the shape of his face. She could feel herself getting warm, so she turned to look out the window again, needing to change the conversation, she focused on one of the few things she did know they had in common. "What do you think of Master Phoenix's training methods?"

Watching Nidana carefully, he replied as she asked about Master Phoenix's training regiment.
"Honestly? It's actually quite useful. Honing each area of combat will certainly ensure we are suited to deal with almost any situation we may encounter once we leave the Academy. I find that a better method than some of the more aggressive and...barbaric techniques of the Sith. I'd rather be equipped to handle myself for anything than be caught off guard because we weren't trained for it."
Geralt flashed her a small smile. Preparation for a fight was key to everything they may encounter. And that was worth more to him than specialized training any day.
"What about you? What do you think of Master Phoenix's training methods?"

Nidana thought for a moment. Trying to organize her thoughts. But soon she replied.
"Well, even though I was raised Echani, I was bad at hand to hand combat. I have always been more focused on the Force and harnessing powers drawn from it. My fingers feel far more comfortable hurling lightning rather than a saber. But that's not to say that I don't see the value nor understand it's wisdom. I just know my strengths, and have already decided how I shall use them to further the Sith. Most other things seem like distractions to me. Though in some cases, necessary ones."

Geralt nodded in understanding. Certain aspects of their training thus far was more useful than others, though it was all beneficial to them, even if they didn't utilize all of it. As for distractions, well, he was finding Nidana to be more distracting than anything else...
"I definitely get where you are coming from. I see more use in the physical aspects of combat more than use of the Force, so it's nice to have some balance. I may not use all aspects, but as you said, I see the wisdom in understanding them. Most things are a distraction...though some are more welcome than others..."
The young man trailed off and averted his gaze from her. It felt as though it was getting warm in there again...

With their weekend free, Kosrezic, Theranna, and Elysta decided to take the time to just hang out and relax. More often than not, they always kept training over the weekend to become better. However, they decided to just sit back and relax for a while, letting their bodies rest after all the work they were putting in. They had elected to make it a girls day, especially since most of the guys kept working on their training. Unfortunately, Prakira had chosen to spend her time studying in the library and Raara chose to just explore the area just outside of the academy alone, leaving just the three of them. Yet, there was another they wish to try and recruit for their little gathering, someone they hadn't had many occasions to get to know.
Lizbeth Klassen always seemed to spend more time with her brother than the others, something they wished to change. They had intended to get with her before the end of their last session, but she had been gone before they could catch up with her. So they decided to spend a little bit of their time seeking her out. Hopefully, they'd find her soon. They didn't want her feeling left out and an outcast of the group.

Nidana continued to sit back in the nook, still mostly unaware of what was happening between her and Geralt. Looking out once more on the harsh landscape that surrounded the place, she could feel Geralt's gaze go someplace else. She turned back, wondering what had caught his attention. But she saw nothing, but him. She took the chance to look him over yet again before turning back to the window. Now a little warmer herself.I'm glad you find some distractions are welcome.

His mind wanders somewhere incredibly inappropriate at Nidana's latest statement. Feeling his cheeks get hot and flushed, he suddenly stood up and walked over to the window opposite to them. Keeping his back turned to Nidana, so he could cool off, he replied.
"All distractions are welcome, to a degree. How we handle them teaches us about ourselves..."
Face still burning, Geralt leaned against the window, left arm raised up against the glass, forehead resting on his forearm.

Nidana gave a soft chuckle, more of a heavy exhale. Smiling at the young man she brushed a strand of her white hair behind her ear.
"And there you go, spouting off more wisdom beyond your years. I must say, you are one of the most fascinating people I've met since coming here."

Somewhere within the Sith Academy
Vendel walked the hallways of the Sith Academy while looking down at a datapad that was filled with information that he had gathered from his time researching in the Academy library. Vendel was focused on a section of Iridonia's history that seemed to have disappeared, he knew that it hadn't just disappeared and that someone must have erased the section. He however did not know who could have done it, he did have a few ideas on who it could be but nothing concrete. There was a mention of a hidden compartment with one of the hallways that past academy students used to kept things hidden from the instructors and the Headmaster. It was Vendel's hope that one of the previous students had found something that he could use to continue his search.

Blushing deeply at Nidana's comment, Geralt kept his face hidden from her, continuing to stare out the window opposite from where she was seated."I'm not wise by any means. I'm just good at paying attention to things...and I doubt that I am nearly as fascinating as you are..."The young man slipped in that comment at the end without really thinking about it, but it was starting to get really warm in the corridor in which they were located.

It was now Nidana's turn to blush brightly. Though she tried to hide it, her pale skin betrayed her attempts. Desperate to draw attention from her crimson visage, she grabbed one of her journals and opened it to a page filled with scribbles and drawings. The words were in an ancient dead Sith dialect and the drawings resembled hieroglyphs that might decorate a wall. Nidana scooted over toward Geralt.
"Can I show you something I've been working on?"

Feeling his face cooling off, Geralt turned back to the bench where Nidana was seated. Noticing she was blushing, he smirked slightly, then seated himself next to her on the bench. Noticing the scribbles and drawings in a seemingly old leather bound book, he nodded.
"You certainly can, yes."
With how close she was now seated to him, he instinctively placed his arm across the back of the bench, behind Nidana, without thinking as she showed him the book and its contents.

Nidana's eyes lit up with excitement as Geralt assented to seeing some of her findings.
"I once found my way to Dromund Kaas. It's an awful place and I wouldn't recommend it as a vacation destination, but it was overflowing with the Darkside, and it's knowledge." She indicated the hieroglyphs. "I found these in the burial chamber of an unknown Sith Lord. It's part of the details of an ambitious plan for new monstrous alchemical beasts. See, look at this one in the center."
The image she showed him depicted a creature with an armored vertebrate body, a long, bifurcated whip-like tail, one arm with a single talon for a hand, and a head with an armored crest. But surrounding it where slightly different ones, such as with wings, or two talons. And outside of those it looked like a representation of a whole horde with those mutations.
"These creatures share, telepathically, not just their hive mind, but also how to unlock these different mutations. So if a winged creature moves within range of a none winged creature, they will be able to take on each others mutations! They are so elegantly designed, so as to never make each individuals DNA too complex, allowing for easy mass production. This Sith's ideas where sadly too advanced for his time, though with the advances made in Cloning and Sith Alchemy since his time, I believe we could make these a reality."
She finally paused for a breath. She had never shared this idea before with anyone else and suddenly felt like she was going to be judged for it, or that Geralt would find an obvious flaw in the plan that she had been too blind to see.
"Sorry for just spewing all that at you, I'm sure that I sounded like a mad woman just then."

Geralt listened for a few moments, noting how passionate Nidana was about this particular subject. The beasts were incredibly ugly and rather hideous, but then again, when had any sort of creature related to Sith Alchemy ever not looked hideous? It was an ambitious undertaking and it would need approval by the headmaster. Looking over the hieroglyphs for a few more moments, Geralt jumped up and grabbed Nidana's hand, pulling her towards him.
"Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Let's go see if we can make it happen? I'm sure the Headmaster will hear us out!"
Flashing her a grin, he hoped she would be as receptive to the idea of going to see the Headmaster as he was...

Nidana almost stumbled into Geralt from the sudden tug up and forward. The Echani blushed and smiled for a second as she realized he was holding her hand. But then the realization of what he had asked her to do sunk in. She tugged for him to come back to the bench with a look of fear on her face.
No! I can't! It's not ready. I'm not ready. I don't have enough skill in Alchamey to create these things. And I'll be damned if I let another Sith steal my work for his own.

Feeling her tugging on his hand, he paused and turned to look at her. The fear within her was apparent. As was the look on her face.
"Okay, okay..."
Instinctively, he pulled her in close to reassure her. He had no idea she wasn't prepared to do this just yet and it had been foolish of him to assume she was. Hopefully she would realize that he didn't mean any harm over what he suggested a few moments ago.

As the pair sat back down, Nidana took a deep breath and calmed back down. She could feel and see the sincerity in Geralt's actions. But it had caught her off guard. The last time she had expressed an academic passion to someone, it was her former Jedi Master, and he shut that down very fast.
"Thank you for listening. It means a lot to me."
She was very close to him now, looking deep into his eyes. Their noses almost touching she felt an almost instinctual pull to get even closer. But before either party could act on that instinct their data pads buzzed with an important message from Gavin. It seemed the final preparations for an 'off world training exercise' had been finished, and all the students were to meet in the hanger packed and ready to go ASAP. Nidana had pulled away a bit to check the message, though only one handed as she was still holding Geralt's in her other one.
"Oh. Well, I guess I'll see you on the ship."
She squeezed his hand before she got up to start heading to her dorm room. But about to paces away she turned around, blushing as she rushed back to Geralt and gave him a soft kiss on the check and whispered in his ear, "Thanks again!" But then she ran off to her room still blushing deeply.
